This is what Chiraq looks like under Mayor Lightfoot’s watch: ARMED 10-year-old kids committing carjackings

Chiraq had a mass shooting last night: 14 shot during ambush near funeral home in Chicago, many in critical condition. According to the mayor, “too many guns are on our streets and in the hands of people who should never possess them.”

Meanwhile, Mayor Lori Lightfoot continues to fight for the safety of her citizens President Trump on Twitter. Her city has become so dangerous that people are afraid to leave their houses for fear of being shot or the victim of a carjacking by ARMED 10-year-old CHILDREN.

As MyFoxChicago reports (Originally from Chicago Sun Times, 7/20/20, 6:08 CDT, in Calumet Heights [South Side community area of Chicago,] Cook County, Illinois):

Chicago police say a group of children, ages 10 to 17, carjacked Alyssa Blanchard and at least 15 other people since late June — wreaking havoc on Blanchard’s generally peaceful South Side neighborhood.

“I’m scared to use my garage. I don’t feel safe in my neighborhood,” said Blanchard, an elementary school teacher at Chicago Public Schools.

Blanchard was carjacked July 14 while returning home in the early evening. As she pulled into her alley garage on South Kingston Avenue, she noticed a vehicle and three or four children come toward her. Two children armed with handguns pointed them to her head and ordered her out of her BMW, she said. One child looked as young as 11, she said.

“It was so instantaneous … I was just scared for my life. I thought, ‘this is it,’” she said.

Police published a community alert Sunday evening warning of 14 other carjackings tied to the children. According to the alert, the children are committing the carjackings at a greater frequency, with six carjackings reported just last Saturday.”

Does anyone know what the public opinion in Chicago is about Lightfoot? Does FOTM reader Jackie Puppet know?

If the 78% approval number is true, then Chicagoans deserve Lightfoot.
Has anyone looked at readers’ comments in newspapers, e.g., the Chicago Sun-Times?

DCG, this gave me a big laugh 🤣 I was one of the biggest posters at both Chicago papers when they had their boards open. The Tribune was a little more civil, and had better discussion on articles. After awhile, a few of us conservatives caught onto the fact that some of the mods would ban our posts, but not those of liberals – one mod actually ‘fessed up. We also figured out when we could get away with more controversial posts. I even figured out another prominent poster was gay & outed him, and most likely had an “in”… Read more »

Not totally OT, but yahoo (Verizon) is probably getting ready to do away with the comment sections, if you click on the link about the information why, you can take a survey and give (ha ha) valuable input whether to keep the comment section or not. Like they will anyway. It’s censorship du jour with the commies controlling the information. It’s like in the movie, “Sneakers”.

Funny thing about yahoo dumping its comments section, is that there are so-o-o-o-o-o many comments, that it’s almost impossible to keep up with, because new ones are coming in ll the time.

I’d usually post something that I would think would get me banned, but that never happened. I am banned from Brei tbart & Daily Mail for posting truth about Michael LaVaughn Robinson in an unflattering manner.

Maybe not 78%, but I bet her numbers are favorable.

You can’t go wrong underestimating the stupidity of most Chicagoans (and Illinoisans for that matter).

I’m not sure where to begin… I remember talking with an elderly black man (his son’s a Chicago cop) a few years ago when Lightfoot entered the race for Mayor – I told him she’s gonna win, basically cause she checks all the diverSHITty boxes (he didn’t doubt me, mostly cause I told him Trump’s gonna be president too). I don’t read the Letters To The Editor section too much, though I saw today’s/yesterday’s letter were more in favor of Trump that usual, for sending in the feds. There are some regular people that see through the narrative reasons for… Read more »

I hope the old adage “Give them enough rope to hang themselves” comes into play soon.

Unfortunately, I doubt that’ll happen.

I’ve had ocassion to ask people who work in Chicago what they think of the dangers. The 2 or 3 I talked to said they weren’t afraid. They said they knew what parts of the city to not be in. I agreed with them because it is similar in Boston. But these conversations came before all hell broke loose in recent years. So what they think now may be quite different.

Chicago is still quite segregated, but at the same time, it’ll be fairly easy for those from bad neighborhoods to venture into the good ones, when they decide they want to, and there’s not much of a police presence, in large part because of a mayor who can’t stand them and would do away with them if politically possible.
