Amazing Magic Card Trick!!!

FOTM’s Doc’sWife sent me this amazing magic trick.

Try it again. Pick another card….
And, again, your card is missing from Picture #4!!!!
It must be magic!
To find out how this trick works, scroll down….

It was no magic.
The reason why David Copperfield correctly “guessed” which card you picked — the reason why the card you picked is gone from Picture #4 is this:
The 5 cards in Picture #4 were never in Picture #1 !
This means that no matter which card you pick from Picture #1, you’ll never find it in Picture #4.
Go back and look at what the 6 cards are in Picture #1. From left to right, they are:
K♥         J♣         K♠         Q♦        Q♣        J♦
(King of Hearts; Jack of Clubs; King of Spades; Queen of Diamonds; Queen of Clubs; Jack of Diamonds)
Here are the 5 cards in Picture #4. From left to right, they are:
Q♥          K♣          J♥          Q♠          K♦
(Queen of Hearts; King of Clubs; Jack of Hearts; Queen of Spades; King of Diamonds)
It was no magic. It was simple cheating!
This was how I figured it out:
I begin with the a priori (presupposition or premise) that there is no such thing as anthropogenic (man made) magic, fans of Harry Potter notwithstanding.
David Copperfield, though hailed as the “King of Magic,” “Magician of the Century,” and the recipient of a “Living Legends Award” (!) from the Library of Congress, is not a magician but merely a very skillful “illusionist” trickster. For that he’s been richly rewarded, named by Forbes magazine as the 10th highest paid celebrity in the world in 2003, with total earnings of $55 million.
I then scrutinized the 6 cards in Picture #1. The red-colored King of Hearts immediately caught my eye, and I selected that.
When I got to Picture #4 and saw that, as predicted, my King of Hearts was missing, the red-colored King of Diamonds immediately got my attention. I had remembered when I looked at Picture #1 that the only red-colored King was the King of Hearts, but now there’s a red-colored King of Diamonds in Picture #4!
So I scrutinized the other 4 cards in Picture #4, went back to Picture #1, and…sure enough, all the cards in Picture #4 were never in Picture #1 to begin with!
At the risk of being preachy, there is a spiritual lesson in this.
Jesus warns that “I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.” (Matthew 10:16) We are also warned that in the end days, “there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” (Matthew 24:24)
If Copperfield successfully tricks us into believing he performs magic, we’ll really be sitting ducks when that Man of Sin appears with his “great signs and wonders”.

This is magic:

“Every day will I bless you,
and I will praise your name forever and ever.
Great is the Lord and highly to be praised;
his greatness is unsearchable.”
-Psalms 145:2-3
