The mask comes off: Chick-fil-A donates to anti-Christian, pro-abort, LGBT organizations

About two weeks ago on November 18, 2019, acceding to pressure from LGBTs, Chick-fil-A announced they will no-longer be making donations to Christian groups, such as The Fellowship of Christian Athletes and The Salvation Army.

See Dave’s post “Chick-fil-A Stabs Supporters Squarely in the Back

In explaining Chick-fil-A’s funding decisions, Rodney Bullard, VP of Corporate Responsibility and Executive Director of the Chick-fil-A Foundation said future donations would go to charities in support of education, the homeless and ending hunger because “We don’t want our intent and our work to be encumbered by someone else’s politics or cultural war. If something gets in the way of our mission, that is something that we are mindful of and cognizant of.”

But Salvation Army points out in a press release that it makes no sense for Chick-fil-A to divert funding from the Salvation Army (SA) to hunger, education and homeless organizations because the SA does all three on a massive scale, except the SA doesn’t espouse an LGBT ideology.

Now comes news that Chick-fil-A is sending a $2,500 donation to the anti-Christian and far-left Southern Poverty Law Center and with that, the transmorgrification of Chick-fil-A into an enemy of Christians and of the Right is complete.

Cal Thomas reports for LifeNews.com, Dec. 3, 2019, that conservatives and evangelical Christians had regarded Chick-fil-A as a model company because its founder, the late S. Truett Cathy, ordered that his restaurants be closed on Sundays to allow employees to attend church and spend time with their families. Chick-fil-A also donated to charities that supported the definition of marriage as between a man and a woman, which enraged the Left. LGBT activists declared a boycott of the restaurants which was countered by supporters of Chick-fil-A who showed up en masse to dine in the restaurant chain.

Without any noticeable new pressure, Chick-fil-A suddenly announced it would no longer be donating to Christian charities like The Salvation Army, an organization not known for political activism. Then the restaurant chain announced it is sending a $2,500 donation to the Southern Poverty Law Center, a left-wing organization that lists some Christian ministries as “hate groups,” including the pro-life Family Research Council (FRC).

FRC President Tony Perkins is calling on conservatives to seek a fast-food alternative because “Not only has Chick-fil-A abandoned donations to Christian groups, including the Salvation Army, it has donated to one of the most extreme anti-Christian groups in America” — the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

It turns out the SPLC isn’t the only left-wing organization to which Chick-fil-A donates.

A Nov. 26, 2019 report by Ryan Bromberger for LifeNews.com lists these other recipients of Chick-fil-A’s largesse:

  1. YWCA, the deeply political, radically pro-abortion and pro-LGBTQ organization that repeatedly partners with Planned Parenthood.
  2. The DC-based New Leadership Council that describes itself as a “hub of progressive millennial thought leadership” to “support one another along their individual path to a more progressive political and cultural landscape.”
  3. Chick-fil-A donated $50,000 to The Pace Center for Girls, a pro-abort education and advocacy group that featured feminist Gloria Steinem as their keynote speaker for their most recent girls’ Summit.
  4. In 2017, Chick-fil-A donated $38,700 to Usher’s New Look, R&B star Usher Raymond IV’s liberal non-profit that hosted a Disruptivator Summit on organizing the Left for pivotal social issues.
  5. Chick-fil-A gave $27,500 in 2017 and $25,000 in 2019 to Chris 180, a pro-LGBT behavioral health and child welfare service agency that received an award from the the Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC) — the multi-million dollar LGBT powerhouse that recently pushed for the legalization of prostitution in DC.
  6. Chick-fil-A donates hundreds of thousands a year to Junior Achievement, which in 2016, joined a coalition (Georgia Prospers) of pro-LGBT businesses in a campaign (“Too Busy to Hate”) to politically oppose the religious liberty First Amendment Defense Act from passing in Georgia.

These groups, and many more funded by Chick-fil-A, are clearly political and liberal. So much for “not being encumbered by someone else’s politics or cultural war.”

Trump administration sets new federal rule prohibiting abortion referrals to tax-payer funded clinics

Baby killers Planned Parenthood hardest hit.

From OregonLive: The Trump administration on Friday set up new obstacles for women seeking abortions, barring taxpayer-funded family planning clinics from making abortion referrals. The new policy is certain to be challenged in court.

The final rule released Friday by the Health and Human Services Department also would prohibit federally funded family planning clinics from being housed in the same locations as abortion providers, and require stricter financial separation.

Clinic staff would still be permitted to discuss abortion with clients, along with other options. However, that would no longer be required.

The move, decried by women’s groups and praised by religious conservatives, is the latest in a series of Trump administration efforts to remake government policy on reproductive health. But it could be some time before women served by the federal family program feel the full impact.

Women’s groups, organizations representing the clinics, and Democratic-led states are expected to sue to block the policy from going into effect. Administration officials told abortion opponents on a call Friday that they expect legal action, according to a participant.

In Oregon, Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum said Friday she would sue the Trump administration, saying, “Medical providers, no matter what kind of service they perform, must be able to have candid conversations with patients about all options for care, and without fear that if they say the word ‘abortion’ their clinic could lose federal funds.”

Abortion is a legal medical procedure, but federal laws prohibit the use of taxpayer funds to pay for abortions except in cases of rape, incest, or to save the life of the woman.

Planned Parenthood, whose affiliates are major providers of family planning services as well as abortions, said the administration is trying to impose a “gag rule,” and launched a full campaign to block it. Congressional supporters of the organization said it receives about $60 million a year from the federal program.

“I want our patients to know this — we will fight through every avenue so this illegal, unethical rule never goes into effect,” said Planned Parenthood’s president, Dr. Leana Wen.

She said the new policy would prevent doctors from referring women for abortions “even if your life depended on it.”
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., declared: “Republicans must end their relentless assault on women’s health care and rights.”

It’s a gag rule “for all intents and purposes,” said the American Medical Association.

“The patient-physician relationship relies on trust, open conversation and informed decision making and the government should not be telling physicians what they can and cannot say to their patients,” the AMA said in a statement.

Planned Parenthood and other groups representing the clinics say the new requirements for physical separation of facilities would be costly and all but impossible to fulfill. Planned Parenthood said the administration is making another attempt to drive it out of business, after efforts to deny funding failed in Congress.

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway scoffed at that argument. “They’ve been saying for years they don’t co-mingle their funds, so this should be easy for them,” she told reporters at the White House. “Physically separate and financially separate.”

Religious conservatives see the administration’s action as a way to break down what they call an indirect taxpayer subsidy of abortion providers.

Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, called it “a major step toward the ultimate goal of ending taxpayers’ forced partnership with the abortion industry.”

Dogs say grace, thanking Jesus for their bounty

I just read TrailDust’s excellent post warning us about a new ABC sitcom featuring a vile homosexual activist named Dan Savage, who attacks Christians, conservatives, and anyone who disagrees with his LGBT agenda. Savage is so full of hatred he had openly declared he wishes Republicans “fucking dead” and admitted that he intentionally tried to sicken a conservative and his campaign workers. In 2000, while suffering from the flu, Savage volunteered for former president of Family Research Council Gary Bauer’s Republican primary campaign. Savage tried to pass his flu virus to Bauer and his supporters by licking doorknobs and other objects at a campaign office, and handing Bauer a pen coated with his saliva.

So I found ABC’s feedback page (https://abc.go.com/feedback), and wrote a letter to them, informing them that not only will I not watch their new Dan Savage sitcom, I will not watch any ABC shows or programs, including those of the local ABC affiliate where I live. Go here to see my letter. Feel free to copy and paste and send it to ABC as yours.

Right after I delivered my “feedback” to ABC, I clicked on this video of dogs saying grace and thanking Jesus for their food.

My heart overflowed and, through intermittent chuckles, tears trickled down my face, to know that there are still good people across America who are faithful followers of Christ.

God bless these Americans and expert dog trainers!

So when you feel disheartened by all the evil and darkness around us, re-watch this video. It’s a reminder of what Samwise Gamgee said in Sir Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers:

“There’s some good in the world, Mr. Frodo, and that’s worth fighting for.”

Organization reveals how radical fingered leftwing organization

BOB UNRUH

A video was released today revealing how a terrorist with a gun attacked the Family Research Council office in Washington last fall with the intention of killing everyone he could. The attacker was unsuccessful and was subdued after shooting building manager Leo Johnson in the arm and injuring him. Floyd Lee Corkins II now has entered a plea of guilty to a charge of domestic terrorism, and during an interview with the FBI fingered the leftist Southern Poverty Law Center for describing publicly the FRC as a “hate” group, and listing it that way on the Internet.
