The tolerant left: Landlord will not renew lease of Chick-Fil-A’s first UK restaurant

Chick-Fil-A (CFA) just opened up their first restaurant in the UK in Reading (about an hour outside of London.)

The tolerant left protested because of their bigotry against the religious beliefs of the CEO, Dan Cathy.

MyFoxChicago reports the store opened on October 10th. LGBT protestors immediately showed up and convinced the landlord to not renew their lease after it expires in six months.

From the article: “A mall spokesperson said concerns raised by activists about the chain have made them determine “the right thing to do” is not to extend the restaurant’s lease beyond the “six-month pilot period,” according to reports by BBC.”

Progressives’ hate and determination to smear CFA was evidenced on Twitter last week when a libtard spread an outright lie on Twitter. A tweet was made viral that claimed the following:

As Daily Caller noted, “Fact-checking website Snopes butchered its fact check of a viral but false tweet linking Chick-fil-A to anti-gay legislation in Uganda.”

The truth didn’t stop the tweet from receiving more than 57,000 thousand retweets and 118,000 thousand likes on Twitter.

Daily Caller reported the following: Chick-fil-A has not supported legislative campaigns of any kind in Uganda,” a Chick-Fil-A spokesman told the Washington Examiner’s Brad Polumbo, who criticized Snopes in a column Wednesday.”

Read the whole CFA/Uganda smear tactic here.

That’s typical of the left – just following the Commie playbook.

Every time the progressives try to bash CFA we always go there to support them. We’ll be making another visit to CFA this Saturday for lunch!

CDC now admits "in theory" Ebola can be transmitted by air

From the beginning of the Ebola epidemic in West Africa, the federal government’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has insisted that the deadly viral hemorrhagic fever (in the infection’s horrific end stage, the victim bleeds from every orifice) can only be transmitted via direct contact with a victim’s bodily fluids — blood, vomit, urine, feces, sweat, nasal charge, or semen.
This, despite a Canadian research in 2012 which found the Ebola virus to be transmitted by air between one animal species (pigs) and another (monkeys).
On Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, in a press call, however, CDC Director Tom Frieden for the first time admitted that, in theory, a sneeze or cough could spread the virus from someone experiencing Ebola symptoms.

Ebola virus

Ebola virus

As reported by Elise Viebeck for The Hill,

Frieden said, “There are certainly theoretical situations where someone sneezes … and you touch your eyes or mouth or nose,” and catch the virus from any transmitted particles.

“[But] realistically you can say what may be theoretically possible as opposed to what actually happens in the real world” — whatever that means.
It also doesn’t help that at the same press call, under intense questioning from reporters, CDC officials and those from the Texas health department and the City of Dallas repeatedly declined to provide details about the steps being taken to prevent an Ebola outbreak in America.
Texas Health Commissioner David Lakey refused to identify or describe the four individuals who have been quarantined in Dallas due to possible exposure to Ebola from Thomas Eric Duncan, the Liberian native who flew from Nigeria to Dallas (through Brussels and Washington, DC) though infected with the virus. Duncan is the first confirmed case of Ebola in the U.S., his condition having been upgraded from “serious and stable” to “critical.”
Lakey would not explain why the quarantine order was necessary, saying only that it brings “confidence” that key medical monitoring will take place. Another official said later that the four individuals sought to leave home in spite of the quarantine, but would not provide more detail. In a separate later press conference, health officials referred to the quarantined as Duncan’s “family members,” although those “family members” have been identified in news accounts as being Duncan’s fiancée and her children. (How is a not yet married fiancée a “family member”?)
Officials confirmed that roughly 100 people across America are being questioned about possible exposure to the virus — up from reports of more than 80 earlier in the day. Only a “handful” likely could have caught the virus, they said, and no one but Duncan is showing symptoms.
At the press call, officials also refused to answer other questions from reporters:

  • Why weren’t the four individuals quarantined in a medical facility?
  • How many of Duncan’s younger contacts were in school this week?
  • Why weren’t soiled linens that likely carry the virus immediately removed from the apartment in which Duncan was staying? Instead, it took 5 days before workers in HazMat suits went into the apartment to remove the contaminated bed sheets and towels.

The press conference became increasingly confrontational.
Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings scolded journalists for being “part of the problem” while, at the same time, calling the response to the case “at best, disorganized.” He said,

”It is, at best, disorganized out there and we have some members of the press that are creating a bit more of that. We need everybody to be professional.”
Journalists complained about the lack of information as officials left.

”Is this transparency?” asked one reporter. “You bring us all here and then only take six or seven questions? … I have a job to do.”

Marburg virus

Marburg virus

Meanwhile, the Chinese government news agency Xinhua reports the cheerful news today that another deadly hemorrhagic fever, Marburg, has broken out in the East African country of Uganda after samples taken to the Uganda Virus Institute tested positive.
Elioda Tumwesigye, Uganda’s minister of state for health told reporters that one person has so far died on Sept. 28 and 80 others are being monitored, “The Ministry of Health would like to inform the country of an outbreak Marburg which has so far killed one person. Another person who has developed signs is being monitored.”
According to the World Health Organization, Marburg is a severe and highly fatal disease caused by a virus from the same family as the one that causes Ebola. The illness caused by Marburg virus begins abruptly, with severe headache and malaise. Marburg’s fatality rates have varied greatly, from 25% to more than 80% (in the Democratic Republic of Congo from 1998-2000), to even higher in an outbreak in Angola in late 2004.
In West Africa, it is estimated that the current Ebola epidemic has left more than 3,000 people dead.

St. Charles Lwanga and Companions

St. Charles LwangaToday, June 3rd, the Universal Church honors St. Charles Lwanga and Companions.  Charles is the patron of youth and Catholic action in Africa.

Charles is one of 22 courageous individuals who were martyred for refusing to commit immoral homosexual acts as directed and required by the Bagandan ruler, Mwanga.

Charles learned of Our Lord Jesus Christ’s teachings from retainers in the court of Chief Mawulugungu.  He entered the royal household as an assistant to Joseph Mukaso, who was leader of the court pages, and while serving in this capacity, he was a catechumen.

St. Charles Lwanga and CompanionsThere were 13 to 30 pages Charles protected from Mwanga, who demanded of these individuals to perform deviant sexual activities.  Charles and his companions were imprisoned and during this time, Charles taught the Catholic Faith to them.

On June 3, 1886, Charles continued to encourage his companions to resist such mortal sin.  He was baptized Catholic on this day, and Charles remained the inspiration for his friends, showing his courage, loyalty and faithfulness, and his love of His Catholic Faith.  His example helped to motivate them to resist Mwanga’s ongoing sexual demands, wherein they remained chaste and faithful.  On this same day, Mwanga saw to it that Charles was burned to death at Namugongo; and the rest of his companions were also martyred.

On October 18, 1864, all twenty-two Ugandan martyrs were canonized, and Pope Paul VI referred to the Anglican pages martyred for the same reason.

We must remain firm and well-grounded in our Faith, and must practice our Faith not only in proclaiming it, but living it.  Clearly, there is a blind eye in today’s society to sexual deviancy, and in fact, individuals are encouraged to practice homosexual activities and various other deviant sexual activities because we live in a dictatorship of moral relativism.  If a person opposes such behavior, they are called “homophobic” and are shunned and ridiculed.  Nevertheless, we must continue to practice our Christian Faith, while still praying for all souls, that they come to Jesus Christ, especially those who are lost.  We ask Our Lord Jesus to help us change our proclivities to sin, and to strengthen us in character and especially, in love for God who must come first in our lives.

Thank you dear St. Charles Lwanga and Companions for being our examples!   We ask your intercession before the Triune God to help us live our lives as you did, with superb courage motivated by absolute Love of God.

Just The Facts Ma'am, Just The Facts.

Subject: Why Carry a Gun?
Why Carry a Gun?
My old grandpa said to me ‘Son, there comes a time in every man’s life when he stops bustin’ knuckles and starts bustin’ caps, and
usually it’s when he becomes too old to take a whoopin.’

I don’t carry a gun to kill people.
I carry a gun to keep from being killed.

I don’t carry a gun to scare people.
I carry a gun because sometimes this world can be a scary place.

I don’t carry a gun because I’m paranoid.
I carry a gun because there are real threats in the world.
I don’t carry a gun because I’m evil.
I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see the evil in the world.

I don’t carry a gun because I hate the government.
I carry a gun because I understand the limitations of government.

I don’t carry a gun because I’m angry.
I carry a gun so that I don’t have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.

I don’t carry a gun because I want to shoot someone.
I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed, and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.

I don’t carry a gun to make me feel like a man.
I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love.

I don’t carry a gun because I feel inadequate.
I carry a gun because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate.

I don’t carry a gun because I love it.
I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.

Police protection is an oxymoron.
Free citizens must protect themselves.
Police do not protect you from crime, they usually just investigate the crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean up the mess.
Personally, I carry a gun because I’m too young to die and too old to take a whoopin’…..author unknown (but obviously brilliant)

See Update on Switzerland!!

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.
You won’t see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.
Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note my fellow Americans, before it’s too late!
The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.
With guns, we are ‘citizens’. Without them, we are ‘subjects’.
During WW II the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!
If you value your freedom, please spread this anti gun -control message to all of your friends.
The purpose of fighting is to win.
There is no possible victory in defense.
The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either.
The final weapon is the brain.
All else is supplemental.

This was brought to my attention
One other point is particularly important here. The description of gun distribution in Switzerland omits important information.
The Swiss government doesn’t hand out a gun to every household. It requires nearly every able-bodied young male adult to serve in the citizen militia, where they are issued a military rifle. The guns are supposed to be for military use only, not for personal defense.
Those men are supposed to show up for 18 weeks of training, followed by seven re-training sessions (each lasting three weeks) over the next 10 years.
If you want to keep your weapon after your years of service, it is refitted to scale back its firepower and you need to provide a reason for keeping it.
I’m a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment!
If you are too, please forward.

Another Obama War – In Pakistan via Proxies

This morning, we woke up to the news that Obama has involved the United States in yet another war — in Uganda.
Two days ago, D.C. investigative reporter Wayne Madsen wrote that Obama has already begun a war against Pakistan, through proxies. Here’s Madsen’s exclusive-to-subscribers report of Oct. 13, 2011.

U.S. engaged in military operations against Pakistani forces

The editor’s recent article, “Next Stop is Pakistan,” regarding plans for a U.S. military strike on that country, has elicited responses from both the U.S. and Pakistani military sides.

Writing in Pakistan’s The Nation, Khalid Iqbal, retired Air Commodore and former assistant chief of air staff of the Pakistan Air Force, cites the following: “An American writer, Wayne Madsen, recently claimed: ‘Pakistan is next on the target list of nations that will soon be feeling the military muscle of the US…….unlike other Muslim nations that have been subjected to its military intervention, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Yemen, and Libya. Pakistan’s ultimate prize for the West is its nuclear weapons arsenal . . . The plans have been coordinated between the CIA, RAW and Mossad.'”Iqbal adds, “the US always wanted to get to Pakistan’s nukes.”
After reading “Next Stop is Pakistan,” a senior U.S. military source in Kandahar, Afghanistan revealed the following:

“The saber rattling has led Pakistan to rotate its normal border patrol agents with Army regulars in recent weeks and Afghan security forces are in a state of high alert. While it does not get much press, there is already considerable cross-border conflict in the form of raids, shelling and regular movement of people and material at night, usually through groups that are proxies for other entities.  And there have been cross border protests and counter protests — that may be a healthy political expression for this part of the world – but which have further exacerbated the tensions.”

With the Obama administration currently ratcheting up tensions with Iran as a result of claiming a “Made in Hollywood” plot by Iran to assassinate the Saudi ambassador in Washington, and actual hostilities breaking out between mostly U.S. and Pakistani proxies on the Afghan-Pakistani border, the question whether Obama is mentally fit for office becomes more than politically rhetorical.

Oh by the way, skippy has us in another war in Uganda.

Obama Sends 100 US Troops to Uganda to Help Combat Lord’s Resistance Army
ABC News’ Jake Tapper and Luis Martinez report:
Oct 14, 2011 1:54pm—————————————————————
Obama Sends 100 US Troops to Uganda to Help Combat Lord’s Resistance Army
ABC News’ Jake Tapper and Luis Martinez report:
Two days ago President Obama authorized the deployment to Uganda of approximately 100 combat-equipped U.S. forces to help regional forces “remove from the battlefield” – meaning capture or kill – Lord’s Resistance Army leader Joseph Kony and senior leaders of the LRA.
The forces will deploy beginning with a small group and grow over the next month to 100. They will ultimately go to Uganda, South Sudan, the Central African Republic, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with the permission of those countries.
The president made this announcement in a letter to House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, Friday afternoon, saying that “deploying these U.S. Armed Forces furthers U.S. national security interests and foreign policy and will be a significant contribution toward counter-LRA efforts in central Africa.”
He said that “although the U.S. forces are combat-equipped, they will only be providing information, advice, and assistance to partner nation forces, and they will not themselves engage LRA forces unless necessary for self-defense.”
The president said that for more than two decades the LRA has been responsible for having “murdered, raped, and kidnapped tens of thousands of men, women, and children in central Africa” and continues to “commit atrocities across the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and South Sudan that have a disproportionate impact on regional security.”
