U.S. State Dept memo on bringing foreign Ebola patients to America

We now have the actual State Department memo recommending the “expeditious” importing of Ebola-infected non-citizens into the United States for medical treatment.
It would cost $300,000 to treat each patient and another $200,000 for transportation — expenses that the State Dept. claims will be borne by the patient or their parent organization, and NOT by U.S. taxpayers. But do you actually believe the Obama administration? I don’t.
Since when has Obama actually told the truth about anything? Or have we forgotten his grand promise of “If you like your health insurance, you can keep your insurance,” or “your health insurance premium will actually go down with Obamacare”?
Then there is the graver matter of intentionally bringing into the United States even more people who are Ebola-infected — as if the case of “Patient Zero” Liberian Thomas Eric Duncan isn’t enough — and thereby increases the likelihood that the deadly hemorrhagic virus contaminate and infect more Americans.

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano will become the first female president of the University of California system, officials announced Friday.

“I am pleased to announce that the Special Committee has nominated Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano to serve as the 20th president of the University of California,” UC Regent and Committee Chair Sherry Lansing said.

Napolitano, who will resign from her federal post Friday, will head the 145-year-old, 10-campus system that includes local schools such as UCLA, UC Riverside and UC Irvine. The UC system also includes five medical centers, three affiliated national laboratories and a statewide agriculture and natural resources program.

The system has more than 234,000 students, about 208,000 faculty and staff, more than 1.6 million living alumni and an annual operating budget of more than $24 billion.

Napolitano, one of 300 potential nominees reviewed for the position, received a unanimous vote of recommendation from the 10-member Special Committee, Lansing said.

“While some may consider her to be an unconventional choice, Secretary Napolitano is without a doubt the right person at the right time to lead this incredible University. She will bring fresh eyes and a new sensibility – not only to UC, but to all of California,” Lansing said. “She will stand as a vigorous advocate for faculty, students and staff at a time when great changes in our state, and across the globe, are presenting as many opportunities as challenges. A final decision on Secretary Napolitano’s appointment rests with the full Board of Regents. I can say with great confidence that the Special Committee has put forward a remarkably gifted candidate.”

The full Board of Regents will act on the recommendation Thursday, July 18, during a special meeting following the board’s regular bimonthly meeting in San Francisco.

“For more than four years I have had the privilege of serving President Obama and his Administration as the Secretary of Homeland Security. The opportunity to work with the dedicated men and women of the Department of Homeland Security, who serve on the frontlines of our nation’s efforts to protect our communities and families from harm, has been the highlight of my professional career. We have worked together to minimize threats of all kinds to the American public. The Department has improved the safety of travelers; implemented smart steps that make our immigration system more fair and focused while deploying record resources to protect our nation’s borders; worked with states to build resiliency and make our nation’s emergency and disaster response capabilities more robust; and partnered with the private sector to improve our cybersecurity. After four plus years of focusing on these challenges, I will be nominated as the next President of the University of California to play a role in educating our nation’s next generation of leaders. I thank President Obama for the chance to serve our nation during this important chapter in our history, and I know the Department of Homeland Security will continue to perform its important duties with the honor and focus that the American public expects,” Napolitano said in a statement.

The 55-year-old served as governor of Arizona from 2003 to 2009, when she was named Secretary of Homeland Security.

Current UC President Mark G. Yudof announced in January that he would step down from the office in August after a five-year term.

Sorry, but ding dong the Bitch is Gone. Karma Sis Karma. It’s gonna bite your ugly arse yet.

Latino Grocery Chain Under Attack for Using E-Verify

Mi Pueblo Foods, a supermarket chain serving the hispanic community in California, employs approximately 3,000 people.  The CEO, Juvenal Chavez, is a naturalized citizen.   Homeland Security Newswire reports:

Juvenal Chavez built his Mi Pueblo supermarket chain from the ground up into twenty-one stores, revitalized San Rafael’s Canal neighborhood in San Jose. He has been hailed  the king of Latino supermarket.

Now the entrepreneur has come under fire. Mi Pueblo shocked some of its 3,000 employees last month when it told them the supermarket chain has joined E-Verify, a DHS program that aims to verify the immigration status of new hires and existing employees.

Union activists accuse Chavez of betraying his own people, and are threatening a consumer boycott if he does not pull out of the program by next month.

In my opinion, Mr. Chavez is properly following federal law.  Part of the application for employment for every job in the U.S. includes a DHS Form I-9.  It is basically an affidavit completed by both the applicant and the employer attesting that the identification provided is legal and true and the applicant is eligible to work by federal standards.   The Form I-9 must be kept in the employee’s human resources file to be available for scrutiny.

Employers who use the E-Verify program merely submit the ID provided on the Form I-9.    People with legitimate Social Security Numbers and appropriate ID have nothing to fear.   ~LTG

It's a miracle! Dead people vote in America!

There’s a joke that goes something like this:
“My daddy voted straight-line Republican all his life. Since he died he votes Democrat.”
Indeed, a report last February from the Pew Center on the States found that a whopping 24 million – or 1 in 8 – of active voter registrations in the U.S. have serious errors. Those errors include 1.8 million dead on America’s rolls of registered voters, as well as 2.75 million who are registered as active voters in more than one state. (Source: NY Daily News, Feb. 14, 2012)
More recently, the Orlando Sentinel reports, May 18, 2012, that the state of Florida’s Division of Elections said that 53,000 people registered to vote in Florida are possibly deceased. The department reported that they had also found as many as 180,000 people in the state who were registered to vote, but were not citizens of the United States.
Just this Monday, June 11, 2012, US Department of Justice announced it will sue Florida to stop the state from purging ineligible voters from its voter rolls. The DOJ statement came after Florida had filed suit against the Department of Homeland Security for failing to cooperate with efforts to clean up the state’s voter registration records.
Ever on the cutting edge, Fellowship of the Minds procured a photo of some of those dead voters:

You have one guess as to the party ID of those dead voters! 😀

News Flash! Warning About Nuclear & Power Plants

Sabotage by an insider at a major utility facility, including a chemical or oil refinery, could provide al Qaeda with its best opportunity for the kind of massive Sept. 11 anniversary attack Osama bin Laden was planning, according to U.S. officials.
A new intelligence report from the Department of Homeland Security issued Tuesday, titled Insider Threat to Utilities, warns “violent extremists have, in fact, obtained insider positions,” and that “outsiders have attempted to solicit utility-sector employees” for damaging physical and cyber attacks.

Homeland Security "Minority Report" Technology Identifies Criminals by Intent

More creeping Big Brotherism….
Minority Report is a 2002 futuristic sci-fi movie directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Cruise. The movie is set in the year 2054, when government claims it can predict a crime before it happens. A specialized police department, “PreCrime”, apprehends criminals before they’ve actually committed the crime, based on foreknowledge provided by three psychics called “precogs”.
That is no longer the realm of science fiction. 2054 is here.
The Obama administration’s Department of Homeland Security has developed what it claims to be a crime-predictive technology with the Orwellian name of Future Attribute Screening Technology (FAST).

PressTV reports on May 31, 2011, “Big sis pre-crime system to scan Americans for ‘Malintent'”:

Chilling technology straight out of Minority Report that would subject Americans to  pre-crime interrogations and physiological scans to detect “malintent” at sports stadiums, malls, airports and other public places has moved closer to being  implemented after Homeland Security’s FAST program passed its first round of testing.

Future Attribute Screening Technology (FAST), a U.S. Department of Homeland Security  (DHS) program designed to spot people who are intending to commit a terrorist act, has in the past few months completed its first round of field tests at an  undisclosed location in the northeast,” reports Nature.

The  system works by using a computer program that studies physiological indicators of a person, such as heart rate and the steadiness of a person’s gaze, and then uses the data to make a judgment on whether that individual has “malintent”.

Of  course, the mere sight of TSA goons conducting grope-downs, radiation-firing body scanners, iris-scanning devices and the routine stresses of travel are all likely to raise heart rates and cause anxiousness in people, so the program will undoubtedly snag innocent travelers. The well-trained, cool and composed  terrorist will slip right through, rendering the entire exercise obsolete.  infowars.com

Here’s Homeland Security’s video on FAST:
[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hNDBA6U9a8]
Today, our government says this nifty FAST technology will be used only to spot “terrorists” — the catchall boogeyman. But who’s to say that tomorrow the technology won’t be used against ordinary citizens?
The Constitution’s Bill of Rights be damned. Welcome to 2054 Nineteen Eighty-four, comrades!
