Blackout: Major progressive web sites omit report that Starbucks is giving raises as result of GOP tax cut

media TDS
Yesterday at 5:09 am Reuters reported that Starbucks was going to give raises to employees. From the story:
Starbucks Corp (SBUX.O) will use some of the savings from the new U.S. corporate tax cuts to give domestic employees pay raises, company stock and expanded benefits with a combined worth of more than $250 million, the company said on Wednesday.
With the announcement, the world’s biggest coffee chain joins companies like Walmart (WMT.N), Apple Inc APPL.O, Comcast Corp (CMCSA.O) and American Airlines Group Inc (AAL.O) in sharing their tax savings with employees.
Starbucks is known for giving its workers, which it calls “partners,” more generous pay and benefits than other mass-market restaurants and retailers.
“Investing in our partners has long been our strategy, and due to the recent changes in U.S. tax law, we are able to accelerate some significant partner investments,” Chief Executive Kevin Johnson said in a letter to employees.”
Read the rest of the story here.
Over 11 hours later, at 1:45 pm (Central Time), I went to several proggie web sites to search how they reported this great news. I searched the following sites to see if they had “Starbucks” or any story on their home page about this announcement:

At the time of my search, I didn’t find ANY article on this good news on the above web sites. Gee, I wonder why?
CBS news had the story, at the bottom of their home page under the “Money Watch” category. Fox News DID have the story, about a quarter of the way down on their home page.
Wonder if these progressive “news” web sites will get around to reporting this great news as a result of the GOP tax cut plan, which NOT ONE demorat voted for.
No wonder we call them #FakeNews.

PS: I checked all the web sites bulleted above at 9:30 pm last night and STILL NOTHING about the Starbucks announcement. Shocker, not.

Huffington Post goes racist on resignation of Steve Bannon: 'Goy, Bye!'

Fri, 18 Aug 2017 20:20:10 +0000

eowyn2

The shocking news came this morning that Steve Bannon, President Trump’s White House Chief Strategist and former CEO of Breitbart credited with helping Trump win the 2016 election, had resigned two weeks ago, on August 7.

But the news is awash in ambiguity.

The New York Times reports:

President Trump has told senior aides that he has decided to remove Stephen K. Bannon, the embattled White House chief strategist who helped Mr. Trump win the 2016 election, according to two administration officials briefed on the discussion.

The president and senior White House officials were debating when and how to dismiss Mr. Bannon. The two administration officials cautioned that Mr. Trump is known to be averse to confrontation within his inner circle, and could decide to keep on Mr. Bannon for some time.

Meanwhile, this is how Huffington Post reacts to Bannon’s resignation:

Goy (plural “goyim”) is the Hebrew pejorative word for a non-Jew.

Why HuffPost would make an issue about Bannon’s ethnicity is baffling because under CEO Bannon, Breitbart News has always been pro Israel.

HuffPost‘s racist “Goy, Bye!” headline was met with outrage from even anti-Trumpers:

  • Keith Olbermann tweeted, “WTF?”
  • New York Post‘s Jewish contributor Seth Mandel tweeted: “Someone at HuffPo thought this headline was a good idea.”

So HuffPost quickly changed the headline. Alas, the Left being what they are, the new headline “White Flight” is no less racist and race-baiting as the previous “Goy, Bye!”. (Breitbart)

UPDATE:

As of this afternoon (Friday, Aug. 18), Bannon has returned to Breitbart News as its Executive Chairman.

Bannon told author Joshua Green:

“If there’s any confusion out there, let me clear it up: I’m leaving the White House and going to war for Trump against his opponents — on Capitol Hill, in the media, and in corporate America.”

According to the Gateway Pundit:

Breitbart News is plotting to go ‘thermonuclear’ against ‘globalists’ inside the Trump administration. Bannon may also be personally gearing up to take on the Drudge Report’s Matt Drudge.

According to former Trump aide Sam Nunberg, Bannon believes Drudge ‘accelerated’ his White House exit driven by continuous negative coverage.

Speaking of Drudge Report, I’ve been perturbed by Matt Drudge’s negative links on Trump and, frankly, no longer read Drudge Report or use it as a news source. I suggest that conservatives do the same.

Comedy of the day: 12 reasons why the POS is one of the best presidents ever

Matthew LynchMatthew Lynch (pic left) wrote this for the “progressive” Huffington Post. He really should quit his day job as associate professor of Education at Langston University to become a comedy writer instead. The words in teal italics are my rebuttals.

“12 Reasons Why Obama is One of the Best Presidents Ever” by Matthew Lynch

1. He is for The People. Say what you will about Barack Obama, but unlike the many presidents who preceded him, he cares about what is best for the greater good. He truly does represent The People. (On the eve of the 2012 presidential election at a campaign rally on November 2 in Springfield, Ohio, Obama exhorted his supporters to “vote for revenge,”)

2. He is for civil rights. He has consistently spoken on behalf of the disenfranchised, the underdog and the most controversial members of society -despite the fact that it was politically unpopular to do so at the time. (On July 6, 2010, former DOJ official J. Christian Adams testified before the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights that attorneys in the DOJ’s civil rights division were instructed to ignore cases that involve black defendants and white victims, like 2008 Election Day voter intimidation by the New Black Panthers)

  1. He is for one race – the human race. In just a few short years, Obama’s professional achievements and continued demonstration of equality and integrity have done wonders for race relations. America has never been more unified as a people than it has been under the direct leadership of Barack Obama. (See my rebuttal above.)

  2. He is for a healthcare system that brings hope and healing to the hurting. Obama’s healthcare plan has allowed uninsured Americans to reap the benefits of a universal healthcare system. (See “President Lucifer wrote the Obamacare regulation to cancel your insurance”)

  3. He is for the middle class. (See “Economist: Most of Obamacare costs will fall on the middle class” and “The disappearing Black American middle class“)

  4. He is for women’s rights. (See “What Pres. Lucifer’s IRS did to one woman”)

  5. He is for doing away with pomp and circumstance. Let’s be real – Obama is one cool cat. (See “US taxpayers spent 2,422% more on Obama than Brits on the royal family“)

  6. He is for the environment. President Barack Obama has taken a forward thinking approach to creating a red, white, blue and green America. (See “Agenda 21 – Behind the Green Mask”)

  7. He is for veterans. (See “Obama regime prohibits disabled veterans from owning firearms & ammunition“)

  8. He is for peace. Let us never forget that Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009 -one of the greatest accomplishments any man or woman could hope to achieve in a lifetime. (See “U.S. soldiers in open rebellion against Obama’s war in Syria,” “President Lucifer’s Jihad,” “CIA expands Obama-approved training of Syrian militants”)

  9. He is for education. (See “Government Tentacles Reaching Into Home Schools,” “Obama’s ‘Race to the Top’ Agenda,” and “Obama’s ‘Race to the Top’ Agenda – Part 2“)

  10. He is for entertaining the masses. If we have to listen to a president yakitty-yak about this or that for another four years, we might as well pick one with charisma and charm. If you can’t find anything else appealing about Obama, you can’t deny the fact that the guy is an amazing speaker with wit, fantastic comedic timing and an incredible intellect. In fact, I will go so far as to say that when the man does finally retire from politics, he has a rewarding and lucrative job as a stand up comic awaiting him if he so chooses. When’s the last time you heard a president joke about drinking beer, belt out Al Green with poise and precision at a moment’s
notice and admit to watching the Kardashians? (I have no comment. This 12th reason is an indictment in and of itself.)

Seriously, what powerful dope is Matthew Lynch mainlining? The same crack that the POS and First Lady of Snot poke up their noses?

Obama picks nose

Agenda 21-Huffpo Hack's Bias Exposed by Rosa Koire

We owe a debt of gratitude to Rosa Koire for getting out a heads-up on this.  She was approached by Huffpo “journalist”, Andrew Reinbach, who wanted an interview for a story he was doing about U.N. Agenda 21.  The main thrust of the interview was his determination to blame the “vast rightwing conspiracy” aka John Birch Society for making an issue of the harmless little non-binding Agenda 21.
Rosa laid it on the line…. BIG TIME!   She blogged about it on her website and posted the  interview on Youtube!
[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vp-Geyq53Hc]
When you read his article, it’s as if the 44 minute interview with Rosa never happened.  It didn’t fit the narrative of tin foil hat JBS paranoia he had in mind .

Liberal HuffPo Recruits Child Labor As Bloggers

Arianna Huffington

Adam Clark Estes reports for The Atlantic Wire, Sep. 9, 2011, that Huffington Post, which doesn’t pay their bloggers, is now recruiting teenagers as young as 13 to blog for free.
Jeff Bercovici at Forbes reports that AOL’s Huffington Post Media Group is gearing up for the launch of its next vertical, HuffPost High School, which “will be unique in that it will be the only site produced by minors: Its editor, wunderkind Myles Miller, is only 17, and it will feature the work of teenage bloggers.”

Already, when AOL acquired HuffPost back in February this year for a reported $315 million, one of HuffPost’s unpaid bloggers, Jonathan Tasini, got so angry he initiated a class action lawsuit against The Huffington Post over alleged labor law violations related to their blogs.
A former president of the National Writers Union compared the effort to child labor and called Arianna a couple of bad things. “I assume for the no-ethics, no-morals owner the next step after middle school students is importing work from surplus slave labor in China,” he told Bercovici who raised a few of his own concerns about privacy. “Should teenagers who can’t legally vote, drink or have sex be allowed to decide for themselves what to publish in a place where it could potentially be read by millions of people?”
Hmm… Aren’t the Left supposed to care about workers — their pay and their rights — and about “the children”?
