Jill Biden: “I know my son’s character. He did nothing wrong.”

Wife of Creepy Joe appeared on MSNBC yesterday to proclaim that President Trump is afraid to run against her husband.

Jill also went on to defend her son Hunter saying, “I know my son. I know my son’s character. Hunter did nothing wrong. And that’s the bottom line.

Let’s take a look at Hunter’s “character,” shall we?

Hunter was kicked out of the US Navy Reserves after testing positive for cocaine.
While estranged from his wife and the mother of his children, Hunter began dating his brother’s widow

I get a momma bear wanting to protect her child but, c’mon. Even the good “doctor” might have to admit that her son’s “character” doesn’t have the best track record.

NY Post reports that Hunter Biden suspected of smoking crack in DC strip club last year

Ruh roh. That Burisma money was put to good use, obviously.

From NY Post: Hunter Biden was suspected of smoking crack inside a strip club where he dropped “thousands of dollars” during multiple visits — at the same time he held a seat on the board of a controversial Ukrainian natural-gas company, The Post has learned.

The incident, which took place at Archibald’s Gentlemen’s Club in Washington, DC, late last year, represents the most recent alleged drug use by Biden, 49, who has acknowledged six stints in rehab for alcoholism and addiction that included a crack binge in 2016.

Workers at Archibald’s, located about three blocks north of the White House, said Biden was a regular there, with two bartenders and a security worker all instantly recognizing his photo and one worker identifying him by name.

Security worker Ranko Petrovic said Biden — the son of former Vice President Joe Biden, the Democratic front-runner to challenge President Trump next year — would routinely hole up in a VIP room and drink during his visits.

Although Petrovic said the club “had no issue with him,” former Archibald’s managing partner James Ritter said one occasion in late 2018 was marred by a “suspicion of drug use.”

“There was a smell of burning Styrofoam in the VIP room. We told him nothing illegal can go on here,” Ritter said. “We didn’t see anything illegal. After he was spoken to, the smell stopped.

“VIP employees suspected it was crack,” he added.

Hunter spent “thousands and thousands of dollars in the Archibald’s VIP rooms,” and paid his bills with “credit cards that didn’t have his name on it.”

The club generally required customers to use credit cards that matched official IDs, but “Hunter was a bit of an exception,” Ritter said. “Whenever he was in town he came in for two days in a row, disappeared and come back a month later,” Ritter said.

Archibald’s current owner, Dan Harris, didn’t return an email seeking comment.

At the time of the incident, Hunter was a board member of the Ukrainian natural-gas company Burisma, which reportedly paid him as much as $50,000 a month.

MSNBC’s Hunter Biden baby/DNA test confirmation headline is the BEST

How is it possible that this is from MSNBC?

Biden denies he is the father of this woman’s baby. Apparently he’s going to challenge the DNA test results.

Read the whole MSNBC story here.

While his father is running for president, Hunter could have resolved this privately. Instead he’s now forcing this new mother to go through the stress, expense and humiliation of paternity litigation in court to get child support.

Aren’t we to #BelieveAllWomen?

Typical hypocritical demorat who actively engages in a #WaronWomen.

Kamala Harris claims President Trump “already confessed” so impeachment shouldn’t take very long

You demorats have been screeching about impeachment for almost three years. If you really got the goods, then DO IT NOW. And don’t do it behind closed doors.

From Daily Mail: Kamala Harris claimed the impeachment of President Trump ‘shouldn’t take very long…because he has already confessed’.

The Democratic 2020 presidential candidate said on Sunday that Trump has already admitted to the necessary ‘high crimes and misdemeanors’ outlined in the Constitution to see him removed from office.

Speaking at the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) forum in Iowa, Harris, who was previously attorney general of California and San Francisco, was asked if she would prosecute Trump.

The senator replied that Congress should already have enough to force Trump from the White House after his phone call with Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky was made public.

She told the audience: ‘Here’s the thing, I have been calling for the impeachment of this president for a long time and for the process to proceed, and based on everything I know, yes.

Trump is accused of trying to pressure Ukrainian leaders to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, over his time on the board of a natural gas company in the country.

In a phone call on July 25, Trump is alleged to have threatened to withhold aid to Ukraine unless a Ukrainian prosecutor looks into the Bidens. Trump denied any ‘quid pro quo’ was offered in the call and the White House later released a redacted transcript of the conversation.

Harris has previously called for Trump to be impeached during the nearly two-year Mueller probe over alleged Russian collusion in the 2016 presidential campaign – long before the Ukrainian revelations.

She went on to say on Sunday that Congress’ impeachment proceedings already had a ‘confession’, according to the Daily Wire.

The California senator reportedly added: ‘Here is how I think about it, because we have got a confession and it don’t take a prosecutor to see that was a confession. I mean, we have a confession, we have a cover-up, right?

Joe Biden is currently one of the front-runners for the Democrat 2020 nomination among a dozen candidates, including Harris.

Reports that Biden campaign asked networks to stop booking Giuliani

If you can defend your position and have nothing to hide then you should have no need to silence your opposition.

From NY Post: Joe Biden’s presidential campaign is asking top network executives to stop booking President Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani.

Biden campaign officials Anita Dunn and Kate Bedingfield wrote a letter to network news presidents, chief anchors and the executive producers of the Sunday shows for ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN and Fox News Channel, Deadline reported.

“We are writing today with grave concern that you continue to book Rudy Giuilani on your air to spread false, debunked conspiracy theories on behalf of Donald Trump,” the letter said. “While you often fact check his statements in real time during your discussions, that is no longer enough. By giving him your air time, you are allowing him to introduce increasingly unhinged, unfounded and desperate lies into the national conversation.”

Biden’s campaign asked the TV heavyweights if a campaign surrogate could get equal time if Giuliani continued to be booked.

“Vice President Biden and his campaign are the targets of these attacks. Saying simply that you will put a Democrat on, at a time when there are many declared candidates for the Democratic nomination for the presidency, is neither fair treatment nor equal treatment,” the campaign operatives argued.

The former mayor made the rounds Sunday morning, appearing on ABC’s “This Week,” CBS’ “Face the Nation” and Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo.”

During those appearances he continued to suggest that Joe and Hunter Biden were up to no good in their dealings with Ukraine. He also accused Hunter Biden’s business with China of corruption.

Ukrainian officials have said there was no evidence the Bidens engaged in any wrongdoing.

The Democrats launched an impeachment inquiry over allegations that President Trump pushed the new Ukrainian president to link up with Giuliani to look into the Bidens.

1998 US-Ukraine treaty on mutual assistance in criminal matters proves it’s another Democrat witch-hunt

A witch-hunt is “An investigation carried out ostensibly to uncover subversive activities but actually used to harass and undermine those with differing views.”

After the failure of their Russian-collusion witch-hunt, the Demonrats have manufactured yet another baseless pretext to impeach President Trump.

An anonymous Deep State whistleblower claims that in a July 25, 2019 phonecall with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Trump used $400 million in U.S. military aid to pressure Zelensky to open a probe into possible corruption involving Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.

Note: When Joe Biden was Obama’s Vice President, he lobbied for the removal of Ukraine’s State Prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was investigating a Ukrainian energy company that employed Joe’s son, Hunter Biden, who served until earlier this year on the company’s board and was paid a reported $50,000 monthly salary. The investigation into the company ended without charges brought against Hunter.

Although the whistleblower had not actually heard the Trump-Zelensky phone conversation, but based his/her accusation on hearsay, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) used the phonecall as the pretext for the House to move to impeach Trump.

On Sept. 25, the White House released the transcript of the Trump-Zelensky phone call, which confirms Trump’s and Zelenksy’s accounts — that Trump made no reference to the $400 million U.S. military aid, nor did he use the aid as a quid pro quo to coerce Zelensky.

In the phonecall, Trump did ask Zelensky for help to investigate two matters:

  • The DNC (Democratic National Committee) server that was hacked in 2016.
  • What Hunter Biden was doing in Ukraine, about which Joe Biden bragged that he had stopped Hunter from being prosecuted.

Trump told Zelensky Attorney General William Barr and Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, would be in contact with Zelensky on the investigations.

A Constitutional-law attorney points out that it is entirely proper for Trump to ask Zelensky. In the words of the attorney:

The President is head of the Executive, which carries exclusive power to conduct foreign relations. No other branch of government has this power…. As Executive, the President is the ONLY official authorized to request foreign assistance in a corruption investigation…. Obtaining foreign cooperation in investigations of corruption by a US official is a matter of statecraft/diplomacy, ie, a function of foreign affairs…. CONCLUSION:  Trump not only is entirely within his powers to use foreign aid as a means to persuade Zelensky to investigate the Biden affair, I believe he was obligated to do so…. The fact Trump may obtain…political advantage from the investigation is simply irrelevant as a matter of law.

It turns out that there is actually a U.S. treaty with Ukraine on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters — a treaty that the Clinton Administration signed on July 22, 1998, in Kiev, Ukraine.

Below are excerpts from the Treaty Between the United States of America and Ukraine on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters, which entered into force on February 27, 2001:

ARTICLE 1
SCOPE OF ASSISTANCE

1.The Contracting States shall provide mutual assistance, in accordance with the provisions of this Treaty, in connection with the investigation, prosecution, and prevention of offenses, and in proceedings related to criminal matters.

2. Assistance shall include:

(a) taking the testimony or statements of persons;

(b) providing documents, records, and other items;

(c) locating or identifying persons or items;

(d) serving documents;

(e) transferring persons in custody for testimony or other purposes;

(f) executing searches and seizures;

(g) assisting in proceedings related to immobilization and forfeiture of assets, restitution, and collection of fines; and

(h) any other form of assistance not prohibited by the laws of the Requested State.

3. Assistance shall be provided without regard to whether the conduct that is the subject of the investigation, prosecution, or proceeding in the Requesting State would constitute an offense under the laws of the Requested State.

4. This Treaty is intended solely for mutual legal assistance between the Contracting States. The provisions of this Treaty shall not give rise to a right on the part of any private person to obtain, suppress, or exclude any evidence, or to impede the execution of a request.

ARTICLE 2
CENTRAL AUTHORITIES

1. Each Contracting State shall have a Central Authority to make and receive requests pursuant to this Treaty.

2. For the United States of America, the Central Authority shall be the Attorney General or a person designated by the Attorney General. For Ukraine, the Central Authority shall be the Ministry of Justice and the Office of the Prosecutor General.

ARTICLE 5
EXECUTION OF REQUESTS

1.The Central Authority of the Requested State shall promptly execute the request or, when appropriate, shall transmit it to the authority having jurisdiction to do so. The competent authorities of the Requested State shall do everything in their power to execute the request. The competent authorities of the Requested State shall have authority to issue subpoenas, search and arrest warrants, or other orders necessary to execute the request.

In other words, President Trump did nothing wrong — even less any impeachable “high crime or misdemeanor” — in the July 25 Zelensky phonecall:

  • President Trump did NOT use U.S. military aid to pressure Ukraine to investigate Joe and Hunter Biden.
  • President Trump didn’t NEED to exert any pressure because the two countries already have a treaty that obliges the Ukrainian government, when requested by the U.S. government, to conduct a criminal investigation.
  • Furthermore, in that investigation, the U.S. “Central Authority” with whom the Ukrainian government communicates is none other than the U.S. Attorney General, i.e., William Barr, or a person designated by Barr, i.e., Rudy Giuliani.

Constitutional-law attorney’s analysis of the Trump-Zelensky phonecall

Three days ago, on Sept. 25, the White House released the transcript of a controversial July 25, 2019 phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

An anonymous Deep State whistleblower claims that in the phonecall, Trump used the $400 million in U.S. military aid to Ukraine to pressure Zelensky to open a probe into possible corruption involving Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter. But the whistleblower had not actually heard the Trump-Zelensky phone conversation, but based his/her accusation on hearsay.

Regardless, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) used the phonecall as the pretext for the House to move to impeach Trump.

The 5-page transcript of the July 25 phonecall confirms Trump’s and Zelenksy’s accounts: Trump made no reference to the $400 million U.S. military aid, nor did he use the aid to coerce Zelensky.

Below is an analysis of the phonecall controversy by a retired U.S. Army officer who is now a licensed attorney in Minnesota and Wisconsin. His practice includes constitutional law issues, and he has significant experience drafting and arguing motions in both State and Federal Court of Appeals.

The legal analysis below is in the form of an email I received from the attorney. I have his consent to publish, but his identity must remain anonymous.

1. It is unquestioned that Biden, as a sitting VP, took his son Hunter (apparently on gov’t transport) to first Ukraine and then China or that, after each visit, Hunter Biden gained significant economic advantages (as in managing a $1.5B fund in the latter case). Hunter Biden has zero experience in East Europe or China, and no experience in either company’s type of opertions. He was a board member, and board members do not necessarily have either of these, but Biden as a lawyer was really only useful to them (from a professional knowledge point of view) WRT US operations and laws pertaining thereto.

2. [Joe Biden] Using government office to gain economic advantage for family members [Hunter Biden] is at least arguably and I assert positively is corrupt under existing statutes.

3. The President is head of the Executive, which carries exclusive power to conduct foreign relations. No other branch of government has this power. (Do not confuse the Senate’s Advise and Consent responsibility for the conduct of foreign affairs – the Senate must advise and consent to completed treaties but has zero role in negotiating those treaties, at least as a matter of law.)

4. The President as Chief Executive is chief law enforcement officer of the USA. As such, he is empowered – I would argue obligated – to investigate corruption, especially at high levels of government.

5. Item #1 constitutes probable cause for an investigation of Biden for corruption.

6. As Executive, the President is the ONLY official authorized to request foreign assistance in a corruption investigation (he may delegate this power).

7. Obtaining foreign cooperation in investigations of corruption by a US official is a matter of statecraft/diplomacy, ie, a function of foreign affairs. No (or very few) rules apply. The President has the sole power here.

8. CONCLUSION: Trump not only is entirely within his powers to use foreign aid as a means to persuade Zelensky to investigate the Biden affair, I believe he was obligated to do so (qv #4).

The fact Trump may obtain – and certainly expected to obtain – political advantage from the investigation is simply irrelevant as a matter of law.

There is also the inconvenient-to-Democrats matter of a treaty between the United States and Ukraine on cooperating to prosecute crimes. See “1998 US-Ukraine treaty on mutual assistance in criminal matters proves it’s another Democrat witch-hunt“.

Ukraine President Zelensky defends Trump: ‘Nobody pushed me’

Yesterday, the White House released the transcript of a controversial July 25, 2019 phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, 41.

An anonymous Deep State whistleblower claims that in the phonecall, Trump used the $400 million in U.S. military aid to Ukraine to pressure Zelensky to open a probe into possible corruption involving 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter. The only problem is this: The whistleblower had not actually heard the Trump-Zelensky phone conversation, but based his/her accusation on hearsay.

Being who they are, absence of evidence never stops Demonrats from their never-ending persecution of  Trump — a duly-elected President of the United States. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) used the hearsay phonecall as the pretext for the House to move to impeach Trump. Puffed up with faux righteous indigation, Pelosi said: “The president must be held accountable! No one is above the law.”

The 5-page transcript of the Trump-Zelensky phonecall shows that instead of being adversarial, the two presidents were warm and cordial. In the phonecall, Trump made no reference to the $400 million U.S. military aid, nor did he use the aid to coerce Zelensky.

See my post, “Transcript of phonecall between Trump and Ukrainian president shows no wrongdoing“.

Yesterday, Sept. 25, at the United Nations General Assembly, in a joint appearance with Trump before reporters, President Zelensky confirmed what was said and not said in the July 25 phonecall.

Yahoo News reports that asked by reporters if he had felt pressured by Trump to investigate Biden, Zelensky said:

“I think you read everything. So I think you read text. I’m sorry but I don’t want to be involved to democratic open elections of USA. I think we had good phone call. It was normal. We spoke about many things. I think, and you read it, nobody pushed me.

Trump added, “In other words, no pressure.”

About Hunter Biden, Trump said that President Zelensky is “very, very strongly looking into all sorts of corruption,” and that when Hunter Biden “walks away with millions of dollars from Ukraine and … they’re paying him millions of dollars, that’s corruption.”

When Joe Biden was Obama’s Vice President, he lobbied for the removal of Ukraine’s State Prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was investigating a Ukrainian energy company that employed Joe’s son, Hunter Biden, who served until earlier this year on the company’s board and was paid a reported $50,000 monthly salary. The investigation into the company ended without charges brought against Hunter.
