Another LA County “safer-at-home” decree issued due to Wuhan; Hispanics account for 73% of hospitalizations

Month nine of Wuhan virus and Los Angeles County is implementing another “safer-at-home” order. Cases are on the rise so certain public and private gatherings are prohibited, a decree lasting until Dec. 20. Exempt from this decree: church and public protests.

This “decree” was issued because of a fifth consecutive day of 4,500 or more new cases of Wuhan virus. Demorat Mayor Eric Garcetti tweeted the following yesterday:

Sounds like a scary situation, right? Let’s take a look at the numbers, shall we?

Los Angeles County has a population of 10 million.

According to the Los Angeles County Wuhan virus dashboard, the county has a cumulative case count of 381,535. That’s less than four percent of the county population.

There are currently 2,316 people hospitalized with Wuhan virus OR suspect COVID-19. Of those confirmed cases, 24% are in ICU beds.

But look at this number: Of those hospitalized in Los Angeles County due to Wuhan virus, 73% are Hispanic. The next highest number is “other,” with 11%. African Americans make up 6% of those hospitalized and white just 2%.

Next number: Of those Wuhan virus cases admitted to the ICU, Hispanics makes up 70%. The next “known” ethnicity categories in ICU are Asian and African American – each make up 5% of the ICU admissions.

According to the 2018 US Census data, Hispanics account for 48.5 percent of the Los Angeles County population.

I’m not a health expert or a bureaucrat but isn’t the rather large number of Hispanics hospitalized in Los Angeles County disproportionate to their total population number? Could it have something to do with the fact that California is a sanctuary state? Or that cases are spiking in California along the Mexican border?

From my blog post “Why you should support border control: El Paso hospitals full of Wuhan virus patients from Mexico” on November 19:

“Todd Bensman (senior national security fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies) stated, “I just talked to a doctor in Arizona who told me 75 percent of patients in the hospital there are Mexican. And it’s happening in California too.”

Heaven forbid Los Angeles County bureaucrats evaluate the real source of the rise in Wuhan virus hospitalizations. Because it’s obvious to me that a certain ethnicity is responsible, based upon their own data. Seems that it would be prudent to determine their travel patterns or at least intensify contract tracing with those patients.

But that would probably be deemed raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacist.

Instead, ALL peons must be punished. That’s liberal logic for ‘ya.

Fearmongering: Seattle mayor says visiting family during Thanksgiving could mean visiting them in the ICU at Christmas

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan has a frightening message for y’all up north:

Apparently Seattle – and the whole state – is seeing an alarming number of Wuhan virus cases. How bad are the numbers? Let’s take a look, shall we?

As of 11/21/20:

Note that the above numbers are cumulative.

Washington State has a population of 7.6 million people. Total cumulative confirmed cases of Wuhan virus: 141,260. Total hospitalizations: 9,765. Total deaths: 2,619.

You do the math.

Note that on the state’s Wuahn data dashboard, for hospitalizations they state the following: “COVID-19 in Washington State: COVID-like Illness Hospitalizations: COVID-like illness hospitalizations (CLI) are not exact counts of people hospitalized with a COVID diagnosis. Since these data do not rely on a diagnosis, they provide near-real time trends of the outbreak.

Funny how Mayor Durkan wasn’t so concerned with “flattening the curve” during the “summer of love.”

Remember these large, “mostly peaceful” protests?

One thing I learned having grown up and lived in demorat-controlled Washington state for over forty years, the masses will never understand this one simple and obvious lesson:

Experts™: Oregon governor orders a “two-week freeze” to stop the spread of Wuhan virus

Last Thursday, Oregon Governor Kate Brown tweeted that Oregon will be going under a “two-week freeze” to stop the spread of Wuhan virus beginning November 18.

Oregon has a population of 4.2 million. Apparently their Wuhan virus numbers are so drastic that this two-week freeze is required to save lives. Let’s take a look at their Wuhan virus numbers, shall we?

The numbers, updated Nov. 13:

Oregon’s population is 4.2 million. Their total cumulative postive Wuhan virus cases: 52,193. Total deaths from Wuhan virus: 753.

You do the math.

Remember, peons: Now is the time “to do what you’re told.”

Walnut Creek, CA: Doctors have seen more deaths by suicide during quarantine period than deaths from Wuhan virus

What did you think was going to happen when you strip people of their right to earn a livelihood and force them into isolation?

ABC 7 News reported on Thursday that doctors at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek they have seen more deaths by suicide during the stay-at-home order than deaths from the COVID-19 virus. From their report:

“The head of the trauma in the department believes mental health is suffering so much, it is time to end the shelter-in-place order.

“Personally I think it’s time,” said Dr. Mike deBoisblanc. “I think, originally, this (the shelter-in-place order) was put in place to flatten the curve and to make sure hospitals have the resources to take care of COVID patients. We have the current resources to do that and our other community health is suffering.”

The numbers are unprecedented, he said.

“We’ve never seen numbers like this, in such a short period of time,” he said. “I mean we’ve seen a year’s worth of suicide attempts in the last four weeks.”
