Hypocritical left call for boycott of Tucker Carlson, ignore racist/homophobic comments by lefty pundits

Of course proggies are calling for a boycott of Fox News’ Tucker Carlson but they said absolutely NOTHING about Don Lemon’s blatantly racist comments or MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski homophobic slurs to attack Mike Pompeo.

So typical of their double standards.

From MSN: At least 18 advertisers have now dropped “Tucker Carlson Tonight” after the Fox News host said in a show last Thursday that immigrants to the United States made the country “poorer” and “dirtier.”

As of Wednesday morning, Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, CareerBuilder, TD Ameritrade, Just For Men, United Explorer credit card, ScotteVest, Voya Financial, Zenni Optical, Pacific Life, Indeed, Bowflex, SmileDirectClub, NerdWallet, Minted, Ancestry.com, IHOP, Jaguar and SodaStream had all told TheWrap or stated publicly that they plan to suspend advertising on the program.

“SodaStream has asked Fox to remove us from the time slot,” the company said in a tweet Wednesday.
A spokesman for Takeda Pharmaceutical Company told TheWrap in a statement: “We have pulled our advertising off of Tucker Carlson’s show.”

On Monday, Carlson addressed the growing boycott campaign against his sponsors over his on-air remarks about immigration, telling viewers that he would not be intimidated.

“You’ve seen it a million times, it happens all the time,” he said. “The enforcers scream ‘racist’ on Twitter, until everyone gets intimidated and changes the subject to the Russia investigation or some other distraction. It’s a tactic, a well worn one. And it won’t work with the show, we’re not intimidated. We plan to say what’s true until the last day.

The pressure, however, has only grown with each defection, as liberal pressure groups like Media Matters for America and Sleeping Giants have kept up the pressure on Twitter. Activists like Jordan Uhl and Judd Legum posted real-time updates to their massive followings of companies whose ads appeared on Monday night’s show.

“We cannot and will not allow voices like Tucker Carlson to be censored by agenda-driven intimidation efforts from the likes of Moveon.org, Media Matters and Sleeping Giants,” a spokesperson for Fox News told TheWrap in a statement Tuesday afternoon. “Attempts were made last month to bully and terrorize Tucker and his family at their home. He is now once again being threatened via Twitter by far left activist groups with deeply political motives.

The statement continued: “While we do not advocate boycotts, these same groups never target other broadcasters and operate under a grossly hypocritical double standard given their intolerance to all opposing points of view.”
The flap began when Carlson remarked on Thursday night that immigrants have made the United States “poorer and dirtier and more divided.”

“As a company, we strongly disagree with Mr. Carlson’s statements. Our customer base and our workforce reflect the diversity of our great nation, something we take great pride in. We will not be advertising on Mr. Carlson’s show in the coming week as we reevaluate our relationship with his program.”

The boycott metastasized from there.

“We are actively working with our media buyers to confirm that SmileDirectClub is no longer running our ads around any political opinion shows,” the company told TheWrap on Monday.

Employment giant Indeed said Monday it has stopped advertising on Carlson’s show and has “no plans to advertise on this program in the future.”

Indeed responded in messages to several Twitter users that the company hadn’t run ads on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” for “over a month now.”

Who’s behind the tsunami of social media and blog censorship?

The recent wave of censorship of conservative voices on the internet by tech giants Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Apple mirrors a plan concocted by a coalition of George Soros-funded, progressive groups to take back power in Washington from President Trump’s administration.

confidential, 49-page memo for defeating Trump by working with the major social-media platforms to eliminate “right wing propaganda and fake news” was presented in January 2017  by Media Matters founder David Brock at a retreat in Florida with about 100 donors, the Washington Free Beacon reported at the time.

On Monday, the Gateway Pundit blog noted the memo’s relationship with recent moves by Silicon Valley tech giants to “shadow ban” conservative political candidates and pundits and remove content.

The Free Beacon obtained a copy of the memo, “Democracy Matters: Strategic Plan for Action,” by attending the retreat.

The memo spells out a four-year agenda that deployed Media Matters along with American Bridge, Shareblue and Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) to attack Trump and Republicans.

The strategies are impeachment, expanding Media Matters’ mission to combat “government misinformation,” ensuring Democratic control of the Senate in the 2018 midterm elections, filing lawsuits against the Trump administration, monetizing political advocacy, using a “digital attacker” to delegitimize Trump’s presidency and damage Republicans, and partnering with Facebook to combat “fake news.”

Quashing ‘fake news’ with ‘mathematical precision’

The Free Beacon in its January 2017 story said Brock sought to raise $40 million in 2017 for his organizations.

The document claims Media Matters and far-left groups have “access to raw data from Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sites” so they can “systemically monitor and analyze this unfiltered data.”

“The earlier we can identify a fake news story, the more effectively we can quash it,” the memo states. “With this new technology at our fingertips, researchers monitoring news in real time will be able to identify the origins of a lie with mathematical precision, creating an early warning system for fake news and disinformation.”

Media Matters met with Facebook, which boasts some 2 billion members worldwide, to discuss how to crack down on fake news, according to the memo.

The social media giant was provided with “a detailed map of the constellation of right-wing Facebook pages that had been the biggest purveyors of fake news.”

Brock’s memo also says Media Matters gave Google “the information necessary to identify 40 of the worst fake new sites” so they could be banned from Google’s advertising network.

The Gateway Pundit pointed out that in 2016, Google carried out that plan on the Gateway Pundit blog and other conservative sites, including Breitbart, the Drudge Report, Infowars, Zero Hedge and Conservative Treehouse.

Facebook, meanwhile has changed its newsfeed algorithm, ostensibly to combat “fake news,” causing a precipitous decline in traffic for many conservative sites.

President Donald Trump himself was affected, with his engagement on Facebook dropping by 45 percent.

A study in June by Gateway Pundit found Facebook had eliminated 93 percent of the traffic of top conservative news outlets.

Western Journal, in its own study, found that while left-wing publishers saw a roughly 2 percent increase in web traffic from Facebook following the algorithm changes, conservative sites saw a loss of traffic averaging around 14 percent.

‘Totalitarian impulse’ of the left

President Trump’s 2020 campaign manager, Brad Parscale, charged last week the giants of Silicon Valley are stifling free speech, particularly conservative speech, manifesting the “inherent totalitarian impulse” of the left….

On Aug. 6,  WND reported, Facebook, YouTube and Apple banned commentator Alex Jones and his Infowars website within hours of each other.

Last month, WND reported moderate Muslims and counter-terrorist activists were increasingly being restricted by Silicon Valley, while terrorist content remains on social-media platforms, according to researchers.

Trump campaign chief Parscale said last week the banning of Jones “will inevitably lead to the silencing of those with far less controversial opinions.”

“What we are seeing in Big Tech is the inherent totalitarian impulse of the Left come into full focus,” Parscale said.

Indeed, what followed the censorship of Alex Jones and InfoWars is WordPress’ take-down of blogs, including Fellowship of the Minds.

We are the proverbial “canaries in the coal mines” — early warnings of even worse to come.

First they came for Dr. James Tracy, and I did not speak out because I was not James Tracy.

Then they came for Alex Jones and InfoWars, and I did not speak out because I was not Alex Jones.

Then they came for Fellowship of the Minds, American Everyman, Chemtrails Planet, Cinderella’s Broom, Dutchsinse’s blog, Saboteur365, To Be Free, and others. I did not speak out because I was not one of them.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Time to wake up, Americans, before they come for you.

Obama spent $65,000 to fly 'pizzas' & 'hotdogs' from Chicago

Today, February 9, is National Pizza Day!
What better way to celebrate the day than a post on how much America’s former POTUS (thank you, God!) Barack Obama loves “pizzas” (and “hotdogs”) too!
On October 19, 2012, WikiLeaks released a very curious email, one of WikiLeaksGlobal Intelligence Files of over 5 million e-mails from the Texas-headquartered “global intelligence” company Stratfor. As WikiLeaks explains:

The e-mails date between July 2004 and late December 2011. They reveal the inner workings of a company that fronts as an intelligence publisher, but provides confidential intelligence services to large corporations, such as Bhopal’s Dow Chemical Co., Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and government agencies, including the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Marines and the US Defence Intelligence Agency. The emails show Stratfor’s web of informers, pay-off structure, payment laundering techniques and psychological methods.

The email on May 14, 2009, was from Fred Burton, Stratfor’s vice president of intelligence, to Don R. Kuykendall, then President of Stratfor (Stratfor’s president is now Dave Sikora):

Obama so loves “pizza,” he’s good pals with James Alefantis, the owner of D.C. pizzeria Comet Ping Pong and former boyfriend of Clinton crony and Democratic Party operative David Brock (of Media Matters).

Meanwhile, former VP Joe Biden stands in solidarity with Obama spending $65,000 of taxpayers’ dollars to fly in “pizzas” and “hotdogs” from Chicago.
For Obama’s 55th birthday last August, Biden sent him a childish friendship bracelet with beads spelling out “Joe” and “Barack”, and cute charms in the shape of a blue flower, smiley face, blue star and a slice of (“pizza”) pie. (Hollywood Reporter)
