Per the Huffington Post:
Big business has come out in favor of same-sex marriage.
Exactly 379 corporations and employer organizations urged the Supreme Court to strike down state bans on gay marriage, according to a friend-of-the-court brief obtained by The Huffington Post. The document was expected to be filed late Thursday morning.
“Employers are better served by a uniform marriage rule that gives equal dignity to employee relationships,” reads the brief, filed by global law firm Morgan Lewis. “Allowing same-sex couples to marry improves employee morale and productivity, reduces uncertainty, and removes the wasteful administrative burdens imposed by the current disparity of state law treatment.”
The list, provided in full below, includes corporate behemoths such as Coca-Cola Company, Goldman Sachs, Google and Morgan Stanley. It also includes brands like Ben & Jerry’s, a division of Unilever, and sports teams such as the New England Patriots, the San Francisco Giants and the Tampa Bay Rays.

Companies with an asterisk listed after the name are represented by WG+R Law Group, a California-based law firm, rather than the Washington, D.C.-based Morgan Lewis.
I see my lamo bank (J P Morgan Chase) is on there. To see how many businesses promote this is disheartening. Then when we see the football teams (or whatever, I guess they are football) support; the question comes to mind–how long would normal people follow these teams if they integrate their cheerleaders with “transvestites” or gay men cheerleaders. I dare say we would see their followings plummet. This just gives me one big, fat headache! (Seriously, I’m going to go into the kitchen and take some Aleve.) Mike, thanks again for pulling together and presenting such vital information for… Read more »
Find a local credit union, banks are NOT your friend.
I suppose we could explain this as being a business decision, not a personal choice. That’s probably true in many cases, and as can see, personal values have virtually NO standing in Big Business. VERY sad. That’s one reason I try very hard to support businesses whose owners are willing to stand on Principle even if it cuts into the profit. (I also notice business owners like this are more likely to help Veterans,Elderly,Handicapped and Impoverished people,on an individual basis, than, say, “Big Box Store managers.)
“removes the wasteful administrative burdens imposed by the current disparity of state law treatment.” Since when does anything having to do with state (notice he didn’t include federal) laws reduce administrative burdens? Just another spin.
Another nail in America’s coffin…Our Lord God is watching!
“The wicked strut about on every side when vileness is exalted among the sons of men.” (Psalms 12.8.)
Mike , I’m sorry to say , but I find the word “Homo” offensive
It’s a divisive term and as such it will only give people ammunition against us. Sorry, but times change and so do words.
The word “homosexual” is also offensive. “Gay lifestyle” is also offensive. And even “special rights” is offensive. They seem to have a very defined list of what they deem offensive and what is preferred.
https://www.glaad.org/reference/offensive
So how come “bi” (for bisexual) isn’t offensive?
Remember the goal is to change the language: https://fellowshipoftheminds.com/2015/01/17/gun-controllers-change-tactics-to-mimic-those-of-homosexual-movement/
Control the language, control the debate.
They deem anything that disagrees with them as “offensive”– how mighty liberal and “tolerant” of them.
DCG; why don’t we refer to them by the city’s name for which they are mentioned in the Bible? Sodomites. That’s what they are. They practice sodomy. That’s their favorite ‘sport’. Why then would they object to being called by a name that is descriptive of the (disgusting) acts by which they have gained their fame! They certainly are not ‘gay’! Most end up having miserable lives…And ‘gay’ has always been a nice word; depicting happy, cheery, lighthearted, joyous lively, sprightly, blithe.
That is offensive to them as well. Basically any word they deem inappropriate for furthering their agenda is offensive, even if it’s the correct term. And you can’t describe them by what they do in the bedroom, even though they want special rights because the whole of their existence is based on who they like to sleep with.
I agree! Everything and everyone that does not just ‘go along to get along’ with their despicable and disgusting agenda is offensive to them. I for one, will never cater to any of their wishes (no, what they are seeking are not merely wishes, but demands, and approval). They will get neither from me. Being a Christian; and knowing exactly what the Word of God says about them and their behavior; I will not ever condone, to any extent, their sinful proclivities. (Romans1.24; 26; & 28.) are quite fascinating. This is where (and how) a Holy God judges these non-repentant… Read more »
elihew, Now for some reason I have no problem with that term. Call them what they are. I did not mean to get all PC here and cause a snit. It’s a matter of watching our flank.
Homosexual, or sodomite is fine to me. Kinda like we outgrew “Colored” see what I’m saying.
GAY means “Good as You” and it’s the ruination of a once lovely word. I even have a friend from H.S. whose first name (a man) was Gay. What a tragedy to even destroy the language. Disgusting
Great point! Let’s see if anyone else notices that gays haven’t targeted the cheerleading field. Omgosh, I almost hope they would, just to see if there would be mob exits from teams that support them, and move to teams that don’t. Although through the bullying that gays have perfected it’s probably safe to say that most, if not all would succumb to their bullying.
Offensive to whom? Since when have you gone all PC? And what happened to FOTM’s 11th commandment — thou shall not publicly criticize a fellow FOTM writer — about which you are particularly insistent?
Eowyn, I and Mike I apologize. I should have finished my thought. I just meant it does us no good giving them ammo to use against us.
They are “Sodomites”
Working my way back up the board.
Mike, I apologize for not finishing my thought. First it should not have been left on board. But what I mean is when using that term, it makes us “Right or wrong ” look like ‘Homophobes” We don’t need to give them any help. As Said below how about what they really are “Sodomites” I like that one.
I really am sorry.
I broke rule 11.
Steve,
Do you really think they won’t use “sodomites” against us as well?
Eowyn, as you pointed out I broke 11. I’ve since sent email to apologize.
You and I both know we are not here to be PC. As DCG points out they won’t be happy with anything. So In my opinion “Homo” is a bit inflammatory. So either the full “Homosexual” Or call em as we see em
“Sodomites” Good enough for God, I guess good enough for us.
I’m not here to cater to The Gay police.
Please advice on your thoughts.. 🙂
Steve, It really doesn’t matter what word the Left find to be “inflammatory” because as Blacks have shown, it’s all arbitrary. First, the PC Police found “negroes” offensive (but blacks can call each other “niggas” and it’s OK); then it’s “colored people” (but “people of color” is OK); then it’s …. So now the PC mandatory word is “African-American,” but tomorrow it’ll be another word. The same with sodomites. They decided that “homo,” “homosexual” and “queer” are all “offensive,” but strangely, they call each other “queer.” Just you wait: Once the word “sodomites” gain currency, they’ll pounce on that as… Read more »
Eowyn, I’m not looking to please them at all. C’mon how long have you known me. LOL
In fact I think “Sodomite” which God favors is about in their face as you can get. Which one you think I like. LOL
I mean it’s written down in Black and White. Case closed!
“Eowyn, I’m not looking to please them at all.”
And yet you wrote “I find the word ‘Homo’ offensive It’s a divisive term and as such it will only give people ammunition against us.”
I will no longer continue this. You may have the time, but I don’t.
The court’s job is to rule on the constitutionality of laws. If they were doing their job, no amount of pushing from outside forces would have any bearing at all.
All those politically-correct corporate boards whose members thinks this’ll make them favored cronies… suckers, unless your name is Buffett or Soros, progressives won’t even remember you.
Did anyone notice Miller/Coors? Let me tell you a little story. Some 20 odd years ago, Focus on the Family’s James Dobson was railing about United Air Lines allowing same sex insurance in their company. However, right in his own backyard was Coors who had been doing the same thing for years. But the Coors brothers, and Holly Coors were all members along with Dobson of the secretive Council for National Policy, so hypocritical Dobson didn’t bother to mention Coors. How did I know this? Because I visited some friends in Denver at the time, and the husband worked for… Read more »
Man , this would be a hell of a job boycotting all these companies
I work for one of the listed companies right now. Sigh.
My condolences . Looked for mine , it is not up thee , whew !
I was ok until I reached the end of the letter C, since I get my scripts and basics at CVS. I used to take up a position in a prime picture taking angle of Boston’s annual gay pride parade. I had a website and 2 blogs for 20 year and every year I wrote a rather long annual entry with pics The Annual “Pride Goeth Before Destruction” gay pride parade entry. Each year more and more of the parade was taken up by corporate sponsors, politicians trolling for votes, liberal churches of every sort looking for pew warmers to… Read more »
What is even worse about this is the fact it will be remarkably difficult for any person to boycott or otherwise not support these vile corporations since they have tentacles and sub-groups in so many areas. This is why corporations should not be considered “people”, because they’ll do things like this and call it “free speech”. even though it is obvious a propaganda campaign with social and political aims.
What ever happened to that campaign to end corporate personhood, I wonder?
“For all that is secret will eventually be brought into the open, and everything that is concealed will be brought to light and made known to all.” Luke 8:17 I want to see these “brave” corporations take a step back and let the CEOs come forward to proclaim their support for sodomites to have marriage rights as heterosexuals. Equal rights for groups that are inherently/biologically unequal…makes a lot of sense. These CEOs are cowards and they hide behind their corporations pushing their evil agendas from their position of authority…..all with anonymity and apparent impunity from attacking Christians. We attach disdain… Read more »
