Your frontrunner, demorats: Biden vows tax credit will put “720 million” women back in the work force

From Fox News: Former Vice President Joe Biden made another gaffe on Tuesday, this time suggesting that his child tax credit plan will put “720 million women” back into the workforce.

Speaking at the Workers’ Presidential Summit in Philadelphia, the 2020 frontrunner mocked the idea of having a tax break for “a racehorse” and not one for having children.

“You get a tax break for a racehorse, why in God’s name couldn’t we provide an $8,000 tax credit for everybody who has childcare costs?” Biden told the crowd. “It would put 720 million women back in the workforce. It would increase the GDP, to sound like a wonk here, by about eight-tenths of one percent. It would grow the economy.”

According to the U.S. Census, there are 330 million people living in the country.

Biden’s gaffes have recently been targeted by the Trump campaign in a new video questioning his fitness to lead.

The web video, tweeted Tuesday morning by campaign manager Brad Parscale and shared first with Fox News, stitches together everything from his recent debate-stage musing about “record players” to his statement that “poor kids” are just as talented as “white kids.” Interspersed with the clips of the 76-year-old Biden’s comments are those of pundits wondering about his stumbles, shakiness, mental and physical stamina, whether he’s “lost a step” and whether he’s “equipped for a very grueling campaign.”

The former vice president’s age and mental acuity have been questioned ever since he launched his 2020 presidential campaign in late April. Last week, the front-runner in the Democratic nomination race faced repeated attacks from rivals over his memory.

Former Housing Secretary Julian Castro, who served in the Obama administration with Biden, landed arguably the lowest blow when he swiped at Biden’s memory — accusing him of contradicting himself on whether Americans would have to buy into his health care plan.

“You just said two minutes ago they would have to buy in. Are you forgetting what you said two minutes ago?” Castro asked, in what appeared to be a reference to past senior moments by Biden.

In that case, as the Biden campaign later noted, Castro was wrong. Biden did not say during the debate that individuals would have to buy in. Instead, he said that individuals would automatically be enrolled if they lost their jobs.

But Biden has drawn criticism for other stumbles. And another rival, Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey, backed Castro after the debate and raised further questions about Biden’s ability to carry the banner for the Democrats into 2020.

“I think we are at a tough point right now, because there’s a lot of people concerned about Joe Biden’s ability to carry the ball all the way across the end line without fumbling,” Booker told CNN in an interview. “And I think that Castro had really legitimate concerns about can he be someone in a long grueling campaign… and has every right to call out.”

notice that he didn’t say american women.

i think he was referring to the entire female population of central and south america, whom he expects will travel to the U.S. and join our labor force once he is in the oval office.

Many are speculating crazy uncle Joe will name cankles as his VP, then resign 1 year into his presidency so she can be president. I’d be more afraid of landing myself on the clinton casualty list.

It could be that most of the speculating is coming from cankles herself. Yeah, if it comes to that Joey better make sure his life insurance is paid up and stay out of planes and cancel any hunting trips

Joey was just being honest, the 720 million figure factored in the massive increase in illegal immigration that the demoncrats are planning (Fauxcahontas says 800 percent). Note to Cory: It’s goal line, not “end line”. His mistake is understandable though, Cory “Pennywise” Booker was one of those ‘sensitive” boys who played with dolls instead of playing football.

My take is that CNN and the rest of the hardcore left are all of a sudden stabbing Biden in the back, not because of his gaffes and age and fear he’d lose, but because they’re freaking out at the thought he might win. They already smell victory going around Biden’s left side to all-out socialism, massive tax increases, gun confiscation, and indirect white repression, all of which might be whittled down to modest tax increases and some burdensome but non-confiscatory gun laws with Biden in the WH. Just guessing, of course, but if I were running his campaign, I’d… Read more »

A good indication of how low the bar has been set is that the other “candidates” don’t have the standing to hold Pedo Joe’s coat. And they don’t with the possible exception of Warren, she of the fake prestige. She’s got it all, hardcore Marxist, Woman of Color, former “college professor” (just like Hussein). Ans she smiles a lot. As to your last sentence, can you even imagine, in your worst nightmares, President Castro? That name sounds familiar for some reason

Sanders too has “standing” if only because he ran last time. He had his moment in the spotlight but as we said back in the day, you can’t sell bullsh*t twice. And so much of the process is about selling, merchandising, perceptions, optics. In that sense, cheap, stodgy, wispy-haired old farts are a tough sell. Even if they have (((Brooklyn))) accents

Biden for all his weaknesses is at least polished and personable and probably the more appealing to the broader, non-socialist base within the Dem Party they’ll need to win, but Warren, Sanders, Booker, and Castro are peevish, disagreeable creeps who Biden can more or less sit back and let shoot themselves in the foot. I think the Republican leadership is going to throw the election anyway as they clearly did the last time around.

Liberals will say ANYTHING to score points. Every once in a while, their comments are so outrageous even the liberal press has to recognize them. If crazy uncle Joe would have said 720 thousand, he would not have been challenged.
