War Against the Child

“[T]he greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child, a direct killing of the innocent child, murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another? […]

By abortion, the mother does not learn to love, but kills even her own child to solve her problems. And, by abortion, that father is told that he does not have to take any responsibility at all for the child he has brought into the world. The father is likely to put other women into the same trouble. So abortion just leads to more abortion.

Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. This is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion.”

Mother Teresa (1910-1997), National Prayer Breakfast speech (Washington, D.C, February 3, 1994)

Mother Teresa was beatified on Oct. 19, 2003, a necessary step toward sainthood.

Some abortion facts from Wikipedia:

  • According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), since 1973, roughly 50 million legal induced abortions have been performed in the United States.
  • In 2004, the rates of abortion by ethnicity in the U.S. were 50 abortions per 1,000 black women, 28 abortions per 1,000 Hispanic women, and 11 abortions per 1,000 white women.
  • According to the most recent Gallup Poll on abortion, May 5-8, 2011, Americans are virtually in a deadlock: 45% are pro-life vs. 49% pro-“choice”.
  • A CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll in January 2003 found that 84% of Americans wanted third-trimester (or late term) abortions to be illegal.

Barack Obama is not among that 84%. As Illinois state senator, he thrice voted against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. Doing so is an effective vote for infanticide.

Had Casey Anthony chosen to abort little Caylee anytime up to the day before giving birth, Caylee’s murder would have been perfectly legal and defended vociferously as a “woman’s right to choose.”

  2. Sigh…As a woman, I’ve never understood the “right to choose” argument. I know I’m capable of getting prenant and it is MY CHOICE, and most importantly, MY RESPONSIBILITY, to choose wisely. If I become pregnant, that is my responsibility as a woman to bear the child. I just pray one day that all women can understand that.

  3. I wonder if it ever enters B.O’s head to be thankful his mother didn’t abort him?

  4. Yeah. This is messed up. More messed up then child rape. IT IS THE KILLING IF UNBORN CHILDREN! AND BY THIER PERENTS! Next thing you know, Obama executes all Christians.
