Feckless: Samantha Bee says President Trump should be ashamed of behavior to hack Jim Acosta

From Hollywood Reporter: Sam Bee broke down the “mixed bag” of Tuesday’s midterm election on her 100th show Wednesday night, highlighting the Democrats’ re-taking of the House of Representatives and bemoaning the re-elections of Rep. Steve King and Rep. Duncan Hunter.

The Full Frontal host also addressed the spat that CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta and President Trump had during a press conference on the midterms earlier in the day. During the fight, Trump told Acosta, “CNN should be ashamed of itself having you working for them.”

“No, we should be ashamed of you working for us,” Bee countered. “Oh my god! You are at work. This is behavior that would have gotten me fired from Tim Horton’s and they didn’t even fire me for turning their donuts into bongs.”

She later narrated the interior monologue of the press aide who tried to take the microphone away from Acosta, who held on. The aide later backed off and kneeled so as not to be in the way of cameras. “I hate this job so much, It’s horrible, and … plié,” Bee said.

At the top of Wednesday’s show, the Full Frontal host addressed the news that Attorney General Jeff Sessions had resigned earlier that day at the request of President Trump, an expected shift after the midterms. “He wanted to leave to spend more time doing what he loves most — racism,” Bee joked.

Bee proceeded to tick off some of the positive outcomes of the election, including the fact that the Democrat-majority House will be in charge of the House Intelligence Committee and therefore be responsible for Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 election. She also said Rep. Maxine Waters, a favorite to chair the House Financial Services Committee, “can subpoena the f*ck out of Trump’s tax returns.”

More importantly, Bee, added, addressing the GOP, “You can kiss your wall goodbye. Democrats are not going to give you an inch.” She then played a clip of Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi praising a bipartisan approach to solving issues. “Guys?” she joked.

In other highlights Bee mentioned, the 2018 midterms ushered in a record number of women to serve in Congress and Florida passed Amendment 4, returning the right to vote to felons. “So I’m going to say something I rarely get to say: Good job Florida,” Bee joked.

Still: “I have to admit, I was a little disappointed in the size of the blue wave,” Bee said, noting that Democrats only gained 23 seats in the House. She also added in downsides to the night’s results that Rep. Steve King of Iowa and Rep. Duncan Hunter of California, who have both been accused of racism, were re-elected.

Bee concluded, “Last night was a mixed bag, but overall we should take it as a win” given the gerrymandering and voter suppression that Bee said was hurting the Democrats.

Later in her program, Bee also praised the campaign of Democrat Georgia Gov. candidate Stacey Abrams, who has called for a runoff in her fight against Brian Kemp, and listed “Bullshit we won’t forget” that included dirty tactics and off-color statements form Republican candidates during the election season.

Suck it Hollyweird: Ratings for 2018 Emmy Awards hit all-time low

From Fox News: Hollywood may have laughed when Emmys host Michael Che said the only white people who thank Jesus are “Republicans and ex-crackheads,” but Tinseltown’s latest middle finger to Middle America fell flat in flyover country, and may have contributed to the telecast’s all-time low viewership.

Co-host Michael Che left many viewers of the 70th Annual Emmy Awards upset during the opening monologue with his fellow “Saturday Night Live” star Colin Jost, explaining that his mother would not be watching the show on Monday night.

“She says she doesn’t like watching white award shows because you guys don’t thank Jesus enough,” Che said. “That’s true. The only white people that thank Jesus are Republicans and ex-crackheads.

The joke didn’t sit well with some viewers, who took to Twitter to complain. Not only that, the show’s ratings dropped 10 percent from last year’s already-dismal numbers, setting an all-time low, according to TheWrap.

While many viewers may have changed the channel after the opening monologue, jabs at average Americans were far from over and the Jesus gag became a running theme throughout the evening.

Conservative strategist Chris Barron told Fox News that “large swaths of the American public just want to be entertained” but instead were turned into “unwilling participants” in a political rally disguised as an awards show.

“Whether it’s the NFL or the Emmys, people desperately want a break from politics. It’s amazing to me at just how tone deaf Hollywood is,” Barron said.

“Most Republicans have stopped watching awards shows or know that even if they can stomach it, the White House and their core values will be attacked. I kept thinking last night, thank goodness for a few actors like Chris Pratt, who buck the trend and show a healthy respect and love for Christianity in acceptance speeches,” Fox Nation host Britt McHenry said. “Reverence for God is something to cherish and uphold, not ridicule.”

Jokes about religious Republicans weren’t the only jabs at Middle America.

Prior to the official event, actress Regina King spoke with E! about a cryptic Instagram post in which she asked to “stop making stupid people famous,” which many have interpreted as a dig at President Trump. The Red Carpet also featured actress Jennifer Lewis wearing a Nike sweatshirt “to applaud them for supporting Colin Kaepernick,” who has polarized the nation by starting the trend of kneeling during the national anthem prior to NFL games.

Jost discussed a handful of shows that were canceled and picked up by other networks before joking that Roseanne Barr’s show was “picked up by white nationalists.” He also implied that some Americans don’t think Nazis are bad and fantasized about President Obama upsetting Trump with a dig at the former reality TV star who is famously obsessed with ratings.

“The Obamas now even have their own production deal at Netflix,” Jost said. “My dream is that the only thing they produce is their own version of ‘The Apprentice.’ And it gets way higher ratings.”

Meanwhile, the Emmys decided to honor late Senator John McCain during its in memoriam. Nobody would complain about an American hero being remembered in front of a national audience, but Media Research Center contributing writer Karen Townsend questioned the motive behind the decision.

One can’t help but wonder if this was done as a subtle dig at President Trump. After all, it was only 10 years ago that all of Hollywood hated McCain when he ran for president against their beloved Obama,” she wrote.

Later in the show, award winner Ryan Murphy called America a “country that lets hatred grow unfettered and unchecked.” Anti-Trump comedian Samantha Bee – best known for vile comments about first daughter Ivanka Trump – joked that the news should “recast the lead.”

Samantha Bee's "Full Frontal" struggling to regain advertisers after vile attack on Ivanka Trump

samantha bee
Imagine my distress.
From Fox News: A new report shows Samantha Bee’s late night show “Full Frontal” hasn’t been able to regain its advertisers after the host called Ivanka Trump a “feckless c—” on her show in May.
The liberal comedian came under fire when she used an extreme vulgarity to slam Ivanka Trump in her monologue on May 30 over a photograph the first daughter shared on social media.
“You know, Ivanka, that’s a beautiful photo of you and your child…But let me just say, one mother to another, do something about your dad’s immigration practices, you feckless c—. He listens to you,” Bee said.
Bee apologized on a June 6 episode, but the damage was done as her advertisers dropped her.
Before the vulgar remark, Bee’s TBS show had 19 advertisers but when she apologized on the June 6 episode, she was down to a mere six and has been unable to gain them back weeks later, a new Newsbusters report shows.
In her June 6 opening monologue, Bee told viewers that her insult directed at the first daughter “crossed a line.”
“It is a word I have used on the show many times, hoping to reclaim it,” Bee said. “This time, I used it as an insult. I crossed a line. I regret it and I do apologize.”
Her on-air apology came after she tweeted she was sorry.
Both Bee and TBS issued apologies the following day, with the network tweeting the “vile” comment was “our mistake too, and we regret it.”

Hillary Clinton Embraces Her 'Nasty Woman' Side as She Models Samantha Bee's T-Shirt to Support Planned Parenthood

hillary clinton nasty woman
This picture speaks for itself.
From People Magazine: Hillary Clinton has two words of support for Planned Parenthood: Nasty. Woman.
The former secretary of state and 2016 Democratic nominee took to Twitter on Tuesday morning to share a photo of herself modeling one of the “nasty woman” T-shirts being sold by TBS and comedian Samantha Bee to benefit Planned Parenthood.
“Support Samantha Bee & Planned Parenthood & buy a Nasty Woman t-shirt!” Clinton tweeted.
“Nasty woman” is a nod to a jab President Trump made at Clinton during a 2016 presidential debate. The term was quickly embraced as a feminist rallying cry for Clinton.
All sales from the $25 tee will go to benefit Planned Parenthood.
“By getting this exclusive ‘Nasty Woman’ shirt, you’re joining Samantha Bee and countless other smart, fearless women and men in supporting Planned Parenthood Advocacy Project Los Angeles County, standing up for women’s (aka, human) rights and helping to pave the way for a brighter future,” says the description on the product page.
So far, the campaign has raised $925,000 toward its $1 million goal. (Great, less taxpayer money required to support the baby butchers!)
In a recent episode of her political satire show Full Frontal with Samantha Bee on TBS, Bee blasted Republican efforts to block federal funds to Planned Parenthood for one year. If they manage to succeed, Bee suggested one possible solution: “We’ll just have to keep Planned Parenthood afloat one T-shirt at a time,” she said of her campaign, which ends Wednesday.
“So if you haven’t bought a “nasty woman” T-shirt for your dog or your state representative it’s now or never,” she added. “Make it rain, nasty women!”
Clinton has long supported Planned Parenthood’s efforts. In May, she was honored with Planned Parenthood’s “Champion of the Century” award at the group’s 100th anniversary gala.
Protecting access to the full range of reproductive health care. It is a health issue, of course, it is a core economic issue. Women in every corner of our country understand that intimately. And anyone who wants to lead should also understand that fundamentally, this is an issue of morality,” Clinton said as she accepted the award.
“I wish it were common ground, but I know for sure it is higher ground,” she added. “And I believe, as you do, that trusting and valuing women is the right and moral position to take.”

Libtard Samantha Bee: There isn't a "smug liberal problem"

samantha beeOf course there isn’t.
From CNN: Canadian Comedian Samantha Bee told CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday that she didn’t think there was a “smug liberal problem.”
The host of the show “Full Frontal” spoke to Tapper on “State of the Union,” fresh from hosting her own alternative White House Correspondents’ dinner where she roasted the press and the President.
Asked by Tapper about the role of comedy in the Trump era, Bee said she and her team “mostly did the show for ourselves.”
“We need catharsis, a place to analyze things in a different way. We see things through a different filter. We just need to break it down,” she said.
Bee said when balancing humor with political commentary, her instinct is always to “lean in the direction of funny.”
“When you’re doing topical comedy you’re walking a razor edge and you don’t want to drop over into the activism side of things too often. You don’t really want to do that at all. We always err on the side of comedy.
Tapper also asked Bee about a recent column by New York Times writer Ross Douthat, who criticized Bee as the “embodiment” of “ascendant social liberalism” and described her as a “problem,” for the Democratic Party. “So flattering!” Bee said, adding that the column was “one person’s opinion.”
“But is there a smug liberal problem?” asked Tapper. “I don’t think there is,” replied Bee.
I do the show for me and for people like me, and I don’t care how the rest of the world sees it quite frankly. That’s great. We make a show for ourselves. We put it out to the world. We birth it and then the world receives it however they want to receive it. ”
