Rose McGowan claims the Hollyweird #MeToo movement is BS, only done to make themselves feel better

Left eat left.

From Daily Mail: The actress who kick-started the exposure of Hollywood moguls who allegedly exploited positions of power to abuse women has branded #MeToo campaigners against sex attackers ‘losers’.

Rose McGowan accused producer Harvey Weinstein of rape this time last year, sparking an avalanche of allegations in the entertainment industry and beyond.

As stars such as Kevin Spacey and Morgan Freeman were alleged to have assaulted or harassed performers, activists began using the hashtag to share their ordeals online.

But McGowan has slammed the movement as ‘bull****’ in today’s Sunday Times Magazine, which comes the day after Judge Brett Kavanaugh was sworn in as a Supreme Court justice in the face of historic sexual assault allegations he denies.

After year of stars such as Salma Hayek and Gwyneth Paltrow claiming to be victims of harassment, McGowan has said she understands why Donald Trump supporters hate Hollywood, whose apparent liberalism she says is fake.

On the subject of #MeToo, she said: ‘I just think they’re douchebags. They’re not champions. I just think they’re losers. I don’t like them.  How do I explain the fact that I got a GQ Man of the Year award and no women’s magazines and no women’s organisations have supported me?

‘It’s all bullshit. It’s a lie. It’s a Band-Aid lie to make them feel better. I know these people, I know they’re lily-livered, and as long as it looks good on the surface, to them, that’s enough.’

More from the story:

McGowan has also hit out at Meryl Streep, saying that it is ‘literally impossible’ the actress knew nothing of Weinstein’s sexual proclivities until last autumn. Streep has denied knowing about the producer’s alleged ehavior.

Though she says ‘women have a tight to be angry’, McGowan says #MeToo activists have ‘sold themselves a fiction’ rather than face up to the true nature of Hollywood.

The article continues:

In Brave, McGowan argues that feminism hasn’t reached Hollywood, where 96 per cent of directors are male. She says the industry’s male gaze has little interest in women beyond them being ‘f***able’.

She told the magazine that even watching the movies in question implicates the viewer in the mistreatment.

This is far from the first time McGowan has spoken out on the matter, with the actress being very vocal in her refusal to align herself with either the #MeToo or Time’s Up movements.

Back in January, she hit out at the A-listers who wore black to the Golden Globes to protest the Harvey Weinstein sex scandal by calling the idea nothing but ‘Hollywood fakery.

She tweeted: ‘And not one of those fancy people wearing black to honor our rapes would have lifted a finger had it not been so. I have no time for Hollywood fakery.

She later branded Time’s Up leadership of being ‘fakes’ after they partnered with CAA.

McGowan has claimed that agents at CAA are ‘guilty of human trafficking’ for sending actresses, including Gwyneth Paltrow, to meet Harvey Weinstein in his hotel room. ‘Guess where they meet?’ she tweeted. ‘Who do you think is behind this “great” pr?

‘Why, it’s the company of pimps that sent so many into a the Monster’s Lair themselves. CAA. #TIMESUP fakes.’

McGowan also took issue with the fact that none of the women who first came forward were even asked to attend the Golden Globes ceremony.

Asia Argento stated that she had not been invited, while fellow sexual abuse and harassment accusers Corey Feldman and Rosanna Arquette said they too were ignored by the group.

‘Y was I ignored 2Nite? Do U C the hypocrisy here? Hollywood taking a stand in unity, when I wasn’t invited?’ Feldman asked Argento on Twitter, who replied ‘Don’t worry, I wasn’t invited either.’

She later added: ‘Not only I wasn’t invited to the #GoldenGlobes: nobody asked my opinion about #TIMESUP or to sign the letter. I support @TIMESUPNOW even though I was excluded from it. Guess I am not POWERFUL or HOLLYWOOD enough. Proud to work behind the scenes.’

Arquette, who accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct, also tweeted ‘We weren’t invited. Annabella [Sciorra], Daryl [Hannah], Mira [Sorvino] … none of us were.’

Morgan Freeman Respects His Producing Partner — And Likes Her in a Short Dress

Imagine if a conservative male actor had said this. Liberals’ heads would explode.
morgan freeman
Via Hollywood Reporter: Sexual politics made a surprising appearance Saturday in a panel discussion before an audience of 400 people between Morgan Freeman and his producing partner Lori McCreary, a former tech entrepreneur who is CEO and co-founder with Freeman of Revelations Entertainment.
Recalling their first meeting, Freeman said “she had on a dress cut to here.”
“He’s not a pig, I promise,” interjected moderator and producer Mark Gordon at the Produced By conference session, before adding, “maybe he is.”
Freeman, 79, who was in the news this week for kissing actress Marcia Gay Harden on the lips at a CBS event Thursday, returned to the topic of McCreary’s appearance just moments later.  “She doesn’t want to be thought of as a pretty face,” said Freeman of McCreary. “She wants to be thought of as serious. But you can’t get away from the short dresses.

McCreary and Freeman

McCreary and Freeman

McCreary, who also serves as a president of the Producers Guild, did not visibly react to the comment as she sat next to Freeman. But Gordon remarked that the actor’s comments could be construed as sexist and misogynistic.
“Sexist? Yeah,” said Freeman, “but I’m not misogynistic.” He praised McCreary as a “good person” and “a workaholic.” The trust and admiration between the partners was evident and mutual, with Freeman saying they have “a great relationship” and McCreary using the words “trustworthy” and “integrity” to describe Freeman.
Their company’s name references both the New Testament and a corporate mission to “reveal truths” of people of color not always seen on screen, and the 20-year partnership has produced such successes as Invictus, in which Freeman portrayed Nelson Mandela, the science show Through The Wormhole With Morgan Freeman and the CBS series Madame Secretary, which the partners conceived as they thought about recent female Secretaries of State Hillary Clinton, Condoleezza Rice and Madeleine Albright.
Women “have never been the weaker sex,” said Freeman. “You’re the king at the office,” responded Gordon. “But not at home.”
“She’s the boss,” replied Freeman, referring to McCreary, who runs Revelations on a day to day basis.
The session ranged across topics, from tech – McCreary, a co-founder of software company CompuLaw, is a Netflix fan – to Freeman’s serious neurologic injury (“the only time my hand doesn’t hurt is between ‘action’ and ‘cut,’” he said) to the difficulty even such star actor/producers as Clint Eastwood have in getting movies made.
But the conversation took yet another unusual turn as the three panelists opined that women may make better producers than men. “I think inherently – I might be sexist – my construct is family, bringing people together,” said McCreary. “I’m not saying men aren’t that way.”
“Women have less testosterone,” offered Gordon. “It’s always about the pissing contest” for men, said Freeman.
This prompted Gordon to remark “there’s something we have in common. Morgan and I both like to sit down when we pee.” Freeman agreed. Added Gordon, “we all work hard. If you can sit down when you have a chance, do.”

Morgan Freeman, the great philosopher…

“I think I’m God”

Another liberal actor with a movie coming out, spewing to the media about their deep thoughts.

Morgan Freeman on Inventing God

(The Wrap) You don’t play a lot of villains, but do you think there are villains? Because we always hear that villains don’t think that they’re villains? (Freeman) I think that there is balance in the universe. And these questions are the questions of balance.
This next question may be the hardest, and I’m especially curious about your answer because you’ve played God, and had to guess how God would act… Well, I need to play the devil now, to balance it out. [Laughs.]
Did we invent God? Yes.
So there isn’t a God up in the sky somewhere. We came up with God ourselves. Well, here’s a scientific question: Has anybody ever seen hard evidence? What we get is theories from our earlier prophets. Now, people who think that God invented us think that the Earth can’t be more than 6,000 years old. So I guess it’s a question of belief. My belief system doesn’t support a creator as such, as we can call God, who created us in His/Her/Its image.
Would you consider yourself an atheist, or agnostic? It’s a hard question because as I said at the start, I think we invented God. So if I believe in God, and I do, it’s because I think I’m God.
Would you like to live a thousand years? Absolutely. … You’re just satisfying your curiosity. Imagine if you could live for a thousand years. Considering that — when did the Wright Brothers fly? In the next 200 years, what will we be doing?
Do you think we’ll still be going to movie theaters and watching TV? I could foresee holograms in your living room.
Poor Freeman…just because you played God in a movie does not make you God.

Freeman and his step-granddaughter

Freeman is a 75-year-old man rumored to be having an affair with his 30-year-old step-granddaughter E’dena Hines.  His wife accused him of having an affair with a close friend of hers.  That’s not very God-like behavior now is it?
Last September Freeman said this, ““The Tea Partiers who are controlling the Republican Party…their stated policy, publicly stated, is to do whatever it takes to see to it that Obama only serves one term…What underlines that? Screw the country, we’re going to do whatever we can to get this black man out of here. It is a racist thing.”  Maybe the poor fool hasn’t seen the destruction Skippy has done to our country during the last three years.
As for evidence of God, perhaps he should read some of Sage’s Bible study pages.
