As I wrote on March 30, Knox County, Tennessee was seeing an increase in suspected suicides during coronavirus pandemic. Mayor Glenn Jacobs was shocked and it made him wonder if they were handling this the right way.
Again: Shutting down one’s livelihood and the economic machine that drives EVERYTHING for EVERYONE has consequences. A severe economic depression is about to hit this country due to governments shutting everything down to try and “save” all of us.
Now this from Indiana:
I wonder if the bureaucrats and “experts” factored in depression, domestic abuse and financial hardship into their “flatten the curve” models and mandates?

“I wonder if the bureaucrats and “experts” factored in depression, domestic abuse and financial hardship into their “flatten the curve” models and mandates?” No need to wonder, of course they factored it in but they don’t care. To keep us ‘safe”, they give us double binds. In the 80’s it was “just say no” but “just do it”. Now it’s “stay connected, we’re all in this together” but “social distancing” to “keep people apart”. So people are going crazy. And the mental health clinics here are closed. They’re not essential, like buying a new pair of running shoes. Or designer… Read more »
I find this “stay connected” and “we’re in this together” crap soooooo insulting. They have celebrities preaching to us about #alonetogether yet THEY have done nothing but DIVIDE us because of our politics. Such freakin hypocrisy…
Yes, the faux-emo distant togetherness is truly nauseating and intelligence insulting. Here the local paper is on about weddings being canceled, virtual funerals, and an anticipated “tsunami” of foreclosures. And attendant “housing instability” – homelessness. The drug dealers must be revising their second quarter revenue projections upward. There are no soldiers in the streets, no testing, nobody is sick, nothing is happening here. This has got to be the quietest most uneventful “crisis” in human history. A virtual crisis because we are living in virtual reality. Now Slow Joe says there won’t be a convention in July. But they will… Read more »
Well, I was gonna make a snarky comment about Kane being a mayor, but it’s true so nothing more about that… He’d crush me, anyway. As a hermit, I’m enjoying this… I’m basically doing nothing differently. But judging by the numbers of deaths in even the worst areas, it’s obvious this has been a mostly-fabricated doom-and-gloom scenario setup and perpetuated by the media, gov’t, and medicine to control the masses. I still hear the fear mongers chanting the whole “there may be millions dead when it’s over” mantra… but as of today, I think there are more dead of the… Read more »
Quick numbers from This Week with George Papadopolous – 300,000+ cases now in the US; 8,500+ dead. That’s 1% of a typical year of flu cases here, but 20% of the deaths.
So it’s exactly the OPPOSITE of what we were told two months ago — that it’s MUCH more transmittable, but much less deadly than the typical flu. What’s going on? Story wrong? Poor treatment? Why are health care workers so upset about their risk when it’s nowhere near the level of a typical flu virus? Fear. The narrative.
Fear is the real contagion here. When I say 99-99.9 percent recover, that it produces mild to moderate symptoms, it’s not me saying that, I’m just repeating what THEY say. People don’t hear it, they hear The Demon Virus. And fear eradicates reason. And produces submissive compliance
Remember that the majority of C-19 deaths have been older people with underlying health issues and compromised immune function. And most have died “with” C-19 not “from” it. So if an old person in a nursing home who is at deaths door anyway “tests positive”, whatever that means because they don’t test for actual virus, their death is attributed to C-19. Most deaths from flu are old people who are sick anyway and are lying on their backs for long periods and then get pneumonia. Very very few are actually tested for flu virus. Same with C-19. The only difference… Read more »
Don’t forget the CHILDREN who have died (?) of/with C-19. That’d be the ones who are being raised on a relatively steady supply of the basic “cillin” drugs for EVERYTHING that makes them ill,and thus have NO immune systems to rely upon.
In China which has the highest number of “cases”, there were initially almost no children affected which argued against it being infectious. And there it was mostly pneumonia in adults exposed to almost unbelievable air pollution long-term. So they tested a few, found a few “C-19 positives”, whatever that means, and for their purposes stuck that label on everyone who was having trouble breathing. That got the ball rolling and champagne corks were popping at WHO, UN, CDC. Yes! As for kids and drugs, pharma has killed or maimed a whole generation and is busy on the next. You have… Read more »
I heard on the local radio station here that calls to 911 for domestic violence complaints are up a LOT since the “Stay Home Decree” has been in place. Gee-I wonder why…..
Saw a headline in our local paper on that same issue, too. This is not good as over 80% of our homicides last year were DV cases. Not good at all…
I’m beginning to wonder about Trump: he’s letting Fauci call all the shots.

Fire them both
We’ll never get rid of Dr Feces. He’s emperor-for-life
Following the anthrax scare (which originated in Israel. As did 9/11 for that matter) in 2001, the Model Emergency Health Powers Act (MEHPA) was passed. It allowed state governments to in effect impose martial law if a governor declared a public health emergency. In MA they can lock you up and confiscate your property if, for instance, you refuse a mandated vaccine. This was augmented by executive orders issued by Dubya and Hussein that effectively gives full authority to the CDC (and by extension NIAID) in the event of a ( in this case fake) pandemic. So now with C-19… Read more »
Fauci actually said there is no need to wear a mask IN THIS COUNTRY. Unlike China where they wear masks because of the terrible pollution. We don’t have that here. So he was acknowledging that the first “pandemic” cases in China were pneumonia caused by pollution, not the relatively innocuous (or imaginary) C-19. As I said, they always tell the truth but you have to read closely
Thank you, DCG. We hear almost nothing about the death rate CAUSED by our government’s over-reaction to this virus.
More bad news and very concerning for rural areas (but not surprising): “The @aafp is estimating 40% of family medicine clinics are at risk of closing by end of June, due to #COVID19. Coupled with an aging and burned out workforce, physician shortages may soon worsen significantly.”
