Inappropriate: 31-year-old rapper gives “boy advice” to 14-year-old actress

Minor Brown (l) “comfortable” with the elder Drake (r)

Drake is a 31-year-old rapper who apparently texts boy advice to a 14-year-old English actress. Wonder what the 14-year-old girl’s father thinks of this…

From Daily Mail: Millie Bobby Brown says she and Drake often text one another that they miss each other.

The Stranger Things star, 14, told Access at the Emmys Monday that she and the rapper, 31, communicate by text about a number of topics.

‘We just texted each other the other day and he was like, “I miss you so much,” and I was like “I miss you more,”‘ she said, adding, ‘He’s great.’

Brown said that the In My Feelings artist gives her advice with how to deal with boys: ‘About boys, he helps me.’

The Spain-born actress called the Toronto native a ‘great friend and a great role model,’ adding, ‘I love him; I met him in Australia and he’s honestly so fantastic.’

The Netflix star said that she hopes to catch him in concert later this fall when his tour arrives in Atlanta.

She opened up to W magazine earlier this summer about her relationship with the rapper, as a picture they took together while both working in Australia went viral last November.

She told the magazine in July that since their first meeting, they now talk all the time.  ‘He invited me to his concert,’ she said. ‘And now we talk all the time. I ask his advice.

While the Stranger Things actress is comfortable with Drake, there’s other male stars that still leave her starstruck.

Discussing whether she’s changed since she first found fame, she said, ‘I don’t think I’ve changed. I’m not thinking, Oh, I know everything now. I still get nervous. I still get anxious.

‘Although, even back then at the BAFTA tea, when I met Justin Timberlake, I swear I could have fainted.’

And Millie could ‘barely speak’ when she came face-to-face with her childhood idol, Zac Efron.

Asked her favorite toy as a child, she said: ‘A microphone that had High School Musical on it. I could sing with Zac Efron!

‘I watched High School Musical every single day. When I met Zac Efron, I could barely speak.’

Suck it Hollyweird: Ratings for 2018 Emmy Awards hit all-time low

From Fox News: Hollywood may have laughed when Emmys host Michael Che said the only white people who thank Jesus are “Republicans and ex-crackheads,” but Tinseltown’s latest middle finger to Middle America fell flat in flyover country, and may have contributed to the telecast’s all-time low viewership.

Co-host Michael Che left many viewers of the 70th Annual Emmy Awards upset during the opening monologue with his fellow “Saturday Night Live” star Colin Jost, explaining that his mother would not be watching the show on Monday night.

“She says she doesn’t like watching white award shows because you guys don’t thank Jesus enough,” Che said. “That’s true. The only white people that thank Jesus are Republicans and ex-crackheads.

The joke didn’t sit well with some viewers, who took to Twitter to complain. Not only that, the show’s ratings dropped 10 percent from last year’s already-dismal numbers, setting an all-time low, according to TheWrap.

While many viewers may have changed the channel after the opening monologue, jabs at average Americans were far from over and the Jesus gag became a running theme throughout the evening.

Conservative strategist Chris Barron told Fox News that “large swaths of the American public just want to be entertained” but instead were turned into “unwilling participants” in a political rally disguised as an awards show.

“Whether it’s the NFL or the Emmys, people desperately want a break from politics. It’s amazing to me at just how tone deaf Hollywood is,” Barron said.

“Most Republicans have stopped watching awards shows or know that even if they can stomach it, the White House and their core values will be attacked. I kept thinking last night, thank goodness for a few actors like Chris Pratt, who buck the trend and show a healthy respect and love for Christianity in acceptance speeches,” Fox Nation host Britt McHenry said. “Reverence for God is something to cherish and uphold, not ridicule.”

Jokes about religious Republicans weren’t the only jabs at Middle America.

Prior to the official event, actress Regina King spoke with E! about a cryptic Instagram post in which she asked to “stop making stupid people famous,” which many have interpreted as a dig at President Trump. The Red Carpet also featured actress Jennifer Lewis wearing a Nike sweatshirt “to applaud them for supporting Colin Kaepernick,” who has polarized the nation by starting the trend of kneeling during the national anthem prior to NFL games.

Jost discussed a handful of shows that were canceled and picked up by other networks before joking that Roseanne Barr’s show was “picked up by white nationalists.” He also implied that some Americans don’t think Nazis are bad and fantasized about President Obama upsetting Trump with a dig at the former reality TV star who is famously obsessed with ratings.

“The Obamas now even have their own production deal at Netflix,” Jost said. “My dream is that the only thing they produce is their own version of ‘The Apprentice.’ And it gets way higher ratings.”

Meanwhile, the Emmys decided to honor late Senator John McCain during its in memoriam. Nobody would complain about an American hero being remembered in front of a national audience, but Media Research Center contributing writer Karen Townsend questioned the motive behind the decision.

One can’t help but wonder if this was done as a subtle dig at President Trump. After all, it was only 10 years ago that all of Hollywood hated McCain when he ran for president against their beloved Obama,” she wrote.

Later in the show, award winner Ryan Murphy called America a “country that lets hatred grow unfettered and unchecked.” Anti-Trump comedian Samantha Bee – best known for vile comments about first daughter Ivanka Trump – joked that the news should “recast the lead.”

It’s National Suicide Prevention Week: Check out the “crave death” meme Lena Dunham posted

Lena Dunham: Inspiring young women to “not settle”

National Suicide Prevention Week began Sept. 9 and goes through Sept. 15. If you know of anyone who needs suicide prevention resources, click here.

The Hillary-loving feminist Lena Dunham started the “Lenny Letter” website described as “feminism, style, health & politics – unfiltered.”

As a feminist, Lena doesn’t believe one should shame another woman in public. She was mad when Jezebel criticized her Vogue photo shoot and called what they said, “bullsh*t.”

As a feminist, Lena is fine with her body and doesn’t like to be Photoshopped (although she frequently is).

As a feminist, Lena believes the way that women are spoken to on social media is shocking and comparable to the abuse of Guantanamo prisoners.

As a feminist, Lena is an “advocate” for young women everywhere. She is a strong woman who “empowers” other women.

Or so she would have you believe…

Lena posted the above meme on her Instagram account on Sept. 9, just in time to kick off the week. Her caption: “Do not settle for second best this week!!!”

Stuff like this MAKES ME MAD. Suicide is not a joke. I had a cousin who committed suicide and know of a couple other people who attempted suicide.

Lena obviously missed the memo that the majority of college students say they’re stressed, with many reporting suicidal thoughts.

Netflix has a show called “13 Reasons Whythat revolves around teenagers committing suicide and self harm. It’s been criticized for glamorizing suicide and several families have blamed the series for inspiring their children to kill themselves.

In 2016, the New York Times reported that suicides hit a 30-year high, with an alarming increase among girls ages 10 to 14.

Memes like this one that Lena posted do not inspire women. This type of “empowering” feminism is bad form and a horrible example coming from a “role model” of today’s feminist movement.

Shame on you, Lena.

George Soros is a leading shareholder in Netflix

Red Pill reports for The Goldwater, March 28, 2018, that Susan Rice, Obama’s national security adviser and UN ambassador, has been hired to Netflix Inc’s board of directors, “but most Americans seem to forget that George Soros is a leading shareholder in the company.

Red Pill is right.

Soros indeed is a leading shareholder in Netflix, through his privately-held investment management firm, Soros Fund Management, which he’d founded in 1969.
According to Wikipedia, Soros Fund Management’s president and deputy chairman is one of George’s demon spawn, Robert Soros. But according to Business Insider, on June 26, 2017, Robert Soros, the 53-year-old eldest son of George Soros, stepped down as deputy chairman and president of Soros Fund Management but remain an owner at the firm. Robert will start his own venture capital firm, Soros Capital.

Soros Fund Management (SFM) has large investments in transportation, energy, retail, financial, and other industries, as well as in public equity and fixed income markets worldwide, foreign exchange, currency, commodity markets, and private equity and venture capital funds.
According to Soros Fund Management‘s latest portfolio, as of December 31, 2017, SFM owns 71,500 shares in Netflix. At the current price of $285.77 per share, the total value of Soros’ shares in Netflix is a whopping $20.43 million.

Soros Fund Management has tentacles all over the U.S. economy and the world. George Soros, via his Soros Fund Management, also owns shares in these well-known companies and many others:

  • Overstock.com Inc: 2,472,188 shares.
  • Time Warner Inc: 361,842 shares.

Hollyweird problems: Actress Taryn Manning slams stylist for her $200 dress at the SAG Awards

taryn manning instagram picture

Taryn Manning: Wants to be dressed like a “superstar”

Taryn Manning is a 39-year-old actress best known for acting on the “Orange is the New Black” Netflix show.
She’s also known for assaulting her personal assistant. From Wikipedia:
On October 12, 2012, Manning was arrested for assaulting her personal assistant and makeup artist, Holli Hartman. The victim declined to prosecute and in November 2012, Manning took a plea bargain of one day of community service, and if she stayed out of trouble for the next six months, the case would be closed.
In 2016, Manning was accused of violently attacking Hartman yet again. The victim sought a restraining order against Manning but was denied due to jurisdictional filing issues. The attack was one of several Hartman claimed to have suffered with the most recent abuse occurring in late 2015 at Manning’s Manhattan apartment.”
Additionally she’s now known for, like the majority in Hollyweird, being out of touch with average Americans.
From Yahoo: Taryn Manning made headlines for donning a SAG Awards dress that was only $200 – and available at your favorite department store. But while many were thrilled to see an affordable dress at a major Hollywood awards show, one person wasn’t as happy about it: the Orange Is the New Black star herself.
Asked by TMZ about the choice to wear the Adrianna Papell gown, Manning criticized her stylist Chaunielle Brown for the choice. “It’s wack that my stylist didn’t tell me that,” she said. “Now everyone else can afford it, that’s what’s cool about it, but it still sucks for me. I want to be in like a superstar gown … So the designer got a lot of press. She should pay me a lot of money.
After her comments picked up steam on the internet, Manning clarified her position on Instagram, writing “I was completely caught off guard when all of the press about my dress was about the cost, which I knew nothing about, and I felt used for someone else’s gain.” She added that she loved the dress and is friends with Brown, and concluded “I am happy to be the proof that there is more to feeling confident, beauty and happy on the inside than just a price tag.”

Hollyweird hypocrites: Self-proclaimed feminist stars keep attacking Sarah Sanders for her looks

chelsea handler tweet
From Fox News: Hollywood women have banded together like never before on issues including pay inequality and sexual harassment, declaring that women all over the world need to stick together and be supportive of one another. But experts say several stars aren’t practicing what they preach when it comes to Donald Trump’s press secretary, Sarah Sanders.
Self-proclaimed activist Chelsea Handler wrote in an op-ed for Thrive in Dec. 2016: “Let’s stop it with the dialogue about how women look or what they wear, or if they’ve gained or lost weight. We are more guilty of this with each other than most men are.”
Cher has often spoken out about the sexualization of womendeclaring at the Women’s March on Jan. 20 that she “believe[s] in this movement.”
But both stars recently attacked Sanders solely over her looks.
Cher tweeted to Sanders on Tuesday to “stop dressing like a sister wife.” After fans slammed Cher for the hurtful tweet, she followed up by admitting it was “kinda mean” but “so funny.”
Handler has gone even further than Cher by mocking Sanders’ “summer whore lipstick” and calling her a “harlot” on her Netflix show. Comedian Fortune Feimster even wore exaggerated makeup to play Sanders for a skit on Handler’s now-defunct series.
And “Saturday Night Live” took a similar swipe at the press secretary’s outfits by putting the show’s Sanders character in a revealing outfit to dance provocatively to a pop song in a November 2017 episode.
The show has also dressed the Sanders character, played by Aidy Bryant, in a bright pink dress to mock the press secretary’s frequent color choice.
Penny Nance, President and CEO of Concerned Women for America, told Fox News Cher’s recent insults proves Hollywood feminists don’t play by their own rules when it comes to conservative women.
“Cher’s attack on Sarah is yet another example of how liberal women in all types of powerful positions stand up for only those women who adhere to their ideology,” Nance told Fox News. “If you’re a conservative woman, prepare to be thrown out of the feminist tent. Their message is that some women will be supported. That some women will be empowered. That some women will [be] trusted. But they don’t support all women and especially those of us who support life.”
Dan Gainor, vice president of business and culture at the Media Research Center, echoed Nance’s comments adding that the recent attacks on Sanders’ looks are “especially offensive.”
They don’t just attack her for being conservative. They dare to treat her as if she’s not a woman. They blast her clothes and say she dresses like a ‘sister wife,'” Gainor said. “…Chelsea Handler called her a ‘harlot’ with ‘summer whore lipstick.’ And these are women doing this. Imagine the media outrage if conservatives dared to treat a liberal woman with such disgust.”
He added, “Liberals hate anyone who doesn’t side with them.”
Branding and public relations expert Scott Pinsker told Fox News these stars are hurting their brands by attacking Trump’s press secretary.
“An awful lot of women in America look more like Sarah Sanders than the Hollywood starlets who are bashing Trump and his supporters on all the award shows,” Pinsker explained. “If you want to disagree with Ms. Sanders’ political positions, that’s perfectly legitimate, but mocking her for being normal-looking isn’t exactly empowering to women.”

Comedian Maz Jobrani plans to "drop the mic" on Trump at International Emmys

maz jobrani

Maz Jobrani: One original and brave comedian…

Wonder if he plans to discuss how sexual harassment in his industry has impacted comedy? Don’t hold your breath.
From Hollywood Reporter: On Nov. 20, Maz Jobrani will move from his Los Angeles comedy haunts like the Laugh Factory and Hollywood Improv to the Hilton Hotel in New York City as he takes center stage as host of the 45th International Emmys.
Ahead of the fete, the headliner of Netflix’s Immigrant got on the phone with THR to talk about his approach to being funny, (maybe musical) and sensitive all at once, as well as his plan for addressing the flood of sexual harassment stories that have recently hit Hollywood and have included actor Kevin Spacey, who was supposed to receive the 2017 International Emmy Founders Award at the show.
What can people expect from you as host of the International Emmys?
I tend to go to the audience, and if there’s people from different parts of the world I try to acknowledge them and maybe have some jokes about where they’re from. I’m going to try and cover some of the countries that are represented there that night. I’ll do my best to touch on as many countries as I can within my limited time that I have to open the show with. Obviously, as an Iranian-American, as an American comedian I need to talk about Trump. We’ll definitely touch on Donald Trump and then it’s about making everyone feel welcome.
How political do you plan on getting?
I just always give my point of view. I have a liberal lean and Trump has inspired me to be more political on stage. An international audience is very well versed on what’s going on and I hope they’ll appreciate the comments I make. Trump wants to build walls, I want to build bridges. We represent polar opposites so I have to talk about that.
What would a Trump tweet look like in response to your jokes?
He doesn’t go out of his way to find us. I strongly doubt that he would do anything. Every time I tweet and tag his Twitter, in the back of my mind I [think], “I wonder if he’ll ever see any of these.” During the election I wrote something and got a response and it said Donald Trump and I was like, “Oh my God.” I responded back because I was really excited and I thought I had a great comeback and somebody else who was on the chain responded and said, “Hey man, that’s not the real Donald Trump, that’s a fake account.” But you know what? It felt really good for a second thinking I was venting on Donald Trump.
How has Trump impacted comedy internationally?
Trump is great for comedy and horrible for the world. Personally, I’m at a tipping point of being able to handle any more from him, and he’s relentless. It just keeps coming out! And as comedians we need time to develop our jokes. He doesn’t give us time! It’s craziness. Not just in the Middle East, but around the world the one thing you have to give the guy is he has done a great job of publicizing himself to the point where I would make an argument that he is currently the most well known person in the world. He’s done a really good job of marketing himself and I wish he would recognize that and step down and go back to selling products based on his image.

Hollyweird Boycott: "Our Souls At Night" starring Hanoi Jane

I will never give that traitor Hanoi Jane any of my money.
From Hollywood Reporter: Love stories are common in Hollywood, with tales of first loves even more ubiquitous.
The new film Our Souls at Night, starring Jane Fonda and Robert Redford, is a romance between two characters who have both lost their first loves and are getting a second chance later in life. “It was a movie about two old people that have an extraordinary relationship and that doesn’t come along that often,” Fonda told The Hollywood Reporter at the film’s New York premiere at The Museum of Modern Art on Wednesday night.
In the adaptation of the Kent Haruf novel of the same name, Redford and Fonda play Louis and Addie, two neighbors that have both lost their spouses. While they’ve been acquaintances for years, the two don’t get to really know each other until Addie comes knocking on Louis’ door with an unusual proposal. She asks if he is interested in sleeping with her. The request is not sexual but instead an attempt for Addie to feel less lonely at night. Louis accepts the offer and a strong bond between the two is created.
Though the characters may be older, they are not done growing as individuals. “I always saw this movie as a coming-of-age story,” director Ritesh Batra said. “Coming-of-age stories are not just for younger people.” The director believes both characters grow in the film and that every generation can experience a coming-of-age story. “I’ve been coming of age every decade in my life in a small way,” he added.
Our Souls at Night, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, will be released in select theaters and on Netflix on Friday (Sept. 29).

Alyssa Milano is fighting to hold Trump accountable for Russia "Collusion"

alyssa milano

Alyssa Milano (r) campaigning for loser Jon Ossoff

Well, it’s not like she is an in-demand actress. Might as well have a graduate of the “independent co-educational institution” (Buckley High School) educate y’all on the concept of “collusion.”
From Daily Beast: If you happened to be strolling the streets of northern Atlanta on March 28, you could have scored a ride from Alyssa Milano.
The star of Who’s the Boss? and Charmed took a break from filming a new CW pilot to drive people to the polls in support of Jon Ossoff, a fresh-faced Democrat hoping to flip Georgia’s 6th congressional district (He LOST). Milano was arguably the most vocal celebrity supporter of the 30-year-old political neophyte, donating her time, money, and 3.1 million strong Twitter account to the cause.
When Ossoff not-so-narrowly lost the special election to Republican Karen Handel, the actress fired off an innocuous tweet—one that, two days later, drew a creepy reply from Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), winking face emoji and all.
“My initial reaction was that I had to check the account four times to make sure it wasn’t a parody account. I was like, ‘This is really coming from Ted Cruz?!’” recalls Milano. “I think what he was doing was actually giving me a dig, right? I think it was a dig…but it didn’t surprise anyone coming from Ted Cruz.”
The Bensonhurst native swiftly put the Campbell’s Chunky Soup-loving lawmaker in his place.
Yes, when it comes to ‘80s TV icons the right may have Chachi but the left has Milano, who’s been gracing our television screens since she was 11 (her new series, Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later, premieres on Netflix August 4). And in the wake of her Ossoff campaigning, she’s decided to launch a website—along with actor Misha Collins—that “allows you to contact your representative, via phone, email or video, and demand they take action now” and “hold the Trump administration accountable for collusion with Russia.” Its slogan—or hashtag—is #patriotnotpartisan.
“It’s very easy to sit behind our computers and bitch about the administration, but in everything I do I want to empower people to make a difference and know in themselves that they can make a difference,” Milano tells me.
“And this concept of ‘collusion’ and Russia is a very obscure concept for people to really grasp, so I hope this campaign puts into words what’s really going on in a simple way so that other people can grasp the concepts,” she continues. “In particular, this idea of ‘patriot not partisan’ is very near and dear to my heart because I feel like the far-right has hijacked the word ‘patriot,’ and it upsets me. I’m not any less of a patriot because my ideas are different.”
Milano, who is 44, created the website in response to all of the curious connections between the Trump camp and Russia—ones that are currently being investigated by the Department of Justice under special counsel Robert Mueller.
