Whites beg forgiveness for their ‘privilege’ with new hashtag; man drops girlfriend ’cause she’s white

Idi Amin, the late dictator of Uganda who was said to be a cannibal, once mocked British imperialism by having four Britons carry him on a makeshift throne when he made himself President-for-Life. He called himself the “white man’s burden”. (The Telegraph)

Here’s a contemporary version of white man’s burden.

Carmine Sabia reports for The Federalist Papers that “social justice warriors” filled with white guilt have created the Twitter hashtag #MyWhitePrivilege to apologize for being white.

Below is a sample of apologetic #MyWhitePrivilege tweets:

#MyWhitePrivilege means most of my interactions with law enforcement are positive. I was was [sic] once pulled over for expired registration and the cop told me just to go get it renewed and send him proof that I did.” — Catherine Griwkowsky (@CGriwkowsky) March 30, 2019

#MyWhitePrivilege allows Francis Scott Key who said ‘Africans in America are a distinct and INFERIOR race’ to write the national anthem and the song is played everywhere and demand everyone to stand. Whereas if you kneel due to injustices as black people you will be shamed. pic.twitter.com/oQDOal0hzF” — Macadon (@Macadon_YT) March 30, 2019

“Idont [sic] get scared for my life everytime I get pulled over. I dont [sic] have to worry about something in my pocket getting mistaken for a gun. I have all my doctors believe me about my pain. I have been given a leg up in life for the color of my skin #MyWhitePrivilege” — kayla cox (@kaylaccox) March 30, 2019

#MyWhitePrivilege is that I am given the benefit of the doubt in a way my black sisters are not. Even when I am angry, I’m seen as cute and non-threatening. Sure there is a healthy dose of sexism in this, but it is a privilege to be considered non-threatening.” — Erika (@thatsdoctor2you) March 30, 2019

“I’m autistic. This guy assaulted me for hand flapping. He called it “an aggressive gesture”. I assaulted right back. I wasn’t shot. #MyWhitePrivilege pic.twitter.com/UcTa8iWE55” — Randy Germain (@ElBrutoBastardo) March 30, 2019

“When you’re born with privilege, equality can feel like oppression. To everybody complaining about the hashtag, read other peoples experiences and learn something instead of always trying to start a fight. #MyWhitePrivilege” — Bobbie Dodds (@BobbieDodds) March 30, 2019

Christopher Rivas, a Latino who calls himself a storyteller and actor, actually broke up with his girlfriend because she is white.

Rivas wrote in his op/ed, “I Broke Up With Her Because She’s White,” New York Times, March 29, 2019:

O.K., let me just get to it. I think I broke up with my last girlfriend because she’s white. Actually, no, I definitely broke up with her because she’s white….

It’s been a year since I broke up with my girlfriend, and I haven’t told her the real reason. I talked around it, mumbling about how I was trying to figure out who I was or whatever. She didn’t understand. I’m not sure I do either. There was nothing wrong with her at all.

I don’t really know what my tipping point was. It just kind of happened. At 30, I woke up one day, took a deep breath, looked at her and thought, “I don’t think I can date white women anymore.”

Maybe I wouldn’t have broken up with her if it hadn’t been for all the judgment coming my way. Over the years I have dated brown women and black women, but mostly white women. I hadn’t thought about why that was, but when some brown and black people in my community started giving me a hard time about dating white women, I sensed they’d be happier if I stopped….

But the real reason I think I can no longer date white women isn’t any of that. It’s because in today’s hashtag-woke society, there is mad pressure to be hashtag-woke. To be aware of the implications of whom you’re attracted to and why. Which means that in the eyes of others, the color of the women I date is a big deal. Like I’m the problem. Like I’m betraying my people if I date white women.

But I was taught that we were all one people!

I see people watching me with a stink eye, noses turned up, as if they think black and brown people would somehow be better off if I dumped my white girlfriend. It’s a lot of pressure. Along with each watchful eye, the whispers of, “Pick a side, Chris, pick a side,” fill my already noisy mind….

How did we get here? If everyone is so woke, why are things so terrible? Maybe everyone isn’t so woke. Anyway, what am I supposed to do? How do I love as a brown body in the world in a way that makes everybody happy? I fell for a white woman and she fell for me — simple as that — yet I feel as if I’m doing the wrong thing by dating her.

Am I the problem or is everyone else? Do white women find me attractive or do they see me as some exotic idea they should find attractive? Do I find white women attractive or do I see them as some exotic idea I should find attractive? Do I even know whom I’m attracted to or why?….

So here I stand, trying to be woke, and not dating white women, and feeling kind of bad about that. Because I’m definitely dating, and thinking that the decision to no longer date white women might not be my own, that any decision to choose a side doesn’t help the whole hashtag-woke thing because how do we solve anything if we just separate and isolate? And also, I mean, a lot of white women are really cool.

Obviously white women are cool. All women are cool….

Anyway, this is me yearning, praying, journaling, writing, dialoguing, putting up a one-man show, wishing, trying to pick a side, wondering how to choose myself and trying to wrap my head around this, hoping that I’m doing woke right, because something just doesn’t feel right.

The #MyWhitePrivilege white-guilt hashtag got some pushbacks. Here’s a sample:

#MyWhitePrivilege is me entering the wrong class room, leaving 60 seconds later, and having the cops called on me cause someone thought I was a school shooter. Yes, this happened” – ☠ ????? ? #???? ?????????? (@Floorcina) March 30, 2019

“Asians have the highest income in the USA, but liberals are so dumb they don’t understand facts so they got #MyWhitePrivilege trending trying to perpetuate their hoax that America is a horrible and racist place that always keeps minorities down.” — Mark Dice (@MarkDice) March 30, 2019

“I can destroy the #MyWhitePrivilege myth with two words: Jussie Smollett. Can’t believe this is trending. Nice way to continue dividing our country, SJWs.” — JosiahRises (@JosiahRises) March 30, 2019

“why on God’s green Earth is #MyWhitePrivilege trending? What the Hell is wrong with you @Twitter? Why are you constantly leading the charge to divide us? Sick.. truly sick. There is no such thing as White privilege. It’s a made up concept by the left to separate us.” — Joe Pags Pagliarulo (@JoeTalkShow) March 30, 2019

#MyWhitePrivilege doesn’t exist. Ask Jussie Smollett.” — Cloyd Rivers Pics (@CloydRiversPics) March 30, 2019

Florida demorat governor candidate Gillum’s campaign staff member: “Florida is a f**ked up cracker a** state”

Wow, just wow.

Project Veritas is at it again: Exposing the demorats dirty tricks and willingness to say and do anything to get elected.

Last night James O’Keefe and his team released an undercover video of demorat Florida governor candidate Andrew Gillum (running against republican candidate Ron DeSantis) in which his campaign staff members (specifically, Omar Smith) said the following:

  • You whip ‘em up, the poor, into a frenzy. You have to whip them up into a frenzy in order for them to vote.”
  • “Do the voters know that? That’s not for them to know.
  • “Gillum is a progressive. He’s part of the crazy, crazy, crazies.
  • “You have to appeal to white guilt.”
  • On gun control: “I don’t think he can say it [be]cause he’s trying to get the moderates” … “three day waiting period for everybody,” “small steps” to ban assault rifles.
  • “Alright? This is a f**ked up ass state.”
  • “It’s a cracker state.”
  • In order to get this agenda through, you’re going to need it by force. Is that, am I reading you correctly? Yes.”

#WalkAway Florida, just #WalkAway.

Raised with no coping mechanisms: Majority of college students says they’re stressed, many report suicidal thoughts

Maybe kids have a problem with self-identity because choosing from 31 genders is exhausting.

Maybe not everyone should be given a participation trophy.

Maybe kids shouldn’t be glued to smartphones.

Maybe kids should lay off the social media platforms.

Maybe we should let boys be boys.

Maybe girls should know that today’s feminism really isn’t their friend.

Maybe we shouldn’t teach white children that they are responsible for every racist problem because of their skin color.

Maybe political correctness is stifling our children.

Maybe progressive “values” aren’t that healthy for our children.

From Yahoo (via GMA): Sending a child off to college is an immense accomplishment for parents, who can finally breathe a sigh of relief. But teens on campus find a vastly different view of what a college environment is like, including its demands and challenges. A new study supports this, finding that students are much more stressed than parents, or anyone else, might realize.

The study, published in the medical journal Depression and Anxiety, found that mounting expectations, an evolving sense of self-identity, and the typical shock of leaving home for a new place are making college students more vulnerable to mental health risks, including suicidality.

Anxiety and depression rates have been rising, according to the study, which found three out of every four college students reporting at least one stressful life event within the past year — involving everything from social relationships to personal appearance to problems with family. Twenty percent said they experienced greater than five stressful life events within that same time frame.

“College is very stressful in an alarming way. That’s important for parents to be aware of,” lead author of the study Cindy Liu, PhD, a psychologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, told ABC News.

Liu conducted the study by surveying over 67,000 college students from over 100 college campuses about their stress, anxiety and depression. They were also asked directly if they’d had suicidal thoughts or made attempts to harm themselves. One in five students said they had thought of suicide, while about one in 10 actually attempted it. Each of those statistics is more than double the national average for adults.

“Even if you have a student who is doing well in school, it doesn’t mean they aren’t dealing with something internally,” Liu said. “You have to peel back more layers. That is the real struggle for parents and colleges — identifying those students who are quietly enduring a significant mental health experience.”

The survey asked about 15 different types of mental health issues, ranging from anorexia to anxiety and panic attacks to addiction. Liu also highlighted one particularly nuanced strength of the study: it pinned down conflicts with self-identity. For example, those who identified as a sexual minority tended to have the highest rates of mental health diagnoses. Gay, lesbian, and bisexual students reported thoughts or actions related to killing themselves two to three times more often than heterosexual students. Transgender students, meanwhile, were among the highest in reported mental health diagnoses and suicidality.

Black and Hispanic students reported mental health diagnoses and self-harm at lower rates than whites; however, multiracial students were more likely to admit thoughts of suicide or previous attempts. These numbers are striking, but in reality, they could actually be worse than the study indicates, since stigmas surrounding sexual identity and mental health may have caused students to underreport their problems.

The findings add gravity to the well-known relationship between trauma, mental health, and suicide, and indicate that college, for some, is far from a carefree environment. It’s important that colleges and students realize the stress is real, and that they make adequate college-based mental health resources available.

For parents of college-bound students, these statistics are unsettling. They may indicate a greater need to pay attention to the mental health experiences of college students, especially when it comes to self-identity.

“Try to normalize the college experience and the stressors involved,” Liu said. “It is critical to think about their identity, and how that matters to their complete mental health experience.”

Wisconsin students demand free tuition for black students to fight white supremacy

all-white-people-are-racist-hoodie
What do you expect from a university that wouldn’t denounce one of their student’s selling the above “All White People Are Racist” hoodies?
From Yahoo: (MADISON, Wis.: AP) — Black students should be offered free tuition and housing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison because blacks were legally barred from education during slavery and university remains out of reach for black students today, the student government said Wednesday.
The Associated Students of Madison said in a resolution that students from suburban high schools are overrepresented. The group said consideration of ACT and SAT scores in applications restricts opportunities for the poor and thus upholds “white supremacy.”
Race relations have been a contentious issue at the Wisconsin’s flagship campus for months. The university has proposed some measures aimed at improving diversity.
“The university’s rhetoric suggests that it is committed to diversity and inclusion, so this legislation compels the university to move towards action — which is imperative,” the resolution’s author, ASM Student Council Rep. Tyriek Mack, said in a statement. “If no one challenges the university’s empty promises, then the racial composition will remain stagnant.”
The resolution demands free access to the university for all black people, including former inmates. That means free tuition, free housing and no fees, Mack said. That would save a black resident undergraduate student about $20,000 a year.
The resolution goes on to call for the university to use 10 percent of donations to bolster financial aid and study the feasibility of test-optional and geographically weighted admissions.
The language mirrors demands that the Black Liberation Collective, a national network of black youth focused on higher education, has made to nearly 90 campuses across the country.
Black students currently make up about 2 percent of Madison enrollment. University spokeswoman Meredith McGlone noted the proportion of “students of color” has grown from 11 percent to 15 percent over the last decade. She said the school supports the spirit of the resolution but that it’s unclear whether the methods it proposes are legal or the best way to accomplish those goals.
Chancellor Rebecca Blank has proposed giving first-generation transfers from two-year schools free tuition for a year, contingent on funding in the upcoming state budget, and a recent $10 million donation will be invested in expanding the Chancellor’s Scholarship Program, which supports minorities, McGlone said.
ACT and SAT scores are not the only factor in admissions to the university in Madison, but their inclusion is required under regent policy, McGlone said.
Last spring, pictures of swastikas and Adolf Hitler were posted on a Jewish student’s door, someone hurled racial slurs and spat at a black student in a dorm, and police arrested a black student during class for spray-painting anti-racist messages on campus buildings. Minority students spent the semester pressuring administrators for change.
Last month, a student who was imprisoned for burning down two black churches tried to start a white supremacist group on campus. He abandoned his efforts following intense backlash, but the student government criticized Blank for saying he had a legal right to express his views.
The university in August proposed building a black cultural center, introducing discussions about social differences and expanding ethnic studies courses and diversity training for all faculty and staff.
In-state undergraduate tuition has been frozen for four years and Gov. Scott Walker has proposed a 5 percent tuition cut for resident undergraduates in the second year of the upcoming state budget. Representatives of the Legislature’s budget-writing committee haven’t responded to an email Thursday seeking comment.
Asked for comment on the resolution, Mike Mikalsen, an aide to state Sen. Steve Nass — a Republican and one of the university’s most outspoken critics — responded by calling ASM a waste of student fees.
Madison Bevan, a sophomore from Los Angeles who identifies herself as black-white biracial, called free access for black students a good way to bolster their numbers on campus. She said one student in her dorm told her she was the first black person they’ve ever seen. “There’s such a small number of (black) people on campus, it’s very easy to feel like you’re alone,” she said.
Chinese graduate student Yuhong Zhu said the resolution is awkward and he’d rather see more scholarships than a blanket offer of free access. “I wouldn’t appreciate if the school offered me free tuition just because I’m a minority,” he said. “We should at least have to work hard for it.”
Jared Akers, a white student at the school, said the resolution was “odd” and that free access for blacks was unfair. “That,” he said, “kind of seems like a handout more than doing them any favors.”

Seattle offers classes on 'white fragility,' to explain roots of guilt

white guilt
From Fox News: A city-run cultural program in Seattle is offering residents classes on “white fragility” to white folks understand why they can’t seem to handle matters involving race, and tickets have sold out.
Lecturer Robin DiAngelo, who coined the term, is teaching the taxpayer-funded class for the city Office of Arts and Culture. She defines white fragility as “a state in which even a minimum amount of racial stress becomes intolerable, triggering a range of defensive moves.”
Critics say it is just the latest attempt at spreading white guilt, following in the footsteps of concepts such as “white privilege.”

Lecturer Robin DiAngelo

Lecturer Robin DiAngelo

“By the way, DiAngelo is white,” noted Todd Herman, of MyNorthwest.com. “But she doesn’t have any bias or fragility. And we’re going to pay her a bunch of money to teach a class on white fragility!”
The Office of Arts and Culture, which has a budget of $8.3 million, is holding two 4-hour classes, Aug. 17 and Sept. 7. Tickets are $60 and both lectures are sold out. Erika Lindsay, a city spokesperson, says staffers have been working on the event, but she could not pinpoint how much taxpayers are shelling out for the program.
“A primary role of our office is to provide programs and resources to help the arts and culture sector flourish and many arts and cultural organizations see the ability to become more inclusive as a major step towards their ability to thrive,” she said.
DiAngelo, who is white, has made a career out of studying whiteness. She earned her doctorate in Multicultural Education from the University of Washington in 2004. Ten years later she became a tenured professor in whiteness studies at Westfield State University. Now she is back in Seattle working as a lecturer at the University of Washington. She’s also director of equity for Sound Generations, Seattle/King County and was recently appointed to co-design Seattle’s Race and Social Justice Anti-Racism Training program.
Seattle is not alone in spending tax dollars on educating white people about their purported fragility. Portland Community College held a series of lectures in April under the heading: “Whiteness History Month Project.”
Melinda Bullen, Diversity Resource Center coordinator at Mt. Hood Community College, lectured on “white fragility.” Bullen, who is white, told attendees, “because of their position of privilege and accustomed racial comfort, whites will often display racial arrogance by denying, debating, trivializing racism or critical thought regarding racial conflict.”
Bullen also says white people need to be much harder on themselves. “Seeing yourself as well-meaning,” she said, “removes responsibility for your actions…good intentions are one of the great hindrances to honest conversations about race.”

Chris Matthews, An Older White Guy, Slams Older White Guys

In Europe in the old days, kings had court jesters to supply amusement and entertainment.
Alas, those days are no more but Chris Matthews somehow missed the e-mail about that. God bless him! For what would America be without Matthews the Clown’s “I feel a thrill up my leg” and other silly utterances?
Scott Whitlock of Media Research Center reports on January 17, 2011:

Appearing on MSNBC, Monday, to promote his new special on Barack Obama, Chris Matthews attacked “older white people” for still holding bigoted feelings against the first African American President.
Lavishing praise on younger Americans, he added, “And I think that’s a generalization and I’ll stick with it. I think younger people do not see race as an obstacle.” He then touted the “non-judgmental” attitude of Obama voters, fawning, “In fact, they say [race is] irrelevant and don’t even notice it, whereas older people notice it all the time.”
If “older white people” are focused on race, Matthews could certainly be one of them. On January 27, 2010, after Obama’s State of the Union address, he oddly alerted, “You know, I forgot he was black tonight for an hour…I was watching, I said, ‘Wait a minute. He’s an African-American guy in front of a bunch of other white people, and there he is, President of the United States, and we’ve completely forgotten that tonight.'” [MP3 audio here.]

Umm, let’s see….
Chris Matthews was born on December 17, 1945, which makes him 65 years old.
He is pasty white, as you can see from this pic…

Even better, here he is in full corpulent pastiness, captured by our brilliant political artist Bob Keyser!
CAUTION: Spew Alert! and Eye Bleach Alert!!!

A BKeyser design

An impartial observer would say Chris Matthews himself is an older white guy.
Maybe there really is something to what some psychologists say about the Left: White liberals are consumed with a self-hatred that stems from their misplaced sense of guilt about blacks and other racial minorities. That kind of irrational self-hatred most certainly is a form of mental illness.
H/t beloved fellow May!
