For a long time the Left kept coming up with non-starters in their attempt to prove the danger posed by white ex-soldiers coming back into the country. Now they have their poster child.
And yet, nobody stops to ask how this would have turned out if the patrons of the country music club were armed and trained.
Any guesses how long before the truth leaks out, and we know what really happened? To me, this wreaks of false flag and street theater. There is even a report that some patrons were survivors of the Las Vegas shooting.
From Breitbart: Oregon lawmakers passed legislation co-sponsored by Sen. Brian Boquist (R-Dallas) that allows a judge to issue an ex parte ruling for the confiscation of an individual’s firearms.
The bill is SB 719, and it has now passed Oregon’s House and Senate. It creates an Extreme Risk Protection Order, which forces the subject of the order to hand over all firearms, as well as his concealed carry permit if he possesses one. NRA-ILA reports: Based on a California law enacted in 2014, SB 719A would create a so-called “Extreme Risk Protection Order” (ERPO) that could be obtained by a law enforcement officer, family member, or household member in an ex parte hearing to deprive someone of their Second Amendment rights without due process of the law.
The ex parte aspect of the law means the bill does not require the gun owner to be present for part of the hearing in which the judge decides whether guns should be taken from him.
On April 18, 2017, Breitbart News reported that Boquist was pushing this confiscation bill, and he emailed Breitbart News to suggest the bill simply puts forward a law that is popular in other gun-control states. For example, Boquist informed Breitbart News that a similar law “passed the voters in Washington by 70%.” Boquist also told Breitbart News that SB 719 “is not confiscation.” However, the language of SB 719 is quite confiscatory. It says: Requires court to order respondent to surrender deadly weapons and concealed handgun license within 24 hours of service of initial order, and immediately upon service of continued or renewed order. Provides for law enforcement officer serving order to request immediate surrender of deadly weapons and concealed handgun license and authorizes law enforcement officer to take possession of surrendered items.
If a requirement for “immediate surrender” of firearms and concealed carry license upon issue of an ex parte ruling is not confiscation, then what is? The Times quoted Boquist’s defense of the confiscatory bill on the Senate floor, saying, “Everyone wants to promote this as a gun bill. It’s not.”
The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) was founded in Chicago in 1893 as the National Chiefs of Police Union.
IACP’s stated mission is to advance the science and art of police services; develop and disseminate improved administrative, technical and operational practices and promote their use in police work; foster police cooperation and the exchange of information and experience among police administrators throughout the world; bring about recruitment and training in the police profession of qualified persons; and encourage adherence of all police officers to high professional standards of performance and conduct. Note that nowhere in the IACP’s mission is gun control.
AWR Hawkins reports for Breitbart, that on October 26, 2015, the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) met in Chicago for their annual conference where they dropped their push for longer prison sentences and, instead, focused their attention on gun control.
Along with the National Law Enforcement Partnership to Prevent Gun Violence (NLEPPGV), the IACP joined Democrat presidential candidates Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and Martin O’Malley in calling for an expansion of background checks to all gun sales.
Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy
According to ABC 7, Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said the chiefs “are not going to relent” in this push because “This is too important. Americans are dying and we need to do something about it.”
But McCarthy did not address the recent study by the University of Chicago Crime Lab which shows that criminals in his jurisdiction are not getting their guns from gun stores or gun shows or the Internet. Rather, Chicago’s criminals are getting their guns through “personal connections” on the street, which are not affected by background checks on gun sales.
In other words, criminals have already abandoned all the outlets where McCarthy wants to put more gun control. This means the only people who would be limited by the police chiefs’ proposed expansion of background checks are the law-abiding citizens who need guns most.
I was extremely disappointed when I heard that my fellow law enforcement executive colleagues had gotten into bed with Obama and his gun confiscation mission. That’s really what it’s about. It’s not about reducing violence, it’s not about reducing mass murder or suicides. The real intent of Obamaand these gun groups is gun confiscation and they know they are going to have to do it step by step. They’re not going to be able to go after that today, as there would be fierce blowback. So they are doing it in stealth ways and this IACP meeting is one of those ways.
Clarke points out that “the chiefs who met in Chicago speak for themselves, they do not speak for the law enforcement profession.” He says that National Law Enforcement Partnership to Prevent Gun Violence (NLEPPGV) has embedded itself with the IACP, and that doing so is a “slick” way of not simply getting its message out but of making it look like law enforcement really does support more gun control. Funding for groups like NLEPPGV comes from the Ford Foundation, identified by Clarke as part of an “anti-Second Amendment crusade.”
We, in law enforcement, have an obligation to be on the side of crime victims. Not on the side of the criminal element. Gun control has nothing to do with the crime and violence that these chiefs see in their cities on a daily basis and they know it. But many of them, especially in your large urban centers, are under the thumb of anti-gun, soft on crime, mayors. And they have to sing from the same sheet of music that their mayors are singing from.
But the crime and violence we see in our cities and counties is not the result of a lack of background checks, and these chiefs know that. The research and data are there. Criminals don’t care about laws in general and they don’t care about gun laws or gun restrictions. They will find a way to get around those. And that’s why I ultimately say that the chiefs’ push for more gun control has nothing to do with reducing violence. Rather, it has to do with gun confiscation.
Sanford, FL — where George Zimmerman is on trial for murder for the death of teenager Trayvon Martin — has become another Watertown, Massachusetts.
Recall that on April 19, 2013, Watertown became an armed police state. Police in riot gear blanketed the small suburb of Boston, going door-to-door in search of the remaining bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, by bursting into homes with guns drawn, and marching residents out with their hands raised above their heads like criminals. (See “Boston Bombing: Getting the sheeple used to the police state,” April 23, 2013.)
Now cops are doing that again, in Sanford, FL.
Sanford police chief Cecil Smith (l)
As WND reports, July 1, 2013, only this time at least they are knocking on doors instead of knocking them down.
While the media has portrayed Zimmerman as white, he actually has a Hispanic heritage.
Police say they fear a violent backlash from the community when the Zimmerman jury verdict is delivered. Los Angeles had days of rioting when the Rodney King verdict came down.
So Sanford Police Chief Cecile Smith sent cops to go door-to-door talking to people. Smith said, “Our worst fear is that we’d have people from outside the community coming in and stirring up … violence.”
Authorities are seeking help from local pastors in their campaign, too.
What police did in New Orleans during hurricane Katrina was even worse than in Watertown, MA. There, officers simply went into homes and confiscated weapons they uncovered.
Thousands of weapons – legally obtained and owned – were simply grabbed from citizens after New Orleans Police Superintendent P. Edwin Compass III announced, “Only law enforcement are allowed to have weapons.”
One man at a post-Katrina meeting assembled in conjunction with the National Rifle Association said, “The bottom line is this. Once they did it, they set a precedent. And what we’ve got to be sure [of] is that the precedent stops here.”
In a series of videos, the National Rifle Association has documented the stunning weapons grab by police in New Orleans, assembling videos that show them physically taking weapons from individuals, including one woman who was stunned when officers threw her against her kitchen wall because she had a small handgun for self-defense.

Arms build-up continues as Congress demands answers Paul Joseph Watson
March 25, 2013
While the Department of Homeland Security continues to ignore members of Congress demanding to know why the federal agency is engaged in an apparent arms build-up, the DHS has just announced it plans to purchase another 360,000 rounds of hollow point ammunition to add to the roughly 2 billion bullets already bought over the past year.
The DHS has now purchased over 2 billion rounds of ammo.
A solicitation on the Federal Business Opportunities website details the DHS’ plan to purchase 360,000 rounds of “Commercial leaded training ammo (CLTA) Pistol .40 caliber 165 grain, jacketed hollow point.” The bullets are to be delivered to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Artesia, New Mexico, the same destination for 240,000 hollow point rounds which were purchased only last month.
Although the DHS has attempted to explain its mammoth purchase of ammunition by claiming the bullets are being acquired in bulk to save money and that they are for training purposes only, this has been disputed by reputable voices such as former Marine Richard Mason, who told reporters with WHPTV News in Pennsylvania earlier this month, “We never trained with hollow points, we didn’t even see hollow points my entire four and a half years in the Marine Corps.”
Hollow point bullets are almost twice as expensive as full metal jackets, therefore the DHS’ explanation that it is buying huge quantities in bulk to “save money” doesn’t make sense.
As we reported yesterday, concerns about the apparent arms build-up are growing, with retired United States Army Captain Terry M. Hestilow sending a letter to Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) warning that the ammo purchases represent “a bold threat of war by that agency (DHS), and the Obama administration, against the citizens of the United States of America.”
Questions from members of Congress about why the federal agency is buying up ammo, exacerbating shortages across the country, have been met with silence.
– Kansas Congressman Timothy Huelscamp said last week that threats should be made to withdraw funding from the DHS if it didn’t explain why it was purchasing so many bullets, remarking, “They have no answer for that question. They refuse to answer to answer that.”
– Californian Congressman Doug LaMalfa and 14 of his House colleagues have written a letter to the Department of Homeland Security asking if the purchases are, “being conducted in a manner that strategically denies the American people access to ammunition.”
Wants your complete cooperation.
Although members of Congress are treating the matter with the seriousness it deserves, the mainstream and leftist media have attempted to ridicule the entire issue as a conspiracy theory, with Atlantic Wire even suggesting that the story had its origins in a debunked email, a report that completely failed to even mention the admitted fact that the DHS had purchased around 2 billion bullets.
While the DHS continues to purchase bullets in large quantities, police departments have been forced to barter amongst each other in a desperate scramble to meet their ammo needs.
For reference, here is the above poem in its entirety:
For Whom the Bell Tolls – by John Donne
No man is an island, Entire of itself. Each is a piece of the continent, A part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less. As well as if a promontory were. As well as if a manner of thine own Or of thine friend’s were. Each man’s death diminishes me, For I am involved in mankind. Therefore, send not to know For whom the bell tolls, It tolls for thee.

Here’s an example of the power of the New Media of bloggers.
We may not be successful at dislodging corruption and incompetence from the White House and Congress, but in case after case, the volunteer army of citizen bloggers are successful in countering small petty tyrants.
A recent example is the mayor and city council of Guntersville, a city in Marshall County, Alabama. Located at the southernmost point of the Tennessee River on Lake Guntersville, the population of Guntersville was 8,197, according to the 2010 census.
On February 26, 2013, Paul Joseph Watson of Infowars sounded the alert that Guntersville’s mayor Leigh Dollar was working with city officials to pass an ordinance that would give police the power to “disarm individuals” during a disaster.
The new rule would allow authorities to confiscate guns of “unruly” people during an extreme weather event such as the April 2011 tornadoes or any other emergency. “The ordinance states officers could disarm individuals, if necessary, reports ABC 31. “Dollar says the proposal is just way to give officers more authority to protect themselves.”
Dollar denied that the ordinance would be used to take away constitutional rights, but residents questioned why authorities would need to pass a new ordinance given that police already have the power to arrest citizens who are being “unruly,” whether armed or not.
Watson called the proposed ordinance “a chilling example of how the second amendment is being assaulted via the back door” and reminds us of what happened in New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, when the New Orleans Police, National Guard troops, and U.S. Marshals confiscated firearms and only law enforcement was allowed to have guns. The National Guard conducted warrantless house-to-house searches, targeting not just Hurricane-hit areas under the pretext of stopping violent looters, but also high and dry homes that were not even affected by the storm.
The Guntersville gun grab ordinance would be on the city council agenda at their meeting on March 4th.
After the story went viral, relayed by citizen blogger after blogger, Guntersville’s mayor Leigh Dollar backed down!
On February 28, 2013, four days before the city council’s meeting to consider the gun-confiscation ordinance, the City of Guntersville issued this statementon its website:
CITY OF GUNTERSVILLE
DISASTER PREPAREDNESS ORDINANCE STATEMENT
It was never the intent of the City of Guntersville Mayor or City Council to disarm individuals during a disaster.
As of February 27, 2013, the Emergency Preparedness Ordinance was officially withdrawn from consideration.
