Everyone thinks they are the police: Citizen call shuts down brewery produce sales

Erick Erickson reported on Twitter the following: A restaurant in Macon, GA has been selling its produce to customers who can’t find what they need at the grocery store. Someone has called the law and shut them down because the scale they use in house for cooking isn’t a shop scale for merchandise sales.

From the Piedmont Brewery & Kitchen Instagram post:

“Your daily Mercantile Update is a sad one. As of today the program is suspended.

You see, apparently someone here in town called the Department of Health to tell them that we were breaking rules because we were not using a “for legal trade” scale for the items that we were selling by the pound. That part is true, our scales are not for legal trade because we don’t need scales that are legal trade for our regular business model.

Well, rules are rules and we always do our best to comply. We looked into buying a “for legal trade” scale but the long and cumbersome process to get it certified didn’t make sense given the temporary nature of our Mercantile program.

The bottom line is that some unhappy person has taken advantage of the system, forcing us to shut down the Mercantile program.

This is a real shame because the program was promoting social distancing by helping people avoid the grocery stores. But most importantly, the PBK Mercantile program was providing 1-2 extra jobs for our employees during this tough time. So, congrats unhappy person…….you shut down a great program that was doing nothing but good!

Just think how much worse things can get when people are locked up for ANOTHER FOUR WEEKS and have nothing better to do than “report” on their fellow citizens.

Homosexual actress Ellen Page slams Chris Pratt for attending “infamously anti-LGBTQ” church

Now do followers of Islam, Ellen. I triple-dog-dare you!

From Fox News: Ellen Page slammed Chris Pratt for attending a church she claimed is “infamously anti-LGBTQ” and doubled down on her comments on Saturday.

Page’s criticism came after Pratt appeared on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” and talked about being religious and completing a 21-day fast inspired by the Biblical Prophet Daniel.

“The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” actor frequently attends Zoe Church, which is modeled after Hillsong Church, a megachurch founded in Australia but which has locations in New York City and Los Angeles, the New York Times previously reported. Variety stated Pratt was also a Hillsong church attendee.

Following Pratt’s appearance on the late-night show, Page took to Twitter to criticize Pratt for attending the church, which she did not name. “Oh. K. Um. But his church is infamously anti lgbtq so maybe address that too?” She tweeted along with a Hollywood Reporter article about Pratt’s interview.

On Saturday Page, who came out as gay during a 2014 speech in Las Vegas at a conference for the Human Rights Campaign, doubled down on her comment against Pratt and said the actor should “try and listen” to the LGBTQ community.

“If you are a famous actor and you belong to an organization that hates a certain group of people, don’t be surprised if someone simply wonders why it’s not addressed,” the 31-year-old actress tweeted Saturday. “Being anti LGBTQ is wrong, there aren’t two sides. The damage it causes is severe. Full stop. Sending love to all.

She said in another tweet, “If lgbtq+ people are expressing their pain, their trauma, their experiences … maybe just try and listen? Open your heart, stop being defensive and have compassion. It’s a beautiful and life changing feeling, empathy. Much love truly to all.

Pastor Chad Veach previously told the New York Times he modeled Zoe church after Hillsong, which is popular among celebrities, including Justin Bieber.

Senior pastor Brian Houston at Hillsong previously said in a 2015 statement that the church does “not affirm a gay lifestyle.”

“We do not affirm a gay lifestyle and because of this we do not knowingly have actively gay people in positions of leadership, either paid or unpaid,” he said in a post on the church’s website. “I recognize this one statement alone is upsetting to people on both sides of this discussion, which points to the complexity of the issue for churches all over the world.”

He said that he loves and accepts “people on a personal level.”

“Everyone is welcome at Hillsong church except for known predators, those who are disruptive, or those who have adversarial agendas,” he said, adding that gay people are welcomed at the church but cannot pursue a leadership role.

Page has been outspoken about LGBTQ issues and recently spoke out against the attack on “Empire” star Jussie Smollett. (Maybe you should wait for that investigation to pan out, Ellen. It has yet to be proven that an attack actually did occur.)

Hollyweird feminist Kiera Knightly shames Kate Middleton for her post-birth appearance

Feminists are so bossy: Kiera (r) thinks it’s her job to tell Kate (l) how to dress

Aren’t feminists all about choice? Why can’t Kate decide for herself how she wants to present her heir to the world?

These feminist creatures are miserable and hypocritical people.

From People Magazine: Kate Middleton has dazzled fans three times over with her ultra-polished appearances outside the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital just hours after giving birth. Now actress Keira Knightley is criticizing those appearances as setting an unrealistic expectation for other women.

The 33-year-old actress welcomed her daughter, Edie, just one day before Princess Kate gave birth to her second child, Princess Charlotte, back in 2015. Knightley recalls how her birth experience appeared to differ from Kate’s in an essay titled “The Weaker Sex,” which appears in the collection Feminists Don’t Wear Pink (And Other Lies), curated by the writer and cofounder of The Pink Protest, Scarlett Curtis.

“We stand and watch the TV screen. She [Kate] was out of hospital seven hours later with her face made up and high heels on. The face the world wants to see,” Knightley writes, according to Refinery29.

She continues, “Hide. Hide our pain, our bodies splitting, our breasts leaking, our hormones raging. Look beautiful. Look stylish, don’t show your battleground, Kate. Seven hours after your fight with life and death, seven hours after your body breaks open, and bloody, screaming life comes out. Don’t show. Don’t tell. Stand there with your girl and be shot by a pack of male photographers.

Knightley’s essay, dedicated “to my girl,” begins by intimately describing her daughter’s birth.

“My vagina split,” she starts. “You came out with your eyes open. Arms up in the air. Screaming. They put you on to me, covered in blood, vernix, your head misshapen from the birth canal. Pulsating, gasping, screaming.”

“You latched on to my breast immediately, hungrily, I remember the pain. The mouth clenched tight around my nipple, light sucking on and sucking out,” Knightley adds. “I remember the s—, the vomit, the blood, the stitches. I remember my battleground. Your battleground and life pulsating. Surviving. And I am the weaker sex? You are?”

Kate introduced the world to her third child, Prince Louis, in April wearing a red dress with a white collar (almost identical to the dress Princess Diana wore after giving birth to Prince Harry) by Jenny Packham, her signature blowout styled to perfection.

Proud dad William said the couple was “very happy, delighted” as he fit the baby carrier into the car before the couple made their way back to their home at Kensington Palace.
