Corruption: Defense Secretary James Mattis made secret $10B no-bid Pentagon contract with Amazon

James Mattis, 68, former U.S. Marine Corps general who was widely revered by rank-and-file Marines for his blunt talk and leadership, was recruited by President Trump into his administration as Secretary of Defense, to the roaring approval of conservatives and patriots.

See “Obama regime purges 5th senior military officer: Cmdr of CENTCOM James Mattis

Mattis was defense secretary for only two years, from January 20, 2017 to December 31, 2018, after resigning reportedly over disagreement on Trump’s announcement of an immediate U.S. withdrawal from Syria. A day after Mattis’ departure, on January 2, 2019, Trump criticized Mattis’ performance as Secretary of Defense and said he had “essentially fired him.”

My post of May 24, 2019 was on what may be the real reason why Mattis resigned or was fired: At least seven months before he resigned, Mattis had put together a plan to challenge Trump in the 2020 Republican primary elections.

Now, we are told by FoxNews’ Tucker Carlson that, in addition to being disloyal, Mattis is also corrupt. As defense secretary, Mattis made a secret, no-bid $10 billion Pentagon contract with Amazon.com.

On June 14, 2019’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Carlson said (beg. 30:21 mark in this video):

“The Department of Defense exists to protect America from foreign threats and does a great job of that, thank God, but it’s also a massive consumer of tax dollars — the biggest, really. And for that reason, concerns about corruption are always there.

There’s reason to believe that over the past couple of years, some at the Pentagon had worked to enrich Amazon, already the world’s richest company. In 2017, the Pentagon announced a $10 billion cloud-computing contract. According to critics, the contract wasn’t actually competitive and was designed from the very start to be fulfilled by Amazon and only by Amazon. Several of Defense Secretary Jim Mattis’ aides had prior professional ties to Amazon. A key official working on the Pentagon’s cloud computing program was carrying out secret job negotiations with Amazon even as he worked on the Pentagon’s program.

And we can report exclusively tonight on this program that in March 2017, before the cloud computing contract was announced, [Defense] Secretary Mattis had a secret dinner in London with Amazon’s top cloud sales executive Teresa Carlson.”

Tuckson Carlson then interviewed Congressman Mark Meadows (R-NC), the chair of the conservative Freedom Caucus and considered one of President Trump’s closest allies in Congress. What they said:

  • The Pentagon’s contract with Amazon, “the largest of its kind ever,” is not yet “in place”.
  • Rep. Meadows said the $10 billion contract “was designed” to be given to only one vendor — Amazon — with “perhaps, inside negotiations”. Meadows alluded to the Pentagon official who was carrying out secret job negotiations with Amazon as “now employed with Amazon”. Meadows calls the contract “inside baseball that enriches certain individuals“.
  • Tucker Carlson emphasized the fact that the Pentagon tried to keep secret then-Defense Secretary’s Mattis’ meeting with the Amazon official “like some national security secret,” which it is not. Carlson asks: “Why wouldn’t they be open about that?”.
  • Rep. Meadows said Pentagon’s “procurement process should be open and transparent and competitive…. Somebody as high as General Mattis being with a potential bidder on a contract of $10 billion, and even beyond that there are some suggestions the Department of Defense Inspector General is looking at this in terms of possible conflict-of-interest. So whether it be with General Mattis or with other individuals, what we want to make sure is that the American people get the best value for the dollar, and you can’t do that if you’re designing a contract to go just to one bidder.”
  • Carlson then asks: “Do we trust Amazon this service to keep the Pentagon’s data? It’s not an American company; it’s a . . . multi-national. Are we comfortable with that?”
  • Meadows replies that it’s not a matter of the company, but that this is about the American people putting their trust in Washington, DC, to “get it right”, but Washington don’t get it right all the time. “What you have basically is the Department of Defense…is so bloated…we’ve got hundreds of thousands of people that, candidly, are not necessarily investing the American people’s tax dollar in the most wise and efficient way.”

Hypocritical left call for boycott of Tucker Carlson, ignore racist/homophobic comments by lefty pundits

Of course proggies are calling for a boycott of Fox News’ Tucker Carlson but they said absolutely NOTHING about Don Lemon’s blatantly racist comments or MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski homophobic slurs to attack Mike Pompeo.

So typical of their double standards.

From MSN: At least 18 advertisers have now dropped “Tucker Carlson Tonight” after the Fox News host said in a show last Thursday that immigrants to the United States made the country “poorer” and “dirtier.”

As of Wednesday morning, Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, CareerBuilder, TD Ameritrade, Just For Men, United Explorer credit card, ScotteVest, Voya Financial, Zenni Optical, Pacific Life, Indeed, Bowflex, SmileDirectClub, NerdWallet, Minted, Ancestry.com, IHOP, Jaguar and SodaStream had all told TheWrap or stated publicly that they plan to suspend advertising on the program.

“SodaStream has asked Fox to remove us from the time slot,” the company said in a tweet Wednesday.
A spokesman for Takeda Pharmaceutical Company told TheWrap in a statement: “We have pulled our advertising off of Tucker Carlson’s show.”

On Monday, Carlson addressed the growing boycott campaign against his sponsors over his on-air remarks about immigration, telling viewers that he would not be intimidated.

“You’ve seen it a million times, it happens all the time,” he said. “The enforcers scream ‘racist’ on Twitter, until everyone gets intimidated and changes the subject to the Russia investigation or some other distraction. It’s a tactic, a well worn one. And it won’t work with the show, we’re not intimidated. We plan to say what’s true until the last day.

The pressure, however, has only grown with each defection, as liberal pressure groups like Media Matters for America and Sleeping Giants have kept up the pressure on Twitter. Activists like Jordan Uhl and Judd Legum posted real-time updates to their massive followings of companies whose ads appeared on Monday night’s show.

“We cannot and will not allow voices like Tucker Carlson to be censored by agenda-driven intimidation efforts from the likes of Moveon.org, Media Matters and Sleeping Giants,” a spokesperson for Fox News told TheWrap in a statement Tuesday afternoon. “Attempts were made last month to bully and terrorize Tucker and his family at their home. He is now once again being threatened via Twitter by far left activist groups with deeply political motives.

The statement continued: “While we do not advocate boycotts, these same groups never target other broadcasters and operate under a grossly hypocritical double standard given their intolerance to all opposing points of view.”
The flap began when Carlson remarked on Thursday night that immigrants have made the United States “poorer and dirtier and more divided.”

“As a company, we strongly disagree with Mr. Carlson’s statements. Our customer base and our workforce reflect the diversity of our great nation, something we take great pride in. We will not be advertising on Mr. Carlson’s show in the coming week as we reevaluate our relationship with his program.”

The boycott metastasized from there.

“We are actively working with our media buyers to confirm that SmileDirectClub is no longer running our ads around any political opinion shows,” the company told TheWrap on Monday.

Employment giant Indeed said Monday it has stopped advertising on Carlson’s show and has “no plans to advertise on this program in the future.”

Indeed responded in messages to several Twitter users that the company hadn’t run ads on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” for “over a month now.”

FYI proggies: How’d that call for boycott (driven by Media Hogg) of Laura Ingraham’s show work out?

The double standard of the left: You’re either for civility and law or you just joke about it

The appropriately named “doofus” who jokes about “chocy” milk and battery…

Guess which side the proggies favor…

TDS-infected libtards change their rules every day. They claim to be the “tolerant” party yet cannot act in a civil manner in our society (just ask Tucker Carlson). See the following:

I came across this tweet by some “doofus” who tweeted the following:

“The right: you f*cking pussy ass liberal Cucks. Also the right: hello police, mean lady throw chocy milk at me.”doo

The “doofus” was referring to the incident that I told you about when an unhinged intern for demorat Andrew Gillum was arrested for battery for throwing chocolate milk on a group of College Republicans tabling on campus.

Granted having chocolate milk thrown on you is no big deal…or is it?

In a civil society, people can control their emotions and actions and not break laws. They can act civil toward one another. They can also respect personal boundaries.

Yet the left ended the rules of civility on November 8, 2016 when President Trump was elected.

Let’s take a look at the definition of battery that most civilized societies recognize, shall we?

The definition of battery, from Wikipedia: Battery is a criminal offense involving the unlawful physical acting upon a threat, distinct from assault which is the act of creating apprehension of such contact.

Battery is a specific common law misdemeanor, although the term is used more generally to refer to any unlawful offensive physical contact with another person, and may be a misdemeanor or a felony, depending on the circumstances. Battery was defined at common law as “any unlawful and or unwanted touching of the person of another by the aggressor, or by a substance put in motion by him.” In most cases, battery is now governed by statutes, and its severity is determined by the law of the specific jurisdiction.”

Given the unhinged antics of the left today, are we to assume that the unwanted touching of a deranged liberal with an unwanted substance is to be accepted?

I have a question for the doofus: Would you not be mad and do nothing if something was thrown at your girlfriend by an unknown person? Would you sit back and let her take it? Are you such a Soy Boy that you would allow people to freely throw things at your girlfriend in a threatening manner?

Do you care nothing about her personal safety? Are you not concerned about what the unknown assailant might throw at her or what they might do to her next?

Doofus can joke about “chocy” milk all he (and I use that term loosely) wants.

Real Americans care about the rule of law. And any real man would stand up and protect their gal from ANY kind of battery, instead of joking about it.

Yet we all know that demorats care nothing about the rule of law (see sanctuary status, Florida elections, Benghazi, private servers, etc.) unless it benefits THEIR ideals.

In my eyes the real p*ssy is one that arbitrarily condones legal violence against an opposing political party, as long as he can turn it into a joke. Such a brave doofus…

And that’s the double standard of the left.

Seth MacFarlane has butt hurt over Tucker Carlson telling his audience to believe the opposite of what the MSM reports

seth mcfarlane
Well, Tucker has a valid point. See various examples here, here, here, here, here, here, here, herehere, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here.
From Daily Mail: Seth MacFarlane, creator of several Fox shows, said he is embarrassed to work for the network after remarks made by anchor Tucker Carlson, telling viewers to believe the opposite of what ‘big news’ reports.
‘If you’re looking to understand what’s actually happening in this country, always assume the opposite of whatever they’re telling you on the big news stations,’ Carlson told his viewers on Friday night.
MacFarlane derided Carlson’s message. ‘In other words, don’t think critically, don’t consult multiple news sources, and in general, don’t use your brain,’ MacFarlane tweeted.
‘This is fringe sh**, and its business like this that makes me embarrassed to work for this company,’ the creator of Family Guy and The Orville added.
MacFarlane made his comments on a retweet of CNN’s Brian Stetler, whose show Reliable Sources is a look at how the media covers the news.
The CNN host hit out at Carlson saying he is sending a dangerous message to viewers. ‘Isn’t this sad? Tonight Tucker Carlson told his viewers not to believe ANYTHING they learn from his rivals.’
Fox News has been at the top of cable rated shows for years.
Meanwhile other news sources such as CNN, the New York Times, and Washington Post in recent months have called on viewers to look to several news outlets to gain a fuller understanding of what is happening in the world.

Antifa professor Mike Isaacson who wants cops dead put on administrative leave

Like other universities’ criminal justice program, a main purpose of the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York (CUNY) is to train students for careers in law enforcement.
So it’s especially disturbing that Mike Isaacson, 29, an adjunct professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice‘s economic department, is a founder of Antifa (Anti Fascists), whom the Obama administration’s DHS and FBI, in an April 2016 confidential joint report, had determined to be domestic terrorists.

In a tweet last year, Isaacson confirms that Antifa are communists, saying that “fascists” are anti-communists, which in turn means that Antifa are pro-communism.

Indeed, as you can see, Antifa’s logo is almost identical to the 1932 flag of the paramilitary wing of the German Communist Party.

More recently, in an August 20, 2017 tweet, Isaacson validated the DHS/FBI’s designation of Antifa as domestic terrorists, nonsensically portraying Antifa as “freedom fighters” who use violence to “protect” nonviolence.

In the video below, one of Isaacson’s female comrades declares “the Left” must undertake “militant mass protests”.

In an interview with Tucker Carlson, flashing his blindingly-white teeth with hair oh-so-artfully covering his left eye, Isaacson states that Alt-Rightists like Richard Spencer don’t have the right of free speech and deserve to have Antifa shut them down.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dW1epPzni4
Worse still, on August 23, Isaacson actually tweeted that he looks forward to his law-enforcement students being future “dead cops”.

New York Police Commissioner James O’Neill tweeted his outrage:

“As a 2x grad there, I know Michael Isaacson’s reprehensible values don’t represent @JohnJayCollege, #NYC, #NYPD or families of murdered cops.”

Last Friday, 23 days after Isaacson’s “dead cops” tweet, John Jay College finally placed Mike Isaacson on administrative leave.
In a statement, John Jay’s president Karol Mason said that she was “shocked” and “appalled” by Isaacson’s words, which are “the antithesis of what John Jay College represents” and pose a danger to the safety of faculty and students. Mason writes:

“While respecting free speech and academic freedom are deeply held values, expressions of hate or intimidation are not welcome in that civil discourse, nor is anything that can be perceived as an incitement to violence.
The safety of our students, faculty and staff is our top priority. Today, members of the John Jay faculty received threats, and our students expressed concerns for their safety in the classroom. Out of concern for the safety of our students, faculty and staff, we are immediately placing the adjunct on administrative leave as we continue to review this matter.”

Adjunct faculty are non-tenure track temporary hires, which means they can be fired at will. It is highly unlikely that John Jay College will retain Mike Isaacson, whose academic career is effectively kaput — and rightly so.

Girl bye: Lisa Durden fired following her racist BLM remarks on 'Tucker Carlson Tonight'

lisa durden

Lisa Durden is now a “victim”

Boo- hoo-hoo.
From Fox News: A New Jersey college professor who appeared on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” to defend a black-only Black Lives Matter event has been fired after the college’s president said she made racially insensitive comments on the show, according to reports.
Essex County College in Newark announced Lisa Durden’s firing Friday. She taught communications and pop culture classes as an adjunct, the Newark Star-Ledger reported.
On his June 6 show, Carlson and Durden, who is black, got into a heated exchange over the appropriateness of allowing only blacks to attend a Black Lives Matter event in New York City on Memorial Day.
“Listen. What I say to that is boo-hoo-hoo,” she said. “You white people are angry because you couldn’t use your ‘white privilege’ card to get invited to the Black Lives Matter’s all-black Memorial Day celebration! Wow!”
Two days after the show, the school suspended Durden with pay. She addressed the matter with school officials Tuesday, three days before the firing was announced.
College president Anthony Munroe said Friday the Fox News appearance prompted calls from students, faculty and prospective students and their families “expressing frustration, concern and even fear that the views expressed by a college employee with influence over students would negatively impact their experience on the campus.”
He noted that although Durden did not mention her affiliation with the school during the show or claim to be representing its views, “her employment with us and potential impact on students required our immediate review into what seemed to have become a very contentious and divisive issue.”
Munroe went further in explaining his reasons for firing Durden in a lengthy statement — in which he invoked the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
“The character of this institution mandates that we embrace diversity, inclusion and unity,” he said. “Racism cannot be fought with more racism.”
Durden declined comment Sunday when contacted by Fox News.
She has said that she was “publicly lynched” by the school.
On Friday, she told the Star-Ledger that she has received a lot of support from school staff members and students, but compared her experience to a rape victim who is blamed for the crime, and a person who returns from war to a hostile environment.
“I thought it would be a safe place for me,” she told the paper, referring to the college. “I thought when I came home from war, I would be safe.” Instead she said she was fired.
Durden’s attorney, Leslie Farber, said she believes her client’s free speech rights were violated. “It is free speech guaranteed by the 1st Amendment of the US Constitution and New Jersey law,” Farber told Fox News Sunday.
The attorney said they were considering whether to take legal action in the matter.

Fabio goes against the Hollyweird narrative: Says "California is a mess"

From Hollywood Reporter: Actor and model Fabio Lanzoni told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson on Friday night that he’s worried about California, which he calls home.
“California is a mess,” Fabio told Carlson, joking that “coming from Europe, I’ve already seen this movie before.”
“I’m telling you, it’s an epidemic,” he explained. “Out of my friends, about 14 people got burglarized or robbed. As people, we have to take the law’s side, we have to stand behind the police, not behind the criminal,” he added.
The Italian model became a citizen last year and has lived in California for 14 years. He said he worries about people’s safety as more people he knows, including himself, are affected by local robberies.
He also added that he thinks Gov. Jerry Brown “took the side of the criminal,” claiming that the politician “lied to people,” referring to Prop 57, Brown’s effort to reshape California’s criminal-justice system by offering a new chance at release from prison for many prisoners.
Watch the interview above.
