P.S. I found this a really easy test. Regular readers of FOTM should all ace the test. (I scored 25/25 correct.)

  1. 24 out of 25. I missed the American Indian Tribe one 🙂

  2. I got 25 out of 25.
The question about the present President’s political party was a let down: they didn’t have “Marxist-Islamist-Homosexualist”, so I picked “Democrat”.

  3. Aced it. I thought it was too easy, but apparently Obama is going to create an online system to tutor permanent residents, to make it even easier for them to pass and become citizens by election day, 2016.
I was flummoxed for a while on #22 because they didn’t have “communist” listed as an answer for Obama’s political party.

    • Ha, ha! I was typing my response and when I posted it, then up popped Tim’s response about Obama’s political party. His is way funnier than mine.

  4. On a more serious note:
“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting an inexperienced man like him with the presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”
–From the newspaper Prager Zeitung, Czech Republic, April 28, 2010

  5. I got all 25, but I answered “to” the test.
My honest answers would be somewhat different.
    4. Bend over, and…
    12. Obviously the Financial branch is the most powerful, largely because it is not as formal.
    13. The answer is really “Nothing.”
    14. Provide?…or Require? And why/how?
    18. Considering that we fulfill the ten planks of the Communist manifesto to the T, this one is big-time open for argument!
    19. Since Mexico once covered the states indicated, and since that countries .population is migrating, this answer is also migrating. Did you know that the U.S. is the fifth largest Spanish speaking country in the world…and moving up.
your mileage may vary…opinions are like…etc.

  6. 24/25. I must say in my defense, tho, I went thru the test a bit hurriedly! 😉

  7. 24/25. My husband and I both missed #7. We were thinking about that question in the wrong way.

  8. 24/25….accidentally left one unanswered…duh!

  9. 25/25

  10. I missed two. The one about who takers over if the alleged president and Shotgun Joe both can’t do their jobs, and the last day for doing your taxes-I guess that’s not TOO bad.

  11. I ran the table, yay for me. I wonder how many current high school or college students could pass this or members of congress?

  12. 25/25…but I worry about our future…we’ve become a C+ (19.8/25) nation…and I wonder if there is a way to recover void of bloodshed; History is riddled with atrocities created by lesser problems than we now face. I believe our only Savior is Jesus Christ! I guess that’s a good thing. Godspeed!

  13. As a 25 year permanent resident, I was very disappointed in my score; 22/25 missed 7, 11, 15. For question 11,I responded with Secretary of Defense. Just couldn’t bring myself to answer Speaker of the House. President Boenner. God help us all.

  14. 19.81% I missed the one about the Senators … I never was good at math! I forgot 2 X 50 is 100

  15. 19 out of 25, with one intentionally “wrong” because the answer to 18 is clearly communist/plutocratic. As far as the rest goes, I call malarkey on #12, financial is technically a branch (and the one that bosses the others around no less), what other category could the treasury, “federal reserve”, & IRStasi possibly fall under? Also clearly #13 has no correct answer at this point, because the correct answer must be “nothing” because the checks and balances supposedly instituted have been defeated and compromised for a long time now.
However, all things considered the test is rather dumb, identifying tribes is not something relevant to citizenship (How about being able to name all 50 states instead?), and number of senators is trivial information (I would suggest a question about the national bird, perhaps the originally suggested bird, if this is to be the case).

  16. I answered in theory not practice and got 25/25. However one of the “correct” answers is technically wrong. The last day to send in your tax return IF you are an individual (not a trust, corporation, partnership, blah blah) is October 15th as long as you have filed a valid extension. (Sorry; tax accountant by trade.)
Plenty of the questions were unanswerable correctly in the current system. Others were just silly in terms of what is needful to be an informed citizen.

  17. 24/25…..gotta learn to read All the choices first!

  18. Looks like I did the worst of all of you, at 22/25, but I still passed!!!

  19. Managed to get 24 out of 25, only because I didn’t think about what question #7 was asking.
