The Torch is On the Porch

In the turbulent 1960s, the days of the Viet Nam War,  Burn Baby Burn and the War on Poverty, there was turmoil on the education front, too.

From the  free pdf version of Charlotte Iserbyt’s Deliberate Dumbing Down of America, I came across an article, written by one of the Roosevelts,  proving the Carnegie Foundation was literally throwing kerosene on the fire of poverty and racial strife! They funded a reading curriculum that used neuro-linguistic programming to embed violent actions and rebellion in the minds of little black children in inner-city school districts!  Much like Charter Schools today, the behavioral laboratory in Palo Alto contracted to deliver primary curriculum to urban schools in  Gary, Indiana in the early 1970s.  Read this and weep. ~LTG

Actually, they’re broken. Some beyond repair or redemption to reality.

The same neuro-linguistic programming allegedly was also used by Obama in his 2008 campaign speeches to hynotize Americans to vote for him. Remember this famous line from one of his speeches?:
“a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany … and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote for Obama” – Lebanon Opera House, New Hampshire. January 7, 2008.
Of course, what begs explaining is why the same neuro-linguistic programming didn’t work on us.

I read that back in 2008 on the website on the association of American physicians (not American Psychological Assoc). I tried looking for it on the Internet; didn’t; and just couldn’t afford the time to search further. Maybe you can look for it, grannie? Thanks. 😀

Absolutely excellent post and so important! I’ve sent it to all my lists. Carnegie’s “planned economy” is the ultimate goal. Sadly the children are the experiments that suffer this garbage. Great post Grannie!
