Port Angeles mayor wants veteran memorial park artwork modified because soldiers are holding guns

Demorat Sissi Burch

The mayor of Port Angeles, Washington – Sissi Bruch – wants artwork at the Veterans Memorial Park modified. The reason? The two soldiers are holding guns. Oh the horror!

This memorial is dedicated to all veterans who have served our country in war and peace. The park, originally named Central Park, was renamed in 1986 in honor of those who served in all branches of the armed forces and all conflicts since the Civil War.

In a memo to the city council, the mayor states that there are two decorative outlines of soldiers with guns. Apparently there has been much objection to these two items.

It further states: “There have been many complaints regarding the two large solders with guns being used as decorative elements to this fence. Given that our nation is experiencing an outbreak in gun violence in our schools and our communities, it is easy to see why these elements have caused such concern. There are many other symbols that can be used to celebrate our Veterans that will be embraced by our community. Flags, eagles, and anchors could be used. Modifying the soldiers so that the guns are not there would also be less objectionable.

There’s a link to the memo here. The item is on the council’s Wednesday agenda.

MyNorthwest.com interviewed the artist. Read his take on this action here. (He believes the mayor has a “personal vendetta” against guns.)

You know what soldiers used in war and conflict? Guns!

If you are easily triggered by such facts that soldiers carry/use guns, maybe you shouldn’t leave your house.

Do You Own a Gun?

I received this email from a trusted friend who forwarded it from her trusted friend.   I have no idea if it’s the God’s honest truth or urban legend.  It’s vitally important to verify the information.

Fact of Fiction?

Do you have a gun in your House?

When I had my gangrenous gallbladder taken out and spent an overnight stay which should have been 10 days if the insurance company had not kicked me out. I had a home nurse visits for two weeks and was asked if I had guns in the house. I responded that if I did I would not tell them. So the below has some merit.

FYI, I am passing this along…there are comments from two other people who have also been asked if we keep guns in the house. The nurse just kinda slipped it in along with all the other regular questions. I told her I refused to answer because it was against the law to ask.

Everyone, whether you have guns or not, should give a neutral answer so they have no idea who does and who doesn’t. My doctor asked me if I had guns in my house and also if any were loaded. I, of course, answered yes to both questions. Then he asked why I kept a loaded gun close to my bed. I answered that my son, who is a certified gun instructor and also works for Homeland Security, advised me that an unloaded, locked up gun is no protection against criminal attack.

The Government now requires these questions be asked of people on Medicare, and probably everyone else.

Just passing this along for your information: I had to visit a doctor other than my regular doctor when my doctor was on vacation.. One of the questions on the form I had to fill out was: Do you have any guns in your house?? My answer was None of your damn business!!

So it is out there! It is either an insurance issue or government intervention. Either way, it is out there and the second the government gets into your medical records (as they want to under Obamacare) it will become a major issue and will ultimately result in lock and load!!

Please pass this on to all the other retired guys and gun owners…Thanks, from a Vietnam Vet and retired Police Officer: I had a doctors appointment at the local VA clinic yesterday and found out something very interesting that I would like to pass along. While going through triage before seeing the doctor, I was asked at the end of the exam, three questions:1. Did I feel stressed? 2. Did I feel threatened? 3. Did I feel
like doing harm to someone?

The nurse then informed me, that if I had answered yes to any of the questions, I would have lost my concealed carry permit as it would have gone into my medical records and the VA would have reported it to Homeland Security.

Looks like they are going after the vets first. Other gun people like retired law enforcement will probably be next. Then when they go after the civilians, what argument will they have? Be forewarned and be aware. The Obama administration has gone on record as considering veterans and gun owners potential terrorists. Whether you are a gun owner, veteran or not, YOU’VE BEEN WARNED !

If you know veterans and gun owners, please pass this on to them. Be very cautious about what you say and to whom.

Another American flag desecrated with Obama's face

Section 8 (g) of the US Flag code states,

“The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.”

Mere weeks after an American flag with the face of Barack Obama in place of the stars, was removed from the Florida Democratic Party headquarters, the same flag is now flying from an apartment in Lumberton, NJ.

Tim of Front Porch Politics reports, April 7, 2012, that the apartment’s residents are clearly upset by the flag. One lady, almost in tears, said in reference to the image of Obama on the flag,

“I don’t care if it’s a can of peas, it don’t belong on my American flag.”

Hans Cammack, the flag’s owner said, “It’s Obama, I mean, it’s our President.” Cammack’s friend Richard Clarkson bought the flags because he “wanted to support the President of the United States” after hearing disparaging remarks about Obama.
However, many of the people there, including some veterans are highly offended. Pointing at the flag, one man explained: “I fought for that flag. I just don’t want it defaced.”
Cammack, also a veteran, has no intention of taking down the defaced flag.

Media Ignores the Veterans March on President's Day

On Presidents Day, the veterans and active duty military supporting Ron Paul massed at the Washington Monument to march in formation to the White House.  Regardless of which candidate you support, it was a very stirring event, with a prayer for their comrades who fell in combat and suicide — totally under-reported by the media that gushes over OWS scum.   One young active duty soldier traveled all the way from Alaska to participate.    Full Story here
Notice, they purposefully turn their backs on the White House as they pray for their comrades who died while serving under Commander In Chief Obama.

What ESPN Didn't Show You

On the night of November 14, 2011, the Green Bay Packers played against the Minnesota Vikings in Lambeau Field, Wisconsin. The ESPN cameras were there to record the football game.
Strangely, ESPN failed to show you this:
