Columnist John Crudele received an email from Henry Repeating Arms that advertised for the Christmas season. Apparently the content of the email offended Crudele so much that he wrote a column about his feelings.
His NY Post column published yesterday was entitled, “A nauseating Christmas gun ad killed my holiday spirit.”
Crudele writes about how he’s shot guns and understands “that thrill.”
But an email from a gun manufacturer trying to sell guns as a Christmas gift is “despicable.”
Read his whole traumatic experience here.
One has to wonder how Crudele ended up receiving an email from Henry Repeating Arms in the first place if he deems guns so offensive.
And one has to wonder why he isn’t able to delete junk mail he doesn’t want to see.
And in particular one has to wonder why the man who, when he did shoot, chose to shoot an Uzi. But he now suddenly has to complain that “companies like this give people who don’t like guns a reason to continue their dislike for them.”
Well, wonder no longer. From a column Crudele wrote in 2016: “Here’s why I’m all for gun control.”
I highly doubt Crudele was seriously taken aback by Henry Repeating Arms’ email. Fortunately for him it just worked out to magically transition into an anti-gun rant column in time for his next deadline!
