MS-13 gang member sentenced to decades in prison for role in 2015 murder

From Fox News: A member of the violent MS-13 street gang was sentenced Monday to more than 22 years in federal prison for his role in the death of a gang associate suspected of being an informant.

Jose Andrade, 27, also received three years of probation and will be subject to deportation to his native El Salvador upon completion of his sentence, according to federal prosecutors.

Andrade, who went by the nickname “Inocente,” pleaded guilty in March to charges of racketeering conspiracy involving murder and conspiracy to distribute marijuana.

Prosecutors claimed Andrade was involved in planning the July 2015 murder in Lawrence of a teenager who was wrongly suspected by gang members of cooperating with law enforcement. Investigators said Andrade planned to take part in the killing himself, but could not do so because he was arrested the previous month.

Authorities say that Andrade is one of 49 defendants who have been convicted as part of a crackdown on MS-13 by federal, state and local officials. Of those defendants, 16 have been found to have “committed or knowingly participated in murders.”

Alleged MS-13 gang member asks Canadian court to reverse deportation because he’s afraid tattoos will get him killed

From Fox News: A Toronto man scheduled to be kicked out of Canada for being a member of MS-13 has asked officials not to deport him because his skull, knuckle and body tattoos could cost him his life in his native El Salvador.

René Pacheco was granted a temporary reprieve after successfully arguing that his tattoos would make him the target of rival gangs and law enforcement officials in the small Central American country.

Pacheco is a permanent resident in Canada and has not lived in El Salvador for 20 years but is not a Canadian citizen.

The 25-year-old, who goes by the nickname “Machete,” was arrested in 2016 on a number of criminal charges. While in custody and awaiting trial, Canada Border Services Agency officers interviewed him.

It was during that meeting, the National Post first reported, that Pacheco allegedly bragged to agents about his ties to the notorious gang. MS-13, short for La Mara Salvatrucha, is primarily composed of immigrants and descendants from El Salvador and is widely known for their extreme brutality.

Pacheco allegedly showed officers a tattoo of the number 13 on the back of his hand, a teardrop inking on his face as well as a number of other permanent markings on his body. He told agents he was initiated into the gang by surviving a 13-second beating. His Facebook page even featured gang graffiti and signs.

Pacheco’s story was believable enough for officers to order his deportation for being a member of a criminal organization. But he then changed his story and denied all ties to the gang.

“I made a bad decision getting these tattoos not knowing it was going to relate to this,” Pacheco said at an immigration hearing in 2017.

He claimed the number 13 tattooed on him was merely his “lucky number” and said the teardrop on his face was a tribute to his father who was murdered in El Salvador. Pacheco also claimed he learned about MS-13 by watching YouTube videos and said he was on drugs when he spoke to CBSA agents from his jail cell.

“I am not a member,” he said. “I made a mistake… Innocent people are dying back in my country and here I am getting these tattoos thinking it’s a joke not realizing the consequences that it brings.”

A federal court judge didn’t buy his reversal and upheld his deportation sentence.

Running out of time, Pacheo applied for a Pre-Removal Risk Assessment, a last-ditch effort to remain in the country.

“I understand that if someone arrives in El Salvador with tattoos and they think they are in a gang they can kill them, torture them or immediately throw them in prison,” he said in his appeal. “I can be the target of gangs there for trying to impersonate them. Therefore my life is in danger and I have no hope of being protected.”

His petition was denied.

He appealed the decision to a federal court and was granted a temporary stay. Judge E. Susan Elliott noted that Pacheo’s tattoos were a catalyst for a perceived risk and ordered a new assessment by a different officer.

In coming to her decision, Elliott noted a U.S. Department of State report that highlighted the “arbitrary deprivation of life” gang members face by authorities.

“This was particularly important as he would be returned to El Salvador for being a member of the MS-13 gang, despite his post-interview denials of such membership,” she wrote in her decision.

Philly mayor blasted for celebrating sanctuary ruling, despite past crimes tied to illegal aliens

From Fox News: The Philadelphia mayor, blasted by the White House after being filmed dancing in celebration after a judge ruled in favor of its sanctuary city status, was doing so because it was an “important moment for all Philadelphians,” his office said Friday, despite the city’s recent history of illegal immigrant alien-related crime.
A video tweeted by Mayor James Kenney’s deputy chief of staff showed him giddy after U.S. District Judge Michael Baylson ruled Wednesday that the Trump administration can’t withhold grants to the city over policies that limit local law enforcement’s cooperation with federal immigration officials.
“Mayor Kenney displayed excitement because it was an important moment for all Philadelphians, especially our immigrant community,” Deana Gamble, his communications director, told Fox News on Friday.
Gamble said the city’s policies are designed to ensure individuals’ constitutional rights are protected. “Philadelphia does not protect or harbor criminals and the judge also found that Philadelphia has historically cooperated [with] federal law enforcement agencies in fighting crime, which is beyond dispute and widely known,” she added.
Philadelphia previously has said it will only hand illegal immigrants over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents if they show a warrant signed by a judge.
But ICE, as recently as May, have been carrying out operations in the Philadelphia metro region that it says target “criminal aliens, public safety threats, and individuals who have violated our nation’s immigration laws.”
“Many people in Philadelphia have been killed, raped or assaulted at the hands of criminal illegal aliens,” White House spokesman Hogan Gidley told Fox News yesterday, calling Kenney’s dance “disgusting.”
Outside of the raids, illegal immigrants aliens who have committed crimes or fugitives who have been deported from the Philadelphia area in recent years include:

  • Milton Mateo Garcia, who was sentenced in 2016 to up for 44 years in state prison after being convicted two years earlier of raping a young woman in Philadelphia’s Center City neighborhood. Garcia, a restaurant kitchen worker from Honduras, came to be known as the “Rittenhouse rapist” after he grabbed a 26-year-old woman by her neck outside of her apartment and pushed her inside, where he sexually assaulted her. Federal officials at the time said Garcia, 28, had been living in Philadelphia illegally and had already been deported at least once before he targeted the woman. Following the announcement of the lengthy sentence, Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams said “Garcia does not belong on Philadelphia’s streets and, as a result of today’s sentencing, he won’t be anymore.”
  • Darlin Navarro-Turcos, also from Honduras, who was sent back to the Central American country in 2015 after being convicted of assault in association with the stabbing death of a man on a Philadelphia street a year earlier. Navarro-Turcios, who had been going by the alias Darlin Mendoza-Sanders, served a year in jail over the attack and had entered the country illegally in March 2003, ICE said. Prior to the murder, he was convicted of driving under the influence. “The crime this criminal alien is associated with is heinous,” said Tom Decker, director of ICE’s Philadelphia Enforcement and Removal Operations office.
  • Edwin Estuardo Martinez-Ortega, who as an 18-year-old was deported from Philadelphia in 2014. Martinez-Ortega was identified by ICE as a fugitive wanted on murder charges in his native country of Guatemala, and was picked up by agents after they found him at a barber shop in Warminster, just north of Philadelphia. ICE said they were tracking his presence in the area after his brother Nectali Ortega-Duarte was arrested in 2011 and deported to Guatemala on charges linked to the same crime.

Federal authorities said they swept up 49 immigrants in the Philadelphia metro area in late May of this year during a “targeted enforcement operation” aimed at “criminal aliens, immigration fugitives, re-entrants, and other immigration violators.”
“This operation resulted in multiple arrests of criminal aliens, public safety threats, and individuals who have violated our nation’s immigration laws,” Philadelphia Acting Field Office Director Gregory Brawley said after the sweep. “Some of these dangerous individuals had been released to the streets instead of being turned over to ICE on our detainers, which compromises the safety of the homeland that ICE officers strive to protect every day.”
ICE did not reveal the identities of those taken into custody, but said they included a 52-year-old Mexican illegal immigrant alien who was charged with simple assault and terroristic threats, and a 26-year-old Haitian illegal immigrant alien who had been “convicted in the Common Pleas Court at Philadelphia, of robbery, possession of an instrument of crime, simple assault, and criminal attempt-theft by unlawful taking.”

Maxine Waters says Trump's speeches should come with parental advisory warnings

Crazy talk.
From Daily Mail: Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters  says President Donald Trump‘s public remarks should come with a parental advisory.
Waters called Trump a ‘racist’ and said he is a ‘terrible role model for our children’ in a response to Trump’s State of the Union address that aired during a BET special on Wednesday evening. ‘Whenever he appears on TV there should be a disclaimer that says “This may be may not be acceptable for children,” ‘ she said.
A vocal opponent of Trump’s in Congress, Waters called for his impeachment last month after he was accused of calling Haiti and African nations ‘s**hole countries’ in a conversation on immigration.
Hounding him on Wednesday for the comment Trump says he did not make, Waters said his ‘vulgarity and his disrespect for women and people of color’ warrants a disclaimer.
At a luncheon with network anchors on Tuesday afternoon Trump mused that he wants to unify the country. ‘I want to see our country united. I want to bring our country back from a tremendous divisiveness,’ he said, ‘which has taken place not just over one year, over many years, including the Bush years, not just Obama.’
The annual event preceded the president’s State of the Union address, which the White House said would be bipartisan in tone.
A line on immigration reform and Trump’s desire to restrict migration to nuclear families had Democrats hissing, though.
Democrats were also chagrined about a reference Trump made to MS-13 and the gang’s recruitment tactics. They accused Trump of falsely equating vicious murders with Dreamers, the illegal immigrant youth who came to the United States as children.
Waters said ‘it’s impossible to believe’ Trump when ‘he tries to declare that he wants to bring the country together’ because he has ‘divided the country in ways that no other modern president has done.’
‘One speech cannot and does not make Donald Trump presidential. He’s not presidential and he never will be presidential. He claims that he’s bringing people together but make no mistake, he is a dangerous, unprincipled, divisive, and shameful racist,’ she said.
Waters said her remarks are not just a response to Trump’s address, ‘They are a warning to the American people – a warning that this president does not deserve to represent us, and that he’s taken America down the road to isolation and division.’
Acknowledging her impeachment call, a year into Trump’s four years in office, she said, ‘The time is now. We must organize, challenge and resist.’

BREITBART

COLLECT MORE THAN $7,000 PER MONTH FOR ‘FOSTERING’ ADULT ILLEGAL ALIENS

 29 Jul 2014

HOUSTON, Texas–The federal government is in dire need of U.S. citizens willing to house the thousands of illegal immigrants who enter the country each week, and they are willing to pay them to do so.

The Texas-based nonprofit Catholic Charities is currently seeking out foster families for the migrants, most of whom come from Central America. Ruth Braiser, a spokeswoman for the organization, told Breitbart Texas that foster families can receive monthly payments for housing adult immigrants who are under 23-years-old.

We need to re-define the term "minors"

Illegal Unaccompanied Minors Being Held For Placement in U.S. Admit to Engaging in Torture and Murder

Katie Pavlich
Despite Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson vowing to “stem the tide” of unaccompanied illegal minors across the southern border with Mexico, thousands more are expected to enter the United States by the end of the year. With the system being overwhelmed, Border Patrol agents are concerned about minors who have admitted to being MS-13 members, a brutal street gang from El Salvador that has been successful in infiltrating American communities. Agents are also concerned about minors who have committed acts like torture and murder in their home countries before heading north to the United States.
“We have six minors in Nogales who have admitted to killing and doing grievous bodily injuries. One admitted to killing as young as eight years old,” an agent tellsTownhall anonymously for fear of losing his job for speaking out. “They are being held for placement in the U.S.”
By U.S. legal standards many gang members operating in Central American countries and traveling north are classified as minors due to being under the age of 18. However, many young males are actively engaged in violent cartel and criminal activity, yet are treated as children when processed through the Department of Human Services or Department of Homeland Security systems.
“But remember, this is a ‘humanitarian crisis.’ They are just kids,” he said in a frustrated and sarcastic tone. “They are MS-13 gang members. They’ve done everything from torture to murder. They act as teenage ‘enforcers.'”

Personally, I prefer the term, “youths,” or as a friend refers to them, “Yutes.” These “youths” are the same age as many of us who were offered an all expense paid vacation to Vietnam in the 1960s. I passed on that opportunity. Point being, these “children” comprise an invading army. Will the “child” in the picture be seen driving one of our hyper-militarised police vehicles sometime soon, wearing combat gear, with Obama’s logo?  ~ TD
