Virginia Considers Creating Own Currency

Rate this post

Sign of the times.
America is $14 trillion in debt. The secretive Federal Reserve System — a bastard-hybrid of privately-owned banks that act as America’s central bank with limited government supervision — secretly bailed out foreign banks for a mind-boggling $12.3 trillion. The much-anticipated demise of the dollar is given an extra push by last November’s announcement by China and Russia that they’ve abandoned the dollar and will use their own currencies for bilateral trade.
Now comes news that the state of Virginia is considering adopting its own currency.
A bill has been prefiled for the 2011 session of the Virginia state House with this title:

Establishing a joint subcommittee to study whether the Commonwealth should adopt a currency to serve as an alternative to the currency distributed by the Federal Reserve System in the event of a major  breakdown of the Federal Reserve System.

After the first couple of introductory pages, the bill gets down to the real job at hand — a proposal for the state of Virginia to create its own currency:

“RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That a joint subcommittee be  appointed to study whether the Commonwealth should adopt a currency to serve as an alternative to the currency distributed by the Federal Reserve System in the event of a major breakdown of the Federal  Reserve System.”

Here’s the proposed bill in pdf.
And here’s a piece of trivia for you: Can you find the little owl hiding in the dollar bill?

Okay, here’s a hint:

Still don’t see it?
Tada! Here it is!

Now, why would our government hide a teeny-weeny owl in the dollar bill?

  1. This is very practical under the circumstances! Yes, I wonder about the meaning of the owl.

  2. owl be darned. there was an owl there on that there dollar bill.

  3. Could it be that the Illuminati sacrifices to a great owl such as in Bohemian Grove?

  4. Yeppers, just one of the all-too-many weird points that are part of the “bastard-hybrid of privately-owned banks that act as America’s central bank with limited government supervision….”
The best single source for the history and meaning of money and currency is “The Lost Science of Money” by Stephen Zarlenga, 2nd Edition now out. Not only will you discover the truth of all the BS put out by the Fed and TPTB, but Stephen offers solid, positive ways to correct these evils and restore Constitutional control of our wealth and destiny. I’ve read it over and again, it’s full of wonderful insights, and the hundreds of illustrations alone are worth the price of the book!

  5. Eowyn, Are you sure that ain’t a short beaked eagle?

  6. An owl, a spider.. who cares… its just the symbol for wisdom, the founding fathers etc wanted Gods help in letting them make wise decisions, conspiracy nuts can find an occult symbol in the toilet if they want… lol… As far as Virginia creating their own currency, that is nuts! What is it valued on, the coal industry… lol…

  7. why not ? there are countries smaller than the state of virginia that have their own currency, so, why not ?

  8. I believe that the old “Silver Certificates” that predated FRNs were considered a constitutionally correct substitute for the coinage as they clearly stated on them that they could be redeemed for their value in silver (and gold before that.)

  9. “Paper money”, per se, was invented as a convenience so one didn’t have to carry around a lot of coins in their pockets. Today’s “banks” and Federal Reserve system has perverted our currency to something our forefathers never dreamed of! And in the process also nullified the constitution.

  10. There are lots of things in money. The all seeing eye. Things put there to show how much power and control they have.

  11. The owl is Molech. In our vernacular, pronounced mullah. A follower of Molech would immolate (sacrifice) their first born in fire (or modern day equivelent-abortion) so that they would be well off financially. Mollech is the “god” of easy living/no worries. It is there on purpose, like all esoteric symbols on the dollar. Its not even the worst symbol.

  12. Tony Baloney: There’s no relationship between the name “Molech (sic: it’s MOLOCH!) and mullah, a term for an Islamic religious leader. That’s just your Xtian ignorance blaring forth. One is a name, the other a term. TERM.
Muslims don’t burn their children, “Christian” DRONES DO!!

    • magyud,
You’re an idiot. The reference to “mullah” was a phonetic pronunciation aid. Tony wasn’t equating the ancient Babylonian god Molech with mullah, an Islamic cleric.
As for Muslims not burning their children: Muslims prefer to stone, behead, strap bombs around, or shoot people, children included, especially girls. Or haven’t you heard of the recent shooting of 14-y-o Malala in the head, just because she champions the education of girls.

  13. ROFLMAO!…. How ironic, it certainly looks like an abstract of Micky Mouse to me.

  14. Jct: Good news. I hope the adopt the LETS timebank model where human volunteer Hours are the base medium of exchange though doctors may command more Hours per hour.. or the Lincoln-Kucinich Greenback chips paid out in exchange for time at infrastructure repair or government service, like the Argentine Solution where provinces paid all employees with small-denomination bonds all could use to pay HTML: Hydropower, Taxes, Medical and Licenses. During the 1990s Russian Crash, 750 local and state governments issued their own time-based currencies. Study all you want, I hope you pick the the Russian-Argentine Solution of Work-based tokens.
