U.S. Army sergeant runs amuck in Afghan killing spree

You can’t escape this. It’s all over the news.
A U.S. Army sergeant in Afghanistan went berserk and murdered 16 civilians, including 9 children with single gunshot wounds to the head.
The New York Times reports, March 11, 2012:

Stalking from home to home, a United States Army sergeant methodically killed at least 16 civilians, 9 of them children, in a rural stretch of southern Afghanistan early on Sunday, igniting fears of a new wave of anti-American hostility, Afghan and American officials said.

Residents of three villages in the Panjwai district of Kandahar Province described a terrifying string of attacks in which the soldier, who had walked more than a mile from his base, tried door after door, eventually breaking in to kill within three separate houses. The man gathered 11 bodies, including those of 4 girls younger than 6, and set fire to them, villagers said.[…]

The officials said the suspect was an Army staff sergeant who acted alone and then surrendered. “The initial reporting that we have at this time indicates there was one shooter, and we have one man in custody,” said Lt. Col. Jimmie Cummings, a NATO spokesman.

A senior American military official said Sunday evening that the sergeant was attached to a unit based at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, a major Army and Air Force installation near Tacoma, Wash., and that he had been part of what is called a village stabilization operation in Afghanistan. In those operations, teams of Green Berets, supported by other soldiers, try to develop close ties with village elders, organize local police units and track down Taliban leaders. The official said the sergeant was not a Green Beret himself.

Another senior military official said the sergeant was 38 and married with two children. He had served three tours of duty in Iraq, this official said, and had been deployed to Afghanistan for the first time in December. Yet another military official said he has served in the Army for 11 years.

This berserk Army sergeant is symptomatic of something having gone very wrong in the military and with our foreign policy.
More than a month ago, an Army whistleblower had sounded the alarm that everything we’ve been told about the Afghan war is a lie — we’re losing the war in Afghanistan, which has become the longest U.S. war.
Our military is stretched thin, its budget and health benefits being hacked by the Obama administration. Our soldiers are weary from repeated deployments, and suffering record high rates of PTSD, alcohol abuse, and suicides.
But three POS senators are already beating the war drums for yet another war —against Iran….

Enough!!!!

U.S. out of Afghanistan!

Bring our troops home.

Warmongers

warmonger

n. One who advocates or attempts to stir up war.

Even before he did anything as President, Barry Soetoro was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize.
Since that award, Obama supposedly ended the U.S. war in Iraq, but our forces are still there. Obama launched air strikes against Libya (“no feet on the ground!”), and dispatched a naval flotilla (including an aircraft carrier) to the Persian Gulf against Iran, and our soldiers are stuck in a losing war in Afghanistan, which has become the longest U.S. war.
Now, in the name of human rights, three GOP senators, with a combined age of 202, are urging Nobel Peace Prize winner to start yet another war — attack Syria.
Senators John McCain, Joe Lieberman, and Lindsey Graham issued a joint statement today urging the Obama administration to act on Syria:
“[I]f requested by the Syrian National Council and the Free Syrian Army, the United States should help organize an international effort to protect civilian population centers in Syria through airstrikes on Assad’s forces. To be clear: This will first require the United States and our partners to suppress the Syrian regime’s air defenses in at least part of the country.
The ultimate goal of airstrikes should be to protect civilian population centers from Assad’s killing machine and establish safe havens in which opposition forces can organize, rest, refit, and plan their political and military activities against Assad. These safe havens could serve as platforms for the delivery of humanitarian and military assistance – including weapons and ammunition, body armor and other personal protective equipment, tactical intelligence, secure communications equipment, food and water, and medical supplies. These safe havens could also help the Free Syrian Army and other armed groups in Syria to train and organize themselves into more cohesive and effective military forces, likely with the assistance of foreign partners, and provide political space for the Syrian National Council to organize on Syrian soil.”

John McCain is 75 years old.
Joe Lieberman is 70 years old.
Lindsey Graham will be 57 this July.
Old men start wars. But it’s young men (and women) who die.
Our military is stretched thin, its budget and health benefits being hacked by the Obama administration. Our soldiers are weary from repeated deployments, and suffering record high rates of PTSD, alcohol abuse, and suicides.
I say we send McCain, Lieberman, and Graham to fight in Syria.

The Afghan 6. Screw Afghanistan

Posted by Judson Phillips on March 3, 2012 at 8:37am
~Steve~                                       H/T  Tea Party Nation.

https://www.teapartynation.com/forum/topics/screw-afghanistan

Afghanistan is about to claim six more casualties. These people will not be killed but will be hurt as a result of the idiocy of the Obama Regime. They are the Koran Six.
Who are the Koran Six and why are the important? And why the hell are we still screwing around with Afghanistan?
The Koran Six are the five American military personnel and the one Afghan American interpreter who have been targeted by the so-called investigation into the Koran burnings in Afghanistan.
They will be set for disciplinary action so that we can try to calm the savages that pass for citizens in Afghanistan.
It is time to stand up and say screw Afghanistan.
For ten years, we have been there. We have been trying nation building for the last six or seven. We are propping up the regime of a lunatic, who is singularly incapable of operating a commode, much less a nation. The ingrate has repeatedly said his sympathies lie with the Islamists who want to kill him, rather than Americans who want to protect him.
Screw him and his hellhole of a country.
We are spending billions of dollars on that waste of a nation.
Why?
We send aid to them and if the Afghans see that the aid is coming from America, they burn it.
Screw them.
I’m tired of American blood being spilled for savages who live in the 7th century. I’m tired of American money being sent over to help people who hate us. I am tired of our money going to support a corrupt regime who spits on us every chance we get. I am tired of America’s sons and daughters being put in the position of having to trust the knuckle dragging Afghans, who are just as likely to turn and shoot them rather than help them.
Afghanistan is a phenomenal waste.
We have a President in this country who wants us to lose and who is doing everything possible to make certain we lose in Afghanistan. His only concern is making certain he is not blamed for it.
Screw him too.
I have a simple suggestion for the next President.
Our reason for going into Afghanistan was to keep it from being a terrorist playground. We need to deny Afghanistan to the terrorists and we need it as a base of operations to pressure both Pakistan and Iran.
Let’s put our people into their bases and just inform the Afghans that it is open season on the Taliban. We are going to kill them wherever we find them. If an Afghan village helps the Taliban, then an airstrike will wipe it off the map and we don’t care. Let’s send in loads of napalm and pesticide and wipe out their opium production so the Taliban lose their cash crop.
Forget this playing nice with them. If their Korans get burned, well that is just too bad. If they want to attack American bases because of that, we have guns, a lot of ammunition and people who know how to use them.
No more American lives should be lost, nor more American blood shed, nor treasure expended to try to remake that open sewer that we call Afghanistan. Our purpose there is only to protect America from terrorists who want to bring death and destruction to America’s shores.
While Barack Obama parties with his radical buddies in Washington and takes vacations every other week at taxpayer expense, the Koran Six have risked their lives in Afghanistan and will be sacrificed because some Korans got burned.
They do not deserve to be punished. They deserve medals.

We're being set up for another war

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRgjPoFfaE4]

Boom. Boom.

Boom. Boom.

The drumbeats for another U.S. war, this time against Iran, are getting louder and louder.
Can you hear it?
This morning’s headline story on Drudge Report: “Paper: Military action against Iran ‘likely’…” Here’s what the UK’s Guardian says, Feb. 17, 2012:

“Officials in key parts of the Obama administration are increasingly convinced that sanctions will not deter Tehran from pursuing its nuclear programme, and believe that the US will be left with no option but to launch an attack on Iran or watch Israel do so.”

Consider what Jay Weidner wrote in his column “Smoking Out the Monster,” Feb. 17, 2012 [words in pink are mine ~Eowyn]:

“There is something in the air. Those of us who have been around for a while can almost smell it.  It is the smell of the Monster. It is putrid and greasy. The Monster hides its ugly face from all of us. It fears to show itself. […]

Now with the smoke of war on the horizon the Monster has been forced to show its teeth and claws. […]

In the last few days a number of coincidental(?) events have occurred that bear discussion.

1.) Yesterday, out of the blue, Three of the four Republican candidates for President decided to not do the CNN debate. Ron Paul was the only one willing to debate. CNN canceled the debate. Neither Gingrich nor Santorum have any money. Why would they renege on a chance for a national audience? [read more here]

2). Judge [Andrew] Napalitano was coming out fiercely for Ron Paul on his great show Freedom Watch.  He was fired last week by Fox Business Channel. It should be noted that the Judge was also fiercely anti-war. [Here’s the 5-minute speech that got Napolitano fired:]

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=fOaCemmsnNk]

3.) Stephen Colbert came out, in a serious manner, for Ron Paul.
Yesterday his show was ‘suspended’. [ostensibly due to a “family emergency” — his mom’s illness]

4.) Pat Buchanan was fired from MSNBC yesterday.  He was against the current wars and would surely be against an attack on Iran.  He was probably a secret Ron Paul supporter also. [read more here] […]

What is going here?

War is coming.  The Monster is attempting to get rid of and/or silence anyone who is against the corrupt criminal warmongers that rule this country.

So what is so objectionable about Ron Paul? Paul has said the following:

“Far from defeating the enemy, our current polices provide incentive for more people to take up arms against us.”

“We have an empire. We can’t afford it.”

“Acting as the world’s policeman and nation-building weakens our country, puts our troops in harm’s way, and sends precious resources to other nations in the midst of an historic economic crisis.

Ron Paul has been called anti-Semitic because of his stance on Israel. Here’s an interesting video showing that what Paul recommends for America’s policy toward Israel is entirely consistent with what Israel’s PM Netanyahu himself insists:
[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9ipO9hj3kM&feature=fvwrel]
If Ron Paul were really anti-Semitic or a knee-jerk pacifist-isolationist, why is it that he’s received more financial support from active-duty members of the US military than any other 2012 presidential candidate?

The United States is broke. Our national debt is over $15 TRILLION, and now exceeds our gross national product. Our military is spread thin and our soldiers are weary and suffer unprecedented rates of PTSD and suicide.

We can’t afford another war!!!

Ron Paul: Isolationist or Anti-Semite?

Texas Congressman Ron Paul, a candidate competing to be the GOP’s presidential nominee for 2012, is nominally a member of the Republican Party. But ideologically, Paul is more a Libertarian (he ran as a Libertarian in the 1988 presidential election), which explains his stance on foreign policy.
Libertarians do not favor the U.S. government’s (vs. Americans as private citizens) involvement in other countries and the world. Libertarians therefore do not support foreign wars (that is, wars fought not on U.S. soil but in foreign lands) and foreign aid.
That being said, there is a difference between (A) advocating a libertarian foreign policy, versus (B) being anti-Israel and blind toward real dangers in the world.
Paul has labored to convince us that his views on Israel are entirely consistent with the general beliefs of Libertarians. But the evidence is mounting that Ron Paul is more (B) than (A). Republicans and Conservatives need to be informed about this and act accordingly.
Here are some facts we need to know about Ron Paul (h/t Debbie Schlussel, Patriot Action Network, Dec. 26, 2011):

  • Despite the Libertarian opposition to foreign aid, Paul voted against a measure that would end U.S. aid to HAMAS, a Palestinian terrorist organization.

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClLmm6TCFKg&feature=player_embedded]

  • Paul had questioned whether the 9/11 attacks were perpetrated by Muslim jihadists. He several times voiced his belief that 9-11 was an inside job, conducted by the CIA and directly planned and ordered by George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. Most recently on November 20, on CBS “Face the Nation“, he still insists that America had “provoked” the 9/11 attacks because “we’re over there” in the Middle East.
  • In the most recent GOP presidential aspirants’ debate, Paul says Iran’s acquisition of nuclear weapons is not a matter of concern.

Now, Ron Paul’s personal assistant for 17 years who had worked on Paul’s campaigns and fund raising, is going on the record that he believes Paul to be an anti-Semite. His name is Eric Dondero.
In a statement he sent Debbie Schlussel, Dondero unequivocally describes Paul as:

“He is . . . most certainly Anti-Israel, and Anti-Israeli in general.  He wishes the Israeli state did not exist at all.  He expressed this to me numerous times in our private conversations.  His view is that Israel is more trouble than it is worth, specifically to the America taxpayer.  He sides with the Palestinians, and supports their calls for the abolishment of the Jewish state, and the return of Israel, all of it, to the Arabs…”

“Ron Paul is most assuredly an isolationist.  He denies this charge vociferously.  But I can tell you straight out, I had countless arguments/discussions with him over his personal views.  For example, he strenuously does not believe the United States had any business getting involved in fighting Hitler in WII.  He expressed to me countless times, that “saving the JWews,” was absolutely none of our business.  When pressed, he often times brings up conspiracy theories like FDR knew about the attacks of Pearl Harbor weeks before hand, or that WWII was just “blowback,” for Woodrow Wilson’s foreign policy errors, and such.”

So, it appears that for Ron Paul, it’s not just 9/11 that’s America’s fault. World War II is also America’s fault!
I like Ron Paul’s pro-life record and his opposition to the Federal Reserve and the United Nations’ Agenda 21. But his foreign policy sure gives me pause.

Hugo Calls Obama a Clown

The best buds in happier times

BooHoo. There’s no honor among thieves grandiose narcissists.
Former Obama best bud, Hugo Chávez, is now calling him “a clown.”
Tom Phillips of The Guardian reports Dec. 20, 2011, that Chávez blasted Obama as a “clown” and an “embarrassment” who has turned the United States into a “disaster” after Obama criticized Venezuela’s ties with Iran and Cuba.
In a written interview Obama had with the Caracas paper El Universal, he questioned Venezuela’s connections to those countries. Incurring a narcissistic injury, Chávez hit back strongly at Obama on state TV Monday, saying Barry had given the interview only to “win votes” in the 2012 election.
That’s one clown calling another a clown. LOL

Hugo Chavez, Dec. 17, 2011.

He’s lost his hair from cancer treatments, but Hugo Chavez still manages to be fat despite his country, Venezuela, having a poverty rate of 66% in 1995.

So was the now-dead North Korea’s “Dear Leader” Kim Jong Il. So is Kim Jong Un, the 27-year-old youngest son of Dear Leader and the designated successor. Both are porky, although their countrymen are literally starving to death.

North Korea's new leader: Kim "Porky Pig" Jong Un

Did you know that President For Life of a socialist country Hugo Chavez — born in a 3-room mud hut into a working class family and later became a career military officer before he entered politics —  has a net worth estimated to be ONE BILLION U.S. DOLLARS?

US Drone Brought Down by Electronic Warfare Ambush

UPDATE (12.12.2011):
Obama administration asks Iran to, pretty please, return the drone. Iran says up yours. Go here for story.
UPDATE (12.15.2011):
An Iranian engineer says Iran had hijacked the US drone, by “spoofing” it into landing in enemy territory instead of its home base in Afghanistan. Go here for story.

Iran displays captured U.S. drone

The era of electronic warfare is on us.
That U.S. stealth drone captured by Iran last Sunday, Dec. 4, had been brought down by an electronic warfare ambush. This confirms Tehran’s claim that the top-secret RQ-170 Sentinel was downed by a cyber attack.
DEBKAfile reports, December 8, 2011, that Iran exhibited the drone and its almost perfect condition refutes the US military contention that the Sentinel’s systems had malfunctioned. If this had happened, it would have crashed and either been wrecked or damaged.
The capture of the intact drone is a major debacle for the stealth technology the US uses in its warplanes and the drone technology developed by the US and Israel, who are now obliged to make major changes in plans for a potential strike against Iran’s nuclear program.

The Obama administration’s decision after internal debate not to send US commando or air units into Iran to retrieve or destroy the secret RQ-170 stealth drone which fell into Iranian hands has strengthened the hands of the Israeli faction which argues the case for striking Iran’s nuclear installations without waiting for the Americans to make their move.
Senior Israeli diplomatic and security officials who followed the discussion in Washington concluded that, by failing to act, the administration has left Iran not only with the secrets of the Sentinel’s stealth coating, its sensors and cameras, but also with the data stored in its computer cells on targets marked out by the US and/or Israeli for attack.
Like every clandestine weapons system, the RQ-170 had a self-destruct mechanism to prevent its secrets spilling out to the enemy in the event of a crash or capture. This did not happen. Tehran claimed the spy drone was only slightly damaged when they downed it.
How did Iran know the drone had entered its airspace? How was it caused to land? Most of all, why did the craft’s self-destruct mechanism which is programmed to activate automatically fail to work? And if it malfunctioned, why was it not activated by remote control?
A senior Israeli security official had this to say: “Everything that’s happened around the RQ-170 shows that when it comes to Iran and its nuclear program, the Obama administration and Israel have different objectives. On this issue, each country needs to go its own way.”
That sounds ominous….
UPDATE (Dec. 11, 2011):
The AFP reports from Tehran that Iranian military officials confirm that the drone — displaying little damage in state media images – had not been shot down as first asserted, but rather had its controls hacked by a Revolutionary Guards cyber unit.
For their part, Obama administration officials are skeptical at Iran’s claims that it had broken through encryption technology to seize control of the aircraft, instead hypothesizing that the drone suffered a malfunction. But none was able to explain how the drone – programmed to either automatically return to its base in Afghanistan or possibly even self-destruct – was recovered by the Iranians.

OPEC, Iran and Iraq – No Man's Land for the MSM?

I don’t recall this being covered in the American MSM in August.  They were pre-occupied with Bambi’s Martha’s Vineyard vacation.
