Donald Trump will publish a weekly list of crimes committed by illegal aliens

This will no doubt trigger the pro-sanctuary city mayors. Works for me.

From Daily Mail: Donald Trump will publish a weekly list of crimes committed by illegal immigrants aliens under an executive action he claims will ‘enhance public safety’.  Trump signed the order on Wednesday which also stated that sanctuary cities that refuse to arrest immigrants over their illegal status will lose federal funding.

The list, also known as a Declined Detainer Outcome Report, will include a comprehensive list of criminal activity committed by illegal aliens that will ‘better inform’ the public.

The document states that the 300 sanctuary cities which currently exist nationwide violate federal law as they attempt to ‘shield aliens’ from deportation. Trump added that these cities have caused ‘immeasurable harm’ to Americans.

Although the president does not have power to withhold all federal funding, he can pressure cities to comply by cutting grants. The administration also plans to crack down by hiring an additional 10,000 immigration officers.

New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio vowed not to ‘deport law-abiding New Yorkers’ in a news conference on Wednesday. Mayors in Santa Fe, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle and Boston have all defied the president’s order and pledged to protect immigrants illegal aliens.

New York Police Department has a list of 170 criminal offenses that are not covered by the sanctuary policy, such as felony assault, rape, murder, terrorism, and gun smuggling and witness tampering, the New York Post reported.

NYPD is required to report illegal immigrants aliens charged with those crimes to federal law enforcement.

An Angry Libtard: Shia LaBeouf arrested at his anti-Trump art installation

Actor Shia LaBeouf started this “performance art”stunt called, “He Will Not Divide Us.” From their web site:

“Commencing at 9am on January 20, 2017, the day of the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States, the public is invited to deliver the words “HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US” into a camera mounted on a wall outside the Museum of the Moving Image, New York, repeating the phrase as many times, and for as long as they wish.

Open to all, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the participatory performance will be live-streamed continuously for four years, or the duration of the presidency. In this way, the mantra “HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US” acts as a show of resistance or insistence, opposition or optimism, guided by the spirit of each individual participant and the community.”

So much butt hurt in Shia’s heart that he got arrested, live, in front of his stunt. It’s going to be a LOOOOOONG four years for libtards.

From CNN: Actor and performance artist Shia LaBeouf has been charged with misdemeanor assault and a harassment violation after getting in a scuffle during a rally against Donald Trump early Thursday morning, according to New York Police Department spokesman Sgt. Thomas Antonetti.

LaBeouf was arrested and has been released, according to Det. Christopher Pisano.

LaBeouf and a 25-year-old anti-Trump protester got into a verbal exchange in front of the Museum of the Moving Image, and then police say LaBeouf pulled on the man’s scarf, scratching his face while doing so, according to Antonetti.  CNN is attempting to reach out to LaBeouf’s representatives.

LaBeouf is planning to protest President Trump for the next four years with an art exhibit that will run continuously outside the museum.

The installation consists of a white wall with the words “HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US” on it and a camera beneath the words. LaBeouf has invited the public to participate by saying the phrase into the camera, which streams live. The arrest itself appeared to be caught on the live-stream.

Good Idea or Violation of Fourth Amendment?

NYPD Commissioner says department  will begin testing  a new high-tech device that scans for concealed  weapons

NY Post: Get ready for scan-and-frisk. The NYPD will soon deploy new technology allowing police to detect guns  carried by criminals without using the typical pat-down procedure, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said Wednesday.

The department just received a machine that reads terahertz — the natural  energy emitted by people and inanimate objects — and allows police to view  concealed weapons from a distance. “If something is obstructing the flow of that radiation, for example a weapon, the device will highlight that object,” Kelly said.

A video image aired at a Police Foundation breakfast Wednesday showed an  officer, clad in a New York Jets jersey and jeans, with the shape of a hidden  gun clearly visible under his clothing when viewed through the device.

The department will begin testing the high-tech device for use on the street. The device is small enough to be placed in a police vehicle or stationed  at a street corner where gunplay has occurred in the past.

Kelly, who first discussed the possibility of using this technology last  year, said the NYPD has been working with the London Metropolitan Police and a  contractor “to develop a tool that meets our requirements.” “We took delivery of it last week,” Kelly said at the gathering at the  Waldorf Astoria. “One of our requirements was that the technology must be  portable.”

“We still have a number of trials to run before we can determine how best to deploy this technology. We’re also talking to our legal staff about this. But we’re very pleased with the progress we’ve made over the past year.”

The New York Civil Liberties Union last year raised concerns about “virtual  pat downs,” and some security experts have said false positives could lead to  unjustified stops.

I’m not sure about this. Seems to me it violates our Fourth Amendment:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

The Fourth Amendment was intended to create a constitutional buffer between U.S. citizens and the intimidating power of law enforcement. It has three components. First, it establishes a privacy interest by recognizing the right of U.S. citizens to be “secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects.” Second, it protects this privacy interest by prohibiting searches and seizures that are “unreasonable” or are not authorized by a warrant based upon probable cause. Third, it states that no warrant may be issued to a law enforcement officer unless that warrant describes with particularity “the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

I thought the TSA scanners violated our Fourth Amendment too yet that didn’t stop the federal government from implementing them anyway.

What do you think?
