I originally posted the op-ed below back in May, and after watching the above video it just reinforces what I believe it will take to bring Obama down in 2012. Now I don’t readily endorse Perry to be the Republican nominee, I have heard others say he is a RINO and political opportunist, and as such, a great speech does not make a man a great president (see Obama).
I do agree with what Perry said about not apologizing for our conservative principles, he is right, we should never backdown from them and we should realize that the left is never going to agree with us, is never going to work with us and is never going to capitulate as long as they have and ounce of power. I absolutely detest the word “Bipartisanship” when it refers to the political process in this country because nearly 99% of the time it means Conservatives/Republicans must cave in to Liberals/Democrats even if Republicans are the party in power.
While anything and everything to do with the liberal agenda makes me physically ill and at the same time fills me with rage, I have to give them credit, when they are in charge they make the rules, they stick together and get their agenda passed. What I cannot understand is that when Republicans take the mantle, some of them become wishy-washy and their spines turn to jelly, and they tend to side with the opposition, which has been displayed time and time again.
It is long past time for Conservatives to take the reins, make the rules and get this country back on the road to economic recovery, fiscal sanity and morality. Let the free market prevail over government control, restore the teeth to our foreign policy( put the fear of us back in our enemies) and first and foremost kill and bury obamacare once and for all.
Right now Obama is ripe for a landslide defeat in 2012, his poll numbers are heading for the basement and his record of purposeful incompetence in the areas of the economy, domestic and foreign policy has left a trail of ruin in our country. Whomever the Republican nominee is that takes on Obama in 2012 they should heed these words:
If you’re afraid of the future, then get out of the way, stand aside. The people of this country are ready to move again.
We ARE ready to move again, move forward, leaving the stench of liberalism far behind us, never to let it rear its ugly head again.
Our Candidates Don’t Have to be Perfect, Just Conservative.
As the field of candidates for the GOP nomination starts to take shape for the 2012 election, I think we all should consider the standards we need to set for these men and women seeking the nod to go against Obama in 2012.
- First and foremost, they must be Conservative, RINO’s need not apply.
- Have a backbone, we are getting tired of jelly spined candidates(McCain) who roll over for liberals.
- Stand by your principles and your words, don’t apologize for taking a stand against the status quo.
- Use Obama’s record against him at every turn, keep him tired and on the ropes throughout the campaign.
- Don’t let the liberal media select our candidate, we can’t afford another wishy-washy, namby-pamby RINO.
- When you debate Obama, nothing is off-limits, verbally pound him mercilessly.
Above all we can never appear weak, the country’s yearning for a real leader, something we really haven’t had since Reagan. I’m not saying you have to be another Reagan, just be STRONG, PATRIOTIC, NO-NONSENSE AND DON’T BACKDOWN FROM ANY CHALLENGE. TAKE THE FIGHT TO THE LIBERALS AND DEFEAT THEM!!!
