Zimmerman, parents, attorneys, Sanford police chief all got death threats

In an exclusive interview with ABC’s Barbara Walters, George Zimmerman’s parents, Robert and Gladys, said they don’t know where their son is because he is in hiding, having received death threats.

George’s parents, too, have received death threats, as have George’s attorneys and the police chief of Sanford, FL, where the shooting of 17-year-old, 5′ 11″ Trayvon Martin took place in a gated community last year.

Robert Zimmerman said, “We have had an enormous amount of death threats. George’s legal counsel has had death threats, the police chief of Sanford, many people have had death threats. ‘Everyone with Georgie’s DNA should be killed’ — Just every kind of horrible thing you can imagine.”

The Zimmermans said they are too afraid to return to their Orlando home, and they haven’t even spoken to their son, who also is in hiding: “Under the circumstances, we have not been able to talk to him. To tell you the truth, we don’t trust anything, not even the phones.”

Gladys Zimmerman said her son lives off small stipends from his legal defense fund and is unemployed and without health insurance. Asked if he can ever have a normal life again, she said, “Only time will tell. Even for us, we have not been living a normal life for the past months. It is hard. We have lost everything, everything — the whole family, not only George. The whole family. We have lost everything.”

Robert Zimmerman said the decision to bring charges against his son was based on politics rather than the facts: “I never thought that we would see so much hatred, and the hatred is not brought on by any racial incident. It was brought on by attorneys being totally untruthful, other people being involved, having a certain narrative, having a certain agenda, and making this situation race-based and a political issue.”

Asked what they would say to Martin’s family, Gladys Zimmerman said, “We are deeply sorry for this tragedy. We pray for Trayvon Martin to be in a better place. He is always in our prayers.”

Meanwhile, as everyone associated with George Zimmerman are getting death threats, what do the U.S. president and the U.S. attorney general have to say?

POS & Holder

As U.S. Attorney General and head of the Department of Justice, Eric Holder is America’s chief cop. This is what he said about the Zimmerman verdict yesterday, during a previously scheduled speech in Washington before the Delta Sigma Theta sorority’s convention:

“This tragedy provides yet another opportunity for our nation to speak honestly about the complicated and emotionally-charged issues that this case has raised. We must not – as we have too often in the past – let this opportunity pass.”

Holder called on the country “to prevent future tragedies and to deal with the underlying attitudes, mistaken beliefs and stereotypes that serve as the basis for these too common incidents,” and urged a national discussion to be conducted “with the same dignity that those who have lost the most, Trayvon’s parents, have demonstrated throughout the last year. [The Justice Department] “will continue to act in a manner that is consistent with the facts and the law.”

In other words, for Holder, it’s still all about Trayvon and how blacks are treated.

What about the President of the United States?

In a statement posted on the White House web site following the jury’s acquittal of Zimmerman, Obama called the death of Trayvon Martin a tragedy” and urged “calm reflection,” saying “We are a nation of laws, and a jury has spoken.”

Obama then used the occasion to renew his call for gun control! He said, “We should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to stem the tide of gun violence that claims too many lives.”

Eventually there will be a day of reckoning. From the lowest of pond scum all the way to the White House. You can’t hide from the light forever.

This is all so disgusting. The real problem is the thousands of black against white crimes that happen daily. By the way, I don’t mean this as a rude value judgment, but Zimmerman is my age (two mos older than me) but his parents look WAY older than mine.

I asked this over at NB, so I’ll ask it here at FotM:

Just exactly how close to death are we supposed to let someone beat us before we are allowed to put a bullet in their ass and stop it?

To Will and DCG , if you remember Ted Kennedy’s gun-control idiotic thought from about 15 yrs. ago or so , his train of thought was totally the opposite of the Stand your Ground law . Under his law , if it was ever passed , if a home was broken into , the homeowner HAD to leave the premises to avoid a confrontation and let the thugs do as they please . Even if there were other people in the house , they’re screwed .

You can put any 2 people into the roles of Zimmerman and Trayvon. You can designate they be of any race you choose, even the same race, and the same outcome will likely happen. If someone was on top of me, smashing my head into the sidewalk, and I had a gun within reach, I would shoot to kill. I don’t care what color is on the face of the attacker.

FOTM, you are sorely mistaken. The government schooled faceless masses would never, ever, ever act in such an animalistic, uncivilized manner. Obama and Holders Children always speak of love, peace, free money, and the greater good. Surely their children and grandparents Jesse Jackson, NAACP would never even condone racism and violence. Yes, this was cheap sarcasam on my part and it felt good too!

When obama said, ‘when I see Travon I see my children.” did he mean his girls are smoking dope, texting nasty gang bang messages, taking pictures with guns,,being questioned for local robberies and wondering through neighborhoods which they do not belong? I guess he’s been spending to much time on the road….time for some family meetings….

This kind of thing will have serious unintended consequences. Up until now, the KKK was nothing more than a tired Hollywood memory. But if white people continue to be murdered by gangs of feral black teen agers, even with media and police trying to cover up the truth, you can bet there will be retaliation. And in case you are wondering, this is not something I want to see happen.

What exactly do the “Americans” who are being promoted as the entire nation it woud appear, want? Alternatvely which “Americans”? Rev. Sharpton seems to be one of the ringleaders which is so weird, he was James Brown’s pastor and JB was put in jail etc. and “Americans” didn’t march or protest very much, Michael Jackson’s death didn’t cause riots.
Criminal Civil Rights action? Hate crime? Is it a hate crime if the President decides to wipe out someone who isn’t the same color as himself? What color is that anyhow, yhellow?

The true rainbow colors of his non-racial based case. Stop condoning racial tensions. You’re arguments are incredibly ill-researched and one-sided. This fag does not deserve any kind of defense from CHRISTIANS.

@harriet how is all this going to pan out when Hispanics are going to be 50% of U.S. population in 15-20 yrs. u.s. census?? And how will blacks fare if they start to put a wedge in Black/Hispanic relations. They are already beating up Hispanics in the name of Trayvon Martin. Might need the NRA!

I fear the wedge is already here. In parts of Los Angeles relations between Blacks and Hispanic are pretty bad. The media has downplayed it, but in several high schools, tensions between Hispanic and Black students have been so tense that there have been riots and near riots. Also I remember reading a while ago that in Georgia gangs of Black thugs were beating and robbing Hispanic immigrants. The most recent news I’ve read comes from New Jersey where there has been a string of assault robberies committed by gangs of (sigh) blacks.

Thank you Dr. Eowyn for this fascinating post. Once again, the king and his regime have no business whatsoever commenting on what the jury found in this case. They listened to the testimony and reviewed all of the evidence admitted in this matter. This is so inappropriate it makes me sick.
