Most and least narcissistic U.S. presidents

arrogance
No, it’s not Barack Obama, although we all know he would win that dubious distinction, hands down.
That’s because the psychologists who did the study oh-so-conveniently excluded the POS from its rating.
Rich Morin reports for Pew Research Center, Nov. 14, 2013, that Lyndon Johnson leads the list of 42 presidents on measures of “grandiose narcissism,” according to a new study by a team of psychologists published online by the journal Psychological Science.
Obama was not rated.
The top ten most narcissistic presidents and their political party IDs are:

  1. Lyndon Johnson (D)
  2. Teddy Roosevelt (R)
  3. Andrew Jackson (D)
  4. Franklin D. Roosevelt (D)
  5. John F. Kennedy (D)
  6. Richard Nixon (R)
  7. Bill Clinton (D)
  8. Chester A. Arthur (R)
  9. Andrew Johnson (D)
  10. Woodrow Wilson (D)

The ten least narcissistic presidents are:

33. James Garfield (R)
34. William McKinley (R)
35. Rutherford B. Hayes (R)
36. James Madison (Democratic Republican)
37. William Howard Taft (R)
38. Calvin Coolidge (R)
39. Ulysses S. Grant (R)
40. Grover Cleveland (D)
41. James Monroe (Democratic Republican)
42. Millard Fillmore (Whig)

The researchers also found that, unsurprisingly, presidents on average are more narcissistic than the average American. Moreover, presidents are getting more and more grandiosely narcissistic in recent decades.
Grandiose narcissism is a distinctive type of narcissism characterized by exhibitionism, attention-seeking, inflated demands of entitlement and denial of weaknesses.
To compile their rankings of most and least grandiosely narcissistic presidents, these researchers assembled data from three major sources:
1. The heart of their analysis is data collected as part of an earlier study of the personality characteristics of all U.S. presidents through Bill Clinton, which they supplemented with data on George W. Bush. For this earlier study, 120 “expert raters” evaluated presidents by filling out standardized personality tests, using their knowledge of the presidents to inform their answers. The raters included historians, presidential biographers and other scholars. For each president that fell within their area of expertise, these raters answered nearly 600 questions on the personality and behavior of their president or presidents. The questionnaire included measures that are used to diagnose various psychological conditions, including grandiose narcissism. Separate questions assessed other aspects of presidential character including unethical behavior.
(A caveat:  Comparing one president’s ranking with another should be done cautiously because raters only evaluated presidents they were knowledgeable about and not all first executives. Beyond that, these ratings are based, in part, on personal opinions, albeit the judgments of well-informed experts—another reason for caution.)
2. The research team supplemented these data with historical surveys of presidential performance. They included a 2009 C-SPAN survey of 64 historians who rated the presidents on 10 dimensions, including overall job performance, persuasiveness and crisis management. They also analyzed a 2010 Siena College survey of 238 historians who ranked the presidents on 20 dimensions of performance and an academic study summarizing a dozen rankings of the presidents.
3. Finally they added object measures of presidential performance to this statistical stew.  These included overall share of the vote, number of terms and total years served, scandals in office and whether the president was subject of one or more congressional impeachment resolutions.
The research team found that a generous helping of inflated self-worth is like a double-edged sword in that grandiosity has both positive and negative effects on a presidency:

  • On the one hand, Ashley L. Watts and her colleagues found grandiose narcissism was associated with “superior overall greatness” as measured by historians’ rankings of presidential stature and “positively associated with public persuasiveness, crisis management, agenda setting and allied behaviors.” And when they looked at objective measures of presidential performance, researchers found that grandly narcissistic presidents won a larger share of the vote and initiated more legislation than less self-infatuated first executives.
  • But there’s also a dark side to grandiose narcissism. Leaders ranking higher on this narcissism measure also were more likely to be the targets of impeachment resolutions (Richard Nixon stood sixth on the list, just behind Kennedy) and engage in unethical behavior (Bill Clinton ranked seventh).

The researchers also ran their data by using the index to clinically diagnose narcissistic personality disorder (NPD). No matter. Lyndon Johnson still leads the presidential pack, again finishing first on the NPD index.
Here’s the list:
narcissisticPresidents

Lyndon JohnsonNarcissists lack empathy. So it’s not surprising that Lyndon Johnson cruelly yanked a beagle up by its ears, while bystanders fawned.

Boston University history professor Robert Dallek undertook 14 years of research for his two-volume biography of Lyndon B. Johnson, Flawed Giant. In an article for The Atlantic, “Three New Revelations About LBJ,” Dallek described Johnson as “urinating in a sink, inviting people into his bathroom, showing off his abdominal scar, exposing his private parts.”
Since pathological narcissists have constructed a grandiose false self, they are alienated from their true self. Beneath their arrogant strutting veneer, narcissists actually feel empty inside.
Johnson was no different. His press secretary Bill Moyers said Lyndon Johnson had “an unfillable hole in his ego.” Feelings of emptiness spurred him to eat, drink, and smoke to excess. Sexual conquests also helped to fill the void. He was a competitive womanizer. When people mentioned John F. Kennedy’s many affairs, Johnson would bang the table and declare that he had more women by accident than Kennedy ever had on purpose.

Liberal Tyranny: Praying for homosexuals is "hate"

Remember my post of May 22, on an internal document of President Lucifer’s Department of Justice (DOJ) titled “LGBT Inclusion at Work: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Managers”?
The document puts managers on notice that if they react with silence to an employee coming out as LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transsexual), their “silence will be interpreted as disapproval.” In other words, the only acceptable behavior toward LGBTs is no longer just tolerance or acceptance, nothing less than our vocal OUTSPOKEN APPROVAL will do.
Here’s more evidence of the new liberal tyranny.
Please watch this short video:
[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=-Qli86oRVdw]
Homosexuals are calling Amber Dee Parker’s God Made Dad & Mom, the children’s picture book described in the video, as “teaching kids to hate LGBT families” and an attack on “LGBT equality.”
In an article for the gay publication Advocate, titled “New Antigay Children’s Book Teaches Kids to Hate LGBT Families,” Jase Pepples writes:

A new picture book by Amber Dee Parker and Hannah Sequra attempts to battle messages of LGBT equality with a warm and fuzzy brand of hatred, reports Good as You.
Endorsed by the American Family Association, God Made Dad & Mom tells the story of a young boy named Michael who prays for his classmate Jimmy and his two dads to learn “the truth” about how God made them after a trip to the zoo where he’s told all animal families “consist of a male, a female, and their offspring.”

Yup. To the enraged Left, praying for our neighbors is now a form of hate.
But selling Baby Jesus butt-plugs and religious dildos isn’t hate.

An attribute of pathological narcissists is that they “require excessive admiration” (American Psychological Association’s DSM IV). That is why narcissists overreact with rage to any perceived criticism. Nothing less than 100% approval will do.

In his seminal essay, “On Narcissism,” Sigmund Freud observed that all human beings, when they are children, go through a period of “primary narcissism”: The child is the most important object and the center of his/her universe. Most of us grow out of that early narcissism to a healthy adulthood. In some cases, however, their psychological development is disrupted and stunted, and so they remain stuck in primary narcissism — now a pathological form of excessive self-regard and self-absorption. Freud understood homosexuality as being an example of pathological narcissism in adulthood.
Cardinal Giacomo Biffi had warned that “The attacks on freedom of thought start with language. Those who do not resign themselves to accept ‘homophilia’ … are charged with ‘homophobia’.” Freudianism is no longer the flavor-of-the-month in psychology. But the DOJ’s Orwellian document and the LGBT reaction to a little children’s picture book would suggest that Freud was right.

Drunken actress Reese Witherspoon reveals narcissism of Hollywood

For your Friday amusement….
Having a grandiose overblown view of oneself, and expecting special treatment are both traits of the Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
Alcohol lowers a person’s inhibitions. That is why when one is inebriated, often the truth comes tumbling out. That’s what happened on April 19, 2013, in Atlanta, Georgia, when police stopped a car that was weaving and swerving, and arrested actress Reese Witherspoon for drunken disorderliness and her husband, Jim Toth, for DUI. These dashboard cam videos recording the incident are a glimpse into the narcissistic grandiosity of too many in the entertainment industry.
In the first video, while Georgia State Trooper First Class J. Pyland is gives Toth a sobriety test, Witherspoon keeps getting out of her car. Trooper Pyland tells her no fewer than five times to stay in the couple’s vehicle. But Witherspoon claims she needs to get out to urinate because she’s pregnant. That was a lie because she later confessed on “GMA” that she had panicked and said “crazy things” because her husband was being arrested. “I even told him I was pregnant. I am not pregnant!”
[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-euB53cOKY&feature=player_embedded]
Despite the trooper’s commands, Witherspoon gets out of the car and begins arguing with the officer who promptly arrests her. This is when Witherspoon goes into a narcissistic rage: “”Do you know my name sir? OK, you’re about to find out who I am! I’m a U.S. citizen… I’m allowed to stand on American ground and ask any question I want to ask. You’re harassing me as an American citizen. You better not arrest me.
[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=g9fwe_NEerE]
The next day, a sobered-up Witherspoon did apologize profusely. But was that the real Reese Witherspoon speaking? Or is the real Reese Witherspoon unmasked in those dashcam videos?
On May 2, Toth plead guilty and was ordered to complete 40 hours of community service, an alcohol education program, and one year of probation; Witherspoon plead no contest and was fined $213.
Witherspoon‘s parents are both highly educated: her father is an ear-nose-throat specialist; her mother is a professor of nursing. Their daughter, however, seems to have a penchant for playing fast-and-loose with the truth.
She claims descent from Scottish-born John Witherspoon, who signed the United States Declaration of Independence, but her claim has been disproved by the Society of the Descendants of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence genealogists. Born in New Orleans, Witherspoon says she is proud of her Southern upbringing because it taught her about “being conscientious about people’s feelings, being polite, being responsible and never taking for granted what you have in your life.”
According to US Weekly, Witherspoon is a registered Democrat and has donated money to Obama’s campaign. She revealed that she and her How Do You Know? costar Paul Rudd were star struck during a White House visit. “Obama came out and he turned to Paul and said, ‘I loved you in I Love You Man.’ I grabbed Paul and was like, ‘Are you freaking out right now?’ He’s like, ‘I’m freaking out!'” Witherspoon recalled. [Gag! Barf! Gag!]

You're a racist if you say Michelle has a big butt

The Emperor’s New Clothes is a short story by Hans Christian Andersen published in 1837. It is a story about vanity, servility, and the courage to speak the truth.
A vain Emperor who cares for nothing except wearing and displaying clothes, hires two deceiving tailors who promise him the finest, best suit of clothes made from a special fabric invisible to anyone who is unfit for his position or “hopelessly stupid”. The two swindlers “finished” the suit and mime putting it on the Emperor. The Emperor and his ministers cannot see the clothing themselves, but pretend that they can for fear of appearing stupid or unfit for their positions. The Emperor, in his new “suit,” marches through the town before his subjects. The townsfolk all play along with the pretense. Except a child in the crowd who hasn’t yet been corrupted and blurts out the truth: “The Emperor is wearing no clothes!”
Today, that innocent child would be called a racist.
Take a look at these pics of FLPOS Moochie. The photos have not been photoshopped or what the White House delicately calls “manipulated.”

panti line2shorts2Michelle Kid's choice award 3_31_12At the Kids’ Choice Award, March 31, 2012

You would have to be blind to not notice that Mooch has a big (polite word for “fat”) butt.
How dare you!!!!
If you notice or say or write that the FLPOS has a big fat butt, you’re a RAAAAACIST!

writes oh-so-piously for The Washington Post, February 4, 2013, that “They’re at it again.” By “they,” Thompson means anyone who points out the FLPOS has a big posterior.
People like conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh who “has repeatedly called her Michelle “My Butt” Obama. And Rep. F. James Sensenbrenner, the Wisconsin Republican, issued an apology after he was caught commenting on her ‘large posterior.'”
People like Alabama high school football coach Bob Grisham, who called the first lady “Fat butt Michelle Obama,” when he ranted against fat butt’s promotion of low-calorie school lunches as the federal government meddling in local business. Alas, Grisham was surreptitiously recorded by one of his students, saying “Look at her. She looks like she weighs 185 or 190. She’s overweight.”
Although Grisham apologized for having misspoken, he was suspended on Feb. 4, 2013.Thompson of Washington Post then trots out a whole retinue of “experts” to lecture to us:

  • Ayana Byrd, the co-editor of the anthology Naked: Black Women Bare All About Their Skin, Hair, Hips, Lips and Other Part, says: “We have a history in this country of white people not showing adequate respect for and devaluing the bodies of black women, and this most definitely falls in line with that.”
  • The focus on this first lady’s posterior has historical antecedents. It reaches back to the imagery of Hottentot Venus, a woman from what is now South Africa whose naked body and pronounced posterior were paraded in shows throughout 19th-century Europe. On to the selling and trading of black women’s bodies through slavery. In modern times, black women’s figures continue to be up for public discussion in ways that are celebratory (see: “Brick House” by The Commodores) and insulting (see above).
  • Andra Gillespie, an associate professor of political science at Emory University, says the first lady’s critics “are using it as a code to racialize Michelle Obama and remind people that she’s black. It is unreasonable to expect a nearly 50-year-old woman to have the body of a 25-year-old. She looks great for her age.”

You see, we can’t win, no matter what we do.
In 2008, the Left triumphantly declared Obama to be America’s “first black president!” But if you so much as say what your eyes tell you — that Michelle Obama has a big butt — you are “racializing” the first lady, “reminding people that she’s black”!
The only acceptable thing to do is to heap praises on the POS and the FLPOS and anyone who is black — all the time, with no exception or pause.
Did you know that “Expecting constant praise and admiration” and being hypersensitive to any perceived criticism are among the defining attributes of the Narcissistic Personality Disorder?

Obama went to bed after being told about Benghazi attack as it was happening

On September 11, 2001, President George W. Bush was told that a passenger plane had flown into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York, followed by another. Bush then promptly went to bed.

No, that didn’t happen. But if it had, we’d still be hearing the outcry from the MSM.

4 days ago, on September 21, 2012, a Fox News Special Report conveyed the startling news that Barry Soetoro Obama was informed about the attack on our consulate in Benghazi, Libya, within 90 minutes of it beginning.

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=dMW0pr296C8]

B.S. Obama undoubtedly was told that the attacks involved AK-47s and rocket-propelled grenades, and that our consulate staff were in grave danger, including our ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens. And yet, knowing all this and not knowing the status of Ambassador Stevens, B.S. Obama went quietly to bed.

Amb. Stevens’ body being dragged through the streets of Benghazi

Daniel Greenfield of Right Side News, Sept. 23, 2012, writes:

“Forget the 3 AM phone call. Obama couldn’t even be trusted with an 11 PM phone call. They say that only a man with a clear conscience, or no conscience at all, can sleep this way. But hey, he had to be rested for the next fundraiser and the next party. Jay-Z and Beyonce, unlike dead ambassadors and Libyan militias, actually matter.”

I don’t know why Greenfield is so upset with B.S. Obama. After all, the POS himself told CBS 60 Minutes that the attacks on our embassies and consulates and the killing of Amb. Stevens and three other Americans (Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods, and Glen Doherty) are mere “bumps in the road“.

A lack of empathy is one of the defining attributes of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. B.S. Obama is a narcissist without empathy for other people. Remember his inappropriate laughter throughout his interview on the economy with Steve Kroft on CBS’ “60 Minutes” in March 2009? Kroft got so exasperated, he said to the POS:

“You’re sitting here. And you’re– you are laughing. You are laughing about some of these problems.”

Empathy is putting ourselves in another’s “shoes” so that we feel at least some of what another is feeling. Developmental psychologists tell us that empathy is an inborn trait of human beings: Even newborn babies display a primitive form of empathy called “global (or diffused) empathy” when they cry upon hearing another baby cry.

Philosophers and ethicists tell us empathy is the basis of our morality: “Do to others as you would have others done unto you”. This is why psychopaths and sociopaths not only lack empathy, they are also remorseless — without a conscience.

All of which means there’s something very wrong with B.S. Obama. Simply put, we have a monster in the White House.

Obama got booed in Boston

CBSW Boston reports that being booed was probably the last thing Barack Obama expected from the crowd at a Symphony Hall fundraiser last night (June 25), but boos he got.
That’s because the POS had the arrogant insensitivity to “thank” Boston for Kevin Youkilis, who was just traded to the Chicago White Sox, which is Obama’s favorite team.
The POS said, laughing, “I’m just saying, he’s going to have to change the color of his socks.”
Youkilis was traded from the Red Sox, to Obama’s favorite team just a day ago, on Sunday, for infielder Brent Lillibridge and pitcher Zach Stewart. Youkilis went 1-for-4 with a single in his White Sox debut Monday night, but Chicago lost to the Twins, 4-1.

“I love me! I love me! I love only me!”

But then the POS was being totally in character. One of the defining attributes of the Narcissistic Personality Disorder is a lack of empathy — putting oneself in another’s shoes and feeling what he/she feels. Our human ability to empathize with others is the basis of morality: Do to others as you would have others do unto you. A lack of empathy also characterizes other personality disorders, including the Anti-Social Personality Disorder, more commonly known as sociopathy and psychopathy.
Tickets for the POS’s fundraiser at Symphony Hall cost between $250 and $2,500.
Those fools and the POS deserve each other!

A product of the "Self Esteem" movement

In the 1980s, public government schools began promoting the self esteem movement.
Here’s one product.
[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENPXSVyO6Yc&feature=player_embedded]
In 2007, five psychologists unveiled the results of their comprehensive study of U.S. college students who would have grown up being indoctrinated in the self esteem movement. Based on the responses of 16,475 college students nationwide who completed an evaluation called the Narcissistic Personality Inventory between 1982 and 2006, the study found that today’s college students are more narcissistic and self-centered than their predecessors, which has troubling implications for society.
“We need to stop endlessly repeating, ‘You’re special,’ and having children repeat that back,” said Jean Twenge , the study’s lead author and a professor at San Diego State University. “Kids are self-centered enough already.”
Self esteem can only come from real achievements. Unearned self-esteem leads only to grandiose narcissism.
That would explain why young Americans are also lacking in empathy.
A Univ. Michigan ISR meta-study in 2010, summarizing 72 other studies of college students’ empathy, concluded that American college students are 40% less empathic than in 1979 with the biggest declines coming in the last decade. They found especially large drops in “empathic concern”.
One of the distinguishing traits of the Narcissistic Personality Disorder is that narcissists, imagining themselves to be superior than others, lack empathy. A deficit in empathy also characterizes sociopaths and psychopaths.

Caroline Kennedy has seller's remorse about Obama

In the 2008 presidential campaign, despite his murky personal history of Marxist friends and associates, a junior U.S. senator of only two years named Barack Hussein Obama was elected to the presidency of the most powerful country on Earth.
Obama’s election was due in no small part to Ted and Caroline Kennedy, who sprinkled their “Camelot” stardust on the political neophyte with their enthusiastic endorsement.

He was just using you, Caroline

Writing in the New York Times, Caroline Kennedy — the only surviving child of former President John F. Kennedy — delivered this rousing endorsement of Obama: “I have never had a president who inspired me the way people tell me that my father inspired them. But for the first time, I believe I have found the man who could be that president — not just for me, but for a new generation of Americans.”
Three years into Obama’s presidency, however, the same Caroline Kennedy now regrets her endorsement. She now calls Obama “a liar”.
Jonathan M. Seidl reports for The Blaze, May 14, 2012, that in an explosive new book The Amateur, author Edward Klein asserts that the Kennedy family was bitterly divided in 2008. While Ted and Caroline went for Obama, Robert Kennedy Jr., son of the former Attorney General, and his sisters Kathleen Kennedy Townsend and Kerry Kennedy, were supporters of Hillary Clinton.
Fast forward to 2012. Caroline has undergone a transformation after several snubbings by the Obamas. She especially feels insulted by one particular snubbing, when a vacationing Obama refused to meet with her despite her home being in the vicinity near Martha’s Vineyard.
Author Edward Klein quotes a family member on Caroline’s transformation:

“Through these [spies that the Kennedy family has in the Obama administration] and other people, Caroline heard back that there was a lot of nasty shit being said about the Kennedys by the president and Michelle. There were catty remarks about how badly the Kennedy women dressed, and how their houses were shabby and threadbare. Caroline got the impression that most of this negativity was coming from Michelle, who didn’t want the Kennedys to be part of the administration for fear that they would have too much influence over the president.

Gradually, Carline began to change her tune and side with Bobby and Kathleen [Kennedy Townsend] against the Obamas. Unlike Jackie, who was completely a-political, Carline is a liberal with a capital L. When Obama didn’t raise taxes to balance the  budget, Caroline marked him down. In her eyes, he‘s a mess because he doesn’t follow the liberal bible on politics. More important, Caroline discovered that the Obamas didn’t give a damn about her support. […]

It really annoyed Caroline when comparisons were made by the media between Michelle and Jackie. Caroline had a word for such comparisons; she called them ‘odious.’ She really got annoyed. And when she began to fall out of love with the Obamas, love was replaced by outright scorn. Now she says things about Obama like, ‘I can’t stand to hear his voice any more. He’s a liar and worse.’”

Ethel Kennedy, “the matriarch of the family,” similarly felt scorned, according to Klein. He tells a story of her invitation — extended to the First Family — being ignored by the Obamas. She got so upset “that she went on a rampage inside her house, cursing the president and turning over furniture.”
And to top it all off, Caroline believes “that as a loyal Democrat, she has nowhere to go, no one else to possibly support except Obama” and “the Obamas know that she has nowhere else to go, so they see no point in being nice to her.”
+++
From Edward Klein’s account, one concludes that what ticked off Caroline and Ethel Kennedy is not an ideological or political difference with Obama. What irks the two women is Obama’s “snubbing” them, that is, the two women’s vanity is pricked. In psychological parlance, Caroline Kennedy is now disillusioned about Obama because she has sustained a “narcissistic injury.”
Among the criterial attributes listed by the American Psychological Association’s Diagnostic Statistical Manual for the Narcissistic Personality Disorder are:

  • has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements);
  • believes that he or she is “special” and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions);
  • is interpersonally exploitive, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends;
  • lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others;
  • shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes.

These attributes are descriptive of the Obamas (Barry and Moochelle), but also of the Kennedys.
Being “interpersonally exploitive,” Obama exploited Caroline Kennedy for her endorsement in 2008, after which he no longer has use for her. And so, he couldn’t even be bothered to visit Caroline when the Obamas summer-vacationed in the Kennedy playground, Martha’s Vineyard.
Good grief. Did Caroline actually imagine the Obamas to have gratitude or empathy? — to “recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others”?
In the end, in the eyes of Barack and especially Michelle, Caroline and the other Kennedys are nothing more than a bunch of privileged white people.

Tsk, tsk. Aren't we a touchy thin-skinned President

  • “Has a grandiose sense of self-importance.
  • Requires excessive admiration.
  • Has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with her expectations.
  • Lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings & needs of others.
  • Shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes.”

These are among the traits of the Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD), according to the American Psychological Association’s Diagnostic Statistical Manual IV.
Narcissism is excessive self-love. At the core of the NPD syndrome is the construction of a false self as a way to cope with the external world so as to compensate for the individual’s feelings of insecurity and uncertain self-identity. Like its namesake, the mythic Narcissus who is in love with his reflection in water, the self that the narcissist loves is not his real self, but a false self that is grandiose, perfect, and superior.
Being contrived, the grandiose false self must be vigilantly protected from being pierced by reality. That is why the narcissist reacts to any perceived criticism, no matter how minor or trivial, with a feigned cool indifference or with rage and humiliation. The narcissist simply will not listen to or countenance criticism.
The extraordinary photo below of the President of the United States bickering with the Governor of Arizona was snapped by a pool reporter yesterday in Phoenix airport.

Here’s the “pool report” from Drudge:

OBAMA HAS HEATED ARGUMENT WITH AZ GOV
Wed Jan 25 2012 18:33:56 ET

President Obama arrived in Phoenix at 3:15 pm local time, finding the chilly weather of Iowa giving way to sunny skies and temperatures in the high 60s.

He stepped off Air Force One at 3:28 pm and was greeted by Gov. Jan Brewer. She handed him a handwritten letter in an envelope and they spoke intensely for a few minutes. At one point, she pointed her finger at him.

Afterwards, your pooler spoke with the governor.

“He was a little disturbed about my book, Scorpions for Breakfast. I said to him that I have all the respect in the world for the office of the president. The book is what the book is. I asked him if he read the book. He said he read the excerpt. So.”

Asked what aspect of the book disturbed him, Brewer said: “That he didn’t feel that I had treated him cordially. I said I was sorry he felt that way but I didn’t get my sentence finished. Anyway, we’re glad he’s here. I’ll regroup.”

On the letter, she said it was personal letter asking him to sit down with her to discuss the “Arizona comeback.” She said she “reiterated an invitation that I’ve extended to him before with regards to coming to Arizona and going to the border with me.” She said she would take him to lunch. “We’ve had a remarkable comeback here and I want to share that with him.”

She said the president brought up the book.

I thought we probably would’ve talked about the things that were important to him and important to me, helping one another. Our country is upside down. Arizona was upside down. But we have turned it around. I know again that he loves this country and I love this country.”

It was clear from the moment they greeted one another that this would not be a run-of-the-mill encounter between the president and a local official. At one point, she was pointing her finger at him and at another, they were talking at the same time, seemingly over each other. He appeared to walk away from her while they were still talking, and she confirmed that by saying she didn’t finish her sentence.

When Brewer spoke with your pooler, the AP and an NBC producer for several minutes afterwards, she appeared a bit flustered and taken aback by the conversation. Asked if she was, that’s when Brewer said, “I’ll regroup.”

Karl Rove Confirms Obama is a Grandiose Narcissist

Jim Meyers and Kathleen Walter report for NewsMax.com, Nov. 29, 2011, that former George W. Bush presidential adviser Karl Rove says Barack Obama is so arrogant, he doesn’t consider himself a “mere mortal.”
In an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV, Rove was asked if he has heard reports that Obama is a “loner.”
“I not only heard it, I had to deal with it,” he responds.
“During my time in the White House my job was to try to develop an informal relationship with him when he came to the Senate in 2005, and I saw him up close for almost three years.
“My view of him is that he’s incredibly smart. He can, if he wants to, be enormously charming. But he’s also the most self-aware person I’ve ever met in politics, which makes for a deadly combination. He is arrogant and aloof and diffident and doesn’t believe he needs to get his hands dirty with the normal work of mortals. He’s not a mere mortal in his mind.
“He’s developed no long-term and deep connection with the [Democratic] leadership. They like him, they respect him for having returned the White House to Democratic hands. But there’s none of the close friendship and close working relationship that you’d expect the president to develop with individual members of Congress.”
This is not news to those of us who have tried in vain to warn our countrymen sheeple about this, beginning in 2008.
That a grandiose narcissist is in the White House has frightening implications.
A narcissist is someone with a grandiose false self-image. This means Obama’s self-perception is skewed, which in turn means he has problems with reality assessment. The erroneous assessment isn’t restricted to his self-perception but speaks to an overall cognitive impairment, which means that we have no assurance of his ability to correctly perceive reality — of America and the world.
