What a coincidence: Chiraq mayor wants to reopen “as quickly as possible” a week before #notmypresident Biden’s inauguration

With less than a week to go until #notmypresident Biden’s coronation, Chiraq Mayor Lightfoot has declared that now is the time for the city to get back into business. The main reason for this declaration? “To cut down on instances of private parties where people don’t take proper precautions against COVID-19.”

Yeah, riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

Remeber this: Mayor Lightfoot was sooooooooooooooo concerned about the Wuhan virus last year that she violated her own rules to get a haircut. After all, she’s in the “public eye.”

Illinois apparently has been hard hit from the Wuhan virus. Just four days ago the state was reporting “grim” milestones.

Yet with less than a week to go until the new #notmypresident, it appears it’s time for re-opening businesses! From CBS Chicago: “Thursday morning, Lightfoot said she plans to have a conversation with Gov. JB Pritzker about how to begin rolling back virus mitigation efforts ASAP. “I want to get our restaurants and bars reopened as quickly as possible,” she said.”

Why the change of heart from the good mayor who shut down the city?

“But the mayor said the ban on indoor dining and bar service has resulted in people engaging in risky behavior in private, holding underground parties at hotels, businesses, and elsewhere, without wearing masks or keeping a safe distance from other people to limit the spread of the virus.

She said reopening bars and restaurants would give people somewhere to go unwind where business owners can enforce the proper precautions.

So all of a sudden the mayor is concerned with proper precautions? I guess so. Because obviously, too many of the Wuhan virus offenders weren’t out in the “public eye” where business owners can enforce the law.

The priorities of Chiraq Mayor Lori Lightfoot

Chicago Mayor has her priorities double standards when it comes to Wuhan virus “restrictions.”

Back in April the good mayor violated her own social distancing mandates to get her hair cut. You see, she’s in the public eye so that made her violation A-OK.

Back in June the good mayor did nothing about a massive rally. In fact, she “encouraged the continuance of peaceful protests.”

Yet on New Year’s Eve the good mayor was very concerned about gatherings and shutdown a couple of parties and issued citations because they violated Wuhan virus rules.

According to MyFoxChicago, the city shut down two parties on Near Year’s Eve and issued seven notices to businesses for violating Wuhan virus restrictions. Citizens were doing their part to help enforce the good mayor’s rules: “City officials said they responded to 21 calls for violations of COVID-19 regulations.”

Meanwhile, the criminals keep doing what they do best in Chiraq: Ten people were shot and two killed to start out the three-day holiday weekend.

And Chiraq ended 2020 with 769 homicides — 274 more than the previous year and the most since 2016.

If you look at the Wuhan virus stats in Chiraq (don’t just read the MyFoxChicgo headlines), you’ll see that their main data dashboard highlights “positivity” rate (which has been on a decline since mid-Novembeer). And their hospital capacity numbers are not periously dangerous: ICU beds occupied are at 76.6% (pretty normal for this time of year) with Wuhan virus patients accounting for 22.1% of the ICU beds.

But the good mayor has to shutdown parties because it’s all about control. That’s her priority.

Shocker, not: Another democrat violates Wuhan virus orders

They have no shame: Demorats continue to ignore the Wuhan virus mandates. The list grows: Newsom, Lightfoot, Pelosi, Breed, Cuomo, Adler (Austin mayor), Kuehl, etc.

Add Chicago Alderman Tom Tunney (demorat) to the ever-growing list.

Alderman Tom Tunney

From MyFoxChicago: “Chicago alderman admits breaking indoor dining rules in his restaurants.”

Excerpts from their story:

A Chicago alderman acknowledged Monday that he violated state and city orders banning indoor dining when he allowed indoor dining at restaurants he owns.

Alderman Tom Tunney made the admission after a blog devoted to police issues disclosed that diners had been eating inside his Ann Sather restaurants.

“We have, on occasion, sat regular diners in the back of the restaurant… I made a mistake, and I’m owning up to it. I should have not sat regular customers in my restaurant whatsoever,” said Tunney. Tunney also said the number of customers allowed inside was “very limited” and that they observed social distancing and mask wearing rules.

Tunney, he told the Chicago Sun-Times, was ”trying to figure out how to keep team members employed and paid” and help some of his regular diners.”

Some may say that the alderman (since 2003) could afford to pay staff something while they are shutdown since he has a net worth of $1 million.

I’d argue that Tunney (who Chicago Mayor Lightfoot also appointed as vice mayor in 2019) should pick up the phone and call Lightfoot or Gov. Pritzker. No doubt he has close connections to them and could explain how these shutdowns harm his employees and business.

Yet that’s not the Chicago/Demorat Way. You play nice with your bosses and hope you don’t get caught breaking a few rules. And if you do get caught, just apologize. Or you pull a Pelosi and claim you were “set up.”

It’s good to be a demorat who is never held accountable for their actions.

Chiraq Mayor Lightfoot ensures citizens that the “backbone” workers of their neighborhoods will keep their jobs

Who do you think is the “backbone” workers of Chiraq neighborhoods? If you’re Mayor Lightfoot, then it’s the public workers of course!

Yesterday the mayor announced that she wouldn’t have to lay off 350 public employees because of large revenues generated by the sale of recreational and medical marijuana. Mayor Lightfoot said, “This will ensure Chicago’s public workers, the backbone of our neighborhoods, maintain their jobs and health insurance while also protecting the critical services Chicagoans rely on during these unprecedented times.”

Of course, the city still faces a $1.2 BILLION deficit in next year’s budget. But whatever. I’m sure the many demorat-run broke cities are hoping for a bailout in some Wuhan virus relief package next year when Pelosi and Schumer may get their way.

You know who might have a different opinion about the “backbone” workers in Chicago? The restaurant owners and their workers who have closed their businesses and been laid off due to Illinois demorat governor ordering a statewide shutdown of restaurants and bars for on-premise service that took effect March 16. The good Chiraq mayor has issued another stay-at-home advisory effective today.

Over 65 business owners have closed their restaurants in Chicago due to the financial strain of government ordering private businesses to quit operating. Thousands of employees have been laid off due to the government-ordered closures, too.

But don’t fret for the business owners losing their livelihoods nor the employees out of a job/income. They can be sure that the city’s public workers – the backbone of the neighborhoods – are getting paid!

Chiraq Mayor Lightfoot issues stay-at-home advisory; “cancel your Thanksgiving plans”

Remember, this comes from the same mayor who in April violated her own Wuhan virus guidelines/orders to get a haircut.

On Thursday Mayor Lightfoot issued a stay-at-home advisory and, according to MyFoxChicago “made a strong declaration about the severity of the rise in cases, saying that if Chicago residents don’t change their behavior immediately, the city is “on track to lose 1,000 more Chicagoans” or more by year’s end.”

More from the MyFoxChicago story:

“Chicago has reached a critical point in the second surge of COVID-19, demanding that we undertake this multi-faceted and comprehensive effort to stop the virus in its tracks,” Lightfoot said in a press release.

“The gains we have made this past year have been the result of our willingness to work together. Even in this difficult moment, we will continue to unite as we always have for our city in order to halt the rise we’re seeing, shake out of the fatigue we’ve been experiencing, and make the crucial difference in what our future is going to look like.”

Read about her dire warnings and other restrictions here.

You want to see just how concerned the good mayor was just five days prior to this new mandate? Take a look and tell me how much of a “comprehensive effort” she made to help do her part to #stopthespread of Wuhan and “shake out of the fatigue:”

Typical hypocritical demorat.

More Chicago restaurants to close as mayor keeps city under Wuhan virus restrictions

The city of Chiraq has a population of almost 2.7 million. And because the Wuhan virus has been so deadly there it is an election year, Mayor Lori Lightfoot has kept the city – and its businesses – under severe lockdowns.

The Wuhan virus dashboard from the City of Chicago’s Health Department (9/22/20):

First thing I noticed about the dashboard is they make it very hard to locate active positive cases. The front page (above) lists cumulative (3/1 through 9/22/20) tests and cases (77,675). In order to find current active cases, you have to click on Latest Data, Daily Status Report. Here data is broken down by age, gender and ethnicity.

Yet that “report” AGAIN shows total cumulative cases (77,657). Total deaths: 2,935.

I finally found a table, “Daily Chicago COVID-19 Cases, Deaths, and Hospitalizations.”

That table shows less than 600 active cases per day since 5/28/20. For four months .023 percent of Chiraq’s population has had active cases of Wuhan virus. Not serious numbers by any means, especially to warrant business restrictions.

So why is the mayor still hindering businesses?

MyFoxChicago reports that the 25-percent indoor capacity limit currently imposed by the city is ruining the restaurant industry in Chicago.

Restaurant owners are imploring the city to expand indoor eating capacity yet the city insists the coronavirus numbers are “just not right yet.”

Read that whole story here.

I’m guessing the numbers probably won’t be “just right” until November 4, 2020.

This is Chiraq under Mayor Lightfoot’s watch: Another double-digit shooting weekend, police under attack & murders up

You’ll be shocked to learn that another weekend in Chiraq, another round of double-digit shootings:

54 shot, 12 fatally, over Chicago weekend”

And now there’s ANOTHER problem in Chiraq, thanks the demorat-backed BLM thugs:

“Chicago police officers targeted ‘5 times’ more than years prior as crime surge continues, superintendent says”

Another stat out of Chiraq: “Murders and shootings have each surged 52% year-to-date as of Sept. 6, according to the Chicago Police Department’s crime statistics.”

Great job, demorats!

Peons in Chicago aren’t equal to the Good Mayor Lori Lightfoot as she bans protests on HER street

Chiraq is a dangerous place these days. Even for the police. See the following:

This is Chiraq under Mayor Lightfoot’s watch: 139% jump in murders, uptick in shootings in July 2020
Chicago Mayor Lightfoot blames everyone but herself for BLM riots/looting
Chicago Mayor Lightfoot blames shootings on guns from states with “virtually no gun control”

You know who doesn’t have to worry about rioting, looting or shootings (she has 24/7 police protection)? The mayor as she’s BANNED protests on her street. The police apparently authorized this and will arrest anyone who refuses to leave her street in the Logan Square neighborhood. Details from MSN:

“The police directive surfaced in a July email from then-Shakespeare District Commander Melvin Roman to officers under his command. It did not distinguish between the peaceful protesters Lightfoot regularly says she supports and those who might intend to be destructive, but ordered that after a warning is given to demonstrators, “It should be locked down.”

Since the order, and even for a time just prior to its writing, Chicago cops have repeatedly blocked protesters’ access to the block with groups of officers and barricades. Police have often kept protesters contained at the nearby corner of Kimball and Wrightwood avenues, though one standoff between activists and officers last month saw police go as far as bringing in an armored vehicle in case things got out of hand.

Some neighbors in the Logan Square area have complained about the city’s approach to protests around Lightfoot’s house, which at times has included checking residents’ IDs before letting them close. Ron Kaminecki, a 69-year old patent attorney and bike shop owner who lives on Bernard Street a few houses from Lightfoot, said some neighbors have been frustrated by the police presence and barricades.

“I came up with the name ‘Fort Lori’ because it’s so hard to get in and out,” Kaminecki said.

In response to questions from the Tribune, police said state law and Chicago’s municipal code prohibit protests in residential areas.”

Mayor Lightfoot defended her actions saying, “I have a right to make sure that my home is secure.”
