Stolen Valor: Prince Charles and his fake military service and medals

The term “stolen valor” refers to military imposters — individuals who lie about their military service.

In the United States, the Stolen Valor Act of 2013 makes it a crime for a person to fraudulently claim military service or military awards and medals specified in the Act, with the intention of obtaining money, property, or other tangible benefit. The awards include the Medal of Honor, Distinguished Service Cross, Silver Star, Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon or Medal, and more.

If Prince Charles, 69, were an American, he would be arrested for stolen valor — pretending to military service, ranks and awards that he had not earned.

According to Wikipedia, this is Prince Charles’ military service:

  • Royal Air Force training as a jet pilot in 1971.
  • After a 6-week course in the Royal Naval College Dartmouth, he served on the guided missile destroyer HMS Norfolk (1971–1972) and the frigates HMS Minerva (1972–1973) and HMS Jupiter (1974).
  • In 1974, he joined 845 Naval Air Squadron, operating from HMS Hermes.
  • In 1976, he took command of the coastal minehunter HMS Bronington as captain for his last 10 months of active service in the navy.

Altogether, Prince Charles served in two branches of the UK military: the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy. His entire military service lasted just five years, from 1971 to 1976. The highest rank he attained was Captain of the coastal mine-sweeper HMS Bronington. He never saw war and never served in combat.

And yet, as you can see in his pic above, the future king of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth realms (including Canada, Australia and New Zealand), sports a chestful of distinguished and combat medals on his military uniform, including:

  • Five-star ranks in all three services: Army Field Marshall, Admiral of the Fleet, and Marshal of the Royal Air Force.
  • The Order of the Garter, Britain’s highest medal of chilvary.
  • The Order of Merit, for distinguished service in the armed forces.
  • The Order of the Bath, usually given to senior military officers.
  • Medals celebrating his mom, Queen Elizabeth’s coronation, and her Silver, Golden, and Diamond Jubilees, which have nothing to do with the military or combat.

In a blistering article on October 15, 2018, the National Enquirer quotes an unnamed “insider”:

“Charles is making a mockery of every soldier, sailor and airman who did go into battle for their country, many of whom paid the ultimate price with their lives. His own father, Prince Philip, served in World War II and his brother, Prince Andrew, saw combat in the Falklands War. But Charles is a joke. He’s nothing but a clown prince. He should be ashamed of himself chatting to real veterans while he steals their valor with fake medals.

But the truth is he was promoted to those [five-star] ranks by his mother, Queen Elizabeth, in 2012. She previously elevated to four-star ranks for his 58th birthday in 2006. Clearly, Mommy had to give him lots of medals because he never won any. He’s a pathetic imposter.”

Why the Brits put up with Prince Charles and the corrupt monarchy is a mystery. They must like being useful idiots.

Shocker, not: Refugees eyed in British subway terrorist attack

sadiq khan
From Fox News: Authorities named one of two Middle Eastern refugees believed to be responsible for last week’s London subway bombing, as new details emerged about their troubled time being fostered by a British couple previously honored by Queen Elizabeth II.
Yahyah Farroukh, 21, was identified as one of the suspects being held by London police, Sky News reported. Farroukh was arrested at a fried chicken shop, where he worked, in Hounslow in west London Saturday night. Suleman Sarwar, 43, who owns the chicken shop, said the 21-year-old suspect was arrested after he finished his shift.
“He was very normal,” Sarwar told Sky News. “I don’t know how long he worked here. It was surprising seeing him on the news.”
Farroukh’s Facebook profile indicated he was from Damascus and studied English in West Thamas College between 2013 and 2015. He was living in Stanwell, Surrey, where officials conducted a search on Sunday, but also most recently was registered to live with Penelope and Ronald Jones, who were honored by the queen for fostering more than 200 children – including refugees from Middle Eastern countries affected by conflicts. Another unidentified 18-year-old man who was arrested earlier in the day at Dover ferry port, where boats to France leave, was also fostered by the couple.
Both men are being held under the Terrorism Act and questioned by London police about Friday’s attack, when an improvised explosive device partially detonated aboard a subway train at Parsons Green station during morning rush hour, injuring 30 people.
But trouble with the couple’s foster children was reportedly visible beforehand – when police visited the Sunbury house two or three weeks ago, according to neighbor Stephen Griffiths.
“The police were there multiple times over the span of about a month — a few times a week,” Griffiths said. “You always think foster kids are going to have a bit of trouble, but you don’t think terrorism.”
The 18-year-old man is believed to be an Iraqi orphan who moved to the United Kingdom when he was 15 years old, after his parents died. The man was reportedly a “problem” for the foster parents and they had been contacting officials before the attack, according to the Telegraph. He lived with the Joneses, but hadn’t been arrested “in the last couple of weeks” despite the police activity at the Jones house, a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman told Sky News.
The news of frequent police visits could shed light on a tweet sent soon after the attack by President Trump in which he appeared to criticize British authorities for not acting sooner to prevent the attack.
“Another attack in London by a loser terrorist. These are sick and demented people who were in the sights of Scotland Yard. Must be proactive!” Trump wrote.
Images of the 18-year-old suspect, who is believed to have planted the bomb, have not emerged.
ITV News, however, obtained CCTV footage showing a man near Joneses’ Sunbury house Friday morning carrying a bag from Lidl supermarket. Images after the device detonated on Friday showed it was carried in a Lidl bag.
ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack, but British officials said there’s no proof yet the terror group was actively involved in the planning, preparation or carrying out of the attack. British Prime Minister Theresa May raised the city’s terror threat level to “critical” – meaning an attack is imminent – but downgraded it Sunday to “severe” – meaning an attack is highly likely.
“Severe still means that an attack is highly likely, so I would urge everybody to be vigilant but not alarmed,” Home Secretary Amber Rudd said.

First Lady of Bling

In diplomatic circles, it is de rigeur for visitor(s) from a foreign country to return a dinner/banquet. So it is with U.S. presidents.
Two evenings ago, Queen Elizabeth II threw a state dinner in honor of the visiting Obamas. Last night, Obama co-hosted a dinner in honour of the Queen.
Michelle wore an all-white gown (see pic on left) at the Brit-hosted dinner, and an all-black gown at last night’s dinner. Hm, is that symbolic? LOL
Below is a pic of Michelle in the black gown:

No, she wasn’t wearing a humongous wig or some bizarre feather head-dress.

It was the camera angle. LOL
Daily Mail’s sycophantic writer swooned over Michelle’s “toned arms” and calls her “the First Lady of Bling”:
“The First Lady scored a final fashion bulls-eye in a stunning black off-the-shoulder dress by all-American designer Ralph Lauren at the black-tie dinner. The president’s wife showed off a selection of costume jewellery including a cuff and necklace by Irish designer Tom Binns. A similar necklace sells on his website for $875.”
Would you pay $875 for this jumble of a necklace?

Yikes. Get a load of those eyelashes. [Click pic to enlarge]
Looks to me she’s more a First Lady of Humongous False Eyelashes….
H/t beloved fellow Tina!

Obama Disrespects the British National Anthem

A national anthem is a generally patriotic musical composition that evokes and eulogizes the history, traditions and struggles of its people, recognized either by a nation’s government as the official national song, or by convention through use by the people. As such, the national anthem is a symbol for the country.
“The Star Spangled Banner” is the national anthem of the United States. When our national anthem is played, to show our respect, we stop talking, stand up, remove our hat/cap, and place our right hand over our heart. As Wikipedia observes:

“Certain etiquette may be involved in the playing of a country’s anthem. These usually involve military honours, standing up, removing headwear etc. In diplomatic situations the rules may be very formal.”

God Save the Queen” is the de facto national anthem of the United Kingdom and some of its territories.
Last night, at the state banquet for the visiting Obamas, Obama raised a toast to Queen Elizabeth II. Before he finished his toast, the band began playing “God Save the Queen.” Protocol is that everyone stands in silence for “God Save the Queen.” But Obama broke protocol by continuing his toast.
The Queen observed protocol by remaining silent and waited until the band finished before she thanked Obama.
[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZCsfyaOGdw&feature=youtu.be]
The person who uploaded this video onto Youtube bristled that this strict observance of protocol is slavish and that the Queen’s silence was “An insult to all Americans.”
What do you think?
