Watch Trump’s Wall being constructed in New Mexico!

Rate this post

In April, construction began on a 20-mile stretch of replacement wall on the Mexico border in Santa Teresa, New Mexico.

Here is a drone’s view of the wall being built.

In September, construction began in Texas of 4 miles of replacement wall between El Paso, Texas, and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. (See “The Wall is being built, bit by bit“)

Congress has so far approved only $1.6 billion of the $25 billion Trump had sought for the wall. As part of the $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill passed last March, Congress earmarked only $1.6 billion for border security, a paltry $38 million of which is allowed to be used for “border barrier planning and design.”

  1. That wall should have been put up back in 1996 like Pat Buchanan wanted. That wall is the most pro-environmental ‘thing’ a US President can do.

  2. With the new NAFTA, parity is being approached to the horror of globalists. It is for the good of the Mexican worker and Mexico that the wall and added tariffs exist. The intended increase in wages for them will increase their standard of living and not destroy ours. For the few who didn’t know, before 1913, most of Federal revenue came from tariffs, not income taxes.

    • Well, it goes without saying that if we had parity, we wouldn’t need a wall. Mexico is such a rathole. If it weren’t, they’d stay there. There is also the issue of disease as well.

If we stopped the free stuff, they’d stop coming. We do not have enough jobs for citizens. It would be a very foolish country that allowed illegal aliens to come to sponge off the productive citizens and take jobs away from those who live here. Maybe that’s why we have such a problem.

  3. There are long sections that are nothing but sticks and barbed wire. This wall was never serious. There are vast stretches that are virtually un-patrolled. any building is an improvement, but it will take a serious effort if this is what they want to do.

  4. The wall should be contiguous from Brownsville, TX to Tijuana with a minimum 30 ft wide ditch 12 feet deep in front and some anti personal mines in the rear just in case someone were to get over.
