Then I saw heaven opened

…and behold, a white horse!

The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True

…and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.

Revelation 19:11-16

  1. Thank you, TrailDust, for your periodic reminders that there is a Godly realm beyond this world’s vale of tears.

  2. And the companion verse:

    “Isaiah 63
1Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
2 Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?
3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.
4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.”

It is impossible to comprehend when scripture says that Christ will tread the wine press in the fury of His wrath. When you consider Whom is being spoken of with omnipotent power and unlimited fury – the enemy will be utterly overthrown.

Verses like these make me glad that I trust Christ and am not His enemy.

I needed to see your post today. Thank you.
