The Heartless Bureaucracy

If the personal freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution inhibit the government’s ability to govern the people, we should look to limit those guarantees. –Bill Clinton in an August 12, 1993 speech.
And what my constitutional values are are wholly irrelevant to the job, and so neither you nor anyone else will know what they are. –Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan
For the bureaucrat, the world is a mere object to be manipulated by him. –Karl Marx
We live in a dirty and dangerous world. There are some things the general public does not need to know, and shouldn’t. I believe democracy flourishes when the government can take legitimate steps to keep its secrets and when the press can decide whether to print what it knows.” ~ Katherine Graham, Publisher of the Washington Post, in a speech to CIA recruits, 1988
In Marx’s statement above, the key word is manipulated.  The Constitution loving American public has been manipulated and marginalized. (We have been relegated to an unimportant or powerless position within society).  Let me explain, and give a few examples.
Example 1
Writing letters to your congress criminals nearly always results in a form letter non-answer.  Here is the typical canned response I constantly receive from Senator Bob Corker of Tennessee:

Thank you for taking the time to email me to share your thoughts and concerns.
I want you to know that we read every single letter and e-mail that is sent to us in order to best understand the issues that are important to you. It is our commitment to respond to your input as thoughtfully and efficiently as possible. I meet with my staff regularly to discuss the issues raised in correspondence like yours and will be back in touch with a more thorough response soon.
Thank you again for your email. I hope you will continue to share your thoughts with me.

I rarely receive the more thorough responses from him and even if he writes again, he never answers the question of where he stands on the issue.  This is marginalization!
Example 2
Have you ever attended your county commission meetings or city council meetings?  If so, you know they’ll often give those in attendance an opportunity to speak on a particular subject that is up for a vote by the commission.  Last year I attended an important meeting on the county budget proposed by our county Mayor, Tim Burchett.  The School Superintendent, Eli Broad graduate from Boston, James McIntyre (See my two part article, The Deliberate Destruction of Education in Tennessee)  was again asking for $35 million more for the schools.  They already receive 62% of the yearly budget.  Forty-five people were there to speak and instead of the normal five minutes allotted, we were all given only 3 minutes.  I watched from the audience prior to getting up to give my little speech for the Mayor’s budget, and the majority of the commissioners were looking at their computers or their phones.  Only a few paid attention.  The following day a picture of the proceedings appeared in the Knoxville Metro pulse, and was taken from behind the commissioners looking out into the audience.  You could see many of the commissioners were busy on their computers.  Oh, and by the way, the newspaper called me a conspiracy theorist because I spoke the truth about what is being done to our children through government education.
We were not important.  What we were saying was not important.  Their minds were already made up.  This is marginalization!
Example 3
Two years ago we fought what is called Knoxville/Knox County Hillside/Ridgetop Plan.  This is Smart Growth from Agenda 21. See my two part article, Planning Commissions, Smart Growth, and Land Use.  This plan lays vast restrictions on development in both the City and County of Knoxville.  The plan proposed a Hillside and Ridge top Protection Area made up of property across the county of at least five acres in size and a grade of 15 percent or greater. (It would also include flatter property on ridge tops.) But the National Green average grade is 22 percent or greater, yet the Task Force has gone even lower! Here are the progressive maps showing the evolution of the HS/RT Protection Plan and affected land. The first map is a 40% slope on ridge tops only, the second is a map showing a 30% or greater slope, and the third map shows a 15% or greater slope. For an area like ours, this plan almost totally restricts development in the County.  Also, check out the maps on the website of the Hillside/Ridgetop Protection Plan!
So, of course the Knox County Commission had several meetings where this plan was discussed over several years, and those of us who are wise to Smart Growth attended.  When it came down to a vote with an amendment attached that would make the plan advisory only, the audience was packed.  Yet the Knoxville/Knox County Metropolitan Planning Commission (unelected council) is fully implementing this entire plan.  Under “goals” in the Growth Plan on the MPC website, is this statement, “Encourage a pattern of compact and contiguous development to be guided into urban areas and planned growth areas.” That, my friends, is Smart Growth!
Needless to say, there were countless adversaries of this plan within the audience at these County Commission meetings.  The rudeness of many of the Commissioners was quite evident.  They even were whispering amongst themselves while citizens were speaking to them from the podium.  This isn’t just being uncouth folks, this is marginalization!
Example 4
How many functions have you attended where you have been told you may ask questions of the speaker or the group?  I’ve been to several and came fully prepared every time with my questions.  There is no attendant with the microphone going through the audience to those with questions.  Instead, you write your questions down on a 3 x 5 card and give them to the attendants to carry to the front and ask of the guests. Of course, your entire question is totally changed.  Let me give you a recent example.
Here are the four of us gals who went to hear Education Czar Arne Duncan speak at the University of Tennessee, Kathleen Marquardt, Karen Bracken, Kelleigh Nelson, and Sally Absher.
Yesterday, April 3, 2013, the four of us pictured above attended the speech given my Obama’s education Czar, Arne Duncan at the University of Tennessee.  Here is the question I wrote down on the 3 x 5 card:

How can private schools remain independent once they have accepted federal funding through vouchers/choice? The law reads: In March, 1984, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that private schools are subject to government regulations because they enroll students who receive tuition money from the government. Even though the checks are payable to individual students, not the school, the Court says any scholarships, loans, or grants to students “constitute federal financial assistance.” And (11)Continuing in the same direction, on January 28, 1988, the U.S. Senate (July 9, 1990).

Here is the question they asked Secretary Arne Duncan from my question:

Secretary Duncan, what do you think of vouchers?

This, my friends, is purposeful and programmed marginalization!
In another situation, when we attended all the Plan ET Smart Growth forums held last year in the five county “region,” we were not allowed to ask questions, because we were told it would disrupt the flow of the program.  If we did raise our hands to ask a question during a presentation, we were told the questions would be answered later out in the hall away from the program.  That was marginalization!
Arne DuncanHere is a Knoxville teacher with a great protest sign at Secretary Arne Duncan’s speech at the University of Tennessee.
Marginalizing the informed electorate is the way they inhibit any influence we have on our elected officials.  We no longer count.  These elected officials and politicians are no longer servants of the electorate.  They have an agenda and their marching orders.  The majority of the public is unaware of what is happening in their county commission meetings, town and city council meetings, and their local and state governments.  And most citizens don’t care.  This is evident by the few letters or phone calls these “servants” receive. It is also quite evident by the number of people who attend these meetings.
As I explained in my recent article, Smart Growth and Stealth Zoning, in a town of over 20,000 citizens, only about 20 people attended a very important council meeting.  In a five county “region” of all the Plan ET Smart Growth forums, only about 100 knowledgeable people attended all seven of the Series Two meetings.  Our combined population is 700,000.  No one really cares, no one pays attention, no one has time.  Is it any wonder these elected and appointed officials feel they can easily marginalize us?  We have been relegated to an unimportant or powerless position in society.
What can we do about it?  We have to find our backbones and chutzpah!  And if we don’t, we will continue to lose, and then we might as well join the ranks of the brain dead watching Dancing with the Stars and Survivor.  Do not let them tell you what you can and can’t do.  Don’t be cowed by their rules.  We are their bosses.  Do not let them make the rules for us!  I know you will risk being ejected by police from these meetings.  I know you’ll risk embarrassment and confrontation from others.  I know it’s difficult to be the one who creates a “scene.”  But we can do it!
Where two or more are gathered in agreement, there is power.  When one raises their hand and stands and says, “I want to ask a question without filling out a 3 x 5 card,” another has to stand and do the same thing, and then another, and another, and another.  Where the hell is the courage, bravery, and backbone of America that made this country great?  Act together, decide your attack, above all, pray without ceasing…do it now…or forever be marginalized and powerless.

“The goal of this comprehensive plan is to make sure our city is affordable and competitive. We can make the most efficient use of our tax dollars if we plan carefully instead of letting things happen chaotically.” -American Planning Association
“Human habitation as it is referred to now is restricted to lands within the Urban Growth Boundaries of the city. Only certain building designs are permitted. Rural property is more and more restricted on what uses can be on it.” -Rosa Koire, Behind the Green Mask
In East Tennessee, the UN Agenda 21 Smart Growth plan is the five county local “Regional ” program called Plan East Tennessee (Regional Plan for Livable Communities), a plan which will eliminate private property rights in these five counties. (Link) It is the plan for Smart Growth.
The City of Knoxville applied for a federal grant from Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office of Sustainable Housing and Communities, while Governor Bill Haslam, a Republican, was Mayor of the City of Knoxville. Link

HaslamTennessee Gov. Bill Haslam (R)

These grants, part of the Obama administration’s Partnership for Sustainable Communities, bring together HUD, Department of Energy, the Department of Transportation, and the Environmental Protection Agency. Two types of grants were awarded — those to update existing plans, and those to develop sustainability plans from scratch.  Knoxville’s Plan ET is from scratch and Knoxville received $4.32 million from the HUD grant.  Another $2.5 million came from a Consortium of partners which includes non-profits.  (As an aside, the Knoxville Utilities Board, KUB, received a $3.6 million grant from DOE, Department of Energy, to install smart meters.)
The Architectural firm, Wallace, Roberts, and Todd, (WRT), headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the Plan ET partner chosen to head the forums.  They were paid $1.7 million to accomplish the pre-determined outcome of these forums through facilitation of the Delphi Technique.  The Metropolitan Planning Commission (MPC), another unelected commission, has $1,591,000 of the HUD/Plan ET monies in their account as of June 14, 2012.  Another $100,000 was given to the MPC for the costs of the forum locations and refreshments.  This leaves approximately $3.4 million in the City of Knoxville’s coffers, it is believed, since they are the ones who’d applied for the grant.
Governor Haslam has proven he is an EPA, Agenda 21 proponent, not only by allowing the application for the Smart Growth grant from HUD, but by his actions since becoming governor. Haslam has also refused to sign a resolution against Agenda 21, even though a Resolution has absolutely no binding power of law.  Link
In my previous article on NewsWithViews, “Mind Control and Smart Growth,” I explained that Knoxville is also a dues paying member of ICLEI since 2007.  From Tom DeWeese’s article, “Agenda 21 in One Easy Lesson” on ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability (formally, International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives): “Communities pay ICLEI dues to provide “local” community plans, software, training, etc. Additional groups include American Planning Association, The Renaissance Planning Group, International City/ County Management Group, aided by US Mayors Conference, National Governors Association, National League of Cities, National Association of County Administrators and many more private organizations and official government agencies. The Foundation and government grants drive the process.”
On Thursday, March 21st, 2013, three of us attended a meeting of the Farragut City Council. About 20 people were in the audience at this meeting. The 2010 Census recorded 20,689 population for Farragut, which is part of Knox County.  Knox County is the largest of the five counties in Plan ET Smart Growth with a population of nearly 500,000.  Total population in the five county “region” of Plan ET is 700,000.  Obviously, very few people in the area go to their council or commission meetings, and this is where the damage is done to our freedoms.
The first person that spoke was Matt Barney, the developer of 52 acres, and he kept expounding on the Green Spaces they were developing, with fruit trees and gardens. He stated his whole development was a “green community.”  According to the zoning laws of the Town of Farragut, 35% of any development now has to be given over to green space.  For this developer, that means 17.74 acres of this 52 acre development.  It was originally 96 home sites, but was reworked to be 49 home sites for more “green space.”
So, developers in the Town of Farragut must give up more than one-third of their property for “green space” rather than building homes on all of the property they’ve purchased.  How would you like to buy a piece of land you intend to use, but then be told by the local politicians that more than one-third of that land cannot be used for the purpose you desire.  Just a little fascism sprinkled in for enjoyment.
Check out Farragut’s Planning Division.  The Division has their own Vision 2025 Smart Growth project, and they’ve already implemented bike lanes in their community.  They even have a Code Enforcement Division that reviews all commercial, office, and residential construction plans, grants permits and sets fees, does inspections and licensing and fees for plumbing/gas and mechanical contractors.  None of this sounds onerous.  However, once Smart Growth is part of the City’s plan, all of this can become draconian in nature. It is happening via zoning and codes by these council and commission members. Remember, this is a very small community of 21,000 people.  Yet, here is Smart Growth, which is in nearly every small town and city in the country.
After the council meeting, there were perhaps a dozen people left.  A presentation by the Knoxville Metropolitan Planning Commission regarding Plan ET was scheduled for the council members.  Three of the ten members left, so the presentation was given to the seven who were left.
Jeff Welch, Knoxville’s Regional Transportation Planning Organization Director, was there along with Metropolitan Planning Commission‘s, GIS (Geographical Information Services) manager, Tim Kuhn, to present the results of the Plan ET Smart Growth project thus far.  (GIS is the mapping of all the counties’ properties.) Tim Kuhn actually used the Delphi Technique on the Town Council members, just as was done at the Plan ET Forums we attended in 2012.  The council members were asked questions about the community, but were provided only multiple choice answers from which to choose. This was to decide what was important to them for their community and how it should “grow” in the next 30 years.  Most of the people on the council will not even be here in 30 years.  During his presentation, Tim Kuhn made the statement that 500 people in this five county “region” had given their “input” at the two series of Plan ET forums regarding what was important to them for their communities in the next 28 years.  So, from a population of 700,000 people, 500 people are deciding our future, without an election, by unelected members of the Metropolitan Planning Commission, and the architectural firm, skilled in the Delphi Technique, (video) who was hired to help them with the predetermined outcome.  Link
At the 2012 series forums, where the “public” was invited, the majority of those present were local government employees who had a vested interest in seeing these Smart Growth plans accomplished.  If those of us against UN Agenda 21 Smart Growth had not attended the forums, the only people giving “community input” would be the invited government shills.  Since they have a vested interest in Smart Growth they shouldn’t have even been voting at these Delphi meetings as it is a conflict of interest!  At one meeting, one of the invitees admitted she was a paid participant.  Of course!  They were all paid to go because they worked for the city, the county, the university, Oak Ridge National Laboratories, etc.
The Farragut Council was then told the results, all of which were scripted for their pre-determined outcome via their use of Rand Corporation’s mind-control Delphi Technique.  RAND developed the Delphi method in the 1950s for the U.S. Department of Defense.  It was originally intended for use as a psychological weapon during the cold war.  Remember, these people from the MPC and Wallace, Roberts, and Todd, also went into schools and used this same “exercise” on children who are not taxpayers!
Kuhn stated the community challenges were, lack of good jobs, highways and side roads needing repair, more public transportation, empty commercial buildings, improved education, protection of natural resources, and drug abuse problems.  He asked the Council members to rate these problems in how the region responds to same.  Kuhn stated the desire was to get people closer to their jobs, more transportation and transit services, more housing for the elderly in urban areas, and to contain “sprawl.”  Instead of population expanding further out in rural communities, he suggested their “results” from the forums stated this needs to be changed.
The entire meeting continued with how the “region” would grow in the next 30 years. Kuhn then discussed the different “regional growth” concepts and went through several different scenarios. He said this is “how we’ll grow and what the range of alternatives will be.”  He explained that these concepts came from the 500 people questioned in the Plan ET forums and then repeated almost word for word what is on the Plan ET website.
1.  The first “Trend concept” is “Business as Usual” – the way East Tennessee been growing for the last 30 years.  Kuhn states this is a “kind of grow out” in suburban areas pattern, following major roads, mostly suburban apartments and suburban single family home neighborhoods, and private vehicles are needed.
2.  The “Spread Out” or “Grow Everywhere” pattern – closer to nature, more rural, embraces that growth can occur everywhere in the “region.”  Growth occurs mainly in suburban and rural areas, with minimal growth in the region’s cities and towns. New development is car-friendly and grows primarily into undeveloped areas. New homes are largely developed in suburban neighborhoods and on rural lots that were once farmland and open space.
3.  Corridors – growing along the regions highways, interstates, and major roads, in more of a linear form, keeping employment in the same areas as shopping, and outside of these areas is suburban housing, different types of subdivisions, and apartments.
4. Centers Concept – The centers concept focuses on growing the region’s cities and towns, as well as creating identity in today’s suburban places by redeveloping aging commercial areas with both businesses, homes and adjacent neighborhoods that are a short walk or bike ride away.  Regional transit connects the centers and local transit is improved.
5. Cities and Towns Concept – Literally using the cities and towns in the regions where most of the growth would occur in a reinvestment and redevelopment of the cities and towns.  Using some of the corridor concept to have more compact shopping, employment, neighborhood development, and other forms of housing which is smaller and within closer proximity to business/shopping/etc.  Also bigger investments in local transit with high frequency transit moving throughout the most populace parts of the region.  Creating an environment that is supportive of a variety of ways of getting around (car, bike, walk and transit).
All the above scenarios sound pretty innocuous, don’t they?  The final plans however, intend the elimination of private vehicles and travel to be only by local transit, bike, or your feet, and you will live in high density housing.  How do they accomplish these goals?  Zoning, annexation (Babelay Farm in Knoxville), codes, taxes, etc. ad nauseum, are all accomplished through your local county commission, and city or town councils.  The local planning commission people are unelected…they are appointed.  In Knoxville, the City appoints seven members and the County appoints 8 members to the Metropolitan Planning Commission.  We cannot get rid of them because they are not elected!
The propaganda campaign to keep us in the dark starts with the American Planning Association (APA). From page 34, of APA’s, “The Planning Commissioner’s Guide,” A number of communities across the country have integrated sustainability into their Comprehensive Plans.  Examples include:

Here are some links to Smart Growth high density housing in Issaquah, WAPasadena, CA;  High Density housing developed by the Puget Sound Cottage Housing Development Zoning Ordinance; Harrison, NJDel Mar, CA; Pasadena, CA; and dozens more.
If you want to stop the takeover of our property, culture and freedoms by the United Nations Agenda 21/Smart Growth/Sustainability, you need information.    Here are important resistance sites and information, and here is a special report on Sustainable Development by the American Policy Center.
How many people are attending their local council and commission meetings?  This is where it all happens people! Are you sitting at home thinking someone else will go and protect your rights?  Are you thinking it won’t happen in your lifetime? It’s here!  It’s happening NOW!  If you want to retain your God given liberties, you’d better get off your fannies and get down to these meetings, and find out what’s going on in your community.  Familiarize yourself!
Like the developer who had to give up 35% of his purchased land for “green space,” how much land are you willing to give up that already belongs to you?  Guess what?!  They’re going to incrementally take all your land, all 100% of it, and it’s happening right now!  Are you ready to give up everything you’ve worked for all your lives? It will be too late when you are marched off to the FEMA camps.  Either you put forth some effort now, just as our founders did then, or you’re just as guilty as the perpetrators.

Constitutional Convention Call Redux – Part 3

Several states are now passing calls for a Constitutional Convention again. The Compact for America (a nasty bunch) is pushing for a new Constitutional Convention in Dallas this July 4, 2013.
We are in extreme danger of losing our entire Constitution.
To warn us, a new member of FOTM’s team, Kelleigh, has written a sobering well-researched 4-part series about the dangers inherent in a Constitutional Convention, and about the specific dangers of the nice-sounding but oh-so-deceptive Balanced Budget Amendment.
Below is Part 3 of Kelleigh’s “Constitutional Convention Call Redux.” Go here for Part 1, and here for Part 2. Please spread the word: Tweet, email, and link this on your Facebook page!

Odysseus and the SirensOdysseus and the Sirens, by John William Waterhouse (1891)

Part 3

by Kelleigh Nelson

James Madison himself, father of the Constitution, warned against convening a second constitutional convention. When he learned that New York and Virginia were actively calling for an Article V convention in 1788, just months after ratification of the Constitution, he was horrified. He counseled: “If a General Convention were to take place for the avowed and sole purpose of revising the Constitution, it would naturally consider itself as having a greater latitude than the Congress…. It would consequently give greater agitation to the public mind; an election into it would be courted by the most violent partisans on both sides … [and] would no doubt contain individuals of insidious views, who, under the mask of seeking alterations popular in some parts … might have the dangerous opportunity of sapping the very foundations of the fabric….”
There are numerous organizations promoting a Constitutional Convention under the guise of a Balanced Budget Amendment.  Tom DeWeese wrote about the 10 Amendments for Freedom, Inc, chaired by William Fruth, President of POLICOM Corporation.  He covered this in his articles, “Powerful Forces Calling for a Constitutional Convention,” and “Constitutional Convention Cannot be Controlled.
Back in 1995, model resolutions for the Conference of States (COS) came from the National Council of State Legislators (NCSL), the organization that indoctrinates liberal (mostly Democratic) legislators, just as American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) does the conservatives (Republicans). The NCSL is presently backing the internet sales tax, and the rotten E-Verify.
ALEC passed a resolution supporting the COS resolution, and Republicans joined the fray. Thankfully, the 1995 attempt was defeated, again because patriots were alert. (As  an aside, the Governor of New Mexico was then Gary Johnson, Libertarian Candidate for President in the 2012 race, and he backed the COS resolution.)
The NCSL (National Conference of State Legislators), NCM (National Conference of Mayors), NGA (National Governors Association) just to name a few – are adjuncts of the Council of State Governments (CSG).  The original COS was billed as a plan by Governors Michael Leavitt of Utah and Ben Nelson of Kansas, but it became clear from a 1987 Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations (ACIR) and (CSG) paper that in reality the Governors were merely delivery boys for the scheme led by the Rockefeller founded Council of State Governments.  The United States ACIR was terminated in September, 1996, but nearly every state has its own ACIR.
Paul Weyrich’s ALEC, (American Legislative Exchange Council) backed the COS.  ALEC boasts nearly 3,000 conservative legislative and corporate members, and has been strongly pushing a Con-Con for decades.
The CSG is a private, international organization funded originally with Rockefeller money through the Spelman Fund (John D. Rockefeller’s wife, Laura Spelman) (see CSG’s Book of the States Volume I – 1935) and currently receives millions of dollars from states’ dues – our tax dollars. As early as 1935, the CSG had already called for gun control and the creation of 10 REGIONS for America. Today, America has 10 Federal Regions from which the federal government controls our money and therefore our states, counties, townships and municipalities. Regionalism is Communism!  The money from the block grants coming into the states is fed into the Federal Regional Planning Commissions, HUD, HEW, EPA, Departments of Labor, Commerce, DOE, etc., which in turn doles it out to our local governments in return for their “obedience” in passing whatever laws and ordinances the federal planners dictate (think Agenda 21, Smart Growth). If they do not comply, money is withheld until they do.
Here we are, eighteen years later, and they’re still at it. In this present assault on our Constitution the roles are reversed: ALEC wrote the model resolution; and the NCSL is solidly behind the scheme, as indicated by the letter that was sent to every Governor, Senate President, and House Speaker in this country by Florida Senator Jeff Atwater, from the NCSL. So, let’s take a closer look at ALEC.

American Legislative Exchange Council

The subject of ALEC deserves a three-part article alone, but for the sake of brevity, we’ll just give an overview.  ALEC was founded in 1973 by Paul Weyrich, Grand Poobah of the secretive Council for National Policy, founder of Free Congress Foundation, and the Heritage Foundation.  ALEC is a corporate bill mill. It’s not just a lobby or front group, ALEC is one of the most powerful unelected councils in the country. Link
Corporations hand to state legislators their “wish lists” of legislation to benefit their bottom lines. The membership of ALEC is 98% corporate and the corporate membership is the one that funds almost all of ALEC’s operations. They have bought their way into the process by which corporate lobbyists and special interest reps vote with elected officials to approve “model” bills. ALEC’s legislative leaders are responsible for getting the bills introduced and passed. They introduce and carry the bills in their statehouses as their own brilliant ideas. As an example, the immigration bill, SB1070, was written by ALEC and carried by Russell Pearce, word for word, to Arizona. Private prison corporations had a huge part in ALEC’s crafting of SB1070.
Richard Mellon Scaife has allegedly funded ALEC to the tune of more than 7 million dollars. One must remember that Scaife funds both sides of the aisle and is connected to Rockefeller (Chase Mellon Bank). Scaife also had a full page ad in the WSJ stating why it was so important for taxpayers to fund Planned Parenthood and what they do for American women. The danger in the ALEC organization is that its leadership apparently wants to rewrite our Constitution, and they claim a membership of 2,500 plus of our 7,500 legislators. Members of ALEC even include the Church of Scientology, which has spoken at ALEC meetings.
Sometime in the mid-1990s, the Church of Scientology became one of ALEC’s underwriters, for the apparent purpose of interacting with state lawmakers on mental health-care issues. Here’s an excerpt from a 1998 fundraising letter written by Bruce Wiseman, the president of the Citizens Commission on Human Rights International, (CCHR) a highly controversial anti-psychiatry front-group of the Church of Scientology. Wiseman writes. “ALEC is a national organization made up of legislators from every state as well as some federal legislators who meet and draft model legislation for every state. The return for that has been enormous! CCHR has worked its way up the conditions at ALEC and recently got an article published by ALEC in opposition to mandated mental-health parity, which went to key state legislators who deal with health issues in their respective states. In addition, the ALEC membership has opened the door to meeting numerous legislators and other opinion leaders from around the country.”
The legislators never disclose that corporations wrote and vetted these bills along with fellow politicians behind closed doors at ALEC meetings. So, everyone who is a member of ALEC is influencing not only state bills, but likely most federal bills as well, written by corporations with vested interests — along with lobbyists and state representatives.
ALEC is a long time supporter of a Constitutional Convention. A 43 page handbook, written by Robert G. Natelson, entitled: Proposing Constitutional Amendments by a Convention of the States,” was provided to their mostly-republican members, along with model legislation to carry back to their states. The booklet is full of spins, lies, and misdirection.  It claims the states must exercise control as given to them by the founders, that they must move quickly, that state legislatures will have complete control over the process, and will answer to the state legislatures they represent.  This is far from the truth.  As we discussed and made clear in Part 1 of this article, there is no provision in Article V empowering state legislators to choose the delegates to a Constitutional Convention or to “limit” the scope of a Con-Con. There are no rules, no regulations, and certainly no instructions.

Henry Hazlitt

hazlittHenry Hazlitt, American economist, (1894-1993), was the former economic advisor to pro-Constitutional Convention, National Taxpayer’s Union (NTU), headed by James Dale Davidson.  Davidson’s NTU was instrumental in promoting a Con-Con in the early 80s and he claimed he gave $100,000 every year to the cause.  Hazlitt was a renowned conservative, and he wrote a book which he republished in 1974 called, “A New Constitution Now.”  This book makes the argument for replacing America’s presidential system of government with a parliamentary one resembling Great Britain’s.  I thought we fought a revolutionary war to escape that form of government!

Back in 1992, when Ross Perot came on the scene, he was gung-ho for a Con-Con.  He stated emphatically that we needed a parliamentary government (same as ALEC’s founder, Paul Weyrich) and bragged that “his people” could get the remaining states needed for a Con-Con “in their sleep.”  Thank God, we found out and it was stopped.
Hazlitt’s book is extremely dangerous inasmuch as Hazlitt states things like, “an amendment could be proposed that would strike out everything after “We the people,” and that, of course, includes the Bill of Rights. He was suggesting that everything after “We the people” on down be scrapped and rewritten, which is amazing, as this document has provided more human dignity and freedom for more people than any other in recorded history.
Other suggested improvements by Hazlitt include making it easier to amend our Constitution by adopting the Swiss and Australian procedure.  Another would be to restrict Presidents to a single term. A third would be to abolish the office of Vice President.  A fourth would reconstitute the Supreme Court, with each governor appointing a justice with the approval of his state legislature.  (Think about that with these neo-conservative Trotskyite governors we have on the right, like Tennessee’s Haslam, and the full-blown communists on the left, like New York’s Cuomo.)  The neo-conservative Trotskyite rightwing loved Hazlitt and still quote him.
In the final Part 4 of this series, we’ll discuss Rexford Guy Tugwell, and the Newstates Constitution. Tugwell was a man far ahead of his time.  He deplored private property rights, declared our 1787 Constitution to be outmoded and archaic, and would have loved United Nations Agenda 21/Smart Growth/Sustainability.
In fact, in 1938 Tugwell was appointed as the first director of the New York City Planning Commission. New York’s reformist mayor, Fiorello LaGuardia, created the commission as part of a city charter reform aimed at reducing corruption and inefficiency. The Planning Commission had relatively limited powers – all actions needed approval from the legislative Board of Estimate. Rexford Tugwell tried to assert the commission’s power. He tried to retroactively enforce nonconforming land uses, despite a lack of public or legal support. His commission sought to establish public housing at moderate densities, yet repeatedly approved FHA requests for greater density. Robert Moses killed Tugwell’s proposed fifty-year master plan with a fiery public denouncement of its open space protections.  Link
Tugwell’s book, The Emerging Constitution,” makes it clear where he stood.  He states on page 593, “The other considerable change (to the Constitution) is the consolidation of states into fewer, and it is hoped, more effective regional groupings, thus at last organizing as one system rather than a confused fifty.”
Also on page 593 is this statement about the proposed Newstates constitution, “It will be noticed that the general emphasis on the protection of individuals from the exercise of governmental powers has been supplemented with a list of responsibilities.”

Agenda 21: Heroic Ann Bressington, Australian MP – Names the NWO Gang

It’s been an amazing year in the fight against the UN Agenda 21-Sustainable Development juggernaut.  As public awareness has grown through the efforts of citizen activists from both sides of the political spectrum, political parties and legislators are taking a stand.  You can find the  anti-Agenda 21 legislation here,
They’re fighting it in Australia, too.  Member of Parliament, Ann Bressington, spells out the totalitarian plan chronologically and names the names of the perpetrators  quoting NWO boy, George H.W. Bush, ” There will be a profound reorientation of all human activity.”

In the face of the pushback by average citizens and legislators, the UN-USA Executive Director, Patrick Madden, posted an article in March, 2012 calling the people taking a stand against  UN Agenda 21 conspiracy theory wackos and called supporters of Agenda 21 “… we do need to be vocal and vigorous in defense of the UN to ensure the facts are set straight and our message is heard. You can do this by speaking at city council meetings or writing a Letter to the Editor and op-ed, specifically tailored to debunking the Agenda 21.”
It’s going to be an uphill battle for the UN boys.  It’s hard to debunk a conspiracy when videos of United Nations strongman Maurice Strong, reveals himself as a conspirator in pushing the true agenda behind Agenda 21.

Agenda 21 Fighting Toolkit – Alert from Charlotte Iserbyt

I’ve been in touch with Charlotte Iserbyt regarding the recent paperback reprinting of her definitive book, The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America” (used copies of the original hardback sell  on Amazon for $151.00 and up) documenting the purposeful destruction of American education necessary for acceptance of World Government.  The Department of Education has been one of the key components implementing Agenda 21.
Her colleague and researcher, Debbie Niwa, has just completed compilation of the ultimate tool to fight Agenda 21.  It details every bill intoduced into Congress relating to “Sustainable Development” aka Agenda 21.  Would you believe it started in 1987, five years before the Earth Summit in Rio?   Every Tea Party and group fighting Agenda 21 needs this in their arsenal of incriminating documents!  ~LTG   Continue reading

Agenda 21- America 2050 Alert from Rosa Koire

Just received this email alert from Rosa Koire, the author of “Behind the Green Mask.”   Be sure to check out the link America 2050 link below to learn what the “Knowledge Corridor” mega-region is.        -LTG
You are witnessing a plan that is taking place all across the United
States NOW.  It has many names but it’s the same plan. UN Agenda
21/Sustainable Development: Sustainable Cities Strategy.  It is a
regional plan that creates unelected boards of elected officials who
are engaged in erasing the boundaries between cities, counties, and
states.  You are losing your ability to influence your government
policies at the same time that you are being solicited for your
opinion. It’s a tactic to placate you. This is the Delphi method of
manipulating groups and controlling populations that may protest. By
2050, or sooner, there will be 11 Mega-Regions in the United States
that include parts of Mexico and Canada.  Local and state boundaries
and jurisdictions will be dissolved. This is not a delusional rant.
This is a fact.  Go to www.America2050.org
What are these plans called?  Your government is using similar names
for all of these plans and they are all the same: Regional.  They are
being rolled out NOW.  The adoption date is MID-2013.  ALL OVER THE
US.  Most of us are unaware that the plan we are fighting is the same
plan, with minor variations, being imposed in the name of reducing
greenhouse gas emissions, expanding public transportation, and funding
low-income housing.  All plans include Smart Growth–high density
housing with restrictions on personal space and car usage.  All plans
support high speed trains–the building block of Mega-Regions.  All
plans give power to regional transportation and planning boards (MPOs
and COGs) through federal and state fund disbursements.  In all plans
housing and transportation are now linked.  In all plans population
projections are hugely inflated.  All plans will go forward as
planned.  This is a planning revolution.
Here are just a few plans around the country using the word “VISION” a
UN Agenda 21 buzz word.  Other plan names use variants on the
sustainability jargon.  There are thousands of these plans and they
all have a goal of transformation–a jargon term for destruction.
    * One Valley One Vision (you’ll find this in Santa Clarita Valley,
CA; Montana; and Dona  Ana County/Las Cruces New Mexico
    * Nine Counties, One Vision (Tennessee)
    * One Region One Vision (New York, and Indiana)
    * Our Florida Our Vision
    * One Bay Area (SF Bay Area–9 counties)
    * Six Towns One Vision (Lycoming County)
    * Five Counties One Vision (Minnesota)
    * Four States One Vision (Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas)
We need to use civil disobedience.  Refuse to accept these plans.
They are not YOUR plan.  They are destroying our government and
installing a new regime.  This is UN Agenda 21/Sustainable
Development/ICLEI.  Educate yourself and others.  This is war.  Join
us at Democrats Against UN Agenda 21 in fighting for our freedom.
Not on our watch.
Awareness is the first step in the Resistance.

Action is the second step.

"Those Diabolical Tea Partiers Ruin Our Meetings" Cries Urban Planner

Disrupting the Delphi Technique is Working

The following are small excerpts from a much longer article by an Urban Planner -Smart Growth guru complaining about how the Tea Party is ruining everything!

I highly recommend reading it as a quick pick-me-up for those discouraged in the Agenda 21 battle.    There are tons of sassy comments from ornery tea partiers!   ~LTG

How the Tea Party Is Upending Urban Planning

…Across the country, Tea Party activists have been storming planning meetings of all kinds, opposing various plans by local and regional government having anything to do with density, smart growth, sustainability or urbanism. In California, Tea Party activists gained enough signatures for a ballot measure repealing the state’s baseline environmental regulations, while also targeting the Senate Bill 375, the 2008 law that seeks to combat climate change by promoting density and regional planning.
…We’ve spent a lot of time and effort on fostering civic engagement, through a program for mediating land use disputes, or helping community residents visualize future scenarios. Since Jacobs, giving people a voice has been paramount in planning. Local Tea Party leaders attack those kinds of efforts as a ruse – that planners have draped the public process with the trappings of citizen input, while in fact all the decisions to promote smart growth have already been made. Some might wonder whether there’s some truth to that.
Yet, as in national politics, the Tea Party view doesn’t leave room for compromise. Even the most open-minded and free-speech supporting planner can’t operate when the framework for the dialogue itself has been invalidated. Where does one go from there? The skirmishes at town halls around the country over the past year or so means that planners will have to try even harder to make their case. But in the mean time, the chairman of that sleepy planning board hearing might be eying the exits, looking for a black helicopter, to make a run for it.       Full Article
