Tempe Police officers asked to leave Starbucks due to triggered snowflake

From NY Post: Starbucks has apologized for the “completely unacceptable” way staff booted six cops from an Arizona store after a customer complained about feeling unsafe around them.

The java giant faced a huge backlash over the actions of staff in Tempe on July 4 — and now the chain has written to the Tempe Police Department to “sincerely apologize.”

“When those officers entered the store and a customer raised a concern over their presence, they should have been welcomed and treated with dignity and the utmost respect by our partners (employees),” wrote Rossann Williams, the chain’s executive vice president for US retail.

“Instead, they were made to feel unwelcome and disrespected, which is completely unacceptable.”

Williams insisted Starbucks has a “deep appreciation” for police, saying, “Our partners rely on your service and welcome your presence, which keeps our stores and the community a safe and welcoming place.”

Williams added, “What occurred in our store on July 4 is never the experience your officers or any customer should have, and at Starbucks, we are already taking the necessary steps to ensure this doesn’t happen again in the future.”

If I were a police chief I’d suggest that no one on my force patronize starbucks. There are other places to get coffee and pastries.
I hope an idea like this goes viral.
Up yours starbucks. Who’s the phobic one now?

I caught this on the news yesterday… what a world.

“…at Starbucks, we are already taking the necessary steps to ensure this doesn’t happen again in the future.”

And that CERTAINLY includes FIRING the employees and manager involved right??? And a FULL-PAGE apology in the local hedonist paper?

Yeah, I thought not.

Still trying to figure out why the cops left and didn’t just sit there laughing. Or why the complainant felt uneasy with their presence. Guilty much?

I wonder how “uneasy” they feel with homeless junkies peeing all over the restrooms? I’ve already “boycotted” Starbuck’s for YEARS. I’ve seen enough yuppies in my life already. I think boycotting them is a fine idea, although anyone who actually enjoys the atmosphere or the coffee is unlikely to be so moved by this story. They allow smelly transients to come and go as they please but they feel “uneasy” with the police? I would be tempted to drop off every transient I ran across and ask them to bring their needles with them. People like that employee should move… Read more »

The necessary steps to take are to invite the police officers for coffee, have the employee serve the officers, offer an apology and boot out the employee in front of the officers.

That store just declared itself easy pickings for anybody who wants a quick cash grab or 5-fingered discount.

The store surely can’t call Ghostbusters. Maybe they can hire the customer who felt unsafe, as a security guard!

Maybe they can find a fudge packer from Antifa armed with a milkshake.

I think Starbucks needs to be patronized by every shitpants wino and nasty crackhead the Police can drop off there. That would improve the place. My PHD brother in law with no job and &$250K in student loans loves Starbucks…. He would have his widdle feewings hurt by the nasty old Police too…

Is his Ph.D. in some useless, left-infested major like English Lit or Sociology?

A Ph.D. in Political Science is really a university-level teaching-&-research degree. What did bro-in-law do with his degree?

Nothing… He will only look for work in his narrow little slice of the pie. I just shake my head when it concerns him. I think the degree is printed on something not even fit to wipe your ass with

Over priced, over estimated, overly bitter, the coffee that turned French Roast into a hated legend. If I had been that manager, I would have told the SJW to leave the coffee shop.
