Blackout: Major progressive web sites omit report that Starbucks is giving raises as result of GOP tax cut

media TDS
Yesterday at 5:09 am Reuters reported that Starbucks was going to give raises to employees. From the story:
Starbucks Corp (SBUX.O) will use some of the savings from the new U.S. corporate tax cuts to give domestic employees pay raises, company stock and expanded benefits with a combined worth of more than $250 million, the company said on Wednesday.
With the announcement, the world’s biggest coffee chain joins companies like Walmart (WMT.N), Apple Inc APPL.O, Comcast Corp (CMCSA.O) and American Airlines Group Inc (AAL.O) in sharing their tax savings with employees.
Starbucks is known for giving its workers, which it calls “partners,” more generous pay and benefits than other mass-market restaurants and retailers.
“Investing in our partners has long been our strategy, and due to the recent changes in U.S. tax law, we are able to accelerate some significant partner investments,” Chief Executive Kevin Johnson said in a letter to employees.”
Read the rest of the story here.
Over 11 hours later, at 1:45 pm (Central Time), I went to several proggie web sites to search how they reported this great news. I searched the following sites to see if they had “Starbucks” or any story on their home page about this announcement:

At the time of my search, I didn’t find ANY article on this good news on the above web sites. Gee, I wonder why?
CBS news had the story, at the bottom of their home page under the “Money Watch” category. Fox News DID have the story, about a quarter of the way down on their home page.
Wonder if these progressive “news” web sites will get around to reporting this great news as a result of the GOP tax cut plan, which NOT ONE demorat voted for.
No wonder we call them #FakeNews.

PS: I checked all the web sites bulleted above at 9:30 pm last night and STILL NOTHING about the Starbucks announcement. Shocker, not.

Trump Stock Rally Leaving Big Media-Entertainment Behind

The most-biased, left-leaning companies are not thriving? Gee, I wonder why…
trump-and-us-media
From Hollywood Reporter: The Donald Trump election rally that’s sent the Dow Jones Industrial average hurtling toward an all-time high of 20,000 has left behind one key industry: big media conglomerates.
The president-elect has spent the election railing against television news giants like CNN and even right-leaning Fox News Channel. And Wall Street appears to be listening now that the real-estate mogul is heading to the White House. Of the 50 entertainment/media stocks tracked by The Hollywood Reporter, 36 of them lag the 9 percent gain made by the blue-chip index ahead of Friday’s potential record-breaking open.
While it’s tough to say there’s an exact correlation between Trump’s criticism of media and falling stock prices, experts say there are some legitimate concerns for the sector — as well as some lucrative opportunities — under a Trump presidency.
“Media and technology have underperformed because Trump wasn’t exactly favorable to leaders of those industries, so perhaps his policies will reflect that,” said Michael Kramer, founder and portfolio manager of Mott Capital Management. “He has been very critical of media. Obviously, the bad-mouthing hurts.”
trump-and-crooked-media
On the flipside, Steven Birenberg of Northlake Capital Management predicts that a lucrative business environment under Trump will help a variety of industries and it’s only a matter of time before media-entertainment catches up. The FCC, Justice Department and IRS could all adopt a more business-friendly, merger-friendly posture, which would keep stocks humming under Trump, he says.
Among Birenberg’s favorite stocks, all of which he owns shares of, are Comcast and Charter Communications, two of the major players in cable television.
“Cable is a big winner under Trump as net neutrality could go away. At least the odds of the FCC enforcing any price caps on broadband will go away,” says Birenberg, who did not support Trump. “I despise the man … but when it comes to managing my clients’ money, my fiduciary responsibility is to do what is best for them, so if Trump helps out media and entertainment stocks, I’ve got to take advantage.”
He also likes video game publishers Electronic Arts and Activision Blizzard due to the transition to digital downloads and in-game purchases, as well as Live Nation Entertainment, the giant concert promoter that also operates Ticketmaster. “The concert industry is booming globally,” he says.
Trump has been beating the drum against what he considers unfair trade deals with China, and among the biggest losers since the election is Alibaba. The massive Chinese new-media company that is co-producing films with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Partners is off 7 percent since the election.
Another laggard since Nov. 8 is Facebook, down 3 percent. The social networking giant has been under fire from the left for promoting “fake news” and from the right for allegedly pushing negative stories about conservatives and positive ones about liberals.
Also lagging are some theater operators, most notably Regal Entertainment Group, down 7 percent, and Cinemark Holdings, off 3 percent. Movie theaters, though, are expected to get a boost from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which could open this weekend to as much as $350 million globally.
Kramer says the Trump rally has mostly benefited bank, energy and infrastructure stocks, and he suspects it won’t last. “It’s all about tax reform, deregulation and infrastructure and deficit spending under Trump, and those are all pro-growth policies,” he said. “The market is forward-thinking, but it doesn’t know what the actual policies will be, so the rally may fizzle.”
Beyond a Trump effect (perceived or real), there are plenty of issues plaguing individual companies. Disney, for example, will score big with Rogue One, but it lost 2 million ESPN subscribers in the fiscal year ending Oct. 1. As for Viacom, it remains to be seen what new CEO Bob Bakish can do to turn around the Paramount film studio as well as cable channel MTV. And 21st Century Fox was hit by a downgrade Monday by Telsey Advisory Group, which predicts the Rupert Murdoch-controlled company will have to fight European regulators over its planned $14.1 billion acquisition of the 61 percent of British satellite TV service Sky that it doesn’t already own.

BREITBART:
National Journal: Luntz Fails to Disclose Rubio Connection

S.V. Dáte writes at National Journal:

Political junkies who follow Republican messaging guru Frank Luntz know how he felt that Marco Rubio performed in the most recent GOP presidential debate—his televised focus group, his Twitter stream, and his interviews left no doubt that he’s a Rubio fan.

What they probably don’t know about is Luntz’s close relationship with Rubio over the years, and how Rubio paid Luntz’s firm a third of a million dollars to produce and promote a book that Rubio used to improve his statewide name recognition in Florida a decade ago…

Consider the audacity of Frank Luntz telling you what you are thinking

The moment I first saw a Luntz focus group on Fox News I smelled a rat. Thanks to this article in Brietbart, we now have the evidence of false reporting.

Did you think that Cruz or Christy or Trump were your favorite candidate? Now that we have Frank Luntz focus groups, we can rest assured that we actually wanted Marco Rubio!

I am relieved to know that Frank is there to protect me from the costly mistake of not voting for Rubio. Thank you Faux News for helping us to know what we actually thinking. (sarc)

Trump is viciously attacked from left and right: raped, murdered, "cut off his balls"

On June 16, 2015, when Donald Trump announced he’s a candidate for the Republican Party’s nomination in the 2016 presidential election, he said this about the illegals whom the Obama administration is allowing to pour across our border:

“They’re sending people that have lots of problems and they’re bringing those problems. They’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime. They’re rapists and some, I assume, are good people, but I speak to border guards and they’re telling us what we’re getting.”

For correctly saying that there are drug-traffickers and rapists among illegal “immigrants,” Trump is reviled and condemned. Univision and NBC Universal have cut ties with Trump, refusing to air the “Miss Universe” pageant he partially owns; Macy’s has discontinued his clothing line.
If you thought the media pile-on attacking Trump for his comment about “illegal aliens” (a term that is now banned by California governor Jerry Brown) is extreme, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.
Last night (Sept. 23), in an episode titled “Where My Country Gone” (in reference to Trump’s election slogan “Make America Great Again”), Comedy Central’s adult cartoon show South Park depicted Trump as being raped and murdered:
South Park depicts Donald Trump being raped and killed
The same evening, on Fox News’ The [Meghn] Kelly FileNational Review editor Rich Lowry made a crude and vile remark about Trump, saying that in the last GOP presidential wannabes debate, Carly Fiorina expertly “cut off his [Trump’s] balls”:

“…what’s going on here is that last debate. Let’s be honest, Carly cut his balls off with the precision of a surgeon.”

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAkGD-otks4]
Gateway Pundit points out that this is not the first time, but that Lowry “attacks Trump frequently on FOX News.” Trump is demanding an apology from Fox News:
Trump demands apology from Fox News
Given how much The Left-Right Establishment fears him, Trump has my support for that reason alone.
Is it any wonder why good people don’t go into politics?

38 reasons why Obama is a Muslim

Obama in burkaH/t Barry Soetoro Esq.

The media, including “fair-and-balanced” Fox News, have been pummeling Donald Trump for the things he says. Now, he’s being pummeled for things he didn’t say, specifically for not saying that Obama is Christian.
Last Thursday (Sept. 17) night at a Trump rally in New Hampshire, a man said:

“We have a problem in this country. It’s called Muslims. We know our current president is one. You know he’s not even an American — birth certificate, man … We have training camps growing, where they want to kill us. That’s my question. When can we get rid of them?”

Trump responded, “This is how we’re starting? [Audience laugh] We’re going to be looking at a lot of different things. You know, a lot of people are saying that, and a lot of people are saying that bad things are happening out there. We’re going to look at that and plenty of other things.”
For not defending Obama — which, of course, Trump is under no obligation to do — Trump is being trounced by the usual jackals.
DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz called Trump “vile” and “racist.” Hillary Clinton spit out this tweet: “Donald Trump not denouncing false statements about POTUS & hateful rhetoric about Muslims is disturbing, & just plain wrong. Cut it out.” (Source)
That same night, on Fox News’ The [Megyn] Kelly File, Kelly showed a clip from the Trump rally to her studio audience.
[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMJLOpKGd4w]
A blonde woman in a sleeveless black dress questioned Obama’s background and religion (2:37 mark) and said he is a Muslim. Kelly quickly interrupted her, “No, he isn’t.” The woman said, “Well, we don’t know.” To which, Kelly barked, “Yes, we do.”
Then, a black man (wearing glasses) sitting behind the woman jumped in and said that it’s up to Obama to disprove the rumors that he’s a Muslim. The man said:

“…there are large numbers of Americans who have problems with both the philosophical and religious background of [this] president. That’s not the American people’s [but] the president’s job to engage them….”

At which point, Kelly rudely interrupted the man, drowning his voice with her own, indignantly insisting that Obama “is not a Muslim” and that this “was made a campaign issue back in 2008,” which John McCain had “put to rest.”
Megyn Kelly, Mouth of Sauron
To Megyn Kelly, the new Mouth of Obama:
Here are 38 reasons why Americans who are not mind-numbed like you suspect Obama is not a Christian, but is a Muslim.

  17. It is Obama who appointed rabid Islamists to the Department of Homeland Security.

  19. It is Obama who, as an Illinois Senator, thrice voted against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act in favor of infanticide.

  22. It is Obama who refused to condemn the Muslim Fort Hood killer as an Islamic terrorist.

Psychologist says Obama is irrational; questions his sanity

Obama picks noseObama picks his nose at a public meeting

Gina Loudon, Ph. D., is a psychologist and author who’s a Fox News commentator, a columnist for WND and Townhall.com, and the host of Smart Life with Dr. Gina.

Last Tuesday, June 3, 2014, Dr. Loudon was interviewed by Fox’s Lou Dobbs about Obama’s prisoner swap of five Gitmo terrorists in exchange for U.S. Army deserter Pfc Bowe Bergdhal, as well as the imprisonment of Marine veteran Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi in Mexico.

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4zRNhvbbpw]

Dr. Loudon said (beg. at the 2:55 mark):

“I am very, very concerned about the mental stability of this President at this point. Some of his behavior seems irrational to me. It seems beyond that of just a typical narcissistic, arrogant, sort of, ‘I’m a leader of a big country and I feel tyrannical at the moment’ kind of attitude. It really seems to me like this President is demonstrating behavior that is not only anti-American, but irrational and erratic and perhaps not exactly what we might want to deem sane.”

Humans hunted dildos into extinction

Jonathan Mann of CNN International has dildos on his mind.

While talking with a climate change “expert” in Tucson, Arizona, Mann brought up about how global warming is causing entire species to go extinct.

Mann said:

Now extinctions, I don’t have to tell you, have been a part of the history of the world for millenia. And man-made extinctions have even happened before. I guess we hunted the dildo into extinction. Um, but, the Dodo, rather. Forgive me, I’m having trouble with my words today.

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1OCk60sxiI]

Yes, indeed.

Dildo. Dodo. What’s the difference? [Snark]

Why am I not surprised that this clown works for low-ratings CommunistNewsNetwork?

As an example, CNN’s total ratings for Wednesday, July 17, 2013, were a dismal 430,000 for P2+ (Persons aged 2 or more), and 162,000 for the most sought-after viewer category of adults aged 25-54.

In contrast, Fox News’ ratings for the same day were  1,234,000 in P2+ (251,000 in 25-54).

Of course, CNN can always console themselves by looking to MSNBC’s even more dismal numbers of 393,000 in P2+ (124,000 in 25-54).

Ouch!

Puke of the day

Fox news host Geraldo River tweeted this scrawny pic of himself, naked to right above his weewee-maker, early this morning, with this sickeningly narcissistic message:

70 is the new 50 (Erica and family are going to be so pissed…but at my age…)

Geraldo

So now millions across America and the world know Geraldo shaves his pubic hair.

Pass me the barf bag, please! barfbag

3 days ago, Geraldo also tweeted about how wonderful he thinks POS Obama is for his speech about how he’s just like Trayvon. Maybe Geraldo’s naked pic is just his way to audition to be the next Reggie Love.

Just a thought!

Muslim Democrat Congressman goes postal on Hannity

Democrat Keith Ellison, 49, represents Minnesota’s 5th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. He is the first Muslim, a Sunni, to be elected to the U.S. Congress.
This is how a Muslim Democrat Congressman behaves on national TV: a childish tirade of ranting, bullying, and namecalling.
[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vfEauD8-4Q]
Here’s the account by Joe Kovacs for WND, Feb. 27, 2013:
In an epic interview for the ages, a Democratic congressman unloaded on Fox News anchor Sean Hannity Tuesday night with a non-stop verbal assault on the popular host.
Hannity opened up a segment on President Obama’s tactics regarding budget issues by saying, “Our alarmist in chief, President Panic himself, he did not feel the need to be at the White House today, nor did he think it was important enough to visit Capitol Hill and try to hammer out a bipartisan solution to the mess that he himself has put the country in.”

He showed a montage of recent Obama remarks with a soundtrack of ominous music behind it.
Hannity then introduced U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., the first Muslim ever elected to Congress, who took little time to insult the program’s host.
“Quite frankly, you are the worst excuse for a journalist I’ve ever seen,” Ellison told Hannity at the outset. “What you just displayed was not journalism. It was yellow journalism. It wasn’t anything close to try to tell the American people what’s really going on. It’s just shocking to me.”
“Yellow journalism?” responded Hannity. “To play Obama in his own words is yellow journalism?”
Ellison tried to label Hannity as a champion for Republican causes, saying, “You are a shill for the Republican Party and you alibi them constantly. You alibi them 100 percent of the time.”
“I am not a registered Republican. I’m a registered conservative,” Hannity explained.
At one point that became somewhat comedic, Ellison told Hannity, “You said I could rant, and I am.”
“I’ve given you plenty of time to rant,” said Hannity, as Ellison took a brief moment to let Hannity speak. “Oh, you’re so nice to give me a word on my own program.”
At which point Ellison said, “OK, I changed my mind,” talking over the Fox host once again.
“Why are you so angry?” asked Hannity.
“Why are YOU so angry?” Ellison shouted back.
“You’re a broken record,” said Hannity.
“YOU’RE a broken record,” responded Ellison.
Hannity also asked the Democrat whether America’s massive debt was “immoral.”
“You are immoral!” Ellison fired back.
“I’m immoral?” Hannity said. “I didn’t do anything that’s immoral.”
“You say things that aren’t true!” Ellison said.
“Congressman, you are a total waste of time,” Hannity concluded. “I’m moving on because our audience deserves better. Thank you for being with us. I tried to give you a fair shot.”
“No you didn’t,” Ellison said.
***
From Wikipedia:
As a law student in 1989 and 1990, Ellison wrote several columns under the name “Keith E. Hakim” in the student newspaper, the Minnesota Daily. Washington Post Staff Writer Alan Cooperman said that Ellison’s articles “defended Farrakhan against accusations of anti-semitism,” and that Ellison “called affirmative action a ‘sneaky’ form of compensation for slavery, suggesting instead that white Americans pay reparations to blacks.”
During Ellison’s 2006 campaign, however, Ellison denounced Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam in a letter to the Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota & the Dakotas, asserting he had never been a member, and that his connections with the Nation of Islam were limited to an 18-month period during which he helped organize the Minnesota contingent at the 1995 Million Man March.
In 2006, the Minnesota State Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board reprimanded Ellison for unreported campaign contributions, discrepancies in cash balances, and misclassified disbursements during his campaigns for the Minnesota House of Representatives. These transgressions occurred in the years 2002–2004. In 2005, the board opened an investigation, and Ellison was subpoenaed and fined. Ellison was repeatedly fined for late filings, was sued twice by the Attorney General of Minnesota, and was warned about absent or incomplete disclosures.

The 2002 Obama Video Fox News Said It Couldn’t Show

I caught Bill Hemmer’s segment discussing this Youtube video  clip of a 2002 Obama speech at the University of Chicago on Fox News this morning.  He said the clip couldn’t be shown, presumably due to copyright issues.  It’s the same old class warfare and race-baiting that’s been the hallmark of this campaign.
