Toddlers & Tiaras (Wed., 10PM ET on TLC) is an American reality series that debuted on TLC in 2009. The show follows the controversial world of child beauty pageants, looking closely at the pageant contestants and their families as the children prepare for their pageant shows. The show airs without any narration to avoid “passing judgment.”
Catherine Lawson reports for AOL TV, September 1, 2011, that “The mothers and managers on ‘Toddlers & Tiaras’  often make what seem to us to be questionable choices, and this week was no exception.”
The mother of a contestant named Maddy dressed up her four-year-old daughter as Dolly Parton, complete with wig, rhinestones, and adult “enhancements” of fake boobs and butt.

Maddy, 4, in training to be a hooker

Even Maddy’s stylist Michael confesses that he’s not a fan of “the boobies.” But Maddy thinks she looks cute in her outfit. When Michael asks if she thinks she’d be just as cute without the fake boobs he gets an emphatic “No!”
The pageant’s judges also think that Maddy looked cute. The 4-year-old Dolly Parton won a whole slew of awards: ‘Best Fashion’, ‘Best Hair’, ‘Photogenic’ and ‘Sweetest Face’.

  1. This is completely grotesque! The mothers who participate in this are worse than pedophiles! They are living vicariously through their children, taking their precious childhood away. Their children should be taken from them.

  2. remember “Jon Ben’et Ramsey” this is a terrible thing to do to your children

  3. “Sweetest Face” That is so friggin childmolesty.

  4. Absolutely disgusting. Betcha this girl has issues my her early teens, if she doesn’t already..,

  5. This is total madness. That sight of little Maddy is just sickening and totally not cute at all. What is her mum thinking really?! Thank you for the post and you are not the only one concerned.
