Transracial Florida man born white claims he is actually Filipino

Filipino Ja Du…pursuing his happiness in his own way

Move over Rachel Dolezal, there’s a new “transracial” in town!
From Daily Mail: A Florida man who was born white is now claiming that he is actually ‘transracial’ and Filipino.
Adam Wheeler, who now goes as Ja Du, considers himself to be from the Philippines and drives around in a Tuk Tuk in Tampa – a vehicle used for public transit in the country.
‘Whenever I’m around the music, around the food, I feel like I’m in my own skin,’ he said to WTSP. I’d watch the history channel sometimes for hours you know whenever it came to that and you know nothing else intrigued me more but things about Filipino culture.’
‘Ja Du’ has embraced most aspects of the adopted culture that he is attempting to adopt as his own. ‘My family knows about my transsexuality but they don’t know anything about this,’ said Ja Du who did not elaborate.
Ja Du has even created a Facebook page and community for other people who believe that they are not the race that they have lived with.
When pressed about cultural appropriation, or the adopting of other cultures and claiming them as their own, he replied: ‘I believe people will [take advantage] just like other people have taken advantage of their identity to get their way, but the difference between me and them is that I don’t want that. I think that we all have the freedoms to pursue happiness in our own ways.’
Psychologist Dr. Stacey Scheckner wants to make sure that the intention behind the choice to be a different race is a genuine one but she feels it’s okay if it doesn’t bring harm.
‘If someone feels that they feel at home with a certain religion, a certain race, a certain culture, I think that if that’s who they really feel inside life is about finding out who you are. The more knowledge you have of yourself, the happier you can be,’ she said. ‘And, as long as it’s not hurting yourself or anyone else, I don’t see a problem with that.’
Rachel Dolezal was an infamous case in the transracial discussion as of late. She was the former president of the Spokane, Washington, chapter of NAACP but when it was revealed that she was a white woman, she was forced to step down.
She had been altering her hair and darkening her skin with makeup to present herself as a blacker woman.

Hypocrites: Hollyweird libtards lecture us about climate change at telethon

ManBearPig approved.
From Daily Mail: The A-list celebrities who starred in the telethon for those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma have clocked up hundreds of thousands of air miles which have fuelled rising temperatures and helped create devastating storms (the Daily Mail article will continue with this global warming theme; ignore they hypberbole).
Tuesday night’s Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief included performances and messages from Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, George Clooney, Cher and Leonardo DiCaprio. They appealed to viewers to donate to help fund relief efforts after the disastrous storms hit the southern US.
But a MailOnline investigation has revealed the extent to which stars have contributed to the catastrophic weather phenomenons with their jet-setting lifestyles.
Justin Bieber is calculated to have travelled at least 136,000 miles in a plane over the last year, environmentalist DiCaprio is believed to have done more than 87,000 miles while fellow actor Clooney did 61,000 miles.
Carbon emissions from plane journeys such as the celebrities’ cause the earth’s temperature to heat and the resulting higher ocean temperatures lead to more powerful hurricanes. The higher temperatures over land and sea mean the storms generate more energy.
Bieber was the biggest culprit, having flown on approximately 45 flights in the past 52 weeks. His longest flight was from Australia to the UK at the beginning of July having been down under on his Purpose World Tour. The 10,638-mile flight burned through a massive 1.8 tonnes of carbon dioxide alone in a year that stacked up against him in terms of his carbon footprint.
Trips to Germany, Dublin, Paris, Cape Town, Mumbai, Rio de Janeiro and to his homeland Canada meant he clocked up a staggering 136,947 air miles burning through 22.45 tonnes of CO2 since September 2016.
The average annual carbon dioxide emissions per person in America is 20 metric tons, compared to a world average of four tons.  This means without even considering the miles he chugs in his cars or the emissions caused by heating and cooling his many homes, Bieber is above the average consumption.
Staunch environmentalist hypocrite Leonardo DiCaprio has been jetting across the globe around twice a month in the past year. The actor flew around 87,609 miles on various business trips and jaunts around the world which burned up 14.8 tons of carbon dioxide. His longest trip was his return journey from California to the south of France where he enjoyed the iconic Cannes film festival.
In April, DiCaprio joined thousands of climate change protesters in Washington DC to mark President Donald Trump’s 100th day in office. Large crowds gathered on Pennsylvania Avenue for the People’s Climate March, an event that saw about 300 coinciding protests around the country, according to organizers.
The mercury rose to around 90F in DC, and protesters brought their own water bottles and sunscreen as they warned about the dangers of global warming.
Holding signs that read ‘There is no planet B’, and ‘Make Earth Great Again’, the protesters say they’re objecting to the president’s rollback of restrictions on mining, oil drilling and greenhouse gas emissions at coal-fired power plants, among other things.
George Clooney spent around 61,448 in the air since September last year which included a long trip to Italy this summer. He is thought to have flown 4,265 miles from Toronto to Los Angeles to attend Tuesday night’s Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief telethon at a cost of 720kg of CO2. His total air time meant his carbon emissions from flying alone was 10.31 tonnes of CO2.
Meanwhile, despite being pregnant with twins, Beyonce still managed to clock up 28,040 miles in 12 months burning through 4.55 tons of CO2.
And at 71, Cher has been a relative homebird compared to the rest of her celebrity compatriots, only appearing to fly within the US in a total of 6,546.
The total emissions only takes into account the flights the celebrities have taken and is likely to be astronomic when driving, pollution from their concerts or films and the electric in their homes are considered.

George Clooney: "Houston is Syria post Hurricane Harvey"

george clooney
Riiiiight. Because Syrian refugees and victims of Hurricane Harvey have so much in common.
Bonus: Not only does Julianne Moore want “re-education for everyone,” she also wants to “eradicate all these borders.”
From Hollywood Reporter: As George Clooney joins efforts to aid victims of Hurricane Harvey, and Hurricane Irma rips through Florida, the Hollywood star on Sunday likened Americans left homeless by catastrophic weather events to Syrians caught up in their country’s civil war.
“It’s going to take a long time … and we’ll all have to be involved, because Houston is Syria,” the multihyphenate said during a press conference for his film Suburbicon, which is screening this week at the Toronto International Film Festival after bowing in Venice. “People in Houston are now refugees based on something that had nothing to do with them. They didn’t do anything. They’re now victims and they’re out of their homes and they will be suffering for a very long time,” he added.
Harvey slammed into Texas’ Gulf Coast on Aug. 25 as a Category 4 hurricane. It was soon downgraded to a tropical storm but lingered for days, dropping up to 50 inches of rain on Houston and the surrounding area before moving eastward to Louisiana.
“We’re going to have to find ways to get involved — that’s our jobs as citizens of the world,” said Clooney. The Hollywood star directed Paramount’s Suburbicon, which features Matt Damon and Julianne Moore as a couple in over their heads with a dastardly plan in a caustic satire penned by Joel and Ethan Coen, Clooney and Grant Heslov.
Moore, also in Toronto to help promote the film, said humanitarian crises like in Syria and hurricane-ravaged Texas and Florida remind Americans they need to come together to help one another. “This is happening everywhere, with people being forced out of their homes and their nations and are looking for places to go. The only way we can help each other is by eradicating all these borders and thinking globally,” said the actress.
Damon said Suburbicon, a drama about very flawed people making very bad choices in a seemingly idyllic 1950s community, also has resonance with the Trump era. “You never know when you’re making a movie. A lot of these current events, we couldn’t have predicted,” said the actor.
A movie inspired by the true-life story of African-Americans who were harassed by their white neighbors to get them to move out of their Levittown, Pa., community in the 1950s, Suburbicon will inevitably be overshadowed by recent events in Charlottesville, Va., Damon suggested.
“Everything was there, but the lid hadn’t been torn off yet. And it seems like this presidency has reinvigorated this certain element, and emboldened them to step out into the open,” the actor said of Donald Trump’s defiant comments about alt-right provocateurs in the wake of the Charlottesville tragedy.
The U.S. president stirred controversy when he initially declined to single out the white supremacists and neo-Nazis whose demonstration against the removal of a Gen. Robert E. Lee statue had led to violence and the death of a counter-protester in Charlottesville.

Hollyweird libtard Jennifer Lawrence: "Hurricanes Irma, Harvey are nature's wrath for Trump victory"

jennifer lawrence

Hypocrite Jennifer Lawrence: So concerned about “climate change” she ignores her own “human activity” and flies by private jet.

She’s got a movie, Mother!, coming out on September 15. Boycott!
From Fox News: Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence suggested the devastating hurricanes in Texas and approaching Florida were signs of “Mother Nature’s rage and wrath” at America for electing Donald Trump and not believing in man-made climate change.
Lawrence, who is promoting her new drama “Mother!,” appeared on British network Channel 4 on Wednesday, where she discussed topics ranging from the movie to the gender pay gap and Trump.
“It’s scary,” the actress responded to the interviewer’s assertion that there was “an end-of-days feeling” across the world and especially in the U.S.
“You know, it’s this new language that’s forming. I don’t even recognize it. It’s also scary to know that climate change is due to human activity, and we continue to ignore it, and the only voice that we really have is through voting.”
“And you have voted very recently, as a country” the reporter noted – to which Lawrence replied that “it was really startling” Trump was elected. She then suggested the recent hurricanes devastating Texas and nearing Florida may have been prompted by Trump winning the presidency.
“You know, you’re watching these hurricanes now, and it’s really hard, especially while promoting this movie, not to feel Mother Nature’s rage and wrath,” Lawrence said.
Lawrence later said the conversation topics of Trump and U.S. politics were “really polarizing and upsetting.”
She added: “You know, I’ve heard things and seen things on TV in my own country that devastate me and make me sick, and it’s just really confusing.”
After being asked whether she finds Trump confusing, the actress fired back, saying, “I don’t find him confusing. I think I know exactly what he is.”
Lawrence has never been shy about sharing her opinions on the President. In 2015, when Trump had just launched his presidential campaign, she said a victory by him would “be the end of the world,” during an Entertainment Weekly interview.

Caught stealing from her own charity: Demorat Corrine Brown guilty on fraud, tax evasion charges

corrine brown

Demorat Brown hopefully will do some time for her crimes.

From Fox News:  Former Democratic Rep. Corrine Brown was found guilty on 18 fraud and tax evasion charges Thursday afternoon in a Jacksonville federal court.
The charges stemmed from accusations she illegally siphoned thousands of dollars from her charity into her own bank account for lavish parties, trips and shopping excursions. Brown was found not guilty on four of the 22 total charges.
Brown served as a Florida representative in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1993 until 2017. She was defeated in her 2016 primary race.
The indictment came after an investigation into the charity One Door for Education Foundation Inc., which federal prosecutors say was purported to give scholarships to poor students but instead filled the coffers of Brown and her associates.
Earlier this year, One Door President Carla Wiley pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud after it as determined that she had deposited $800,000 into the foundation’s account over four years. Over that time, federal prosecutors say it gave one scholarship for $1,000 and that Wiley transferred herself tens of thousands of dollars.
“Congresswoman Brown and her chief of staff are alleged to have used the congresswoman’s official position to solicit over $800,000 in donations to a supposed charitable organization, only to use that organization as a personal slush fund,” Assistant U.S. Attorney General Leslie Caldwell, chief of the Justice Department’s criminal division, said in a statement earlier this year.
Brown’s former chief of staff, Elias “Ronnie” Simmons, and the charity’s president pleaded guilty after their federal indictments for misusing the charity’s funds, and testified against Brown.
Brown said she was left in the dark about the goings-on with One Door’s money, and blamed the theft on Simmons. Brown said she left those details to Simmons and other hired staffers, and said she should have paid more attention to her personal and professional finances.

Travyon Martin will receive posthumous degree in Florida

Trayvon MartinMore proof that college degrees aren’t worth anything these days.
From Seattle Times: MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — A university will award Trayvon Martin a posthumous Bachelor of Science Degree in aviation five years after the black teenager was fatally shot by a neighborhood watch volunteer in central Florida.
An announcement on Florida Memorial University’s official Facebook page says Martin’s parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, will accept the degree during a May 13 commencement ceremony. Fulton graduated from the Miami Gardens university and, along with Tracy Martin, co-founded the Trayvon Martin Foundation.
The university’s statement says it will honor the steps Martin, who was 17 when he died in 2012, took toward becoming a pilot.
George Zimmerman said he shot Martin in self-defense as the teen returned to his father’s home after a trip to a convenience store. A jury acquitted Zimmerman of second-degree murder in 2013.

Court rules that Florida doctors can ask patients about guns and gun safety

adalberto-jordan

Circuit Court Judge Adalberto Jordan

Guns, what guns?
From Fox News: A federal appeals court ruled on Thursday that Florida doctors can talk to patients about gun safety, declaring a law aimed at restricting such discussions a violation of the First Amendment’s right to free speech.
The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals found that the law does not trespass on patients’ Second Amendment rights to own guns and noted a patient who doesn’t want to be questioned about that can easily find another doctor.
“The Second Amendment right to own and possess firearms does not preclude questions about, commentary on, or criticism for the exercise of that right,” wrote Circuit Judge Adalberto Jordan (appointed by Obama and born in Cuba) in one of two majority opinions covering 90 pages. “There is no actual conflict between the First Amendment rights of doctors and medical professionals and the Second Amendment rights of patients.”
Circuit Judge William Pryor, who was a finalist in President Donald Trump’s search for a Supreme Court nominee, said in a separate concurring opinion that the First Amendment must protect all points of view.
“The promise of free speech is that even when one holds an unpopular point of view, the state cannot stifle it,” he wrote. “The price Americans pay for this freedom is that the rule remains unchanged regardless of who is in the majority.”
The law was passed in 2011 and signed by Republican Gov. Rick Scott with strong support from the National Rifle Association. It was the only one of its kind in the nation, although similar laws have been considered in other states.
Supporters in the Republican-controlled Florida Legislature insisted it was necessary because doctors were overstepping their bounds and pushing an anti-gun, anti-Second Amendment agenda.
The law was challenged almost immediately by thousands of physicians, medical organizations and other groups such as the American Civil Liberties Union as a violation of free speech in what became known as the “Docs v. Glocks” case. A legal battle has raged in the courts since then, with several conflicting opinions issued.
“We are thrilled that the court has finally put to bed the nonsensical and dangerous idea that a doctor speaking with a patient about gun safety somehow threatens the right to own a gun,” said Howard Simon, executive director of the ACLU of Florida.
The 11th Circuit noted that Florida lawmakers appeared to base the law on “six anecdotes” about physicians’ discussions of guns in their examination rooms and little other concrete evidence that there is an actual problem. And doctors who violated the law could face professional discipline, a fine or possibly loss of their medical licenses.
“There was no evidence whatsoever before the Florida Legislature that any doctors or medical professionals have taken away patients’ firearms or otherwise infringed on patients’ Second Amendment rights,” Jordan wrote for the court.
The NRA and Florida attorneys had argued that under the law doctors could ask about firearms if the questions were relevant to a patient’s health or safety, or someone else’s safety, and that the law was aimed at eliminating harassment of gun owners. But the 11th Circuit said there was no evidence of harassment or improper disclosure of gun ownership in health records, as law supporters also claimed.
“There is nothing in the record suggesting that patients who are bothered or offended by such questions are psychologically unable to choose another medical provider, just as they are permitted to do if their doctor asks too many questions about private matters like sexual activity, alcohol consumption, or drug use,” the court ruled.
The ruling did determine that some parts of the law could remain on the books, such as provisions allowing patients to decline to answer questions about guns and prohibiting health insurance companies from denying coverage or increasing premiums for people who lawfully own guns.
The case will return to U.S. District Judge Marcia Cooke in Miami for a ruling that follows the 11th Circuit’s direction. The case could, however, also be appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court.

680 Cubans returned home since end of 'wet foot, dry foot'

wet-foot-dry-foot-obama
Via Fox News: About 680 Cubans have been returned to the island from various countries since then-President Barack Obama ended a longstanding immigration policy that allowed any Cuban who made it to U.S. soil to stay and become a legal resident, state television reported Friday.
Cuba’s government had long sought the repeal of the “wet foot, dry foot” policy, which it said encouraged Cubans to risk dangerous voyages and drained the country of professionals. The Jan. 12 decision by Washington to end it followed months of negotiations focused in part on getting Havana to agree to take back people who had arrived in the U.S.
Cuban state television said late Friday that the returnees came from countries including the United States, Mexico and the Bahamas, and were sent back to the island between Jan. 12 and Feb. 17. It did not break down which countries the 680 were sent back from.
The report said the final two returnees arrived from the United States on Friday “on the first charter flight especially destined for an operation of this type.”
Florida’s El Nuevo Herald newspaper reported that the two women were deemed “inadmissible” for entry to the United States and placed on a morning flight to Havana.
Wilfredo Allen, an attorney for one of the women, says they had arrived at Miami International Airport with European passports. The women requested asylum and were detained.
The repeal of the “wet foot, dry foot” policy was Obama’s final move before leaving office in the rapprochement with the communist-run country that he and Cuban President Castro began in December 2014. The surprise decision left hundreds of Cubans stranded in transit in South and Central America.
Before he assumed the presidency on Jan. 20, Donald Trump criticized the detente between the U.S. and Cuba, tweeting that he might “terminate” it.

Florida VA hospital left deceased veteran in shower room for 9 hours, report finds

There IS NO EXCUSE for this. Wait until you see what the hospital said about it. Warning: My response to them is NSFW.
misadministration
From Fox News: An internal report blames staffers at a Veterans Affairs hospital in Florida for leaving the body of a deceased veteran to decompose in a shower for nine hours and then trying to cover it up.
The 24-page report concluded that hospice staffers at the Bay Pines VA hospital failed to provide appropriate post-mortem care to the veteran’s body, Fox 13 Tampa reports.
The report found hospice staff put the veteran’s body in a hallway and left it there for an unspecified time, the station reported. Staff then put the veteran’s body in the shower room and did not “check on the status of the decedent…for over nine hours.”

The Medical Center Director for Bay Pines, Suzanne Klinker. From her bio,”With dedication to the organization’s I CARE values of integrity, commitment, advocacy, respect, and excellence, she oversees health care delivery for the entire organization which includes one large medical center, eight outpatient clinics and 4,000 employees with an operating budget of more than $700 million.” Contact the women dedicated to respect and excellence at 727-398-9300.

The report also found that a staff member then “falsely documented” the incident, Fox 13 reported.
The investigative report said that leaving the body unattended for so long increased the chance of decomposition.
“The report details a total failure on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs and an urgent need for greater accountability,” Rep. Gus Bilirakis, R-Fla., told the station. “Unsurprisingly, not a single VA employee has been fired following this incident, despite a clear lack of concern and respect for the veteran. The men and women who sacrificed on behalf of our nation deserve better.”
The unnamed veteran died in February after spending time in hospice care. The hospital’s Administrative Investigation Board ordered retraining for staff.
Hospital spokesman Jason Dangel told the Tampa Bay Times hospital officials view what happened as unacceptable.

Florida Democrats clucking over voter registration drives at local Chick-fil-A restaurants

How the proggies really feel...

How the proggies really feel…

From Fox News: Democrats in Pinellas County, Fla., are crying fowl over the supervisor of elections’ decision to hold voter registration drives at nine area Chick-fil-A locations earlier this week on National Voter Registration Day.
Susan McGrath

Susan McGrath

Susan McGrath, head of the county Democratic Executive Committee and leader of the Pinellas Stonewall Democrats, a pro-LGBT equality group, says she is all in favor of getting out the vote — just not at Chick-fil-A, the Georgia-based fast-food restaurant chain beloved for its fried chicken sandwiches and its adherence to the Southern Baptist culture of its founder by closing on Sundays. The company’s CEO Dan Cathy has made multiple remarks in the past expressing a personal opposition to same-sex marriage.
According to the Tampa Bay Times and Creative Loafing, McGrath wrote a letter to Elections Supervisor Deborah Clark, who chose Chick-fil-A for the voter drives, saying: “As an elected official, you have a duty to be evenhanded and fair. Surely, you and your office staff do understand that using Chick-Fil-A as the base for voter registration activities is not only inherently unfair but overtly partisan as well. This company has a strong and well-understood history of anti-LGBT activism and is publicly associated with Republican Party values.
Chick-fil-A's xxx

Chick-fil-A’s anti-LGBT stance on display

(Hey McGrath! Did you know that Chick-fil-A distributed food and ice tea to those waiting in line to donate blood after the Orland shooting? Yeah, I didn’t think so.)
She compared it to a Democratic supervisor deciding to hold the event at Planned Parenthood and said the get-out-the-vote campaign might just as well be held at the county’s Republican Party headquarters.
McGrath suggested that a recent surge in the number of registered Democrats in the county may have been an impetus to hold the drive in a place Democrats tend to avoid. “While some Democrats may occasionally dine at Chick-fil-A (and perhaps even members of the LGBT community), the coordination of Pinellas voter registration activities with this right-leaning business very clearly conveys that your office is targeting Republican-leaning voters,” McGrath wrote.
A spokesman for Clark said her office will hold 350 voter drives at hundreds of locations this year. He did not address McGrath’s allegations, other than to say the popular chicken chain gets a lot of customers.
In her letter, McGrath strongly urged Clark’s office to reconsider holding future voter registration events at Chick-fil-A locations.
Across the country, other food establishments are getting into the voter registration game. In Houston, a fleet of taco trucks is now doubling as voter registration centers throughout the city.
