U.S. Marine Corporal Joshua Boston was deployed to Afghanistan from 2004 through 2005.
This is an open letter Cpl Boston wrote to Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-CA), telling her outright that he will not comply with her proposed legislation to ban “assault weapons” including handguns. The letter was published on CNN’s iReport on Dec. 27, 2012. The letter has struck a nerve with many and has gone viral.

No Ma'am

No ma’am.

Senator Dianne Feinstein,
I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government’s right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime. You ma’am have overstepped a line that is not your domain. I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one.
I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America.
I am the man who fought for my country. I am the man who learned. I am an American. You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15 because of the actions of some evil man.
I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.
We, the people, deserve better than you.
Respectfully Submitted,
Joshua Boston
Cpl, United States Marine Corps
This is what CNN iReport producer, Jareen, writes about Cpl Joshua Boston:
Although he is no longer in the military he acknowledges that he owns gun. He says he does not believe the government needs to know what guns he owns because he believes registration would lead to confiscation. He says the laws that are in place for gun control are plenty, and adding more laws will remove a means of defense for people. ‘I own the guns I own because I acknowledge mankind’s shortcomings instead of pretending like they don’t exist. There are evil men in this world and there just may be a time when I need to do the unthinkable to protect me or my family,’ he said.

  1. “There are evil men in this world and there just may be a time when I need to do the unthinkable to protect me or my family,’ he said.”
Some may be in the White House, Congress, and the Supreme Court. Feinstein is a prime example.

It baffles me that the Jews, who were disarmed, then quickly slaughtered several decades ago are the loudest and most instrumental in disarming people. Mrs. Feinstein has sold out her own just as Soros and his ilk did in the 1930s. History repeats, humanity forgets.

    • Only the self-loathing ones who’ve never been to Israel see to reasons for needing guns (attacks by Hamas, Hezbollah, etc.) first-hand.

  3. I’m with Joshua, I will simply NOT obey any new law that requires me to register my weapons, so up-yours Feinstein.

  4. If all current and retired servicemen and citizens who oppose further gun control laws sent letters to their legislators like the one above, it could make an impact.

  5. The Constitution is still in force, we the people have to stand up and demand that our elected representatives either uphold our constitutional rights or face the future being ruled by a gaggle of Hollywood celebs. Jennifer Aniston,I”m throughly disgusted in you m’am. You are a traitor to the USA and the Constitution, you are rich enough and blessed enough to have learned the difference between right and wrong. The same goes for all the other celebs who took part in the ad. for more gun control. Come on Christian soldiers, we’re on the battlefield, the LORD is at our side, and on our side, of whom shall we be afraid.

  6. Thank you Dr. Eowyn, Miss May and BizPac Review for this wonderful post. His letter says it all so well!

Question: how do authorities know who has guns?

  10. Let the punishment fit the crime. I truly wonder whether these Anti-Constitutional Conspirators would be as reckless with what the Founding Fathers, and God have bequeathed us, if they knew, that one day, they would be the ‘honored’ guests of Vlad The Impaler?!

  11. Where is Vlad, when we need him?!

  12. “You register for handguns, not long guns, or what liberal morons call “assault” rifles.”
Or what Bushmaster calls “the ultimate military combat weapons system.”
Not sure which is the more damning phrase.

    • Doesn’t matter what they call it to market it, that’s their PR at work. Military carry knives that can also be the ultimate assault weapon to kill someone..semantics and sales.
Criminals don’t care what it’s called, as long as it kills.

  13. Thanks for sharing!!! I love this Marine’s wisdom, courage, and insight!
I just wrote myself today on the Constitutional shredding proposal that has been in the media. Keep up the great work!

  14. Great comment! That Marine has it right on.God Bless him.I say thank you to him for his service and stand behind him.I have had enough of these people that are willing to take all our rights away.No more B.S,They need to move to another country!!

Feinstein’s own constituency has, in many ways, infected America with the idea of mass murders (San Ysidro,1984), the irresponsible glamorizing of evil and violence, and heinous distortions of God’s plan for His creation.
Maybe it is God’s plan to let us as a nation stumble even more. But I will not expose my family, neighbor nor countrymen to such heinous evil by giving up my only effective deterrents. As much as the 5th Commandment speaks against those who destroy life, it also demands that we honor the life/lives around us. And this I will do as an act of faith in my Lord.
