The mask comes off: Chick-fil-A donates to anti-Christian, pro-abort, LGBT organizations

About two weeks ago on November 18, 2019, acceding to pressure from LGBTs, Chick-fil-A announced they will no-longer be making donations to Christian groups, such as The Fellowship of Christian Athletes and The Salvation Army.

See Dave’s post “Chick-fil-A Stabs Supporters Squarely in the Back

In explaining Chick-fil-A’s funding decisions, Rodney Bullard, VP of Corporate Responsibility and Executive Director of the Chick-fil-A Foundation said future donations would go to charities in support of education, the homeless and ending hunger because “We don’t want our intent and our work to be encumbered by someone else’s politics or cultural war. If something gets in the way of our mission, that is something that we are mindful of and cognizant of.”

But Salvation Army points out in a press release that it makes no sense for Chick-fil-A to divert funding from the Salvation Army (SA) to hunger, education and homeless organizations because the SA does all three on a massive scale, except the SA doesn’t espouse an LGBT ideology.

Now comes news that Chick-fil-A is sending a $2,500 donation to the anti-Christian and far-left Southern Poverty Law Center and with that, the transmorgrification of Chick-fil-A into an enemy of Christians and of the Right is complete.

Cal Thomas reports for LifeNews.com, Dec. 3, 2019, that conservatives and evangelical Christians had regarded Chick-fil-A as a model company because its founder, the late S. Truett Cathy, ordered that his restaurants be closed on Sundays to allow employees to attend church and spend time with their families. Chick-fil-A also donated to charities that supported the definition of marriage as between a man and a woman, which enraged the Left. LGBT activists declared a boycott of the restaurants which was countered by supporters of Chick-fil-A who showed up en masse to dine in the restaurant chain.

Without any noticeable new pressure, Chick-fil-A suddenly announced it would no longer be donating to Christian charities like The Salvation Army, an organization not known for political activism. Then the restaurant chain announced it is sending a $2,500 donation to the Southern Poverty Law Center, a left-wing organization that lists some Christian ministries as “hate groups,” including the pro-life Family Research Council (FRC).

FRC President Tony Perkins is calling on conservatives to seek a fast-food alternative because “Not only has Chick-fil-A abandoned donations to Christian groups, including the Salvation Army, it has donated to one of the most extreme anti-Christian groups in America” — the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

It turns out the SPLC isn’t the only left-wing organization to which Chick-fil-A donates.

A Nov. 26, 2019 report by Ryan Bromberger for LifeNews.com lists these other recipients of Chick-fil-A’s largesse:

  1. YWCA, the deeply political, radically pro-abortion and pro-LGBTQ organization that repeatedly partners with Planned Parenthood.
  2. The DC-based New Leadership Council that describes itself as a “hub of progressive millennial thought leadership” to “support one another along their individual path to a more progressive political and cultural landscape.”
  3. Chick-fil-A donated $50,000 to The Pace Center for Girls, a pro-abort education and advocacy group that featured feminist Gloria Steinem as their keynote speaker for their most recent girls’ Summit.
  4. In 2017, Chick-fil-A donated $38,700 to Usher’s New Look, R&B star Usher Raymond IV’s liberal non-profit that hosted a Disruptivator Summit on organizing the Left for pivotal social issues.
  5. Chick-fil-A gave $27,500 in 2017 and $25,000 in 2019 to Chris 180, a pro-LGBT behavioral health and child welfare service agency that received an award from the the Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC) — the multi-million dollar LGBT powerhouse that recently pushed for the legalization of prostitution in DC.
  6. Chick-fil-A donates hundreds of thousands a year to Junior Achievement, which in 2016, joined a coalition (Georgia Prospers) of pro-LGBT businesses in a campaign (“Too Busy to Hate”) to politically oppose the religious liberty First Amendment Defense Act from passing in Georgia.

These groups, and many more funded by Chick-fil-A, are clearly political and liberal. So much for “not being encumbered by someone else’s politics or cultural war.”

I can’t wait to hear how badly Chick’s business drops as a result of stabbing Patriots in the back.

While this turn by Chick-Fil-A is disturbing, am I the only one who thought that the closed on Sunday thing was phony? People have to eat on Sunday, and restaurants–operated by Christians and otherwise–have always been open on Sunday.

What would have made sense would have been to give objecting employees the option of working on Sundays or not.

Rather than digging in on the conventional marriage position, they backed off–in search of Moloch, which of course betrays the hypocrisy.

Get woke, go broke. Funny that even their staunchest “Christian” defenders have finally disappeared.

CFA isn’t the only restaurant closed on Sundays. In my small town in OK there are at least three restaurants that are closed: CFA, Wayne’s (drive-in restaurant) and another whose name escapes me right now).

That may be, but food preparation has always been excluded from Sabbath/festival prohibitions. CFA founder could have easily kept his company Christian with a proper trust/legacy–only he failed to do this.

SO…considering how much of a big deal this *supposedly* was to Mr. Cathy, and with all of his high-priced lawyers, why was this legacy not preserved?

No, restaurants have not ALWAYS been open on Sunday. I can remember as a kid growing up in the early 1960s that just about EVERY business was closed on Sundays.

When I was a kid, you could only buy gas on a Sunday at a truck stop.

It always did seem a little insincere and a lot pandering, especially since everyone knows that if you plan to eat out for Sunday lunch, you’d better get there before the church crowd shows up, or wait until about 1:00. The greater sham here, though, is that Chick-Fil-A is more political pawn than restaurant. Their food is mediocre at best and way over-priced. Long lines and packed dining rooms in the recent past were primarily the expression of political activism by simpleton Christians who somehow believe that impeccable grooming, nice clothes, and paying a tythe will get them into Heaven.… Read more »

satan has lots of followers in our world, and since the owner of C/F has died, we now see the same result that happened when andrew breitbart died,, his news site is now compromised by satan’s workers, and they peddle the enemy’s bile. trump is so important to our survival, as are guns. MAGA

Chik-Fil-A has betrayed all of the young college students and faithful patrons who have chosen to work and dine at these restaurants due to their once upholding Christian beliefs.

Watch a MAJOR MIGRATION to Popeye’s Chichken for a REALLY GOOD Chicken sandwich.

Abortion, Southern Poverty Perverts, and homosexual transgenders?
I used to call the place Christian Chicken, but now I’ll call them Evil Chicken.
I’m going to BOYCOTT them for life now.
I’ll never step foot in the place again.
Goodbye Evil Chicken.

You’ll still eat it, just like you eat middle eastern food made by slave owning, suicide bombing, women beating muslims.

Support ideals or not, you’ll be called a bigot either way. All the left wants is blood.

Does this feel like their customers are being “Gilletted” ? Where do these companies get these marketing gurus who turn on their clientele and then wonder why their market share drops precipitously… I have as of late stopped justifying their overpriced sandwiches due to their new stand on their professed values. I wonder how others doing the same thing will affect their bottom line. They have found other options for their philanthropy and I have found other options for a chicken sandwich.

Before the flap a few years ago over traditional marriage, I’d never been to a CFA. After the flap, I went to support CFA for upholding traditional marriage and other traditional marriage. I continued going because their food was good, and also to support SOMEONE showing sanity in an increasingly insane world!

Now that they’ve done this, I’m done with CFA. What difference is there between them or McD’s or anyone else? I had my last breakfast at CFA 2-3 weeks ago

Why, CFA changing sides would be like Disney pursuing non family friendly entertainment. Unthinkable. Oh, wait…

Disappointing that a company must adhere strictly to your beliefs in order for you to do business with them. That puts you in the same category as those who first protested Dan Cathy offering his view of marriage.

I stopped supporting them because they stabbed me and others in the back. I don’t appreciate that! I’ll still go to McD’s and other places, but they don’t pretend to be something that they’re not.

Suggest we get in the drive through line and turn off our cars. Next they will open on Sunday and have Drag Queen stories for the kids while Planned Parenthood performs abortions. I’m looking forward to seeing the Queer Filet and the Transgender Tenders appearing on their menu.

Chick-fil-A is a quality company that has become the target of liberal hate groups (possibly a redundant phrase) intent on destroying it because the family/owners are professing Christians. Dan Cathy never said he thought laws should be implemented against same-sex couples getting married. He simply stated that his definition of marriage is the Biblical standard of one man-one woman. He never tried to hinder anyone’s constitutional rights. It has been the liberals who want to take away Dan’s/Chick-fil-A’s rights. Unfortunately, it seems that corporate management has given in to the pressure and, as always happens, that move has backfired on… Read more »

Being agnostic, I was willing to give appropriate ‘consideration’ to CFA’s decision to stop making donations to Christian groups. However, making donations to SLPC has nipped any and all of those considerations in the bud. Shooting yourself in the foot is bad enough, but to unload a full magazine into both feet is inexcusably daft.

I honestly hope and pray that Christians and Patriots rise up in united rejection of this company and they they will feel it very deeply, that we don’t like traitors.

Still the best chicken sandwich around. Who they give to is their business. Who cares?

I care when ANY person or business gives to the anti-Christian SPCL. That organization is FILLED WITH HATE for anything white, Christian, conservative and is anti-American, IMO.

Haven’t spent a penny in one of their stores since this story broke, and don’t plan to ever again.

I don’t appreciate being stabbed in the back by a company I have long supported.

If you want to donate to any charity, why not do it yourself? If a business donates to any charity it risks alienating customers. The only reason for a business “donation” is advertising. Don’t react, they’ll stop. Then the profits will be taxed and the residue distributed to owners/stockholders who can donate in private without hurting the brand. Matthew 6:1-4.

Rodney Bullard is an unabashed Obama & Hillary supporter, so either CfA didn’t do their homework on him, or just didn’t care.

CfA is the latest company to forsake its base in pursuit of the dollars of 2-3% of the population.

CfA doesn’t realize that they can buy all the good PR toward the GBTL community, and it won’t matter – they hate CfA with a passion!

Heard that the Salvation Army is a Rothschild secret set up organization, the red shield of the Salvation Army is the clue apparently- Rothschild means “red shield”.
Me, when I can afford to eat out, I go to Chipotle or Arby’s.
