1 of 3 Americans Still Skeptical About Obama’s Birth

If the certificate isn’t legit,

we must Evict!

On April 27, after refusing to release his long-form birth certificate for more than two years, Obama finally released that elusive document that he had spent a reported $1-2 million on lawyer fees to conceal.

Immediately after Obama’s press appearance to unveil the  document, doubts began about its authenticity. See, for examples, here, here, here, and here. The forgery was done so poorly that even tech-savvy San Diego high school students who had thought “birthers” were “nut-cases,” determined the birth certificate is a piece of photoshopped fiction.

Now comes polling evidence that, for all of Obama’s efforts, as many as a third of Americans remain skeptical about whether he indeed had been born in the United States.

About a week after Obama had released an image of his “birth certificate,” Gallup conducted a poll, on May 5-8, of 1,018 adult Americans by landline and cellphone. Here are the findings:

  • Less than a majority — 47% of those surveyed — say they believe Obama was “definitely” born in the United States.
  • 18% say Obama “probably” was born in the United States.
  • As many as a third of Americans remain skeptical or unsure: 8% say he probably was born elsewhere, 5% say he definitely was, and 20% say they don’t know enough to say.

The poll has a margin of error of +/-4 percentage points.

UPDATE: Donald Trump Releases His Birth Certificate!

I’m getting to really like Donald Trump, despite his weird comb-over.  😉

Words colored in pink are mine.

H/t beloved fellow Tina.

Do your job, you bunch of nine gutless wonders.

Exclusive to Newsmax: Donald Trump’s Birth Certificate

Monday, 28 Mar 2011

Donald Trump, who has been making television appearances calling for President Barack Obama to release his official birth documents, released his birth certificate exclusively to Newsmax on Monday.

“It took me one hour to get my birth certificate. It’s inconceivable that, after four years of questioning, the president still hasn’t produced his birth certificate. I’m just asking President Obama to show the public his birth certificate. Why’s he making an issue out of this?”

Trump was skeptical that so few people have stepped forward to verify Obama’s birth. “I went to the best college and I was a great student, and it is inconceivable to my brain that no doctor, no nurse, nobody has stepped forward to verify the birth, other than the governor [Hawaii’s new governor, Neil Abercrombie]. He remembers? The governor? A birth 50 years ago? Come on. He’s taking a bullet for his party.” [Abercrombie later said he couldn’t find Obama’s original long-form birth certificate.]

He said other presidents have produced these documents without any hesitation. “Ronald Reagan, George Bush have produced their birth certificates. Why doesn’t Obama?” [The only birth document that Obama had released is an online image of his Certificate of Live Birth (COLB), a secondary document generated from his presumed original long-form birth certificate. Alas, even that online COLB image has four versions! Eenie, meenie, mynie, moe. Which version is the real COLB, no one knows.]

Trump added that the local newspaper ad announcing Obama’s birth also strikes
him as odd. “Someone takes an ad out in the paper announcing his birth days later? How many people do you know who take an ad out in the paper to announce a birth, and then won’t show anyone the birth certificate?”

Trump’s birth certificate released to Newsmax is below. It shows that Trump was born in New York, June 14, 1946.

UPDATE (3.29.2011):

Trump has provided Newsmax and ABC a signed, dated Certificate of Birth from the City of New York’s Department of Health. The new birth certificate states that Trump was born in the borough of Queens on June 14, 1946. It is signed by the mayor, the acting registrar of records, and the commissioner of health. It is also the official birth certificate that Obama is still refusing to release.

Trump said that once he realized the document he provided Newsmax on Monday was not an official birth certificate, it only took him a couple of hours to clear up the matter and locate the official document. “Some in the media were
challenging my birth certificate,” Trump told Newsmax Tuesday morning in an
email. “So I solved the problem in a couple hours: here is my official Department of Health Birth Certificate.”

Here’s Trump’s official birth certificate:

More Americans Are Birthers As Obama Continues His Mockery

Obama mocks birthers

A week ago (March 10, 2011), New York Daily News ran a hit piece by Michael Sheridan deriding birthers as wild-eyed “conspiracy theorists” and sycophantically defending Obama. Sheridan wrote:

President Obama is laughing off lingering doubts about his birth certificate. The commander-in-chief cracked wise at a fund-raiser in Boston, poking fun at the so-called  “birther” movement, which insists he is not a natural-born citizen. “There’s no weakness in us trying to reach out and seeing if we can find common ground,” he said Tuesday.  “Now, there are going to be times where we can’t. I was born in Hawaii. What can I say? I mean, I just   … I can’t change those facts.”…

The birthers have called into question whether Obama was actually born on U.S. soil. In 2008, Obama’s campaign made public a “certification of live birth” that showed he was born in Hawaii. Birthers insist it’s not good enough.

Obama has kept his response to the conspiracy theories jocular. In May 2010, he even joked at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner that “there are few things in life that are harder to find, and more important to keep, than love… Well, love and a birth certificate.” At a prayer breakfast in February 2010, he quipped: “Surely you can question my policies without questioning my faith. Or for that matter my citizenship.”

The conspiracy theorists continue to press their cause and hope their minor movement will impact the 2012 elections.

Republicans in about half a dozen states have pushed for legislation dubbed “birther bills.” None have advanced far. The proposals would generally require presidential candidtates to provide proof of citizenship to get on a state’s ballot. In New Hampshire, a similar bill was killed in committee Wednesday by a unanimous vote.

The birthers have had some success in convincing some Americans  that their claims about the commander-in-chief are true. A CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll in August 2010 indicated nearly a quarter of Americans either did not believe Obama was born in the United States or was “probably not.” Another poll in February conducted by Public Policy Polling suggested that the majority of Republicans do not believe he was born in America.

Not all Republicans, however, have bought into the birther beliefs. “I don’t believe Obama was born overseas. I believe he was born in Hawaii,” former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee told Aaron Klein on his WABC 770 AM radio show last week. “I have no doubts about his Hawaiian birth.”….

To which I have this to say to Sheridan:

There is an old saying: “Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.” You are displaying your abysmal ignorance on this matter when you naively accept the online image of Obama’s alleged Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) as definitive proof of his purported Hawaian birth. There are at least two problems with this COLB:

  • First, the COLB is a secondary document that is generated from the primary document of a long-form birth certificate, which Obama has refused to produce.
  • Then, there is the matter of there being FOUR online versions of Obama’s COLB, which cast doubt on the authenticity of even this secondary document.

There’s a simple and really quick way to shut up us birthers’ mouths once and for all. Just ask Obama to produce his original long-form birth certificate — an elusive document that both Hawaii’s new governor Neil Abercrombie and Hawaii’s chief elections clerk in 2008 Tim Adams cannot find.

In the meantime, the joke’s on you because on the very same page of your NYDN article,Obama jokes about birthers at fundraiser; ‘birther bill’ gets killed in New Hampshire,” is a poll asking NYDN readers if they think “Obama should take ‘birthers’ more seriously.” The poll results, as of 7:05 am, west coast, March 18, 2011 are:

Poll Results

Thank you for voting.

Do you think President Obama should take ‘birthers’ more seriously?

Yes, they have a legitimate concern. 69%

No, they are just angry he’s President. 30%

I don’t know 0%

To vote, go HERE.

In other words, despite its reporter’s derision of birthers, a huge majority of the readers of New York Daily News actually support the position of the Birthers. And there is no longer any fence sitters on the issue of Obama’s (In)Eligibility.

Even Chris Matthews Now Thinks There’s No Birth Certificate

The Obama birth certificate imbroglio is getting embarassing even for his leftwing supporters. Take, for example, MSNBC’s “Hardball” host Chris Matthews, who had exulted in 2008 that listening to The Fraud’s speak gave him “a thrill up his leg” — a thrill that “I don’t have that too often.”

Matthews never misses an opportunity to trash and bash “birthers,” one time even announcing he is the “enemy of birthers.” Of late, even Matthews has said he thinks Obama should release his birth certificate. On January 31, 2011, Matthews went one step further. He now admits that the online, computer-generated image of a Certification of Live Birth (COLB) from Hawaii — which is a secondary document presumably generated from a presumed primary long-form birth certificate — is the only document Obama has.

In other words, Matthews is saying there is no Obama long-form birth certificate! — which is what new Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie said(before he changed his story), what a friend of Abercrombie (Mike Evans) said on radio (before he changed his story), and what former Hawaii elections chief clerk Tim Adams said in an affidavit. [See HERE]

In the video below, Matthews first points out that the long-form birth certificates (LFBC) — which he slyly dubs “old school” to suggest the LFBC are antiquated and therefore superfluous and unnecessary — have all sorts of signatures and writing on them. Then Matthews says:

“Now you have the new kind which is a digital thing, printed out. The president has produced this new kind. It’s been fine for him … He doesn’t have the other kind apparently.”

None of which means that Chris Matthews or anyone on the Left will stop bashing “birthers” even when we “birthers” are proven right. They will defend the Fraud until the end. Remember what my looney-left friend Stephanie once exclaimed out of pure frustration when I pointed out certain inconvenient facts:

“I’ve made up my mind! Don’t confuse me with facts!”

More Evidence Hawaii Does Not Have Obama’s Birth Certificate

Man up, you worthless members of the U.S. Supreme Court

“Oh what a tangled web we weave, When first we practise to deceive!” -Sir Walter Scott

Hawaii’s new hippy-dippy socialist governor, Neil Abercrombie, is finding just how tangled, thorny, and nettlesome his web has become.

First, Abercrombie bashed “birthers” for doubting Obama’s birth eligibility for the presidency and vowed he would silence those dastardly skeptics once and for all. Then, Abercrombie admits he — the Governor of Hawaii — can’t find Obama’s long-form birth certificate. That is most curious because two years ago, on October 31 2008, Director of Hawaii’s Department of Health (DOH) Dr. Chiyome Fukino declared that the health department has Obama’s original long-form birth certificate and that she had seen that elusive document with her own eyeballs!

The long-form birth certificate is that Holy Grail of a primary document from which was generated that famous Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) that was posted online on lefty websites. Alas, the problem is there are FOUR different versions of the COLB image.

After admitting he couldn’t find Obama’s long-form birth certificate (LFBC), Abercrombie quickly changed his story again. It’s not that he couldn’t find the LFBC; rather, the problem is his hands are tied because it’s against state law to release private documents like the LFBC without the individual’s permission. Recall that, right after he won the 2008 election, Obama went to Honolulu for a vacation, at which time he filed a request with the Hawaii state government to seal his birth records.

Suddenly camera shy, Abercrombie instead had his spokeswoman Donalyn Dela Cruz speak to the press. Dela Cruz said that Hawaii State Attorney General David Louie told the governor he can’t disclose an individual’s birth documentation without a person’s consent. “There is nothing more that Gov. Abercrombie can do within the law to produce a document,” Dela Cruz bleated and then added this dig, “Unfortunately, there are conspirators who will continue to question the citizenship of our president.”

We've found his original long-form birth certificate!

But we have good evidence that Abercrombie actually did speak the truth when he said he couldn’t find Obama’s LFBC.

First, Jack Cashill writes for American Thinker, Friend says Abercrombie told him, ‘There is no birth certificate!‘,” January 24, 2011:

During an interview on the KQRS morning radio show on January 20, Mike Evans, a long-time friend of Hawaii governor Neil Abercrombie, shared a conversation he had with the governor the day prior…. Evans, Honolulu born and now a Hollywood-based celebrity journalist, claimed that Abercrombie had promised him that he when he became governor, he planned to find absolute proof that Obama was born in Hawaii.

When Evans spoke to Abercrombie on January 19, Abercrombie reportedly told him that he searched the relevant Hawaii hospitals using his powers as governor, and concluded, according to Evans, “There is no Barack Obama birth certificate in Hawaii, absolutely no proof at all that Obama was born in Hawaii.”  After Abercrombie made such a fuss about finding the birth certificate, Evans concluded of his friend that he has “got some egg in the face.”

Here’s the audio of Evans:

Second, Jerome Corsi of WorldNetDaily reports on January 24, 2011 that Tim Adams, who was Hawaii’s chief elections clerk in 2008, has now signed an affidavit swearing he was told by his supervisors in Hawaii that no long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate existed for Barack Obama Jr. in Hawaii and that neither Queens Medical Center nor Kapi’olani Medical Center in Honolulu had any record of Obama having been born in their medical facilities.

Adams first spoke out last June on this matter. Now an English instructor at Western Kentucky University, Adams explained that as the chief elections clerk in Honolulu in 2008, he had access to all databases to confirm someone’s identity and birth. But the Hawaiian government does not have Obama’s LFBC. Therefore, he can speak with confidence that Obama was not born in Hawaii.

The Left responded with their typical smear campaign, saying that Adams lied and that he was a white supremacist, for which there is zero evidence. Now, Adams has signed an affidavit, swearing to the truth of what he said in June:

 There is no birth certificate!

An affidavit is a formal sworn statement of fact, signed by the author and witnessed as to the authenticity of the affiant’s signature by a taker of oaths, such as a notary public. The word “affidavit” is Medieval Latin for he has declared upon oath. An affidavit is a verified statement, meaning it is under oath or penalty of perjury, and this serves as evidence to its veracity and is required for court proceedings.

Here’s Tim Adams’ signed and notarized affidavit:

As Jack Cashill wryly observes: “In the Obama rabbit hole, things do seem to get progressively curiouser and curiouser.”

4 Versions of Obama’s Certificate of Live Birth

Unless you’ve been living on the Moon, or you’re a liberal who chooses to stay in an echo chamber with nary a contrary fact or opinion, you’d know that the only birth document Obama had ever allegedly released to sympathetic leftwing websites is that now infamous Certificate of Live Birth (COLB).

That COLB is a secondary document that presumably was generated from Obama’s presumed primary document — his long-form birth certificate that, curiously, Hawaii’s anti-birther governor, Neil Abercrombie, admits he can’t find.

That is most curious because two years ago, on October 31 2008, Director of Hawaii’s Department of Health (DOH) Dr. Chiyome Fukino declared that she and the registrar of vital statistics, Alvin Onaka, had personally verified that the health department holds Obama’s original birth certificate. More than that, Fukino claimed to have seen that elusive document with her own eyeballs!:

“Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawai‘i, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawai‘i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures.”

More curious still is the fact that sometime after the midterm elections of November 2, 2010 delivered Obama-buddy Abercrombie as Hawaii’s new governor, blogger Citizen WElls discovered, on December 7, that Fukino was no longer DOH director! Was she fired?

The original long-form birth certificate — from which a COLB is generated — contains information that the COLB does not carry, such as the names of the attending physician and the hospital where the birth took place. Here’s what a Hawaii long-form birth certificate, not a COLB,  looks like:

Obamabots insist that an online image of Obama’s alleged COLB posted on a website is sufficient to prove that he was born in Hawaii, as claimed. The problem is this:

Even if we accept that argument — which, of course, is questionable (just try obtaining a passport or a driver’s license with an online image of your ID!) — which online image of Obama’s COLB should we accept?

For the fact of the matter is that there are FOUR images of that COLB and — here’s the rub — they are not all the same

To begin, let’s look at an authentic COLB of someone who’s not Obama so that we’ll know what a valid COLB of the State of Hawaii actually looks like:

Notice the certificate number in the upper right, and the embossed seal of the State of Hawaii in the lower center.

Below are FOUR online images of Obama’s alleged COLB.

Image #1 was posted on Daily Kos:

Image #2 was posted on Fight the Smears:

Image #3 was posted on FactCheck.org:

Image #4 was also posted on FactCheck.org:

Images #1 and 2 have a black bar, on the upper right of the COLB, instead of the certificate number. The certificate number in Images #3 and 4 is not blacked out. The number is 151 1961-010641.

Only Image #4 (Factcheck.org) has what appears to be an embossed seal of the State of Hawaii in the lower half of the certificate.

Neither Image #1 (Daily Kos), nor Image #2 (Fight the Smears), nor Image #3 (posted by the same Factcheck.org as Image #4) has the embossed seal.

If all four are Obama’s COLB, why are there these differences? How can any serious person be expected to accept an online image of  a COLB as evidence of Obama’s American birth? If anyone tries to introduce these four online images — which are different from one another — as evidence in court, they’d be found at a minimum to be in contempt, or more likely be charged with outright fraud.

So next time some brainwashed mindnumbed Obamabot tells you that Obama really is constitutionally eligible because he’s produced his COLB, blah blah blah, just ask him/her:

Erh, which online image of Obama’s COLB do you mean? Is it Image #1? Or is it Image #2? Or is it Image #3? Or is it Image #4? Or is it none of those?
