DailyMail: She’s a Hollywood icon, and has enjoyed a glittering career spanning an impressive five decades.

And after clocking up yet another appearance at the Cannes Film Festival when she dazzled  on the red carpet at the Grace of Monaco premiere on Wednesday night, Jane Fonda has opened up on her beauty secrets – joking that she is the “oldest living ambassador for skincare”.

The 76-year-old screen sire traitor is in the French Riviera in her capacity as a spokesmodel for French cosmetics company L’Oreal, and revealed that she ensures she is camera-ready at all times by getting plenty of shut-eye.

Speaking in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she said: ‘Sleep is my survival tip, it’s the hardest and most essential thing.’

The Oscar-winning actress also discussed how the Cannes Film Festival has changed since she first started attending the iconic movie event many moons ago, explaining all eyes are on “fashion and jewelry” nowadays.

“Twenty or thirty years ago I wouldn’t be here working for a company like L’Oreal, they just didn’t have that then. But it’s fun to be able to come back in that capacity.”

She joked: “I’m the oldest living ambassador for skincare in the world and in history!”

Sleep is her secret? Please, spare me your lies. Fonda has had plastic surgery:

“It was a hard decision to make, and I decided if I’m going to do it, I’m going to tell the truth,” Fonda said. “I’m writing a book about aging, so I can’t write that book and not say I’ve had plastic surgery. And you know, I just decided it was for me — I don’t want to have bags under my eyes that make me look tired, and so forth and so on.” On her blog, she admitted to having some work done on her chin and neck. “I’m careful about how I eat. I stay active. I walk a lot. I have good genes — and money“.

L’Oreal must be so proud to have a traitor and a liar represent them.

  1. Reblogged this on Ace News Services 2014 and commented:

  2. Wow, they look about 110 and they are hugh.

  3. The guy behind her is gazing upon her withered shanks and wondering, “Where did Barbarella go?” Those shriveled pears look like they belong to Boris Karloff in “The Mummy.”

Get enough sleep? Someone should put her to sleep

  4. Despite all the many plastic surgeries on her face — multiple face lifts, botox, and the latest injections — as DCG points out, her hands don’t lie. And those hands are like stage props from a movie about the undead rising from a crypt. Jane Fonda now resembles more a dessicated mummy than a breathing living person. And yet L’Oreal has hired her to be their “spokesmodel.” (I won’t be buying L’Oreal.)

    God help us.

P.S. Let us not forget her own admission (in one of her many memoirs) that she was (probably still is) bulimic and once had a rib removed — for a smaller waist.

  5. Doc,
If you are seeking some fab makeup check these people out Besame cosmetics. Their mascara….only 7 ingredients!

  6. Not surprising that the cheese-eating surrender monkeys would choose a “hero” of the Vietnam War who visited north Vietnam illegally and posed on an anti-aircraft gun for propaganda photos and broadcast surrender messages to our troops on Radio Hanoi and personally betrayed a small group of POWs who asked her to smuggle messages to their families. Their punishment was to be tortured to death. Her punishment was to live to be a shriveled old hag who can only buy sex.

  7. I don’t know how others see her, but she doesn’t really look well to me. And I find her remarks about having a lot of money distasteful, to say the least. It’s too bad she doesn’t have the class and character of Katherine Hepburn.

  8. Her brain has been asleep for a long time. It’s not a beauty sleep, either!

  9. She has left a trail of dead Americans!

  10. Won’t it be wonderful when Hollyweird plastic surgeons can make the neck, hands etc. match the tightly pulled faces. Right now they look like people with other people’s body parts, the talon looking old hands, the Shar-Pei looking neck skin…… What a waste , spending all that money on trying to keep a body that will turn to dust from aging.

Most of us want to look younger always. So they may go for plastic surgeries such as face lift, eyelid surgery etc. I think it is good if there is something that can help us get our youthful look back. There might have surgeries that went bad but if you select a good surgeon, he will select the most suited one for you. Nowadays eyelid surgeries ( ) are requested by many people.
