“You’re Not Depressed, You’re Oppressed”

Depression

Are you lonely?

Do you have days when you want to scream, cry, or just hide under a rock? Days when you feel like a square peg in a round world? Do you wonder why everyone else seems so blissfully happy while your life is miserable?

Well, I’ve got news for you: You’re not depressed, you’re oppressed.

If you’re repulsed by the sight of two men kissing each other on national television (NFL draft pick Michael Sam and his “boyfriend”), you’re not a homophobe, you’re normal. Anyone who doesn’t feel repulsed by this act is mentally and morally defective, living in a state of denial, and definitely not living in accordance with nature and God.

If you’re horrified at the thought of grade school girls sharing bathrooms and shower facilities with boys (the law for schools in California), unisex bathrooms and shower facilities in Texas (the law now in Houston), and unisex bathrooms in all government buildings (courtesy of aka Obama), you’re not a bigot, you’re a healthy American. You have genuine concern for the well-being of children. You never expected to wake up one day and find that our federal government and many of our state legislatures are stocked with sexual deviants and perverts.

If you’re fed up with mindless television drivel, agenda-driven movies, unfunny comedians, and satanic Baphomet bimbos masquerading as pop stars, there’s nothing wrong with you. You have good taste. You appreciate art, beauty, humor, and the best in human nature. It’s not your fault that the world of entertainment is now populated by talentless hacks, many of whom have literally sold their souls to the devil.

If you’re heartbroken over relationships that didn’t work out or never happened to begin with, cheer up. The fact that you possess above average intelligence and sensitivity, lowers the number of potential mates and romantic partners that you would be compatible with by a wide margin. (Most Americans are just plain clueless. Would you really be happy in a relationship with someone like that?) Don’t give up though. Love may give up on you, but never let it be said that you gave up on love.

If you’re angry over the lies told to you about Sandy Hook, Boston, Benghazi, Obamacare, the IRS scandal, and dozens of other issues, and that the first two events may have involved crisis actors and elements of our own government, you’re not a conspiracy kook. Healthy skepticism is a good thing, and you’re actually far smarter than the vast majority of Americans. I defy anyone to read the meticulously researched posts on this site concerning Sandy Hook, Boston, and others and come away still believing in the fairy tales we’ve been told by the media.

If you’re confused and feeling that there’s something dreadfully wrong with our country, but you can’t quite put your finger on it, you’re not paranoid. There is something dreadfully wrong. It’s called Leftism and it’s personified in the Democratic Party. Don’t blame yourself. You didn’t know that our once great country would today be under the authority of a Communist, fraudulently-elected president, who just might be a flat-out satanist.

If you’re saddened by the state of your health, take heart. You were never taught at school or at home that our once healthy food supply would now be contaminated with chemicals, manufactured in factories, and unfit to eat. A healthier life for you begins today if you choose to go organic. (See our “Health, Finance & Security Tips” page!)

If you’re distraught over your financial condition and living paycheck-to-paycheck, it’s not your fault. No one ever told you that your hard-earned money would be taken against your will by the government and used to reward illegal aliens, to line the pockets of corrupt politicians and unions, and to bribe the votes of those who prefer to stay home and watch bad television to working.

If you’re especially upset over the current war on Christianity, realize this: the fact that the Left has to resort to so many hostile, dishonest, and evil acts in order to weaken God’s religion is a clear demonstration of just how powerful Christianity is. Don’t leave it to the Pope, the priests, or other clergy to right the ship. If Christianity survives it will only be due to people like you.

If you’re weary over fighting the good fight and ready to throw in the towel, don’t do it. One of Sun-tzu’s first rules of warfare is to make the enemy give up before the fight even starts. Your giving up is exactly what the enemy wants, and everything described above is purposely designed to accomplish exactly that. Don’t give up, get active.

See “How God-loving Americans can restore our country in 9 simple steps.”

If you’re still feeling down, then take some practical steps right now to alter your mood. Stand or sit up straight and look up. (Did you know that’s it’s impossible to feel depressed while gazing upward, especially at the sky?) Get off all sugar and practice good nutrition. (Study the health discoveries of Dr. Weston Price.) Listen to classical music and read positive life-affirming books and articles. Be grateful for all the love in your life, even if it’s just you loving yourself. (Or the love God bestows upon you through His bountiful food.) It’s impossible to be thankful and grateful without being happy.

  1. Sage, very sage. Thank you.

  2. We’re oppressed, not depressed. What an insightful distinction, Mike! I so appreciate your posts for FOTM being invariably POSITIVE in outlook, with a can-do message and attitude.

Since our enemy, Satan, never gives up. I don’t give up either. Ever.

  3. Thank you for your excellent article that covered so many very relevant matters. I would like to add just one weapon that was in our Sunday night Bible teaching/prayer session: PRAISE THE LORD!! Sing, worship, praise, get your entire being focused on the Lord, and Satan will lose his power. It will also open us up for the Lord to work in and with us more freely, and it will give Him control of the circumstances. I am not minimizing the trials many are going through; in these times, we need all the help we can get. I know that it is easy to get down when we are attacked and there seems to be no answer, but we have to keep our focus up, as Mike wrote.

This blog totally resonates with my “thoughts” of definitely being re/oppressed daily! Thanks for the reminder of the Almighty’s blessings.

  5. “You’re Not Depressed,…”

    Wanna bet?

  6. At first before I could see where this was going I wondered if the reference to being “oppressed” was to mock people who whine and think the world owes them something, LOL!

That homo kiss was so gross, and the guy who got in trouble for his tweet was so much milder in his complaining than he could have been.

Yes, there is plenty to turn our stomachs at the moral depravity in this country. I, for one, will never apologize for telling the truth. When people apologize for telling the truth, they are in essence, giving their power over to the perverts. Would we expect anything positive from Obama? Are we disappointed in the Manchurian Candidate? A country is only as good as the leaders in it. The resident Obama is for flaming homosexuals, against the Jews, hates the Christians and courts Satan. Did the numbskulls in this, country, who voted for him, really expect something good? Obama is a punishment upon America for the murders of millions of innocent babies. America is under judgment because too many are turning their backs on God and Israel. America is ceasing to be good, therefore, it is being punished by the Kenyan. There is a lot to be depressed about. Sometimes, I do get depressed, exasperated, and tired, at the situation in this country but then I go to the Bible for strength. Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. That verse helps me stay in focus. God Bless All! Leeann Springer

  8. Mike,
Thanks for posting this. I really needed some cheering up today and this did the trick!!! Thank you!!! 🙂

  9. WOW! It’s very rare that I find a written piece like this that gets me to read every word. Thanks you for voicing what at one time would have been considered …NORMAL….
    Just THANKS.

  10. Thank you Mike, for this. I am heartsick at what I see every day. Yet, I know that this is exactly where “THEY” want us. They want us to give up, and accept their depravity and evil conduct as being the new normal. We must keep Faith in the American Spirit, which terrifies them! They cannot locate it, bottle it, destroy it. Faith is the key!

    • Dear Mike, what a much needed wake up call your commentary has been for me. I can relate on all levels! Even the part about being lonely and not being able to find a mate. I always blamed myself, thinking that my criteria was unrealistic. But now I know that it’s not me. And you’re right….it truly is slim pickins’ now days. I was even considering a low dose antidepressant, even though I have always been against such meds. I thought I was beginning to loose it……so many ups and downs. If I am to continue to be a “watcher on the wall” for our Lord then I will suck it up, put up with the lows and thank God for the days of peace and joy. After all, any of us that serve our Lord Jesus will suffer for His name sake. This should really bring us joy in and of itself. Thank you once more.Mike for this post. I think you have done a great service to many readers and lifted many spirits. God Bless You for your insight!

  13. AWESOME post, Mike, thanks forever! Reminded me of a devotion I wrote years ago about the sky:
“God called the expanse ‘sky'” (Genesis 1:8).
When our sons were little I used to take them down to a pond near our house and let them play there. When I felt it was safe enough, I would lie back for a few seconds and look at the sky. I’ve always thought that looking at the expanse somehow put hurries and worries back where they belonged. The sky was boundless and swallowed the minutiae and minutes into the larger picture of God’s enduring love and concern for every single part and pang of life. After a time the endless diapers and dishes and dirt didn’t seem so terribly important after all, not in the sunlight of the slowly moving and lofty white clouds.
I even used to look for messages! Clouds have always fascinated me, and they take some unusual shapes that can stir the imagination. One of my favorite psalms is Psalm 104, particularly verse 3: “He makes the clouds his chariot…” When I would cloud-gaze, I would see a chariot and take off–and then the little ones would quickly bring me back to unadorned reality. But even those few seconds of fantasy helped me to face stark life again.
Sometimes a storm cloud darkens our horizon. But I’ve noticed through the years that the most beautiful sunrises are behind the darkest clouds! Many times I have observed the sun rising on stormy mornings and been awed by the aura and I’m again reminded of that precious promise to Noah in Genesis 9:13, “I have set my rainbow in the clouds…”
I recommend looking to the sky when we lose sight of priorities. Somehow a glance at the universe of sky whittles reality down a bit to just how important something is. When life and its demands, both its petties and profundities, overwhelms us, glancing at the sky brings peace, serenity, a feeling that when we bring our eyes back to earth, to the horizontal view of things, all will be in place again. Vertical gives us a perpendicularly new view of our life and its abundant blessings as well as responsibilities.

  14. Thanks, Mike – I really appreciate that….

  15. Thank you Mike for this excellent post, full of wisdom, good discretion and proper conclusions. Your advice is sound.

During the Sacrament of Confession in September of 2006, the wonderful priest told me this:

    Thank God in all things and situations;
    Praise God in all things and situations;
Live in the Mystery of the Cross; and,
    Live in the present.

We are Soldiers of Christ. I will never give up the good fight. I will use the example of St. Paul who ran the race, fought the good fight who brought Our Lord Jesus Christ everywhere he went. I make it a daily habit to evangelize in a tasteful and relevant way, when I go to Wal-Mart or anywhere in public where the opportunity provides such action.

And always remember saying it numerous times a day: Jesus, I Trust In You!!!

What an inspiring and uplifting post Mike! Thank you. Patricia; your post was rather poetic and so cheerful. Very often, to myself, I sing the Doxology hymn “Praise God from whom all blessings flow”. Also, the Apostles Creed is a strength giver. Always remember, the Lord is the lifter up of our souls……….Blessings to all, Leeann

  17. [Greetings, FOTM. This is what I discovered on the stimulating web.]

Harvey Milk Stamped “Out” Forever !

The Obama Cabal is behind universal GAYety with a “forever” postage stamp issued by the US Pederastal Service which idolizes Harvey Milk, a Jewish pederast “attracted to boys aged 15-19,” according to WikiAnswers! (Also see Wikipedia.)
Global gaydom was even predicted by Jesus (see “days of Lot” in Luke 17 and compare with Genesis 19).
And the Hebrew prophet Zechariah (14th chapter) says that during the same end-time gay “days” ALL nations will come against Israel and fulfill the “days of Noah” at the same time (see Luke 17 again) – a short time of anti-Jewish genocide found in Zechariah 13:8 when two-thirds of all Jews will die.
In other words, when “gay days” have become universal, all hell will break loose!
The same “days” will cause worldwide human government to collapse in just a few short years! For the first time ever there won’t be enough time for anyone to attend college, have a family, enjoy retirement, etc. It will also be the last time anyone like ObabaBlackSheep will be able to keep pulling the wool over our eyes!
One final thought. The more we see gays “coming out,” the sooner Jesus will be “coming down”!
For more, Google or Yahoo “God to Same-Sexers: Hurry Up,” “Jesus Never Mentioned Homosexuality. When gays have birthdays…,” “FOR GAYS ONLY: Jesus Predicted…,” “USA – from Puritans to Impure-itans!” and “The Background Obama Can’t Cover Up.”
(PS: HOMOgenized Milk has been honored by Gov. Schwarzenaggravator as well as ObabaBlackSheep.)

  18. That lucid insight just kickstarted me out of a terrible depression. I have been suicidal. Pray for me guys. Please. I am still looking after my family, (alone) after 30 years( yes they came back home, one of them with a baby now 10 years old) and its kind of got to the point that I am so burnt out I have nothing left now. I have a bit of time these days to paint but there is just nothing left in me. No desires, inspiration, I tried to draw today my hand shook. My health not great, with thyroid and Hashimoto’s. I just want to breathe again and get back my creativity, instead of battle after battle. I even have to chase up the pigs that bring their dogs up to the gate to crap and refuse to pick it up. I live in Spain. It is not as bad here as in the USA, but when I see what goes on all over the world and the wickedness I just want to take a load of pills and get out. Need some fellowship….

  19. Just something that might help. After spending two days grizzling to God about Him not helping me, making me feel fantastic or speaking to me, etc etc, I laid under the covers in the dark and I was asking God what else do I have to do to get Him to help me and feel His presence or feel anything actually. And it came to my mind very quietly, “Praise Me”. And I thought, well that was not the devil, he won’t tell me to praise God, and it wasn’t me, as I am complaining, so God did speak to me and tell me what I had to do. So I just sang the Doxology, and I feel a bit better.

    • deborah:

Keep your eyes fixed on the crucifix. Nothing we suffer will ever approach what our Lord endured.
      Jesus loves us this much

    • deborahanne20, I just came out of a time of great darkness, too. Oppression from a relative had much to do with it. I am an even tempered man, but something caused me to go completely black. My pastor and some other friends prayed for me, and their faith added to mine helped greatly. And then I heard a sermon on making sure you are taking your sabbath rest at regular intervals in order to keep your strength and peace. That really made a difference. Our emotions are tied to our physical bodies, and if we get run down, we may find it very hard to emotionally rise above the hassles we all face. I will pray for you, and urge you to start taking reliable breaks from the demands of others, once a week, or once a day, whatever fits your world. And don’t surrender your peace to someone else’s crisis. (Note: I am preaching to myself, too.) (And thank you Dr. Eowyn for your timely prayers)

  20. Be greatly blessed, and, deborahanne20 (you don’t look that old, o.k., pardon my attempt at humor, but, these days, we all need some.) Seriously, have often been there, Mike wrote a great posting and many great comments followed. These are end times for Lucifer, the serpent, on earth filled with wrath for God’s people, Revelation/Apocalypse 12, that is great advice, praise the Lord! This is a day for Job Christians to stand firmly for God as Lucifer tries to show Him how weak our faith is. Your comments show me your strength and faithfulness, an inspiration to me. You show wisdom, as well in not just your comments about praise, but about sharing your story with us; we can all pray for you and be encouraged by you. In the name of Jesus, God bless you!

Ain’t praise of God a kick in the head? To Satan, that is.
