ER surgeon at Seth Rich’s hospital says his gun wounds were not fatal

Yesterday, on the Internet chat forum 4chan, an individual who goes by the alias of Anonymous (ID: rhotYJAg) claimed to be a surgery resident at Washington Hospital Center who had attended to Seth Rich — the 27-year-0ld Democratic National Committee (DNC) staffer who leaked thousands of damaging DNC emails to WikiLeaks.

Rich was shot in the early morning hours (around 4 a.m.) on Sunday, July 10, in a residential area of Washington, D.C. Although police say Rich was the victim of a “random burglary,” his killer(s) left behind Rich’s wallet, watch and cell phone.

Unless Anonymous comes forth to reveal his/her identity, there is no way for us to know if Anonymous is who he/she claims to be. However, as you will read for yourself, I find Anonymous to be credible because of the display of medical knowledge and use of medical shorthand terminology.

This is what Anonymous said:

  • Seth Rich was shot twice in the back.
  • He sustained a “small injury” to his liver and “several small bowel injuries” — none of which was fatal.
  • He was taken to the operating room, where his injuries were treated.
  • He was then moved to ICU (Intensive Care Unit) where he received blood transfusion. He was stable, his blood pressure normal.
  • 8 hours after Rich arrived at the hospital, the place “swarmed” with law enforcement officers. Everyone, except the attending physician and a few nurses, was kicked out of the ICU. There were no visiting hours, which is abnormal for ICU.
  • That morning, Anonymous and the other doctors were instructed not to make rounds (visits) on “the VIP that came in last night” (Seth Rich).
  • When Rich died, no one other than the attending physician was allowed to see him. There was no code alert or call for a cardiopulmonary resuscitation team. Although Anonymous was with a patient in the next room, he/she was blocked from attending to Rich.
  • At the time, Anonymous couldn’t understand why the patient Rich was treated that way and thought the whole thing to be “fishy”. Later, when he found out that the patient was Seth Rich, Anonymous “was terrified”.

Here’s a screenshot of Anonymous’ post (click to enlarge):

4chan deletes its contents at the end of each day, but the thread on which Anonymous had posted was briefly archived, which enabled me to copy what Anonymous wrote (see below) before the archived thread was removed.

Below are Anonymous’ post and his responses to 4chan readers’ queries:

Anonymous (ID: rhotYJAg) 05/17/17(Wed)13:12:50 No.125912863:

4th year surgery resident here who rotated at WHC (Washington Hospital Center) last year, it won’t be hard to identify me but I feel that I shouldn’t stay silent.

Seth Rich was shot twice, with 3 total gunshot wounds (entry and exit, and entry). He was taken to the OR emergently where we performed an exlap and found a small injury to segment 3 of the liver which was packed and several small bowel injuries (pretty common for gunshots to the back exiting the abdomen) which we resected ~12cm of bowel and left him in discontinuity (didn’t hook everything back up) with the intent of performing a washout in the morning. He did not have any major vascular injuries otherwise. I’ve seen dozens of worse cases than this which survived and nothing about his injuries suggested to me that he’d sustained a fatal wound.

Note: “OR” means operating room; “exlap” refers to exploratory laparotomy — is a surgical operation where the abdomen is opened and the abdominal organs examined for injury or disease. It is the standard of care in various blunt and penetrating trauma situations in which there may be multiple life-threatening injuries; “resected” means cut off or remove.

In the meantime he was transferred to the ICU and transfused 2 units of blood when his post-surgery crit came back ~20. He was stable and not on any pressors, and it seemed pretty routine. About 8 hours after he arrived we were swarmed by LEOs and pretty much everyone except the attending and a few nurses was kicked out of the ICU (disallowing visiting hours -normally every odd hour, eg 1am, 3am, etc- is not something we do routinely). It was weird as hell. At turnover that morning we were instructed not to round on the VIP that came in last night (that’s exactly what the attending said, and no one except for me and another resident had any idea who he was talking about).

Note: “post-surgery crit” is post-surgery critical care, referring to the patient’s  hematocrit level, i.e., the percentage of red blood cells circulating in the blood; “pressor” means “tending to increase blood pressure”; “LEOs” is law enforcement officers; “not to round” means not to make bedside visits.

No one here was allowed to see Seth except for my attending when he died. No code was called. I rounded on patients literally next door but was physically blocked from checking in on him. I’ve never seen anything like it before, and while I can’t say 100% that he was allowed to die, I don’t understand why he was treated like that. Take it how you may, /pol/, I’m just one low level doc. Something’s fishy though, that’s for sure.

Note: “No code was called” means no emergency alert was sounded for a cardiopulmonary resuscitation team; “/pol/” refers to “politically incorrect” posts on 4chan.

A commenter challenged Anonymous:

prove you are not a larper.
what are the list of medications you administered throughout the entire process?

Note: “a larper” is someone who engages in larp or live action role playing, i.e., someone online pretending to be someone else.

Anonymous (ID: rhotYJAg) 05/17/17(Wed)13:26:47 No.125914751:

When he [Seth Rich] arrived to the trauma ward he had LR running, I don’t keep up with how much he got but less than 2 liters before we rolled to the OR.

Note: “LR” is Lactated Ringers (solution), a common fluid replacement for patients who have lost blood or other body fluids; “PRBC” is packed red blood cells; “FFP” is fresh frozen plasma.

No transfusion was done in trauma; the massive transfusion protocol was started because he was hypotensive on arrival but by the time the cooler (4u PRBC, 2u FFP) was ready we were on the way to the OR and honestly I don’t remember if he got any of it beforehand; he responded well to just IVF resuscitation so we went ahead with the surgery any just ended up giving him 2 units afterwards (the crit we got in trauma was returned just after we left and was low, ~24 IIRC but it wasn’t communicated to us… teamwork fail for sure but that can happen when we’re rushing to the OR)

Note: “hypotensive” means abnormally low blood pressure.

As for the rest of the meds? You’d have to ask anesthesia I guess. He didn’t need anything from us in the ICU except a propofol/fentanyl drip to maintain sedation while intubated but that’s pretty par for the course. The important part was that he was hemodynamically stable and not requiring pressors.

Anonymous (ID: rhotYJAg) 05/17/17(Wed)13:36:13 No.125915975

I haven’t spoken to the attending who was on staff that night but the other resident I was with that night doesn’t remember it in any clarity (he was called to traumas as part of his rotation but that was ancillary to his ICU -different ICU btw- duties). Basically he said, “yeah that was weird, right?” At the time we were way more concerned with the rising class / new interns (July 1st is a terrifying time to be a patient lol) to make much notice… it always stuck in my head as something super bizarre but it was a long time before I even realized it was Seth Rich. When he arrived he was assigned by our system a trauma number, not a name as his patient ID. I only knew him at that time as Tra### (no freaking way that I remember the actual number). When it came to light who he was a while later I was floored. And terrified.

Anonymous (ID: rhotYJAg) 05/17/17(Wed)13:39:36 No.125916400

Nope, nothing in the head so no freaking way we’d CT before going to the OR with a clear intraabdominal GSW. No need to FAST or anything, just stabilize and go to the OR

Note: “CT” is CAT scan; “GSW” is gunshot wound.

One could always just increase the propofol drip or give him a ton of roc and screw with the vent settings. No idea if that happened but it’d be easy if you have the right meds and access

Anonymous (ID: rhotYJAg) 05/17/17(Wed)13:53:57 No.125918189

He had two holes in his right flank and one in the left upper quadrant. In trauma you always assume by protocol that 3 holes = 3 bullets but it was pretty clear that he was shot twice by the trajectory of the bullet (eg, his liver injury). I’ve also seen enough GSWs to know that the media doesn’t get the number right every time.

Yeah, I’m not going to do that. Way too dangerous.

Alright anons it’s been swell but I’ll be gone for the next few hours for regular residency meeting / journal club BS. Take everything you read especially from the MSM with a grain of salt as usual but don’t stop digging.

23 intelligence-military veterans demand Obama release proof of Russian hacking or admit it’s a lie

23 U.S. intelligence, military and diplomatic veterans have written an extraordinary letter calling on Obama to release the evidence that Russia had hacked the 2016 presidential election in order to elect Donald Trump, or admit that there is no proof.

You don’t and won’t see this letter on the MSM.

The 23 former officials are members of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS).

In their letter, the former federal government officials:

  1. Point out that the Obama administration’s published intelligence report — on Russia’s alleged hacking of the election and transmittal of hacked Democrat emails to WikiLeaks to publish — lacks evidence and is unconvincing.
  2. Assert that, if Russia indeed had transmitted hacked emails to WikiLeaks, the NSA should — but does not — have the incriminating  electronic communications between the Kremlin and Wikileaks.
  3. Assert that the Democrat emails obtained by WikiLeaks were leaked, not hacked, which would explain why there are no electronic traces. By “leaked” is meant that someone(s) handed to WikiLeaks the actual physical hardcopies of the emails. (Note: That is what WikiLeaks has maintained all along. Julian Assange had implied that the source of the leak was a DNC staffer named Seth Rich, 27, who was shot and killed in a D.C. street on July 10, 2016. His murder is still unsolved. We want Justice for Seth Rich!)
  4. Convey their dismay that James Clapper, who oversees the entire U.S. intelligence system as Director of National Intelligence, is still in office despite him having lied under oath to Congress and made outright erroneous claims.

Below is their letter. You can read it in PDF format here. I supplied the red color for certain sentences and paragraphs that I believe particularly merit your attention.

MEMORANDUM FOR: President Barack Obama
FROM: Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS)
SUBJECT: A Key Issue That Still Needs to be Resolved

As President-elect Donald Trump prepares to take the oath of office Friday, a pall hangs over his upcoming presidency amid an unprecedentedly concerted campaign to delegitimize it. Unconfirmed accusations continue to swirl alleging that Russian President Vladimir Putin authorized “Russian hacking” that helped put Mr. Trump in the White House.

As President for a few more days, you have the power to demand concrete evidence of a link between the Russians and WikiLeaks, which published the bulk of the information in question. Lacking that evidence, the American people should be told that there is no fire under the smoke and mirrors of recent weeks. We urge you to authorize public release of any tangible evidence that takes us beyond the unsubstantiated, “we-assess” judgments by the intelligence agencies. Otherwise, we – as well as other skeptical Americans – will be left with the corrosive suspicion that the intense campaign of accusations is part of a wider attempt to discredit the Russians and those – like Mr. Trump – who wish to deal constructively with them.

Remember the Maine?

Alleged Russian interference has been labeled “an act of war” and Mr. Trump a “traitor.” But the “intelligence” served up to support those charges does not pass the smell test. Your press conference on Wednesday will give you a chance to respond more persuasively to NBC’s Peter Alexander’s challenge at the last one (on Dec. 16) “to show the proof [and], as they say, put your money where your mouth is and declassify some of the intelligence. …” You told Alexander you were reluctant to “compromise sources and methods.” We can understand that concern better than most Americans. We would remind you, though, that at critical junctures in the past, your predecessors made judicious decisions to give higher priority to buttressing the credibility of U.S. intelligence-based policy than to protecting sources and methods. With the Kremlin widely accused by politicians and pundits of “an act of war,” this is the kind of textbook case in which you might seriously consider taking special pains to substantiate serious allegations with hard intelligence – if there is any.

During the Cuban missile crisis, for instance, President Kennedy ordered us to show highly classified photos of Soviet nuclear missiles in Cuba and on ships en route, even though this blew sensitive detail regarding the imagery intelligence capabilities of the cameras on our U-2 aircraft.

President Ronald Reagan’s reaction to the Libyan terrorist bombing of La Belle Disco in Berlin on April 5, 1986, that killed two and injured 79 other U.S. servicemen is another case in point. We had intercepted a Libyan message that morning: “At 1:30 in the morning one of the acts was carried out with success, without leaving a trace behind.” (We should add here that NSA’s dragnet SIGINT capability 30 years later renders it virtually impossible to avoid “leaving a trace behind” once a message is put on the network.)

President Reagan ordered the U.S. Air Force to bomb Col. Muammar Qaddafi’s palace compound to smithereens, killing several civilians. Amid widespread international consternation and demands for proof that Libya was responsible for the Berlin attack, President Reagan ordered us to make public the encrypted Libyan message, thereby sacrificing a collection/decryption capability unknown to the Libyans – until then.

As senior CIA veteran Milton Bearden has put it, there are occasions when more
damage is done by “protecting” sources and methods than by revealing them.

Where’s the Beef?

We find the New York Times– and Washington Post-led media Blitz against Trump and Putin truly extraordinary, despite our long experience with intelligence/media related issues. On Jan. 6, the day after your top intelligence officials published what we found to be an embarrassingly shoddy report purporting to prove Russian hacking in support of Trump’s candidacy, the Times banner headline across all six columns on page 1 read: “PUTIN LED SCHEME TO AID TRUMP, REPORT SAYS.

The lead article began: “President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia directed a vast cyberattack aimed at denying Hillary Clinton the presidency and installing Donald J. Trump in the Oval Office, the nation’s top intelligence agencies said in an extraordinary report they delivered on Friday to Mr. Trump.” Eschewing all subtlety, the Times added that the revelations in “this damning report … undermined the legitimacy” of the President-elect, and “made the case that Mr. Trump was the favored candidate of Mr. Putin.”

On page A10, however, Times investigative reporter Scott Shane pointed out: “What is missing from the public report is what many Americans most eagerly anticipated: hard evidence to back up the agencies’ claims that the Russian government engineered the election attack. That is a significant omission.” Shane continued, “Instead, the message from the agencies essentially amounts to ‘trust us.’ There is no discussion of the forensics used to recognize the handiwork of known hacking groups, no mention of intercepted communications between the Kremlin and the hackers, no hint of spies reporting from inside Moscow’s propaganda machinery.

Shane added that the intelligence report “offers an obvious reason for leaving out the details, declaring that including ‘the precise bases for its assessments’ would ‘reveal sensitive sources and methods and imperil the ability to collect critical foreign intelligence in the future.’”

Shane added a quote from former National Security Agency lawyer Susan Hennessey: “The unclassified report is underwhelming at best. There is essentially no new information for those who have been paying attention.” Ms. Hennessey served as an attorney in NSA’s Office of General Counsel and is now a Brookings Fellow in National Security Law.

Everyone Hacks

There is a lot of ambiguity – whether calculated or not – about “Russian hacking.” “Everyone knows that everyone hacks,” says everyone: Russia hacks; China hacks; every nation that can hacks. So do individuals of various nationalities. This is not the question.

You said at your press conference on Dec. 16 “the intelligence that I have seen gives me great confidence in their [U.S. intelligence agencies’] assessment that the Russians carried out this hack.” “Which hack?” you were asked. “The hack of the DNC and the hack of John Podesta,” you answered.

Earlier during the press conference you alluded to the fact that “the information was in the hands of WikiLeaks.” The key question is how the material from “Russian hacking” got to WikiLeaks, because it was WikiLeaks that published the DNC and Podesta emails.

Our VIPS colleague William Binney, who was Technical Director of NSA and created many of the collection systems still in use, assures us that NSA’s “cast-iron” coverage – particularly surrounding Julian Assange and other people associated with WikiLeaks – would almost certainly have yielded a record of any electronic transfer from Russia to WikiLeaks. Binney has used some of the highly classified slides released by Edward Snowden to demonstrate precisely how NSA accomplishes this using trace mechanisms embedded throughout the network. [See: “U.S. Intel Vets Dispute Russia Hacking Claims,” Dec. 12, 2016.]

NSA Must Come Clean

We strongly suggest that you ask NSA for any evidence it may have indicating that the results of Russian hacking were given to WikiLeaks. If NSA can produce such evidence, you may wish to order whatever declassification may be needed and then release the evidence. This would go a long way toward allaying suspicions that no evidence exists. If NSA cannot give you that information – and quickly – this would probably mean it does not have any.

In all candor, the checkered record of Director of National Intelligence James Clapper for trustworthiness makes us much less confident that anyone should take it on faith that he is more “trustworthy than the Russians,” as you suggested on Dec. 16. You will probably recall that Clapper lied under oath to the Senate Intelligence Committee on March 12, 2013, about NSA dragnet activities; later apologizing for testimony he admitted had been “clearly erroneous.” In our Memorandum for you on Dec. 11, 2013, we cited chapter and verse as to why Clapper should have been fired for saying things he knew to be “clearly erroneous.”

In that Memorandum, we endorsed the demand by Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner that Clapper be removed. “Lying to Congress is a federal offense, and Clapper ought to be fired and prosecuted for it,” said Sensenbrenner in an interview with The Hill. “The only way laws are effective is if they’re enforced.” Actually, we have had trouble understanding why, almost four years after he deliberately misled the Senate, Clapper remains Director of National Intelligence – overseeing the entire intelligence community.

Hacks or Leaks?

Not mentioned until now is our conclusion that leaks are the source of the WikiLeaks disclosures in question – not hacking. Leaks normally leave no electronic trace. William Binney has been emphasizing this for several months and suggesting strongly that the disclosures were from a leaker with physical access to the information – not a hacker with only remote access. This, of course, makes it even harder to pin the blame on President Putin, or anyone else. And we suspect that this explains why NSA demurred when asked to join the CIA and FBI in expressing “high confidence” in this key judgment of the report put out under Clapper’s auspices on Jan. 6, yielding this curious formulation:

We also assess Putin and the Russian Government aspired to help President-elect Trump’s election chances when possible by discrediting Secretary Clinton and publicly contrasting her unfavorably to him. All three agencies agree with this judgment. CIA and FBI have high confidence in this judgment; NSA has moderate confidence.” (Emphasis [bold], and lack of emphasis, in original)

In addition, former U.K. Ambassador Craig Murray has said publicly he has first-
hand information on the provenance of the leaks, and has expressed surprise that no one from the New York Times or the Washington Post has tried to get in touch with him. We would be interested in knowing whether anyone from your administration, including the intelligence community, has made any effort to contact Ambassador Murray.

What to Do

President-elect Trump said a few days ago that his team will have a “full report on hacking within 90 days.” Whatever the findings of the Trump team turn out to be, they will no doubt be greeted with due skepticism, since Mr. Trump is in no way a disinterested party.

You, on the other hand, enjoy far more credibility – AND power – for the next few days. And we assume you would not wish to hobble your successor with charges that cannot withstand close scrutiny. We suggest you order the chiefs of the NSA, FBI and CIA to the White House and ask them to lay all their cards on the table. They need to show you why you should continue to place credence in what, a month ago, you described as “uniform intelligence assessments” about Russian hacking.

At that point, if the intelligence heads have credible evidence, you have the option of ordering it released – even at the risk of damage to sources and methods. For what it may be worth, we will not be shocked if it turns out that they can do no better than the evidence-deprived assessments they have served up in recent weeks. In that case, we would urge you, in all fairness, to let the American people in on the dearth of convincing evidence before you leave office. As you will have gathered by now, we strongly suspect that the evidence your intelligence chiefs have of a joint Russian-hacking-WikiLeaks-publishing operation is no better than the “intelligence” evidence in 2002-2003 – expressed then with comparable flat-fact “certitude” – of the existence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

Obama’s Legacy

Mr. President, there is much talk in your final days in office about your legacy. Will part of that legacy be that you stood by while flames of illegitimacy rose willy-nilly around your successor? Or will you use your power to reveal the information – or the fact that there are merely unsupported allegations – that would enable us to deal with them responsibly?

In the immediate wake of the holiday on which we mark the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., it seems appropriate to make reference to his legacy, calling to mind the graphic words in his “Letter From the Birmingham City Jail,” with which he reminds us of our common duty to expose lies and injustice:

“Like a boil that can never be cured as long as it is covered up, but must be opened with all its pus-flowing ugliness to the natural medicines of air and light, injustice must likewise be exposed, with all of the tension its exposing creates, to the light of human conscience and the air of national opinion before it can be cured.”

-End of Memo-

The above memorandum to Barack Obama is signed by the following 23 former U.S. officials who represent the Steering Group of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS):

Everything is Russia’s fault! Obama admin warns Russian hacks may fake election fraud!

The Obama administration has a new all-purpose bogeyman: Russia.

On Oct. 7, the U.S. government identified the Russia government as the hacker of those embarrassing Hillary, DNC, and Podesta emails that WikiLeaks has been releasing, and formally accused Russia of a campaign of cyber attacks against Democratic Party organizations to interfere with the election process.

See “WikiLeaks Podesta emails: Clinton Foundation works with Big Pharma to keep AIDS drug prices high

But the Obama administration provided no actual evidence beyond a vague statement that the CIA is “confident” Russia is the hacker.

Now, the Obama administration has gazed into its crystal ball and issued a new warning — that Russian hackers may fake election fraud.

In other words, sheeple, don’t believe it even if you see clear evidence of voter fraud! That’s just fake voter fraud conjured by those nasty Russians! Baaaaa!

sheeple watch TV

Reuters reports, Oct. 20, 2016, that speaking “on condition of anonymity,” U.S. intelligence and law enforcement officials “are warning that hackers with ties to Russia’s intelligence services could try to undermine the credibility of the presidential election by posting documents online purporting to show evidence of voter fraud,” so as “to create public perceptions of widespread voter fraud.”

The unnamed officials said that they don’t actually have specific evidence of such a nefarious plan, but state and local election authorities had been warned to be vigilant for hacking attempts. U.S. elections are run by state and local officials, not the federal government. On Nov. 8, votes will be cast in hundreds of thousands of polling stations in 9,000 different jurisdictions, according to the National Association of Secretaries of State.

The unnamed officials said “evidence indicates that suspected Russian government-backed hackers have so far tried to attack voter registration databases operated by more than 20 states. Tracing the attacks can be difficult but breaches of only two such databases have been confirmed.”

At the same time, the unnamed officials also said there is no evidence that any hackers have succeeded in accessing equipment or databases used to record votes, and insisted that many states use systems that would be difficult to hack or defraud, including paper ballots which initially are tallied by machines. The officials said that the U.S. election system is so large, diffuse and antiquated that hackers would not be able to change the outcome of the Nov. 8 election.

The U.S. officials declined to comment on Republican candidate Donald Trump’s contention that the election is being “rigged.” Trump had said in the third and final presidential debate last Wednesday night that he would not say until the election results were known whether or not he would accept the outcome. A day after the debate, Trump said he would accept the results of the election “if I win” and that he reserved the “right to contest or file a legal challenge in the case of a questionable result.”

Michael Morell, a former acting CIA director who declared his endorsement of  Hillary Clinton in a New York Times op-ed, accused Trump of being “an unwitting agent of Putin” and that Trump “does not even know he is being manipulated.” On August 8, 2016, Morell told PBS/CBS interviewer Charlie Rose that the U.S. should kill Russians and Iranians to teach them a lesson for supporting the Syrian government against the so-called “rebels” who include radical jihadists.

michael-morell

Rose asked Morell: “We make them pay the price by killing Russians?” Morell answered, “Yeah.” Rose then asked, “And killing Iranians?,” to which Morell said, “Yes … You don’t tell the world about it. … But you make sure they know it in Moscow and Tehran.”

Meanwhile, ZeroHedge reports that Smartmatic, a company associated with George Soros, has secured major contracts to supply electronnic voting machines for 16 states in the U.S., including key battleground states like Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

According to Gateway Pundit, Smartmatic’s board includes Lord Mark Malloch-Brown, a man who had served on the board of George Soros’s Open Society Foundations and who was formerly the vice-chairman of Soros’s Investment Funds.

lord-mark-malloch-brown

According to a cable released by WikiLeaks, in 2000 Smartmatic came out of nowhere and suddenly snatched up major contracts to supply voting machines around the world, including in Venezuela where its board included a Hugo Chavez campaign adviser. In 2004, with Smartmatic voting machines in place, Hugo Chavez won a “landslide victory” that all but destroyed his political opposition.

Here’s the cable:

While the Obama administration is busy accusing Russia of hacking, it turns out the real cyber threat is China.

According to Bloomberg, Internet-connected CCTV cameras made by a Chinese firm, Hangzhou Xiongmai Technology Co., were infected with malware that allowed hackers to takeover “tens of millions” of devices to launch the distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks across the U.S. last Friday, Oct. 21.

In fact, the Pentagon’s Joint Staff recently warned the U.S. military against using equipment made by China’s Lenovo computer manufacturer amid concerns about cyber spying against Pentagon networks. A Sept. 28 internal report from the Pentagon’s J-2 intelligence directorate warned that use of Lenovo products could facilitate cyber intelligence-gathering against both classified and unclassified—but still sensitive—U.S. military networks. One official said Lenovo equipment in the past was detected “beaconing”—covertly communicating with remote users in the course of cyber intelligence-gathering.

WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange: murdered DNC staffer was source of leaked DNC emails

Last month, in the midst of the Democratic National Convention, WikiLeaks spoiled the Demonrat lovefest by releasing some 2,000 Democratic National Committee (DNC) emails that had been hacked by someone(s).

Those emails show the DNC to be thoroughly corrupt. Long before Hillary Clinton won the 2016 Democratic primary elections and became her party’s presumptive presidential nominee, the DNC had become her tool, colluding with journalists to shield her, and working the undermine her fellow Democrat opponent Bernie Sanders. (See “Hacked emails show Democratic National Committee to be corrupt arm of Hillary”)

At the time, we were told that the hacker may be Guccifer 2.0. But it turns out that the source of the emails was a recently-murdered DNC staffer named Seth Rich.

At about 4:19 a.m. on Sunday, July 10, 2016, 27 year-old Seth Conrad Rich was shot and killed in the 2100 block of Flagler Place NW in Washington, DC.

Below is the D.C. Metropolitan Police’s poster offering a reward for information about the murder.

DC Metro Police poster on Seth Rich murder

The murder did not appear to be robbery-related because the killer(s) did not take Rich’s wallet, watch, and phone.

Reportedly, Rich did voter outreach for the DNC.

Shortly after the murder, Redditors and social media users pursued a lead that on the morning of his murder, Rich had planned to speak to the FBI about an “ongoing court case” possibly involving the Clinton family. However, Emily Zanotti of the libertarian news site HeatStreet claims that “Further ‘investigation’ dug up no such court case and there is no evidence whatsoever that Rich, who did voter outreach work for the DNC, had any knowledge of alleged Clinton misdeeds.”

Now, WikiLeaks‘ founder Julian Assange effectively admits Seth Rich was the source of the leaked DNC emails.

Yesterday, in an interview on Dutch television Nieuwsuur, referring to Seth Rich, Assange said:

Whistleblowers have going to significant efforts to get us [WikiLeaks] material and often very significant risks, as a 27-year-old that works for the DNC was shot in the back, murdered, just two weeks ago, for unknown reasons, as he was walking down the street in Washington.”

Asked by his interviewer if Rich’s murder was a robbery, Assange says “No” and that “Our sources take risks and they become concerned to see things occurring like that.”

The interviewer then asks if Rich was one of WikiLeaks‘ sources, Assange nods his head (0:39 mark) and says:

“We don’t comment on who our sources are…. We have to understand how high the stakes are in the United States, and that our sources face serious risks. That’s why they come to us, so we can protect their anonymity…. We are investigating, to understand what happened in that situation with Seth Rich. I think it is a concerning situation. There’s not a conclusion yet . . . but we are concerned about it. More importantly, a variety of WikiLeaks sources are concerned when that kind of thing happens.”

Yesterday, WikiLeaks offered a $20,000 reward for information on the murder of Seth Rich.

WikiLeaks also got hold of — and releasing to the public — thousands of Hillary Clinton’s supposedly deleted emails that she had refused to turn over to the State Department and the FBI. See these FOTM posts on those leaked emails:

Hey, Bernie supporters! This is what new DNC chair Donna Brazile thinks of your man

After WikiLeaks released some 2,000 hacked emails of Democratic National Committee (DNC) officials which show the DNC to be a corrupt arm of Hillary Clinton, including an email proposing to undermine Bernie Sanders by publicizing his Jewishness, Hillary promptly threw under the bus DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and replaced W-S with longtime Democrat apparachik Donna Brazile.

Donna Brazile

Alas, those same hacked DNC emails show that Brazile is no better because she also holds Bernie in contempt, which shouldn’t come as a surprise because back when she was the campaign manager for Al Gore’s presidential campaign, she told The Washington Post that she was determined not to let “white boys” win.

Bernie Sanders 2016 logoFoxNews, reports, July 25, 2016, that the Democrat Party “is in turmoil at the start of their national convention after leaked emails indicating an anti-Bernie Sanders bias inside the operation inflamed the left. But it turns out the leaked emails also show Brazile mocking Sanders.”

Two months ago, on May 22, after Sanders endorsed Wasserman-Schultz’s primary opponent, Donna Brazile wrote in an email to DNC communications director Luis Miranda:

“I saw it this am. How stupid. Don’t know how to respond to Bernie anymore.”

In another email on May 13, 2016, to several DNC operatives about her declining a Washington Post interview request because she was worried what she might say about Sanders’ campaign, Brazile said:

“I have no intentions of touching this. Why? Because I will cuss out the Sanders camp!”

Trying to spin allegations that the primary process had been rigged to favor Hillary, Brazile said “The Democratic Party, we have a very open process!” and that the DNC emails had been “selectively hacked,” whatever that means.

Despite Bernie supporters chanting “Lock her up!” and even booing the servile Sanders when he told the Democratic National Convention delegates yesterday that “we have to elect Hillary Clinton,” Hillary’s campaign manager Robby Mook insists that “Our party is coming together”.

Democrats are also chanting ‘Lock her up!’

Hillary For Prison 2016

The call to “Lock her (Hillary Clinton) up”which began at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland last week is now bi-partisan.

Today is the first day of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, and things are not going well for Hillary.

Already upset at Hillary’s primary shenanigans, supporters of Bernie Sanders are now doubly incensed because hacked Democratic National Committee (DNC) emails show that a DNC official had proposed helping Hillary defeat Bernie in the primary elections by publicizing Sanders is a Jew. (See “Hacked emails show Democratic National Committee to be corrupt arm of Hillary“)

At the Philly convention today, Bernie supporters have been shouting “shame” at outgoing DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, as well as “lock her up!” every time Hillary’s name is mentioned in speeches.

And when Bernie took the stage and told the delegates “And we have got to elect Hillary Clinton,” they booed.

During the Republican Convention last week, TV anchors and talking heads made a big point about how vicious and insulting the GOP delegates were for chanting “Lock her up”. I can’t wait to see the same anchors and talking heads squirm over Democrats chanting the same thing.

Also, independent investigative journalist Wayne Madsen, reporting from Philadelphia, says:

According to well-placed government sources in Washington, DC, WikiLeaks is poised to release additional State Department emails that will show that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton sent even more sensitive classified information via her private servers

The emails are reportedly so damaging to Clinton, advisers to her vice presidential running mate Tim Kaine are fully prepared for the Virginia senator to pick up the reins and lead the Democratic ticket in November.

LOCK HER UP!!!

Hacked emails show Democratic National Committee to be corrupt arm of Hillary

Ask a Democrat about Richard Nixon, and you’ll get an earful about Nixon’s dirty campaign tricks. There’s a reason why his nickname is Tricky Dick.

But it’s a case of the pot calling the kettle black, as shown by some 2,000 Democratic National Committee (DNC) emails hacked by Guccifer 2.0 and recently released by WikiLeaks.

Those emails show that the DNC is thoroughly corrupt. Long before Hillary Clinton won the 2016 Democratic primary elections and became her party’s presumptive presidential nominee, the DNC had become her tool, planning and undertaking dirty tricks to protect her and to undermine her opponents Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump.

If Democrats have even a shred of honesty, they would acknowledge that Hillary Clinton is worse than Richard Nixon — many times worse. At least Nixon did not heartlessly abandon four Americans to die in Benghazi, Libya.

Hillary anti-Christ hellfire

Chuck Ross reports for The Daily Caller, July 22, 2016, that WikiLeaks released nearly 20,000 emails it says are from the accounts of Democratic National Committee (DNC) officials, which could cloud the upcoming Democratic party convention that begins Monday in Philadelphia. The emails were obtained by a self-described Romanian hacker (or hackers) going by the name Guccifer 2.0 through the DNC’s computer systems, but many suspect the hackers to be a team of Russians.

In addition to DNC emails, other documents released by the hacker(s) include internal planning memos and databases of Democratic donors. The DNC, chaired by Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, has admitted that their systems were infiltrated.

The emails, dated from Jan. 2015 to May 25, 2016, come from the accounts of DNC officials. According to WikiLeaks, which is operated by Julian Assange, the release is “part one” of a series it is calling “Hillary Leaks.”

So far, this is what the DNC emails reveal:

(1) Collusion between journalists and the DNC to protect Hillary

In an email from DNC national press secretary and deputy communications director Mark Paustenbach to DNC communications director (and former White House Director of Hispanic Media) Luis Miranda, Paustenbach said Politico‘s chief investigative reporter Ken Vogel “gave me his story,” which was unflattering to Hillary, to read “ahead of time,” before the story goes to Vogel’s editors. Paustenback then asked Miranda to “Let me know if you see anything that’s missing and I’ll push back.”

Mark Paustenbach, Luis Miranda, Ken Vogel

Here’s a screenshot I took of that email from WikiLeaks (click image to enlarge):

In his story, Vogel wrote that although the Hillary Victory Fund was billed as a joint fundraising effort between the Clinton campaign, DNC and state Democratic parties, only a small fraction of funds raised actually went to state parties.

Given a heads up by Vogel, Hillary’s campaign pushed back on the report with a spin by Clinton spokesman Josh Schwerin, who told CNN: “Funds raised through the Hillary Victory Fund are now being used to fund and staff organizing programs in Ohio, Virginia, Florida and states across the country that will register voters, recruit volunteers and organize Democrats to turn out and support candidates up and down the ballot.”

(2) Proposal to undermine Bernie Sanders by publicizing he’s a Jew

In an email on May 5, 2016, from DNC chief financial officer Brad Marshall to Miranda, Paustenbach and CEO of DNC Amy Dacey, Marshall proposes that “we get someone” in Kentucky and West Virginia to ask Bernie Sanders about his (religious) belief — whether he believes “in a God” — in order to impress on Southern Baptists that Bernie is a Jew and an atheist.

WikiLeaks DNC email2(3) DNC approved of fake CraigsList ad to smear Trump as a sexist pig

In an email to Paustenbach and Miranda on May 18, 2016, DNC deputy communications director Christina Freundlich sought their approval for placing a fictitious ad on CraigsList, soliciting “hot women” to work for Donald Trump, who are prepared to endure public humiliation if they gain weight, and to be greeted by Trump “with a kiss on the lips” or a grope “under the meeting table”. The fake ad was approved by DNC communications director Luis Miranda.

Hillary Clinton is not yet president. Imagine what she and the Democrats would do if she is. Dirty campaign tricks are piffling compared to the “tricks” to come.
