Fox's 'Family Guy' portrays Jesus as sex-crazed adulterer

Hal G. P. Colebatch, in Return of the Heroes, observed that “the arts not only mirror social and cultural values, but are powerful forces to shape lives and behaviour.”
When Barack Obama was elected president in 2008, he vowed to “transform” America. And indeed he did. Like their man Obama, the Left have been “transforming” America by perverting, polluting, degrading pop culture, pop entertainment, and pop music, among which are cartoons, now called “animation.”
Gone are the days of truly inventive and funny cartoons like Bugs Bunny and Wile E. Coyote of Warner Brothers’ Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies. In their place are unfunny “adult animation,” the most puerile of which is Fox Broadcasting Company’s Family Guy — an animation sitcom created by the vile Seth MacFarlane, about the Griffins, a family consisting of a mom, an obese dad named Peter, 3 children, and their pet dog Brian who talks and spews obscenities.
Family Guy has opened a new vicious front on the War on Christmas and on Christianity in America with a Christmas-themed episode last Sunday night titled “The 2,000-Year-Old Virgin” that portrays Jesus Christ as a sex-crazed adulterer.
Family Guy
Billy Halloway reports for The Blaze, Dec. 8, 2014, that “The 2,000-Year-Old Virgin” is about Peter Griffin and his friends trying to help Christ lose his virginity, according to Christian Today.
“After running into Jesus at the Quahog Mall, Peter is stunned to discover that the Son of God is still a virgin,” reads the episode’s synopsis. “So, he enlists Quagmire and Cleveland to help him throw Jesus the best birthday ever by finding a way to help him become a man.”
At one point during the episode, Jesus told Peter he wants to lose his virginity to Peter’s wife, Lois — a request that Peter agrees to in exchange for a massage chair.
“Look Peter, I know it’s a lot to ask, but if it wasn’t okay I wouldn’t suggest it,” Jesus said while trying to convince Peter to agree.
Later, while speaking with her husband and considering Jesus’ request, Lois said, “The son of God’s first time should be special.”
In the end, Peter and Lois change their mind and decide against the plan after it is revealed that Jesus tricks husbands every year into allowing him to sleep with their wives.
Clearly, the episode was intentionally filled with themes and comments that many Christians would find offensive — a fact that was openly admitted in one scene, as the shows creators poked fun at those they knew would be uncomfortable with the subject matter.
And if there’s any question about the episode’s intention to spark controversy during the holiday season, consider the single line that accompanies its description on the “Family Guy” website. It reads: “Happy Birthday, Jesus.”

Maryland public schools delete Christmas from calendar

War-on-Christmas
Christmas no longer exists in the Montgomery County school district in Maryland.
Kyle Olsen reports for EAGnews, Nov. 12, 2014, that the school district is stripping Christmas from its official calendar after Muslim parents complained. So the school board voted 7-1 to stop recognizing Christian and Jewish religious holidays. Although the schools will still have holidays in December, they will now be called “winter break” and “student holidays,” instead of Christmas and Yom Kippur.
But that isn’t enough to satisfy Muslims who demand recognition of and “parity” for the Muslim holiday of Eid.
WTOP reports that Saqib Ali, co-chair of Equality for Eid, says, “Equality is really what we’re looking for. Simply saying we’re not going to call this Christmas, and we’re not going to call this Yom Kippur, and still closing the schools, that’s not equality.” CAIR isn’t happy either. Its representative Zainab Chaudry complains that “What’s really concerning to us is that similar conditions weren’t placed on any other faith community.”
According to NBC 4, school employee Samira Hussein has campaigned for 20 years to have the Muslim holiday added to the school calendar, saying “The Eid is just the same exact as Christmas day or Easter day or Yom Kippur.”

School board member Michael Durso says unless the Muslims’ complaints are addressed, the district “comes off as insensitive, and I just think we cannot afford to be in that light.” Blah, blah, blah.

VA hospitals ban cards that say "Merry Christmas"

Todd Starnes reports for FoxNews, Dec. 25, 2013, that fourth-grader Gracie Brown was among the boys and girls at Grace Academy in Prosper, Tex., who had spent most of last Friday making homemade Christmas cards for bedridden veterans at the VA hospital in Dallas.
Little Gracie drew an American flag on her card, together with the words “Merry Christmas. Thank you for your service.”
VA banned this Merry Christmas card
Gracie was proud of her card. She told MyFoxDFW.com that she had hoped it would make the day of a sick veteran at the hospital “because their family might live far away, and they might not have somebody to celebrate Christmas with. I’d like them to know they’ve not been forgotten and somebody wanted to say thank you.”
But the bedridden veterans at the VA hospital will never get to see Gracie’s card. Nor will they see the cards made by 51 other students. That’s because the Christmas cards violate VA policy.
On Monday morning the boys and girls were planning on hand delivering the cards to the wounded veterans. Susan Chapman, a math teacher at the academy who’s married to a veteran and volunteers with the American Legion and other veterans’ organizations, called the hospital to make final arrangements and that’s when she learned there was a problem.
Chapman said, “I told him [an official at the VA hospital] my students made cards, we’d like to bring them down for the veterans. And he said, ‘That’s great. We’re thrilled to have them, except the only thing is, we can’t accept anything that says ‘Merry Christmas’ or ‘God bless you’ or any scriptural references because of all the red tape.'”
A VA official quoted the policy which is in the Veterans Health Administration handbook:
“In order to be respectful of our veterans’ religious beliefs, all donated holiday cards are reviewed by a multi-disciplinary team of staff led by chaplaincy services and determined if they are appropriate (non-religious) to freely distribute to patients. We regret this process was not fully explained to this group and apologize for any misunderstanding.”
Andrea Brown, Gracie’s mom, was dumbfounded by the news. She told MyFoxDFW.com, “This wasn’t the country I grew up in, when you couldn’t say ‘Merry Christmas,’ you couldn’t say ‘God bless you’ or reference any scripture.” She said the boys and girls were heartbroken that the military personnel would not be able to receive their cards: “They couldn’t believe that these people they wanted to honor weren’t going to get the chance to see what they had done.”
Hiram Sasser, director of litigation for Liberty Institute, said it was a new low “even for the Scrooges and Grinches at the VA. Does the VA have no shame? Targeting the benevolent work of little children for censorship is disgusting. Do the Grinches in the administration of the VA really believe our bravest warriors need protection from the heartfelt well wishes of small children saying Merry Christmas?”

Post Office Boots Christmas Carolers

Via radio.foxnews.com:
A group of Christmas carolers was thrown out of a U.S. Post Office in Silver Spring, MD, after the post office manager told them they were not allowed to sing Christmas carols on government property.
A spokesman for the U.S. Postal Service confirmed the incident occurred Saturday at a branch office in the Aspen Hill Shopping Center. A trio of carolers walked into the building dressed in attire reminiscent of Charles Dickens and began singing.
“They were only a few notes into their carol when suddenly, out of the corner of my eye, I saw a scowling postal manager rushing to confront the carolers,” said JP Duffy, who was standing in a line with his wife and two-year-old daughter.
Duffy, who also happens to be a staff member of the Family Research Council, said he was stunned by what happened next.
“He told them that they had to leave immediately because they were violating the post office’s policy against solicitation,” Duffy said. “He told them they couldn’t do this on government property. He said: ‘You can’t go into Congress and sing and you can’t do it here either.’”
You will find the rest of the story here.
When the United State Postal Service finally goes Tango Uniform a few years from now, somehow I doubt this Scrooge of a manager will be able to get a job greeting customers at Wal-Mart.
I am guessing he will make a great Port-O-John pumper, though. 🙂
