Unhinged Demorats: Washington man says truck was torched for having Trump stickers

From MyNorthwest.com: A Southwest Washington man’s truck is now a charred hulk after being set on fire. Its owner says it’s because it had two Trump 2020 stickers on its bumper.

“I literally just put those on this weekend, just put them on,”Johnny Mackay told Portland’s KOIN 6. “If I would have known someone would have taken their politics this far … I thought they were funny. Apparently, somebody did not get the joke.”

One sticker said “Trump 2020: Make America Great Again.” The other stated: “Trump 2020: Make Liberals Cry Again!” MacKay recently put the pair of “Trump 2020” stickers on his 2015 Nissan Titan.

He left the truck at the Garage Bar and Grille’s parking lot in Vancouver, Wash. after having drinks there Saturday night. The next day, he returned to find the car torched, the tires melted, and the windows shattered. There was also an anti-Trump message spray painted on its side.

“If you say anything that somebody doesn’t like, you are automatically a target,” he said. “You are automatically the enemy and they have to hurt you.”

MacKay says he didn’t vote for Trump in 2016. He supports him now that he’s the president. He’s also an Uber driver. MacKay says the fire destroyed his source of income. He also has a message for whoever burned his car.

“The person needs to get help,” MacKay said. “Whether it was from drugs or a mental condition (it’s called liberalism), this person needs to get help. If they blow up at this, who knows.”

Portland Burgerville employees wear “Abolish ICE” buttons while at work; management caves to their demands

Burgerville Workers Union photo

Burgerville is a restaurant chain headquartered in Vancouver, Washington with 47 locations throughout Washington and Oregon.

The workers formed the Burgerville Workers Union in April 2016 which the company opposed. According to Wikipedia, in 2018, the workers of one Burgerville restaurant in southeast Portland voted 18-4 in an NLRB-administered election to form a labor union; the vote compels the company to officially recognize the Burgerville Workers Union (BVWU) and to collectively bargain with it. The BVWU is the only fast food union in the United States with federal recognition.

Now some union employees are taking a vocal political stance while working in private company uniforms.

Oregon Live reports that ten employees wore “Abolish ICE” and “No One Is Illegal” buttons last month while on the job at a Portland Burgerville location. They were told to remove their buttons while at work, refused to do so and were then sent home because they were in violation of company policy.

The next day, the company caved and allowed the employees to continue with their political pandering and even gave them pay for the time they were sent home.

A spokesman for the BVWU said the following: “We see the workplace as a central realm for combating white supremacy and anti-immigrant sentiment.”

The company is not pleased with this public display of personal political opinions at their private company. Yet the union workers continue with their antics. Oregon Live describes how employees have worn buttons with “messages opposed to fascism, police brutality and the Trump administration’s immigration policies.”

The workers don’t care that it makes customers uncomfortable. A spokesman for the company says that the feedback they’ve received indicates customers don’t want to see personal or political messages while they eat. Duh, they just want a burger and fries.

The company then formalized their policy and prohibited political buttons. But that didn’t stop the ten employees from wearing their political buttons. So then Burgerville put that new policy on hold.

Imagine being so infected with TDS that you purposely break a company policy and make customers feel uncomfortable all so you can feel better about your own political stance. Progressives are such bullies.

Death at Occupy Vancouver

Occupy Vancouver protestors will not comply w/orders from fire department/Photo courtesy of CBC

Occupy Vancouver Death Confirmed

Via CBC News:  A woman taking part in the Occupy Vancouver protest at the city’s art gallery has died, Vancouver police have confirmed.  Police say a woman in her 20s was found unresponsive inside a tent at the encampment at about 4:30 p.m. PT Saturday. She was taken to hospital by ambulance, where she later died. Her name has not been released.
Police say the cause of death has not been determined, but there is no evidence to indicate the death is suspicious. Police would not confirm reports the woman died of a drug overdose.
A section of the tent city near the corner of Howe and Georgia streets had been roped off, and about a dozen police and fire officials were on scene, the CBC’s Chad Pawson reported from the scene on Saturday afternoon.  He reported about a dozen people were visibly upset, crying and hugging each other, and being very hostile towards the media.
Occupy Vancouver organizers would not release any information about the death. They said reporters were being kept away because someone had been injured, but denied anyone had died.
The death comes days after a protester was treated for a drug overdose on Thursday, and amid concern by Vancouver’s fire department about the conditions at the Occupy camp.
The protest movement has also become a key issue in the Nov. 19 civic election in Vancouver, with Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson facing criticism for allowing the tent city to continue. On Friday, Robertson said authorities could be forced to remove occupiers and bring down the tent city, but said he is still hopeful a peaceful solution can be reached.
Hint Mayor: There is likely no peaceful resolution with those that purposely break the law.  It is your duty to ensure citizens abide by the law and if not, take appropriate measures.
And prayers for this young woman that died.  Whatever the cause of her death, I’m sure her parents, family and friends are just saddened.
