Ron Paul: Isolationist or Anti-Semite?

Texas Congressman Ron Paul, a candidate competing to be the GOP’s presidential nominee for 2012, is nominally a member of the Republican Party. But ideologically, Paul is more a Libertarian (he ran as a Libertarian in the 1988 presidential election), which explains his stance on foreign policy.
Libertarians do not favor the U.S. government’s (vs. Americans as private citizens) involvement in other countries and the world. Libertarians therefore do not support foreign wars (that is, wars fought not on U.S. soil but in foreign lands) and foreign aid.
That being said, there is a difference between (A) advocating a libertarian foreign policy, versus (B) being anti-Israel and blind toward real dangers in the world.
Paul has labored to convince us that his views on Israel are entirely consistent with the general beliefs of Libertarians. But the evidence is mounting that Ron Paul is more (B) than (A). Republicans and Conservatives need to be informed about this and act accordingly.
Here are some facts we need to know about Ron Paul (h/t Debbie Schlussel, Patriot Action Network, Dec. 26, 2011):

  • Despite the Libertarian opposition to foreign aid, Paul voted against a measure that would end U.S. aid to HAMAS, a Palestinian terrorist organization.

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClLmm6TCFKg&feature=player_embedded]

  • Paul had questioned whether the 9/11 attacks were perpetrated by Muslim jihadists. He several times voiced his belief that 9-11 was an inside job, conducted by the CIA and directly planned and ordered by George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. Most recently on November 20, on CBS “Face the Nation“, he still insists that America had “provoked” the 9/11 attacks because “we’re over there” in the Middle East.
  • In the most recent GOP presidential aspirants’ debate, Paul says Iran’s acquisition of nuclear weapons is not a matter of concern.

Now, Ron Paul’s personal assistant for 17 years who had worked on Paul’s campaigns and fund raising, is going on the record that he believes Paul to be an anti-Semite. His name is Eric Dondero.
In a statement he sent Debbie Schlussel, Dondero unequivocally describes Paul as:

“He is . . . most certainly Anti-Israel, and Anti-Israeli in general.  He wishes the Israeli state did not exist at all.  He expressed this to me numerous times in our private conversations.  His view is that Israel is more trouble than it is worth, specifically to the America taxpayer.  He sides with the Palestinians, and supports their calls for the abolishment of the Jewish state, and the return of Israel, all of it, to the Arabs…”

“Ron Paul is most assuredly an isolationist.  He denies this charge vociferously.  But I can tell you straight out, I had countless arguments/discussions with him over his personal views.  For example, he strenuously does not believe the United States had any business getting involved in fighting Hitler in WII.  He expressed to me countless times, that “saving the JWews,” was absolutely none of our business.  When pressed, he often times brings up conspiracy theories like FDR knew about the attacks of Pearl Harbor weeks before hand, or that WWII was just “blowback,” for Woodrow Wilson’s foreign policy errors, and such.”

So, it appears that for Ron Paul, it’s not just 9/11 that’s America’s fault. World War II is also America’s fault!
I like Ron Paul’s pro-life record and his opposition to the Federal Reserve and the United Nations’ Agenda 21. But his foreign policy sure gives me pause.

Are Liberal Jews a Lost Cause?

President Obama attacks Israel: Will liberal Jews ever get it?

by Eric Golub – Washington Times – May 19, 2011
Israel has always faced existential threats from Arab neighbors who are anything but. Now Israel’s very survival is at stake, and they cannot even get the support of American liberal Jews, even when the American leader joins in the attack.
The other day Palestinians tried to invade Israel. The fact that this was done with rocks and not rocket launchers does not make it any less of an invasion.
Thirteen Palestinians were killed while the rest of these murderous defective Arab zealots received praise from Barack Obama.
The very creation of the state of Israel is known among Palestinians as the “Nakhba,” which means “catastrophe.”
Only days later, the unfeeling, uncaring automaton or a President gave a speech demanding that Israel return to its 1967 borders. Well, I demand that President Obama sit down and shut up. […]
There is no more room for dialogue. Barack Obama has just given Palestinians a green light to destroy Israel. The only solution for Israel is to engage in a crackdown that would make Bashar Assad envious.
Palestinians are a lost cause. Barack Obama is a lost cause. Peace in the Middle East with suicide bombing savages is a lost cause.
Yet one question remains, and it must be answered immediately.
Are liberal Jews a lost cause?
Will any of these spineless jelly (gefilte) fish finally stop acting like battered housewives?
Will Henry Waxboy stand up?

Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif)

Will Anthony Weiner stand up?

Rep, Anthony Weiner (D-NY)

Will Debbie Wasserman-Schultz stand up?

Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-Florida)

It is time for Jewish liberals to realize that they can no longer be both. Either their religion is Judaism or liberalism. Either thousands of years of religious tradition means something or it doesn’t.
The days when Jewish liberal women care more about abortion than Israel needs to end. The days when liberal Jews consider global warming to be the real Holocaust needs to stop.
The Democratic Party of old is dead. It is now headed by a man willing to reward terrorists by giving them a place to live that was never their home to begin with.
It is time for human rights activists obsessed with Rwanda and Darfur to realize that attempted genocide of the Jewish people is happening while the world blames the “poor, misunderstood Palestinians.”
They are not misunderstood. They are murderers. They do not want peace. They want every Jew dead worldwide. Yes, they would slit the throats of the Ws (Wasserman-Schultz, Wiener, and Waxboy) with glee if they could.
It was one thing when Barack Obama showed indifference to Israel. After all, he is indifferent to virtually everybody. No law requires that a man, even a president, be capable of human emotions.
Yet, now he has crossed the line. He has demanded that Israel give up land while giving lip service to Palestinian promises of ceasing terror activities. […]
As for your water carriers in the liberal Jewish community, they need to stop making excuses for you, and for once in their lives stand up.
After all, when the Palestinians come for the Jews, they will not distinguish between conservative and liberal.
They will come for the liberal Jews too. Only then will those liberal Jews realize that Barack Obama has no interest in speaking up.

*Breaking News* Obama Betrays Israel

Obama finally showed his hand on the Israel-Palestinian conflict.

This morning he broke with long-standing US policy and completely sided with the Palestinians, by endorsing Palestinian demand for their own state based on the borders that existed before the 1967 Six-Day War.
That means Obama is demanding Israel to roll back its borders to pre-1967. That, in turn, means that, with the West Bank gone, Israel’s mid-section is severely narrowed. Lacking strategic depth, the state of Israel will be territorially indefensible.

Territory held by Israel before and after the Six Day War.

FoxNews.com reports on May 19, 2011:

President Obama, in a sweeping address tackling the uprisings in the Middle East and the stalled peace process, on Thursday endorsed Palestinians’ demand for their own state based on the borders that existed before the 1967 Six-Day War.

The break with longstanding U.S. policy is likely to aggravate the Israelis, who want the borders of any future Palestinian state determined through negotiations. The declaration comes ahead of a meeting in Washington between Obama and visiting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“The status quo is unsustainable,” Obama said. “A lasting peace will involve two states for two peoples.”

The U.S. had previously endorsed the concept of a Palestinian state, but not the demand for permanent pre-1967 borders, with mutually agreed land swaps.

At the same time as Obama demanded Israel to roll its borders back to pre-1967’s, he said Israeli’s right to defend itself will remain paramount, and assured Israel that the United States’ commitment to Israeli security is “unshakable.”
Blah, blah, blah.

The Quickening in Israel and the Middle East

A classic strategy of unpopular governments is to distract and dissipate its populace’s discontent and unrest by focusing on an external enemy. Syria’s government, under siege by domestic uprising since January, is doing exactly that.
Spurred by anti-government protests in Arabic Middle East which began first in Egypt, Syrians too started protesting on 26 January and have continued to protest since. In Daraa in March, demonstrators exceeded 20,000; troops were brought in and reportedly more than a hundred were killed.
Although Syria’s president tried to appease the demonstrators by asking the entire cabinet to resign and naming a new prime minister, protests have continued. Entire cities (Deraa, Baniyas, Homs) are under siege by the Syrian army. Tanks are brought in to shell residential areas; hundreds are believed to have been killed; deaths and mass imprisonment of local youths have been reported.
And so Damascus is diverting its populace’s hostilities outward.
Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu of Israel National News reports on May 15, 2011 that last Sunday, nearly 1,000 Syrian Arabs who called themselves “Palestinians” invaded Israel’s Golan Heights when Syrian troops at the border chose not to prevent the infiltration.
At least one person, an Israeli, was killed and dozens were wounded as Israel’s IDF soldiers tried to beat back the invading horde with tear gas and live fire.
At the same time of the massive infiltration into the Golan Heights, hundreds of Syrian Arabs have crossed into Lebanon to flee the violence from Assad’s security forces who already have killed nearly 800 demonstrators.
Analysts had predicted precisely what happened last Sunday — that the Syrian government would “allow” the border crossings to draw the populace’s attention and participation away from the ongoing rebellion in the country and the regime’s harsh crackdown on civilian protestors.

Meanwhile, Guy Milliére, reporting for Hudson New York on May 16, 2011, is sounding the alarm of the full-blown return of anti-Semitism in Europe:

During the last decade, synagogues were vandalized or set on fire in Poland, Sweden, Hungary, France. Anti-Semitic inscriptions are being drawn on building walls in Paris, Madrid, Amsterdam, London, Berlin and Rome. Jewish cemeteries are being ransacked. Jews are being attacked on the streets of most major cities on the continent. In the Netherlands, the police use « decoy Jews » in order to try arrest the perpetrators red-handed.

Jewish schools are being placed under police protection everywhere, and are usually equipped with security gates. Jewish children in public high schools are bullied; when parents complain, they are encouraged to choose another place of learning for their children.

In some cities such as Malmö, Sweden, or Roubaix, France, the persecution suffered by the Jewish community has reached such a degree that people are selling their homes at any price and leaving. Those who stay have the constant feeling that they are risking their lives: they must be extremely streetwise and carry no sign showing who they are. In 1990, approximately 2000 Jewish people lived in Malmö; now there are fewer than 700, and the number is decreasing every year.

Jews now, in fact, have to be streetwise in all European countries: men wearing a skullcap usually hide it under a hat or a cap. Owners of kosher restaurants located on avenues where protests are organized close their facilities before the arrival of the participants — even if the protest is about wages or retirement age. They know too well that among the demonstrators, there will always be some who will express their rage at the sight of a Jewish name or a star of David on a store front. In Paris, on Labor Day, May 1st, in front of a Jewish café on Avenue of the Republic, several hundred demonstrators stopped and began to boo « Jews » and « Zionists ». A man coming out of the café was assaulted until police officers arrived on the scene.

In the context of all these events, it is interesting that yesterday, Glenn Beck announced he will be holding a major rally in Israel this summer.
“I believe I’ve been asked to stand — in Jerusalem,” Beck told his audience recounting a list of times in history when people and nations failed to stand with the Jewish people. “Things in Israel are going to get bad…it’s only a matter of time. They are going to attack the center of our faith, our common faith, and that is Jerusalem. And it won’t be with bullets or bombs. It will be with a two-state solution that cuts off Jerusalem, the old city, to the rest of the world. It is time to return inside the walls that surround Jerusalem and stand with people of all faiths all around the world.”
Events in Israel and the entire Middle East seem to be quickening, toward…what? It is unsettling, to say the least.

Feel free to copy this video and help spread the truth the palestinians seek to deny.
I believe the mistakes in spelling of this English language version is because Hebrew is the native language of the film maker.
