The meaning of the U.S. Flag ceremony

The first fold of our flag is a symbol of life.
The second fold is a symbol of our belief the eternal life.
The third fold is made in honor and remembrance of the veteran departing our ranks who gave a portion of life for the defense of our country to attain a peace throughout the world.
The fourth fold represents our weaker nature, for as American citizens trusting in God, it is to Him we turn in times of peace as well as in time of war for His divine guidance.
The fifth fold is a tribute to our country, for in the words of Stephen Decatur, “Our Country, in dealing with other countries may she always be right; but it is still our country, right or wrong.”
The sixth fold is for where our hearts lie. It is with our heart that we pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States Of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.
The seventh fold is a tribute to our Armed Forces, for it is through the Armed Forces that we protect our country and our flag against all her enemies, whether they be found within or without the boundaries of our republic.
The eighth fold is a tribute to the one who entered into the valley of the shadow of death, that we might see the light of day, and to honor mother, for whom it flies on Mother’s Day.
The ninth fold is a tribute to womanhood; for it has been through their faith, love, loyalty and devotion that the character of the men and women who have made this country great have been molded.
The tenth fold is a tribute to the father, for he, too, has given his sons and daughters for the defense of our country since they were first born.
The eleventh fold, in the eyes of a Hebrew citizen represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon, and glorifies in their eyes, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
The twelfth fold, in the eyes of a Christian citizen, represents an emblem of eternity and glorifies, in their eyes, God the Father, the Son, and Holy Ghost.
When the flag is completely folded, thirteenth fold, the stars are uppermost reminding us of our national motto, “In God We Trust”.

After the flag is completely folded and tucked in, it takes on the appearance of a cocked hat, ever reminding us of the Soldiers who served under General George Washington and the Sailors and Marines who served under Captain John Paul Jones who were followed by their comrades and shipmates in the Armed Forces of the United States, preserving for us the rights, privileges, and freedoms we enjoy today.
The next time you see a flag ceremony honoring someone who has served our country, either in the Armed Forces or in our civilian services such as the Police force or Fire Department, keep in mind all the important reasons behind each and every movement. For the flag ceremony is America’s tribute to those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for all of us.

H/t beloved Wendy, a vet.

  1. Nice to have this reminder 🙂

  2. That flag is an idol. All of the presidents bowed to that idol. All of those presidents did not represent Jesus in character. Washington is a murderer, and humans deify him. Not a single president wanted anyone to save their soul wanting to save a corruptible body that dies. We should take the money that has the images of those murderous humans on the coins, and bills, and burn, and melt them down, and then give to God what is Gods. That would be giving to the spirit of God in us giving what God made to each other judging ourselves. All in the world need to do this. There are many flags with blood on them. When we humble ourselves to love humans that hate loves to hate we will allow God into us. We need to teach including the government to do this saving their soul. Since humans worship cloth humans also bow down to clothing too. When we no longer have nakedness indecent it will humble us to make us more inclined to be in peaceful state of mind. Then the Lord of Glory will come into humans saving their soul..

    • Good grief. We honor and respect the flag because it is a SYMBOL of our country. We don’t worship the flag. Please get your brain into at least second gear.

  3. That flag is an idol. I do not see Jesus the lover of all in it. Jesus shed his blood for us. That is all the blood That needs to be spilled.
First fold;that flag is a flag of death for those under it have died in what is called human sacrifice.
Second fold; The ones doing what the humans did bowing to Baal the bull god Molech or Dagon the god of the Philistines which represent. All represent Satan the killer of souls. giving eternal death not eternal life to be vaporized in the light of the father of lights being hell to the wicked.
Third fold:;Is giving evil for evil, and giving evil for evil only has a by product of evil. Jesus says show mercy, and mercy will be given. The mercy Jesus is talking about is his light having mercy on you not being hell to your body, and soul on judgment day not vaporizing you into oblivion.
Fifth fold:;The your side, and my side will result in war because there is division. The devil who is death in all things is also in division, and hence war. The devil is being worshiped, and not God who made all at all.
Sixth fold; The heart indeed lies not worshiping God the giver of life giving death in everyday it can.
Seventh fold; Jesus says love your enemy do good to them that despitefully use you, but the USA, and word eschews the advice of the loving words of Christ being anti Christ. Matthew 5:;43Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;;read all of it. KJV.
Eighth fold; In war there is only darkness .The Lord God is the father of lights where there is no shadow of turning. Therefore war is darkness of deepest darkness killing the soul of the unrepentant killer.
James 1:17;Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Look at a battle field. There is no light or perfect gift to be seen in it.
Ninth fold; There is no love in war therefore the loyalty has been to the devil who brings death that he has wrought through men. There is no faith in it being devoted to saran being anti Christ. Christ never used a Physical sword at all.
Tenth fold; Is what loiterers do, with human sacrifices.
eleventh fold;is blasphemy for the God of Abraham Issac, and of Jacob would be appalled at what man has done to man.
Jacob wrestled with God, and won, but the military would not stand a chance of winning wrestling with the Lord God.
twelfth fold;is blasphemy as well greater than the eleventh fold. This is calling God a god of war on the level of a stone idol.
thirteenth fold; as is evidenced in the former is in Beelzebub they trust bringer of death.
Humans put God in the image of a man made thing.
All of the presidents bowed to that idol. All of those presidents did not represent Jesus in character. Washington is a murderer, and humans deify him. Not a single president wanted anyone to save their soul wanting to save a corruptible body that dies. We should take the money that has the images of those murderous humans are on the coins, and bills. Burn, and melt them down, and then give to God what is Gods. That would be giving to the spirit of God in us giving what God made to each other judging ourselves. All in the world need to do this. There are many flags with blood on them. Since humans worship cloth humans also bow down to clothing too. When we no longer have nakedness indecent it will humble us to make us more inclined to be in peaceful state of mind. Then the Lord of Glory will come into humans saving their soul..

  4. I went after every fold on a post. I did not see it posted no this web page. it is posted on my Facebook page. Humans are worshiping the devil when they worship that flag. That is not the only one. The gay, and zoosexual flag are the only two flags with no blood on them calling for war.,

  5. I think I will clear the air with an anecdote about my nephew’s retirement ceremony. He served in the USNavy and retired as a senior.chief. During his ceremony they lined up servicemen and woman for every rank up to his. They folded the flag and then very beautifully passsed the flag from the E1 up to E8 . As it passed from hand to hand music played softly and a young woman read a poem. After Steve received the flag he gave it to his mom. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house and we are all eternally grateful that his mom received it with Steve standing by her side rather than at his graveside. To make it even more poignant his son was the second in line and his son in law was about fifth. God bless our nation, our flag and all it stands for and God bless our servicemen.

  6. Thank you! The ceremony in its entirety was quite beautiful. Most of our immediate family was able to be there to share in this honor. Though my husband did not make the Navy his careeer he served honorably during the Vietnam era, as did Steve’s dad and his father in law( they are deceased). Steve acknowledged their service in his speech and Lou was quite touched . Love of country lives in our hearts.
